The current social problem is the problem of juvenile delinquency, the impact arising from juvenile delinquency behavior and wise use of social media among adolescents, namely juvenile delinquency and the use of social media. As we know that there are many bad effects of juvenile delinquency and tend to be negative as well, promiscuity that causes free sex can be fatal to health. Free sex can occur because of the influence of the environment and one's wrong choice of environment in which to hang out. Juvenile delinquency is all behavior that deviates from the norms and values of criminal law committed by adolescents. This behavior can be detrimental to himself and those around him. The negative impacts of juvenile delinquency also vary, ranging from mild ones, such as disturbing the order and tranquility of the environment, to more extreme levels. So in this case we chose the topic for this socialization so that orphanage children don't get caught up in juvenile delinquency. Our goal is to socialize so that the orphans of the Indonesian International Child Assistance Foundation (YBAII) do not commit juvenile delinquency or keep the orphans away from negative things from their surroundings so that they are always on the right path and do not violate existing norms.

Data Analytics and Personalized Marketing Strategies in E-commerce Platforms

The purpose of this study is to identify the most adapted digital data analysis tools for developing individual marketing strategies in the e-commerce segment. In the study the following ranking methods were used: the cross-expert rating (based on individual opinions of 15 specialised organisations) and arbitration rating of the most relevant resource - G2.com. Subsequently, a comparative analysis of the leading E-Commerce Analytics applications was performed in order to obtain the ranking results. Using a methodology that took into account the expert ratings, cross- and arbitrage ratings, as well as the user feedback, it was found that the Glassbox was the best option for large enterprises, particularly, for large e-businesses. Google Analytics, on the other hand, is more popular among smaller companies and is considered a more versatile tool for data analysis. The importance of choosing the right tool for data analytics in e-commerce was also highlighted in the study, as the wrong choice can lead to financial losses and loss of investment. Future researches in this area include the creation of universal algorithms for selecting data analytics software solutions, expanding the range of data analytics applications, and more detail in understanding the specific needs of e-commerce platforms.

Digital transformation as a factor of changes in the organizational behaviour of international companies

Digitalization is an essential process for enterprises in the post-industrial economy, which contributes to increasing their competitiveness and opens up new opportunities for involvement in global digital value chains. Digitalization practice provides for developing recommendations and algorithms for overcoming and preventing errors within the scientific discourse, thus the aim of the article was to determine the impact of digital technologies on the organizational behaviour of international companies and generalize causes of digital transformation failure. Changes in organizational behaviour under the influence of digitalization have been systematized using the generalization method. The causes of unsuccessful digital transformations in organizations have been structured using the five-stage digital transformation model. The main factors of failures at each stage have been discovered. At the stage of automation errors result from the failure to understand the mission and value of the business and to implement digital technologies. At the isolated stage the negative factor is the insufficient support of priority changes and the wrong choice of what exactly needs to be transformed. It has been discovered that at the stage of partial synchronization systemic digital transformation is hindered by an ineffective change management strategy or an insufficient number of transformation projects for adequate change of the overall operation. Problems with the organizational structure or digital literacy can lead to the disruption of digital transformation at the stage of full synchronization. The risks of continuous transformation stage result from losing the priority, ensuring the transformation, due to inflexible culture, lack of discipline regarding the constant identification of new business disruption risks and responding to them. The practical significance of the present research is stipulated by the proposed recommendations for changes in the organizational behaviour of companies that will reduce the risks of failures in particular and failures of digital transformation as a whole

Effect of counseling services on career choice of secondary school students in Anambra state, Nigeria

Many students have made wrong choices in their quest to making a career choice because they failed in making the right choice of counselling administrator. This study examined how counselling services affected the career decisions made by secondary school students in the state of Anambra. The specific aim at evaluating the effect of counselling orientation, appraisal, and follow-up services. The study adopted descriptive survey research design to examine the effect of counselling services on career choice of students in Anambra State. Multiple regression analysis (MRA) was used to test the hypothesis. There are an infinite number of educators and guidance counsellors in the population. Two hundred sixty-seven teachers and school counsellors were selected as the sample size. A questionnaire was used as the tool for data extraction. Data from a four-Likert scale were shown and analysed. The study found that career counselling services affect secondary school students' choices in Anambra. The results led to the conclusion that students in senior secondary schools can make wise career decisions with proper counselling services. The study recommended that directing students towards their areas of strength rather than choosing a career path that is unsuitable for them or that of their peers, can help the students with career decisions. Again, hiring counsellors with formal training and regular meetings between these counsellors and students to discuss issues that affect students' academic performance should also be a priority for school administrators.

