This letter proposes a novel aggregated system frequency response (ASFR) model, which can fully capture the frequency characteristics of the voltage source converter-based high voltage direct current (VSCHVDC) interconnected power system with high penetration of wind power. First, a multi-machine SFR model is presented, considering the inertia and frequency control processes of VSCHVDC and wind turbines (WTs). Then, a novel aggregation approach is proposed to transform the multi-machine SFR model into a single-machine SFR model on the basis of different control modes of the VSCHVDCs and WTs. Finally, simulation studies are conducted to validate the performance of the proposed ASFR model and its application in frequency response analysis.
