Simplify Standard Operations Procedure Electrical Equipment with QR Codes in Order to Optimize Practical Learning at PT PLN (PERSERO) UPDL Palembang

PT PLN UPDL Palembang is one of the training units for all PLN employees in the southern Sumatra region. In organizing practicum learning, it is very important to ensure that all equipment used is covered by standard operating procedure (SOP) documents. The unavailability of SOP documents has the potential to result in work accidents for participants and learning instructors. In addition, the unavailability of SOP can result in damage to equipment. The unavailability of SOP documents is due to several things. Among them: its existence is unknown; the SOP is too large to be impractical; and the SOP is lost or damaged. Based on data from the last 10 years at PLN UPDL Palembang, there are 45 pieces of practicum equipment damaged because they did not follow SOP, or equivalent to Rp. 283,405,000. To ensure the SOPs are always available, they are made in digital and online form. The SOP document is then created as a QR code, which is printed in small size. The QR code sticker is affixed to the practice equipment. To use digital SOP, users only need to scan the QR code via smartphone on each device. One piece of equipment has one QR code.

The level of implementation of occupational health and safety is still far from what was expected, even though the workforce as a company asset requires protection to increase productivity to support the company's development. Work accidents in construction result from a lack of compliance with requirements for implementing occupational safety and health (K3), a lack of awareness by companies and workers about the risks that can be borne, and project implementers ignoring occupational safety and health. The use of personal protective equipment and work protective equipment is mandatory for construction workers to protect workers and construction work

ANALYSIS OF FATIGUE RISK FACTORS ON WORKERS IN X TOFU FACTORY, SEMARANG

Fatigue is a condition where there is a decrease in the capacity or performance of workers who usually appears with feelings of weakness caused by physical and psychological factors. Fatigue in Tofu X factory workers can lead to decreased productivity and/or preparedness which can result in work accidents. The purpose of this study was to analyze work fatigue and the factors that influence work fatigue at Tofu X factory. The data collection process was carried out from November to December 2022, data was taken from 10 (ten) informants (workers). This study used a descriptive qualitative design with observation and in-depth interviews to obtain the characteristics of the informants, physical workload, length of service, and hot work climate. The results of the study showed that workers with a mild underweight nutritional status had the highest fatigue scores compared to normal nutritional status and mildly obese nutritional status. Workers with the female gender, even though they have a lighter workload, still experience work fatigue. Work fatigue in workers with the shortest tenure has a higher fatigue score compared to workers with long tenure. The physical workload felt by workers based on measurements of the working pulse is quite heavy so that complaints arise from workers. Measurements of the hot working climate show that several soybean processing posts have a Wet Bulb Globe Temperature Index above the Threshold Value. Workers experience medium category work fatigue, and symptoms of fatigue are felt in the form of complaints such as dizziness, weakness, aches in several parts of the body, and difficulty controlling emotions

FACTORS INHIBITING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (HOSHMS) AT CILEGON CITY REGIONAL HOSPITAL

Hospitals are one of the places that have a risk of occupational diseases and work accidents caused by various dangerous factors. The potential risk of disease or work accidents does not only occur to workers, patients but also to visitors and the community around the hospital. Therefore, hospitals are obliged to implement occupational safety and health through the management of the Hospital Occupational Safety and Health Management System (HOSHMS). This study aims to determine the relationship between inhibiting factors and the implementation of HOSHMS at Cilegon City Regional Hospital in 2023. The population in this study was all 335 nurses with a sample of 88 respondents. The samples were taken with proportional random sampling. The research design used is cross-sectional with chi square test at the level of significance (CI=95%, α=5%). The research data was collected through direct interviews using a questionnaire. The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between the quality of human resources and the implementation of OSHMS (p-value = 1.000) and no relationship between education and OSH training (p-value = 0.578) with the implementation of HOSHMS. In addition, there was a relationship between data management and OSH information (p value = 0.004) and a relationship between the implementation of law enforcement and the implementation of HOSHMS (p value = 0.012). Hospitals were advised to carry out a continuous OSH monitoring which is carried out in all work units and implement law enforcement more intensively.