Longing for Annabel: Queer Love and the Melancholic Critic

Abstract: This essay advances a queer reading of Edgar Allan Poe's "Annabel Lee" through reframing his relationship with the editor Rufus Griswold, who posthumously printed the poem to accompany his infamous obituary of the poet. I argue that the complicated personal and sexual lives of Griswold offer queer resonances to understand his attachments to the action and feeling of "Annabel Lee." Indeed, the history of Griswold's marriages provides insight into how desire and disavowal create screens for refused melancholic attachments. Narrating his ill-fated second marriage to Charlotte Myers, I show how Griswold's desire to present himself as a normative and proper subject belie an anxiety over what he ends up considering wrong object choice, arguing in his divorce affidavit that she "had been bound, in honor and law, not to receive any man's offer of marriage." What this saga of Griswold's fraught attachments illuminates is how a critic's own entanglements with their objects of study can become rich contexts to understand both their own disavowed attachments and the objects that call forth their interest. As such, I consider how the literary critic's orientation toward objects of critique may be compellingly plumbed and analyzed for ways to engage more directly with the concerns of affect studies, queer studies, and author studies.

Prepositions: Learning Difficulties of a Semantically-Oriented Part of Speech

The learners of English mostly face difficulties in selecting the right preposition for a sentence in speech and in writing. The wrong choice of preposition could occasionally be ascribed to interference and overlap caused between the mother tongue and the target language. One more difficulty may emerge when a single preposition may possibly have more than one semantic use. Document Number Five: Elections and Tutelary Politics in Uganda, 1967–1971

Abstract In July 1970, Uganda’s President Milton Obote published—under his own name—a plan for a new system of single-party elections. ‘Document Number Five’, as it was called, offered a radical solution to a profound problem. Africa’s nationalist politicians had committed themselves to adult suffrage and the secret ballot as an affirmation of the existence of the nation. Yet they feared that an untutored public, encouraged by unscrupulous politicians, would make the wrong electoral choices. Obote’s complex electoral plan was designed to enforce a national approach to campaigning. Yet, more than that, Document Number Five itself was imagined as the focus for a public political discussion that would educate and enlighten the public and discipline political opportunists. Uganda’s English-language media—dominated by a relatively small group, whose educational privilege had brought them to positions of power—became the forum for this discussion. It was a constrained discussion, conducted in the shadow of intimidation, but it was neither predictable nor entirely scripted. Those who wrote and spoke had a wary eye on their personal safety and their careers, but they also had a sense of themselves as intellectuals, whose words mattered to themselves and to others. While the planned elections never took place—forestalled by Idi Amin’s coup—those who spoke and wrote about Document Number Five affirmed the sense of those involved that politics was fundamentally tutelary and that it was their right, and duty, to guide those who were less educated.

 The skills of research activity are necessary for future bachelors studying in the specialty 053 Psychology, both when writing coursework and qualification papers, and in the future in professional activities or further studies in master's and postgraduate studies.
 The task of identifying the quantitative dependence between characteristics is most often found in psychological and pedagogical research.
 However, the question of the correctness, correctness of the use of certain methods of mathematical statistics in the processing of experimental data of psychological and pedagogical research, due to the specificity of the data itself, remains relevant, since the wrong choice of methods and criteria will contribute to the application of erroneous statistical procedures and the formulation of incorrect research conclusions. Therefore, a detailed study of methods, analysis and solution of research tasks is a necessary part of the process of training a competent psychologist.

