The present paper discusses the Lingua Franca of the world ‘English language’ and the role of technology in learning and teaching the English language effectively. The 21st-century modern technology has enabled learning and teaching of English very simple. We have a lot to choose from in the world of technology both hardware and software tools: Radio, TV, C.A.L.L, M.A.L.L, CD Rom, Computers, OHP, iPods, the Internet, Electronic Dictionary, Email, Blogs and Audio Cassettes, PPT’s, Videos, DVDs or VCD’s. Technology has brought a revolution in the life of people and completely changed their interaction and work dynamics. Industries were also greatly influenced and couldn’t escape the technical revolution. As a result, technology plays a vital role in teaching and learning. Using technology to teach English has a lot of advantages. Learners can get benefit from traditional educational institutions and also from online education. At the English lessons online we can unite to do the desired task. Different software programs, applications are available in learning Vocabulary, Pronunciation skills, Grammar, and LSRW skills. Many students in developed countries are making use of technology to learn the English language. But many more in underdeveloped countries fail to use tech tools for learning purposes due to inadequate tech facilities.

Machine Learning and Deep Learning Applications in Disinformation Detection: A Bibliometric Assessment

Fake news is one of the biggest challenging issues in today’s technological world and has a huge impact on the population’s decision-making and way of thinking. Disinformation can be classified as a subdivision of fake news, the main purpose of which is to manipulate and generate confusion among people in order to influence their opinion and obtain certain advantages in multiple domains (politics, economics, etc.). Propaganda, rumors, and conspiracy theories are just a few examples of common disinformation. Therefore, there is an urgent need to understand this phenomenon and offer the scientific community a paper that provides a comprehensive examination of the existing literature, lay the foundation for future research areas, and contribute to the fight against disinformation. The present manuscript provides a detailed bibliometric analysis of the articles oriented towards disinformation detection, involving high-performance machine learning and deep learning algorithms. The dataset has been collected from the popular Web of Science database, through the use of specific keywords such as “disinformation”, “machine learning”, or “deep learning”, followed by a manual check of the papers included in the dataset. The documents were examined using the popular R tool, Biblioshiny 4.2.0; the bibliometric analysis included multiple perspectives and various facets: dataset overview, sources, authors, papers, n-gram analysis, and mixed analysis. The results highlight an increased interest from the scientific community on disinformation topics in the context of machine learning and deep learning, supported by an annual growth rate of 96.1%. The insights gained from the research bring to light surprising details, while the study provides a solid basis for both future research in this area, as well for the development of new strategies addressing this complex issue of disinformation and ensuring a trustworthy and safe online environment.

The Evolution of EFL and ELL (2000-2024): Impact of Culture, Technology, and Innovative Pedagogies on Language Learning

For nearly a century, English language has consistently remained a global phenomenon with a continued business relevance; the mandatory inclusion of English Language Learning (ELL) in Asian, African and other non-native English-speaking countries is proof of the same. Consequently, research about English as a Foreign Language (EFL) has continued too. Despite ample empirical studies in the past that have examined the role of culture, linguistics, technology or digital tools in EFL, there are limited studied that holistically investigate and review the learning and successful implementation of EFL and its influencing factors. The current study is an attempt to systematically synthesize the findings from empirical studies undertaken between early 2000 and 2024 in the domains of EFL and ELL for a sample of 53 journal articles. The research also aims to draw a scientific relationship between the most relevant concepts surrounding ELL and EFL. To achieve this, the study conducted a systematic literature review coupled with Bibliometric mapping analysis. The study concluded that the upward surge of technological advancements and World Wide Web has transformed learning EFL. Cultural diversity, and technological or digital tools are key influencing factors and innovative teaching/learning pedagogies in EFL and ELL that can enhance the success rates in EFL and ELL in non-native English-speaking countries.

The development of the world of technology and increasingly advanced internet networks has an impact on people's consumption techniques, thus giving rise to new shopping channels, namely online. People's need for fast information is very easy, can be accessed by anyone, anytime and anywhere. Internet technology has a very big effect on trade or business. Can access information on goods from anywhere, both from prices, specifications, and making purchase transactions. The purpose of this study is to analyze Islamic business ethics in online buying and selling transactions in Indonesia. This research approach collects data through literature studies, which involve reading literature from various sources including books, journals and reports using qualitative and deductive approaches. The findings in this study are that the application of Islamic business ethics in online buying and selling transactions in Indonesia has not been fully implemented, because there are still some sellers who violate the principles of Islamic business ethics. One example is that there are still some sellers who provide escorts or summaries so that the goods received by the buyer do not match the specifications, the seller does not respond to goods complained about by the buyer, and there are still sellers who do not accept returns.