Real-time risk assessment of multi-parameter induced fall accidents at construction sites

In this research, a risk assessment model was developed that concurrently considers the location and physiological risk factors for fall accidents in workers at construction sites. In terms of location risk, data on 1683 occupational fall accidents involving 1718 worker casualties in the construction industry were collected for the period 1996–2016 from the Institute of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health (ILOSH), Taiwan. Next, the locations of these fall accidents were identified and defined as hazardous areas, with each area assigned a fall-risk level based on the average number of occupational accidents per year. In terms of physiological risk, the thermal hazard evaluation model, Recommended Alert Limits/Recommended Exposure Limits (RALs/RELs), developed by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), USA was used in this study. This model uses metabolic heat and wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) to recommend hourly rest/work times for workers. Using WBGT and one hour as the basic unit of time, varying degrees of metabolic heat, defined as metabolic heat loading severity (MHLS), were obtained. An optical heart rate (HR) sensor was applied in this study to measure HR, which was subsequently converted to a metabolic heat value using the Malchaire J metabolic heat evaluation model. Next, metabolic heat loading risk level was evaluated based on the MHLS. Finally, the location-based fall-risk level was multiplied by the MHLS, generating a risk evaluation model for fall accidents. The evaluation results identify the real-time fall-risk level of each worker and, if needed, suggest actions to be taken to mitigate the elevated risks of fall accidents identified by the model.

Risk Analysis of Work Accidents in the Construction Project of Class D Pratama Hospital Building Construction of Nias Regency

In the construction project of RSU D Pratama in Nias Regency, this study aims to identify variables that increase the risk of work accidents. The author of this study used quantitative methods. The aspects used by researchers to identify the risk of work accidents include Factors of Work Accidents, Factors Causing Disease, Factors Causing Work Accident Hazards in Development Construction Projects, and Protection Factors for the Application of Occupational Safety and Health. Based on the results of the study, almost all aspects of the Class D Primary Hospital building in Nias Regency have occupational accident risks that have an impact on Occupational Safety and Health (K3).

The Mediating Role of Intrinsic Motivation in the Relationship Between Organizational Support and Quantitative Workload and Work-Related Fatigue

Increasingly tight job competition means that workers often ignore work-related fatigue conditions, which can negatively impact workers and organizations, resulting in decreased health and work effectiveness and even work accidents. In order to prevent this, proper work-related fatigue management is needed. This research examines the role of intrinsic motivation as a mediator in the relationship between organizational support and quantitative workload with work-related fatigue. This research is quantitative research with a survey method. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling. The measuring instruments used are the Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion/Recovery Scale (OFER), the Quantitative Workload Inventory (QWI), the short version of the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS), and the Situational Motivation Scale (SIMS). Data analysis used path analysis and bootstrapping in SmartPLS 3.0. The analysis results show no mediating role for intrinsic motivation in the relationship between organizational support and quantitative workload with work-related fatigue. A high quantitative workload triggers increased work-related fatigue, so it needs to be balanced with sufficient organizational support.

Analisis Kecelakaan Kerja Pada Atlet Sepatu Roda Jawa Tengah

Roller skating is a sport that is being favored by the community. This sport has a high risk of danger that can cause various injuries. This study aims to analyze work accidents in Central Java’s roller skate athletes. The type of research used is qualitative research. The research subjects were roller skaters in Central Java as the main informants and roller skate trainers in Central Java as triangulation informants. Informants were selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the factors that cause accidents in roller skate athletes are mostly due to collisions and slips. Potential injuries that are often experienced by roller skaters in Central Java are injuries to the ankle, knee, lower leg, upper leg, elbow, finger and wrist, waist and hip. More specifically, the types of injuries that occur are injuries such as skin abrasions, abrasions, bruises, cramps, cramps or muscle spasms, and dislocations. The conclusion is that injuries that occur are caused by falls/ slips due to collisions between athletes, the shape and condition of the track, the techniques used by athletes, and the condition of the equipment used can also determine the level of injury received.

Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Deteksi Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) untuk Pekerja Proyek dengan Menggunakan Algoritma Yolov5

The risk of work accidents that can be experienced by project workers is very high in the world of construction. This can be caused by behavioral factors, one of which is project workers' indiscipline in wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which can endanger the personal safety of project workers. By utilizing Artificial Intelligence technology, with the computer vision domain, researchers created a PPE detection application using the YoloV5 algorithm. The stage of creating this detection application starts from the process of problem scoping, data acquisition, data exploration, modeling, evaluation and deployment. The dataset used in making this application was taken from Saravana Alagar via Google Drive, covering 4 PPE objects, namely helmets, masks, vests and shoes. By conducting a training dataset of 100 epochs, the percentage results given were very good, namely helmets 96%, vests 96%, masks 95%, and shoes 92%. It is hoped that making this application can minimize cases of work accidents that occur in the project worker area and can increase discipline in using project PPE

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) of Work Accidents on Wood Work Machines in the Construction Workshop

This research was motivated by the occurrence of work accidents that occurred in wood construction workshops and also the magnitude of potential hazards that might cause work accidents. The purpose of this study is first; To reveal how many types of static machines there are in the wood construction workshop. Second; Reveal the forms of accidents that have the potential to occur in woodworking machines. Third; Conduct JSA on the form of potential hazards of work accidents that may occur in the use of wood work machines. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with a survey method using the Guttman scale which produces percentages. This research was conducted on lecturers of wood work practice courses along with technicians of the Wood Construction Workshop of the Department of Civil Engineering FT UNP. The findings of this study are that first; The number of types of static wood work machines used routinely by students / lecturers in wood construction workshops is 6 (six), namely armed-arm circular saws, flattening crabs, thickening crabs, tabled circular saws, chisels, and combination crabs. Second;Forms of work accidents that may occur include the use of machines exceeding normal limits, machine layout, machine maintenance processes, experience of machine use processes, maintenance on machines, the occurrence of short circuit sources on machines, cleanliness of the work environment, and implementation of machine usage procedures. Third; JSA in this study is to control aspects of machine operation including by requiring all students to use complete personal protective equipment, giving obligations to lecturers of courses and practices along with technicians or instructors to strictly supervise the use of machines that have the potential to cause accidents.

Work Accident Risk Analysis in Tukad Ayung Bridge Replacement Project

Analysis of the risk of work accidents in the Tukad Ayung Bridge replacement project needs to be carried out by identifying, assessing, and controlling risks using the HIRARC method. This study aims to conduct a work accident risk analysis in the Tukad Ayung Bridge replacement project, precisely in the implementation of concrete girder installation. The data used are qualitative and quantitative data with primary data sources and secondary data. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, literature studies, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is HIRARC. The results showed that; 1) There are 24 types of work accident risks identified in the concrete girder installation work in the Tukad Ayung bridge replacement project in seven stages of work, namely, the concrete girder preparation stage, girder truss making, erection (segmental girder setting), prestressed steel installation (strand), strand cable stressing work, girder concrete tendon grouting, and diaphragm installation stage, 2) The results of risk analysis on concrete girder installation work on the project The replacement of the Tukad Ayung Bridge, is in the moderate category, which is as many as 12 risks with a percentage of 50%. Furthermore, as many as 11 risks are included in the high category with a percentage of 45.837%. Meanwhile, in the extreme category as much as one risk with a percentage of 4.17%, 3) Risk control efforts that can be carried out from the three levels of risk found, namely moderate, high, and extreme, namely by reducing risk through administrative control, engineering control, and warning system.

Penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja sebagai upaya pencegahan kecelakaan kerja di PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk tahun 2023

Occupational Safety and Health is one way to protect workers from work accidents and dangerous risks. K3 is carried out by the company based on applicable company laws and regulations. The implementation of Occupational Safety and Health at the Pasar IX Gas Station functions to protect workers from the risk of occupational hazards at the gas station. The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of occupational safety and health as an effort to prevent work accidents at PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk 2023. Descriptive research method with a qualitative approach which aims to analyze the implementation of occupational safety and health at the Pasar IX Gas Station – PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. Informants were taken using a purposive sampling technique, totaling 7 people, namely 1 HSSE person, 3 fire fighter team members, and 3 first aid team members. The selected informants are considered to be able to provide information regarding the implementation of occupational safety and health which includes K3 policies, K3 communications, K3 inspections and K3 evaluations. The research results show that the implementation of K3 at PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk has been running well and is in accordance with applicable regulations. The K3 policy is established and signed by the main director. K3 communication is carried out by HSSE to promote and inform workers to implement occupational safety and health. K3 inspections are carried out to check the condition of all equipment, work environment and worker actions. K3 evaluation is carried out by HSSE and the K3 Audit Institute to assess the extent of K3 implementation. As a research suggestion, the Pasar IX gas station operator collaborates with the Fire Department and hospitals in holding K3 training to increase awareness and knowledge of occupational safety and health among station workers.

Students Perceptions of The Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Work on Wood Working Practices

The lack of knowledge and how to use tools when practicing can cause work accidents that harm students and schools that make this research raised. Occupational safety and health are mandatory things at work, which is the main step before starting the activity, so that students can understand the meaning of occupational safety and health itself. The purpose of this study was to reveal students' perceptions of the application of occupational safety and health in Woodworking Practices in the Class XI DPIB Workshop of SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. A descriptive research model was used in a quantitative approach. The product was validated by two experts and 30 students who took Woodworking Practice subjects in the July–December 2023 semester. Based on the validation that has been carried out by material expert 1, the result is 80% with good criteria; material expert 2 obtained a result of 81% with good criteria. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that students' perceptions of the application of occupational safety and health in woodworking practices in workshops that use descriptive research with quantitative.

‘Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Ketenagakerjaan’ in the Perspective of Welfare State

The Social Security Agency for Employment as social protection insurance for all workers in Indonesia has five main products. Each BPJS employment product has benefits and advantages for its participants. This research method is qualitative, namely by describing and analyzing data that has been obtained through data collection techniques of interviews, and literature study which is then explained in the form of detailed and systematic explanations. The results of this research show that based on the country typology formulated by Titmus, following the benefits facilitation provided by BPJS employment. The first point is realized with death benefits, work accident benefits, and old age benefits which provide protection benefits to workers when they can´t carry out work when sick, providing compensation and scholarships to families who have lost their source of livelihood, and several other benefits.

Education on Occupational Health and Safety (K3) through K3 Audits as an Effort to Reduce Work Accidents at PT ABC

Occupational safety and health is something that is important in the work environment. This research is a form of campus community service to the industrial community. Activities are carried out using observational methods, namely observation, education and evaluation of the stages of activity implementation. The results of initial observations and K3 audits, based on data, there are still work accidents, for this reason it is necessary to educate about K3, education is carried out by making pocket books, where with this education there is an increase in knowledge and understanding of K3 which can be shown from the average pretest score of 50 and increased to 74.5.

Penerapan Manajemen Risiko Kecelakaan Kerja pada Proyek Penggantian Jembatan Tukad Ayung Denpasar, Bali

Management of occupational accident risk involves systematic, planned, structured, and comprehensive efforts to mitigate the factors that contribute to the occurrence of work accidents. This study aims to examine the risk of work accidents in the Tukad Ayung Bridge replacement project, especially at the stage of installing concrete girders. Qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary sources were used, collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, literature review, and documentation analysis. The Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method is used for data analysis. The findings revealed 24 types of work accident risks at seven stages of concrete block installation in the project including the concrete girder preparation stage, girder truss making, erection (setting segmental girder), prestressed steel installation (strand), cabel strand stressing work, concrete girder tendon grouting, and diaphragm installation stage. The results of the risk analysis on the concrete girder installation work on the Tukad Ayung Bridge replacement project, are in the moderate category, which is as many as 12 risks. Furthermore, as many as 11 risks are included in the high category. Meanwhile, in the extreme category as much as 1 risk.