Chiral Organophosphorus Pharmaceuticals: Properties and Application

This review considers the chiral phosphorus-containing drugs used to treat patients in the clinic, as well as the promising and experimental drugs that are in the process of being researched. Natural and synthetic representatives of phosphorus-containing drugs, such as tenofovir (hepatitis B and HIV treatment), fosfomycin (antibiotic), valinofos (antibiotic), phosphazinomycin A (antibiotic), (R)-phospholeucine, various antibacterial and antifungal agents, renin inhibitors, etc., have found practical applications as medicines and bioregulators and other medicines. The influence of the chirality of both carbon atoms and phosphorus atoms on the pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and toxicological properties of phosphorus drugs has been demonstrated. Therefore, the choice of enantiomers is critical since the wrong choice of a chiral drug can lead to undesirable consequences, carcinogenicity, and teratogenicity. New chiral technologies affecting drug development are discussed, such as the “chiral switch” of racemates already on the market, as well as phosphorus-containing prodrugs with a higher biological selectivity and low adverse effects.

This paper refers to several aspects of research studies supporting the oil and gas industry – in particular underground gas storage (UGS) in depleted deposits and salt caverns – and focuses on questions related to the formation of hydrogen sulphide contamination in reservoir conditions as well as on methods for limiting unfavourable biogenic phenomena. The main problem found at gas storage facilities is the activity of sulphate reducing bacteria (SRB). The elimination or limitation of H2S generation in microbiologically contaminated environments have been the subject of many extensive studies. Biocides, biocorrosion inhibitors and H2S scavengers are widely applied to protect reservoir structure, gas storage infrastructure as well as water-based drilling fluids from the negative effects of bacterial activity. One of the most popular biocidal products, recommended for oil and gas industry are triazine derivatives, laboratory tested in the presented biomonitoring studies. Triazine products prove very effective in biomass reduction and elimination of anaerobic bacteria, especially SRB. Before any industrial operation (based on technology of using biocides), it was necessary to analyse the sulphur compounds in the stored natural gas in different exploitation gas wells of UGS. It was also necessary to investigate the selection of a specific biocidal product and its proper concentration. A concentration that is too low may even stimulate the microbial growth; since the substance is not toxic for microorganisms, they may start to metabolise it. Moreover, the wrong choice of biocides may even generate an economic loss or environmental hazard. Generally, the application of biocides, H2S scavengers and nitrate-based treatment are one of the most effective world strategies to decrease microbiological contamination, which affects various areas of the oil and gas industry. These products have also been successfully applied to control bacterial growth in Polish natural gas wells. The issue of the influence of microorganisms and biomass on the permeability of reservoir rocks was also presented. In addition, the paper refers to biodegradation processes, that take place in the environment of drilling fluids. Also, the issue of choice of biocide/H2S scavenger preparations for industrial applications is presented. The choice of chemicals includes efficiency tests of nanoparticles in contaminated media.

Comparative Analysis of Three Data Mining Tools in the Allocation of Senior Secondary Students into Departments for Career Path

Abstract: Choosing a career path in life begins with studying the right subject combination at the secondary school level. The Nigerian educational system of 6-3-3-4 which makes a student to spend 6 years in pry education, 3 years in junior secondary school, 3 years in senior secondary school and 4 years in the university makes it mandatory for such a student to choose a department of study at the point of entry into the senior secondary school (SSS). It is at this point that a decision is made consciously or unconsciously by the students about life career as the choice of department determines the choice of course of study at the university level later. Students and their parents/guardians often take this decision without any scientific guide which in most cases leads to a wrong choice of career path. In this study, three data mining tools, WEKA, RapidMiner and Orange were employed with three algorithms each to determine the most appropriate tool with the best result in the allocation of senior secondary school (SSS) students to various departments of study. The best algorithm methodology that classified the dataset in WEKA was Random Forest with an accuracy of 100% predicting 308 students correctly. In RapidMiner the best algorithm methodology was Naïve Bayes with an accuracy of 82.9% correctly predicting 73 students. Thereafter, Orange gave the best algorithm methodology to be Random Forest at 98.7333% predicting 304 students accurately. Our study shows that the optimum algorithm suited for the application software implementation to allocate SS1 Students into Department was Random Forest, having highest rates in the Accuracy. Though Orange has additional feature of being able to visualize the output of all the three results in one interface at a glance, and also shows outcome visualizations in various plots and graphs, WEKA’s highest predictive measure of 100% places it above all and makes it the tool of choice with Random Forest being the best algorithm.

