Emmett I. Robertson, an animal nutritionist who worked in the feed industry both locally and abroad died November 26, 1987 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness.Robertson, 78, lived at 573 Kensington Terrace. A resident of Lancaster County since 1948, he formerly lived in Millersville.An animal nutritionist, Robertson had 16 years of academic experience and had worked 26 years in the feed industry field.He was a 1932 graduate of Louisiana State University and received a master’s degree from Washington State University in 1934 and a doctorate from Cornell University in 1946.He had worked as an agricultural extension agent in poultry for King County, Washington, from 1934 to 1937 and as an assistant professor at Washington State University from 1937 to 1941.He served as secretary for the New York War Emergency Feed Commission. He was a poultry extension specialist, instructor, assistant professor and associate professor .