Dakwah Media Radio Jakarta Islami Center (JIC) di Era Digital

The development and advancement of today's technological world have helped overcome various obstacles in life. In the digital era, the fulfilment of information needs is a necessity that cannot be denied. Da'wah through radio media radio owned by the DKI Jakarta government is one of the radios that broadcast Islamic da'wah. Radio as a broadcasting media also has a role in its da'wah mission. Like Radio Jakarta Islamic Center by implementing da'wah programs in its broadcast content. It's broadcast content. This writing aims to describe the role of da'wah through JIC radio media in the digital era. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews with interviewing informants including the head of the JIC radio da'wah program, the head of JIC radio, and two JIC radio broadcasters.JIC, and two JIC radio broadcasters. The data analysis technique is carried out by the results showed that the role of JIC radio media da'wah in the digital era is increasingly enhanced following the development of the JIC radio program. The digital era is increasingly being improved by following technological developments and the use of social media such as YouTube and others. Radio JIC uses some creative strategies when there is media convergence to improve the quality of broadcasters and can to improve the quality of broadcasters and can strive for broadcasters to present material well. The potential use of immersive virtual environments for collecting and archiving heritage gameplay activities in digital libraries

Purpose This paper aims to discuss and propose the potential use of immersive virtual environments (IVEs) for archiving and collecting heritage gameplay activities in digital libraries, which is expected to triangulate further discussions on the said knowledge scopes. Design/methodology/approach The key question of this paper is, how we can preserve and revitalize fading heritage game activities in digital libraries? To answer this, the paper is going to understand the applications of IVEs in heritage studies; the use of telepresence experiences in IVEs for activity-based collection; the creation of virtual and telepresence experiences in digital libraries; and a proposed use of IVEs for archiving heritage gameplay activities. Findings The applications of IVEs and/or other virtual technologies have certainly been gaining positive feedback about their ability to provide vivid images of artefacts and art pieces; perform a high level of interactivity between the exhibits and visitors; enhance visitors’ sense of immersion that evoke their memories of heritage issues; facilitate visitors’ learning process in libraries; increase enjoyment in digital libraries. As mentioned in the previous section, the activity-based historical collection, for instance, the heritage gameplay activities, can be preserved and archived vividly using IVEs. Research limitations/implications This paper is explorative, there is no empirical result for generalization. Originality/value This paper aims to provide librarians with valuable insight to apply IVEs for archiving and collecting heritage gameplay activities. Setting up a new type of digital library is affected greatly by the openness of librarians, visitors’ expectations and a whole lot of things that are happening around the technological world and digital culture. This paper addresses the applications of IVEs in heritage studies, the importance of creating virtual and telepresence experiences for library visits as well as proposing the use of IVEs for archiving heritage gameplay activities.

Learning in the World of Information and Communication Technology through Online Videos: Developing the Ability to Edit videos for Teaching of Lecturers at Souphanouvong University

The purpose of this research study is to improve the basic skills of teaching video media production of teachers, to find problems in the production of teaching video media of Lecturers and to find factors that can motivate Lecturers to produce more of their own teaching video media. Findings revealed that lecturers significantly improved their basic skills in recording, editing, and website creation, achieving nearly 100% proficiency post-training. The Problems found that inadequate computer specifications (66.66%), slow internet connections (38.88%), and a lack of foundational computer knowledge (55.55%). These issues hindered effective practice, highlighting the need for better resources. The research also identified key motivational factors for lecturers, including access to fast, high-quality internet, the requirement for subject-specific teaching videos, and financial support for video production. These factors demonstrated a statistically significant correlation with lecturers' motivation to create and share educational content. Overall, the study underscores the importance of training and resource availability in fostering digital education and identifies specific barriers and motivators that can enhance lecturers' engagement with technology in teaching.

Research on Submersible Position Prediction Based on Kalman Filter Algorithm

The global situation of the world's submersible technology is experiencing a boom, with countries competing to develop advanced submersible equipment to explore the deep sea, undersea resources, and uncharted territories. With the wide range of applications of submersibles in various fields, the risks of communication loss and mechanical failures faced during their missions require the establishment of accurate predictive models of submersible positions to ensure safe and efficient rescue. In this study, a model containing equations of motion is developed from the motion characteristics of a submersible on the seafloor. Uncertainties such as sea currents, topography, and seawater density are considered, and a random walk model is used to simulate these effects to ensure that the model is closer to reality. Subsequently, combined with the Kalman filter algorithm, a time-dependent position prediction model is constructed in this study. The model can predict the position of the submersible in real-time, and after error analysis, it shows that the average variance and root mean square error are at a low level, which proves that its prediction is accurate and reliable, and provides strong technical support for the safe rescue of the submersible.