Tires are one of the most important elements of vehicles in terms of traffic safety. This is even more evident in unfavourable weather conditions on winter roads. The wrong choice of tires quite often becomes the cause of a traffic accident. It is very important to pay attention to the correct use of tires for drivers of trucks and cars. The vehicle is in contact with the road surface only on the four surfaces of the human palm. Road traffic safety depends on various traffic elements: driver education, road quality and technical condition of cars. Tires are one of the components of a car. Learning the Discovery Learning Model How to Blended Learning in Practicum Using a Simple Volumetric Gasometer to Support Scientific Literacy

Education in the 21st century requires innovation and creativity as well as skills including scientific literacy skills and numeracy literacy, one of which is experimental learning. Often experiments are constrained by insufficient learning time so that learning becomes less meaningful. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the discovery model using the blended learning method using a simple volumetric gasometer in supporting scientific literacy. This research is an experimental research conducted in February 2023 at a Bandung high school. The research population was 432 students of class X at a senior high school in Bandung, which were divided into 12 classes. The sampling technique used simple random sampling so that 70 students were obtained consisting of 35 people from one control class and 35 people from one experimental class. The instrument used is a PISA question with the theme of innovation in alcoholic fermentation technology. Instruments were in the form of multiple choice questions and true wrong choice questions to measure scientific literacy profiles. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the learning outcomes of the discovery model by means of blended learning with practical methods using a simple volumetric gasometer can support scientific literacy.

Modes of failure following locking plate fixation of the distal radius: a thematic analysis of 517 fractures.

Anterior locking plate fixation of the distal radius is a common procedure with reliable results. Failure of fixation is sometimes seen. The aim of the present study was to identify the reasons for failure. In total, 517 cases met the study inclusion criteria. Of them, 23 cases had failure of fixation (4.4%). Failure analysis generated qualitative data. Subsequent thematic analysis identified the primary mode of failure and contributing factors. Primary modes were identified as failure to support all key fracture fragments (n = 20), wrong choice of implant (n = 1), failure of union (n = 1) and poor bone quality (n = 1). Contributing factors were errors in plate positioning, fracture reduction, implant selection and screw configuration, as well as fracture pattern complexity and poor bone quality. Most failed fixations had a primary mode and two or three contributing factors. Overall anterior plating is reliable with a low rate of surgical failure. Knowledge of failure modes will aid operative planning and prevent failure.Level of evidence: V.

Career Finder System using Rule-Based Filtering for University Student Candidates

As a current reality, students are frequently questioned about a suitable career path for the future, but they are unaware of the jobs offered by current industries. Moreover, students seeking university admission frequently encounter difficulties selecting courses and educational programs, and they are confronted with a variety of available courses. This research aims to make a mobile application for students to obtain employment career options appropriate to their educational qualifications because student is often asked about a suitable career for their future but have no idea about the available career path that appropriate. The methodology that implements in this research is Mobile Application Development Life Cycle (MADLC) that have four phases which is identification, design, development, and testing. The Visual Studio Code with Flutter plugin is used to develop the mobile application and its function. Firebase is used to get the database to store all the data and works as backend function of the application. The finished system was tested accordingly based on the functionality that listed all available function of the system. The system considers students' educational qualifications and academic achievements to provide personalized recommendations. This system can assist students in making career decisions and pursuing the right career path, saving them time, and reducing the risk of making wrong choices. This research indicates understanding the importance of career decision-making for students before continuing their university studies. In conclusion, this research seeks to enhance the ability of students to make decision of the available career path provided through recommendation system.

Sources of incentive and entrenchment effects in family firms: balancing self-dealings with operating efficiencies