FACTORS CAUSING WORK ACCIDENTS AT THE MEDAN CLASS A SEARCH AND RESPECT AGENCY OFFICE

Work accidents are unplanned events that cause injuries, pain, or damage that occur at work. Work accidents usually occur in workplaces that have high potential hazards. This study aims to determine the potential dangers that allow accidents, accidents that often occur, and the causes of accidents that often occur. Research Types and Design Using Qualitative Descriptive Methods With a Case Study Approach. In this study, the focus of the study contains the main subjects: unsafety action, age, use of PPE, K3 Knowledge, UNSAFE Conditions, and Ergonomics. From the results of the situation analysis that has been carried out and observations obtained at the Medan Class A Search and Relief Office, it is known that several factors cause work accidents. In the theory of three main factors (three main factors theory), 3 factors cause work accidents, namely human factors, environmental factors, and ergonomic factors.

Robotic Solutions for the Challenges of Human Labor: Managers Perspective

Managers have to endure some costs in order to develop human resources, which is one of the most significant providers of organizational performance. These costs are expenditures for human resources activities and customer dissatisfaction caused by work accidents and negative personnel behaviors. This study primarily aims to determine the expenditures made by the managers and the behavior of the employees that disturb the guests. Text mining methods is used to identify cost of human labor and employee behaviors referred to by managers' reviews, and association rules is used to find out common cost and behaviors in managers' reviews. The secondary aim of the study is to investigate the managers' intentions to employ robots to solve human-induced challenges. Contrary to the literature, managers believe that robots cannot contribute to the solution of these problems and they don’t think to work with service robots.

IDENTIFICATION OF K3 HAZARD RISK IN FIREFIGHTERS AT MEDAN CITY FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE

Firefighters are particularly vulnerable to several work-related illnesses and injuries, including toxic gas poisoning, burns, respiratory distress, and bodily injury. Therefore, an important first step in implementing successful prevention tactics is to identify possible K3 hazards precisely and accurately. To prevent industrial accidents that endanger workers due to hazards arising in the Medan City Fire and Rescue Department, the purpose of this study is to identify hazards and evaluate risks using the HIRA method analysis. The research was conducted using qualitative methodology. Three data collection methods were used: documentation, in-depth interviews, and observation. The informants in this study amounted to 4 people consisting of 2 key informants and 2 main informants. Based on the results of hazard identification and risk assessment, there are 19 accident risks spread across 5 activities in the Medan City Fire and Rescue Service. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that 10 potential hazards fall into the meaningful category, 4 potential hazards fall into the medium-risk category, 4 potential hazards fall into the low-risk category, and high-risk categories as many as 1 potential hazard. Based on these conclusions, suggestions were submitted to the Medan City Fire and Rescue Service to increase the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmets, heat-resistant shirts, and pants, and SCBA was an anticipation of the proposal submitted to the Medan City Fire and Rescue Service. Medan City Fire and Rescue Officers are also required to always comply with established work rules to reduce risks and avoid work accidents.

The Analysis Of Risk Assessment On Fiber Optic Production Line Using The Hazard Identification Risk Assessment And Determining Control (Hiradc)

ABSTRACT The demand for optical fiber increases to meet the demands of Industry 4.0, companies that manufacture optical fiber must seize this moment to generate profitable business. However, let us not forget how important safety is to all employees working in the fiberglass industry, especially production employees who are directly involved in the fiberglass production process. This study focusses on Risk assessment for patch cords cables production using HIRADC method. The activities of Patch Cord Cable production are divided into 6 steps are striping, curing, trimming, crimping, inspection, packing. Risk assessment in the patch cord production process activities to the packing process by conducting a HIRADC Analysis from determining hazards, potential incidents, to risk ratings. The results of this study obtained additional control for recommended to eliminate the potential for work accidents in the activity Striping, Curing Trimming, Crimping, and Inspection to increase productivity production Cable Fiber Optic (item product: Patch Cord) in PT. JK aligns with SDG 9 that industrialization development can be achieved by improving manufacturing productivity by reducing or eliminating the possibility of occupational accidents.