Using Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) in UAS development

In the dynamic world of aeronautical technology, the development of uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) is an area of continuous expansion and innovation. Technological progress in this sector can be measured by the Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) Scale, which provides a standardized framework for assessing the technological maturity of a product or system. The TRL scale is widely used in industry and research to guide the systematic development of new technologies from concept and initial research to operational implementation and commercialization. This scale can also be successfully used in the research, development, and deployment of an uncrewed aircraft system.

Game-based Learning for Science Education in Institutional Care Settings in Northwestern Mexico

Play has been key to knowledge acquisition, creativity, and innovation. In education, game-based learning (GBL) is a physical and digital environment that enhances learning outcomes in students. This paper presents the results of observational research on game-based learning in science education as a motivation for young students from two institutional care settings in Northwestern Mexico, in the State of Sonora. The observational research touched on 1) game-based learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, and 2) learning motivation in vulnerable student groups. This paper focuses on the authors' experiences, most of them early researchers focused on science education, their purpose of promoting game-based learning in STEM education, and interviews with representatives from both institutions. We found that game-based learning was seen as a novelty, innovative, and motivational way of engaging young students from institutional care settings to learn and become curious about the STEM field. We also designed and created games focused on STEM subjects in both institutions. Students living in institutional care settings face even greater obstacles regarding education. In some instances, the lack of mentorship or follow-up tutoring activities can determine their academic outcome or lack thereof. With the ever-changing world of technology, industries demand highly qualified people in STEM fields. Nonetheless, international organizations such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) have reported that school systems around the world are not equipped with the proper teaching methodologies for students to acquire basic skills such as mathematics nor critical thinking. In Mexico, public school systems and institutional care settings often lack teacher training or mentorship approaches to promote STEM education. This paper concludes with a reflection on the benefits of GBL in STEM education in such settings and suggestions for student-led collaborations with children and youth in such settings.

Quantumness of electron transport in quantum dot devices through Leggett–Garg inequalities: A non-equilibrium Green’s function approach

Although coherent manipulation of electronic states can be achieved in quantum dot (QD) devices by harnessing nanofabrication tools, it is often hard to fathom the extent to which these nanoelectronic devices can behave quantum mechanically. Witnessing their nonclassical nature would thus remain of paramount importance in the emerging world of quantum technologies, since the coherent dynamics of electronic states plays there a crucial role. Against this backdrop, we resort to the general framework of Leggett-Garg inequalities (LGI) as it allows for distinguishing the classical and quantum transport through nanostructures by way of various two-time correlation functions. Using the local charge detection at two different time, we investigate here theoretically whether any quantum violation of the original LGI exists with varying device configurations and parameters under both Markovian and non-Markovian dynamics. Two-time correlators within LGI are derived in terms of the non-equilibrium Green’s functions (NEGFs) by exactly solving the quantum Langevin equations. The present study of non-Markovian dynamics of quantum systems interacting with reservoirs is significant for understanding the relaxation phenomenon in the ultrafast transient regime to especially mimic what happens to high-speed quantum devices. We can potentially capture the effect of finite reservoir correlation time by accounting for level-broadening at the electrodes along with non-Markovian memory effects. Furthermore, the large bias restriction is no longer imposed in our calculations so that we can safely consider a finite bias between the electronic reservoirs. Our approach is likely to open up new possibilities of witnessing the quantumness for other quantum many-body systems as well that are driven out of the equilibrium.

The report also discussed the digital exclusivity throughout the technological world. “Globally, women are seven percent less likely than men to own a mobile phone and 15 percent less likely to use internet in low- and middle-income countries,” the report said. To understand the use of technology in promoting gender inclusivity in classrooms while considering the above context in mind, the researcher would use secondary data and literature. This paper will also attempt to reveal the challenges and gaps that appear consistently while discussing digital learning. It will also try to address some of the issues regarding the same. This paper will specifically focus on how using digital technology could be used to promote gender inclusivity in classrooms. It will also try to understand the policies and its implications that could be helpful in strengthening digital infrastructure within the Indian context.