PurposeThe purpose of the study is to examine how operating efficiencies from incentive alignment compensate for rent extraction in family firms. The author asks whether ownership (1) improves operating efficiencies to increase firm value, (2) positively affects related-party transactions (RPTs), or (3) destroys firm value. Finally, the author assesses whether the incentive effect dominates the entrenchment effect.Design/methodology/approachThis study employs a panel of 333 listed family firms (and 185 nonfamily firms) and handles endogeneity using a dynamic panel system GMM and panel VAR.FindingsOwnership decreases discretionary expenses and increases asset utilization to add firm value. The efficiency gains generate more value in family firms, especially majority-held ones, than in nonmajority ones. However, ownership is also related to increased RPTs (especially dubious loans/guarantees), reducing firm value. RPTs destroy value more severely in the family (or group) firms than in nonfamily (nongroup) firms. It could be why ownership's positive impact on value is lower in family firms than in nonfamily firms. Overall, the incentive effect dominates the entrenchment effect and is robust to controlling private benefits of control in the dynamic ownership-value model.Research limitations/implications(1) A family firm's ownership may not be optimal. (2) The firm's long-term commitment as a dynasty limits the scale of expropriation yet sustains impetus for long-term value creation. The paradox partly explains why large family holdings and firm-specific investments endure over generations. (3) This way, large ownership substitutes weak investor protection in India despite tunneling as skin in the game provides necessary investor confidence. (4) Future studies can examine whether extraction varies with family generations and how family characteristics affect the incentive effects.Practical implications(1) Concentrated ownership may not be a wrong policy choice in emerging markets to draw firm-specific investments. (2) Investors, auditors, or creditors must pay closer attention to loans/guarantees. (3) More vigorous enforcement, auditor scrutiny, and board oversight are needed.Social implicationsFamily firms are not necessarily a bad organization type that destroys investor wealth. They can be valuably efficient due to their ownership and wealth concentration, and frugality. They matter in the economic growth of a developing market like India.Originality/value(1) Extends ownership-performance research to family firms and shows that although ownership facilitates tunneling, the incentive effect dominates; (2) family ownership is not impacted by firm value; (3) family ownership levels reduce discretionary expenses and increase asset utilization to create added value, especially in majority-held family firms; (4) RPTs and loans/guarantees increase with ownership; (5) value erosion from RPTs is higher in family (group) firms than in other firms.

Using Virtual Reality Head-Mounted Displays to Assess Skills in Emergency Medicine: Validity Study.

Many junior doctors must prepare to manage acutely ill patients in the emergency department. The setting is often stressful, and urgent treatment decisions are needed. Overlooking symptoms and making wrong choices may lead to substantial patient morbidity or death, and it is essential to ensure that junior doctors are competent. Virtual reality (VR) software can provide standardized and unbiased assessment, but solid validity evidence is necessary before implementation. This study aimed to gather validity evidence for using 360-degree VR videos with integrated multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to assess emergency medicine skills. Five full-scale emergency medicine scenarios were recorded with a 360-degree video camera, and MCQs were integrated into the scenarios to be played in a head-mounted display. We invited 3 groups of medical students with different experience levels to participate: first- to third-year medical students (novice group), last-year medical students without emergency medicine training (intermediate group), and last-year medical students with completed emergency medicine training (experienced group). Each participant's total test score was calculated based on the number of correct MCQ answers (maximum score of 28), and the groups' mean scores were compared. The participants rated their experienced presence in emergency scenarios using the Igroup Presence Questionnaire (IPQ) and their cognitive workload with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX). We included 61 medical students from December 2020 to December 2021. The experienced group had significantly higher mean scores than the intermediate group (23 vs 20; P=.04), and the intermediate group had significantly higher scores than the novice group (20 vs 14; P<.001). The contrasting groups' standard-setting method established a pass-or-fail score of 19 points (68% of the maximum possible score of 28). Interscenario reliability was high, with a Cronbach α of 0.82. The participants experienced the VR scenarios with a high degree of presence with an IPQ score of 5.83 (on a scale from 1-7), and the task was shown to be mentally demanding with a NASA-TLX score of 13.30 (on a scale from 1-21). This study provides validity evidence to support using 360-degree VR scenarios to assess emergency medicine skills. The students evaluated the VR experience as mentally demanding with a high degree of presence, suggesting that VR is a promising new technology for emergency medicine skills assessment.

The People’s War Against Pandemic: protocol for a randomized control trial based on a virtual interactive training system intervention to improve the emergency preparedness of public for major emerging infectious diseases

BackgroundThe frequent occurrence and increasing severity of major emerging infectious diseases (MEIDs) have posed considerable public health, economic and social issues worldwide. The emergency preparedness of public is inadequate to respond to and recover from MEIDs. Due to the limitation of time, space and resources, it is also difficult to carry out large-scale emergency preparedness training related to MEIDs. Then we developed a virtual interactive training system to improve emergency preparedness of public, including preparation of legal compliance, emergency knowledge, emergency capacity, economic estimation, material reserve and physical and mental health.MethodsA protocol for conducting a randomized controlled trail to evaluate the People’s War against Pandemic, a virtual interactive training system aimed to improve emergency preparedness of public for MEIDs. During the intervention, participants need to complete the storyline task at least once a day, watch at least one article and one video in the knowledge corner, and complete a retest of wrong choices in the intelligent evaluation module. The primary outcome is emergency preparedness of public for MEIDs. The secondary outcome is prevention and control knowledge of MEIDs.DiscussionThe People’s War Against Pandemic may be an effective approach to provide public with a panoramic understanding of the response to MEIDs, so as to promote their comprehensive preparation and finally achieve effective response.Trial registrationThis study was funded in 2021 and registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (registration number: ChiCTR2200060919) in June 2022. Recruitment and enrollment of participants began in July 2022.

Incorrect use of meta-analytic procedures.

Sir, Maggu, et al.[1] described a systematic review and meta-analysis of the prevalence of depression and anxiety in children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. They stated in their abstract and text that the pooled prevalence of depression and anxiety was 27% and 25%, respectively. Given the importance of the subject, the paper was taken up for discussion in eJCIndia, a national network of nearly 900 psychiatric faculty, residents, and practitioners across the country.[2] The discussion in eJCIndia centered around one critical and other lesser points; these are briefly presented. The critical point is that the forest plots, which are key to the meta-analysis, were generated for rate ratios. The rate ratio is the wrong choice of the statistic when the outcome of interest is a prevalence because a rate ratio compares prevalences in two groups; in this meta-analysis, no groups were intended to be compared. If the wrong method was employed for meta-analysis, the results and hence the conclusions may be wrong. Other issues also need to be considered. For example, the horizontal axis in the forest plots was constructed along a logarithmic scale; more correctly, when the outcome is a prevalence, it should have been constructed along an arithmetic scale. Finally, there are discrepancies between the pooled values stated in the abstract and text (27% and 25%) and those evident in the forest plot (26% and 23%). Financial support and sponsorship Nil. Young women in the universities have an independence streak and have no restraints from parents, or school authorities regarding their sex lives, and can have as much sex as desired. If they have little knowledge on how to prevent unwanted pregnancies, they can pick seed and conceive. Lack of support from partners and/or family and limited monetary support lead them to make wrong choices regarding the termination of an unwanted pregnancy. The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge and factors hindering access to safe abortion services among female students at the U.D.S. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted at the U.D.S. 100 female students between the ages of 15 and 45 years were conveniently selected from a database of 187 female students. A questionnaire containing the relevant research questions related to the topic was designed using google forms, pre-tested on randomly selected 20 participants out of the total study population and subsequently self-administered to 100 female students through a web-based electronic platform. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0. Age distribution of study participants: 15-20 Years, 18 (18%), 21-25 Years, 67 (67%), 26-30 years, 15 (15%). Knowledge of abortion laws in Ghana: 71 (71%) Yes, 29 (29%) No. Revision of the current abortion law in Ghana: 72 (72%) Yes, 28 (28%) No. Reasons for change in abortion Laws: Infringes on basic human rights of women 89 (89%), Contents are obsolete 11 (11%). Knowledge of safe abortion methods: 95 (95%) Yes, 5 (5%) No. Knowledge of safe abortion centers: 69 (69%) Yes, 31 (31%) No. Knowledge of qualified safe abortion service providers: Gynecologists 50 (50%), Midwives 28 (28%), Pharmacists 15 (15%), General Nurses 7 (7%). Factors hindering access to safe abortion services: Religious beliefs 50 (50%), Cost of services 30 (30%), Fear of stigmatization 22 (22%), Lack of knowledge about services 8 (8%). Most student participants were between the ages of 21 and 25 years. Majority of the students have knowledge about abortion laws in Ghana, the different methods of safe abortion, and the availability of safe abortion service centers and providers. Half of the students think religious beliefs interfere with their willingness to access safe abortion services and that the Gynecologist is usually the most qualified specialist to provide safe abortion services.