Blockchain Based Secure File Transfer System with Password Protection

The need of secure file transfer systems is higher nowadays. In order to enhance the security and privacy of private information transferred over the internet, our paper presents a blockchain-based secure file transfer system (BSFTS) with password protection. This system takes advantage of the decentralized and immutable properties of blockchain technology to ensure that every file transfer is Safe and Secure, offering verifiable audit trails that can minimize the threats associated with data tampering and unauthorized access. Through forcing people to use strong, unique passwords for decryption as well as encryption, the combination of password protection further secures files by ensuring that only specified people may access the information. In addition to enhancing data confidentiality, this dual-layer strategy increases defences against possible cyberthreats, including phishing and brute force attacks. Research shows that the blockchain-based secure file transfer system with password protection far exceeds standard file transfer techniques in terms of security and user experience. The results illustrate that password protection and blockchain technology work together to build a robust framework for secure file sharing. Efficiency of Online Learning and Difficulties Encountered: Case of Albanian Students

The end of last century and the beginning of 21st century marked a significant evolution in information technology and virtual world as a whole, which influenced and dictated the way of living and working around the world, especially in the most developed countries. Thanks to this development, it was possible to cope successfully and continuously during Covid 19 pandemic. Education as one of the strategic and most sensitive sectors, due to Covid 19 pandemic, faced the online learning platform around the globe. In the US and in some developed EU countries, the online learning platform has been a practice applied in the past. However, for many other countries, including Albania, the online learning platform was something new that students and faculty had to face at any rate. Yet, are stakeholders ready to face the online learning platform? This study has analyzed some of the obstacles faced by students, upon the implementation of the online platform. It will be observed whether the efficiency of online learning will have the same efficiency as classical learning. These many other questions will be answered through an empirical and theoretical analysis that was made possible through an online survey, which surveyed 1672 students from all private and public universities operating in the Albanian territory. Multi-factor analysis will be performed through SPSS program, ANOVA test, and Chi-square (x2). Finally, some conclusions finalize this scientific study.

TechMark: a framework for the development, engagement, and motivation of software teams in IT organizations based on gamification.

In today's fast-moving world of information technology (IT), software professionals are crucial for a company's success. However, they frequently experience low motivation as a result of competitive pressures, unclear incentives, and communication gaps. This underscores the critical need to handle these internal marketing challenges such as employee motivation, development, and engagement in IT organizations. Internal marketing practices aiming at attracting, engaging, and inspiring employees to use excellent services have become increasingly important. Internal marketing is attracting, engaging, and motivating employees as internal customers to utilize their quality services. Gamification has emerged as a significant trend over recent years. Despite the expanding use of gamification in the workplace, there is still a lack of focus on internal marketing tactics that incorporate gamification approaches. Thus, addressing the challenges related to employee motivation, development, and engagement is crucial. Therefore, as a principal contribution, this research presents a comprehensive framework designed to implement gamified solutions for software teams of IT organizations. This framework has been tailored to effectively address the challenges posed by internal marketing by optimizing motivation, development, and engagement. Moreover, the framework is applied to design and implement a gamified work portal (GWP) through a systematic process, including the design of low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes. Additionally, the GWP is validated through a quasi-experiment involving IT professionals from different IT organizations to authenticate the effectiveness of framework. Finally, the outclass results obtained by the gamification-based GWP highlight the effectiveness of the proposed gamification approach in enhancing development, motivation, and engagement while fostering ongoing knowledge of the employees.

How academic hardiness mediates the relationship between students’ digital informal learning and their academic performance?

ABSTRACT In today's technological world, the impact of digital informal learning on learners’ performance is crucial. This study aimed to investigate the mediating role of academic hardiness between digital informal learning and academic performance. The sample comprised 347 students from Shiraz University who were selected using proportional random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling with SPSS and AMOS software. The findings indicated that digital informal learning has a positive and significant effect on academic hardiness and academic hardiness plays a positive mediating role between digital informal learning and students’ academic performance. Therefore, policymakers, planners, and educators should consider integrating digital informal learning and fostering academic hardiness in programs designed to enhance academic performance.

The relevance of this issue stems from the fact that, in a world of innovative technologies, humans have lost their sense of self, integrated into a technological reality, and distanced themselves from real life. A new type of thinking, focused on acquiring information for the sake of success, leads to serious consequences: emotional tension, fatigue, and stress. People have lost their sense of purpose and abandoned continuous self-improvement, prioritizing the satisfaction of material needs in everyday life. Gradually, individuals themselves turn into commodities, mere elements of virtual communication. This results in a reevaluation of values that alters their consciousness and worldview. However, in order to truly live, people need more than just technolo-gy. They also need the ability to take responsibility, understand and accept objective reality, experience joy, pain, and suffering, and critically assess their own actions. A person cannot become part of an inverted world where technology is valued more than humanity itself.
