Optimizing Educational Institutions: Web-Based Document Management

Documents, which consist of written or printed materials, play a crucial role in educational activities. Private schools in Tangerang still face challenges in efficiently storing, accessing, and managing educational documents. Manual document storage consumes a significant amount of time and physical space. Therefore, a technology-based solution is required to address this issue. This research aims to develop a web-based Document Management System (DMS) that allows teachers and school staff to easily manage, store, and access educational documents digitally. The software development method employed is the Waterfall model, involving a series of stages ranging from needs analysis to testing and implementation. The outcome is a web based DMS application accessible to teachers in the school. This application enables teachers to view, upload, edit, and download teaching materials effortlessly. Additionally, teachers can manage their teaching schedules and user access rights. The usability of DMS has been tested through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and users have provided positive feedback on the application. This web based DMS effectively addresses the issues related to document storage in schools, enhancing the efficient management of educational documents, reducing dependence on physical documents, and increasing productivity in the learning process. Consequently, this DMS holds great potential as a valuable tool in the educational context of the school.

Perancangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Biaya Proyek Menggunakan Metode Earned Value Management pada PT. Kaltacitra Utama Berbasis Web

The effectiveness of project cost management has become a primary concern in the construction industry. Traditional constraints in project cost monitoring necessitate a solution to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in management. This research aims to introduce a web-based project cost management information system that focuses on the application of the Earned Value Management (EVM) method. By employing a web-based system development approach using the Earned Value Management (EVM) method to accurately monitor project costs and performance. The utilization of web technology enables real-time access for stakeholders, facilitating more timely monitoring and evaluation. The implementation of this system has made a positive contribution to project cost management at PT. Kalta Citra Utama. Testing conducted demonstrates increased real-time transparency and accuracy in project cost information, providing better support for managerial decision-making. Implementing a web-based project cost management information system with the Earned Value Management (EVM) method at PT. Kalta Citra Utama will prove to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project cost management. This demonstrates significant potential in optimizing project management practices in the construction industry.

Enhancing data accuracy with design of a web-based citizen data management application for neighborhood/residential unit

Citizen data is critical in making appropriate decisions by neighborhoods/residential units (RT/RW) and sub-districts. Therefore, citizen data must have a high level of validity. In Tiban Lama Sub-district, Batam City, at the RT/RW level, citizen data management is still done manually, so problems often occur such as inaccurate data, delays in updating data, limited data access, difficulties in analysis, and difficulties in data coordination, decision-making errors in determining social assistance recipients, and obstacles in data management at Integrated Service Centers (Posyandu). To overcome this problem, a web-based citizen data management application is needed, where residents can upload the required data through the application by attaching supporting documents and the data will be verified by the RT/RW. This application can help villages and RT/RW manage citizen data and make the right decisions for their citizens. Based on the implementation of the activity, a positive response was obtained from the Head of Tiban Lama Village and the RT/RW level of Tiban Lama regarding the use of web-based applications.

ANALISIS INFORMASI DAN PENGEMBANGAN DALAM PENERAPAN APLIKASI CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT KLINIK SEBAGAI PENDUKUNG EDUKASI PENYAKIT TIDAK MENULAR

The rapid development of digital disruption has driven the healthcare sector to embrace technology as a vital tool in engaging patients as health consumers. In the pursuit of providing better services to patients, clinics now increasingly recognize the need for a system that can effectively connect clinics and patients with the ultimate goal of fostering loyalty in healthcare transactions. This research aims to implement a web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application system in clinics. In the design of this research, a descriptive approach is employed, with a focus on the analysis of the requirements necessary for the implementation of CRM application systems in clinics. The research subjects involve primary care clinics located in the city of Malang, serving as samples that represent diverse clinic contexts. The research instrument used is an interview guide, enabling in-depth data collection regarding user needs and expectations. The proposed implementation of the CRM application also involves an analysis of the extent to which users respond to and accept the application. The initial stage of the research involves information analysis to comprehend the various system requirements in different clinics. Subsequently, the development of systems in these clinics is a key step in enhancing the patient experience and interactions between clinics and patients. It is crucial to closely monitor user feedback on this application, how the application affects interactions between patients and clinics, and how user responses can be interpreted into improvements in a new information system that is more user-friendly. This research will provide valuable insights into how technology and application systems can serve as effective tools in enhancing healthcare services and interactions between clinics and patients.).

APLIKASI PENGELOLAAN DATA ALUMNI BERBASIS WEB PADA STMIK AKAKOM MENGGUNAKAN METODE WATERFALL

The Alumni and Akakom Career Center (ACC) of STMIK Akakom is tasked with managing alumni and career data of the alumni. The implementation of ACC activities in the tracer study was carried out on a computerized basis using google forms which would then be downloaded in the form of excell to produce reports. The purpose of this research is to develop a web-based STMIK AKAKOM alumni data management application with the waterfall method that can be used by the Alumni Section and Akakom Career Center to manage tracer study data. The scope of the research includes the management of alumni data collection as a means of evaluation and reporting to the leadership or as an accreditation instrument of PT. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation and interviews. There are 3 (three) entities involved in this system, namely the ACC, Management and Alumni Sections, each of whom has access rights to log into the system. Data processed in the system includes survey name data, alumni data, alumni survey question data and alumni answer data. The application system for tracer study generated is web-based with the waterfall method.

EFISIENSI SDM DENGAN CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT BERBASIS WEB DAN SMS GATEWAY

This study aims to develop an application for improving HR efficiency by applying the concept of web-based and SMS Gateway Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The study is used as a tool to help in providing information to the general public and patients, especially those with Tuberculosis in the Community Centre for Lung Health (BKPM) of Klaten Regency.
 The CRM system in BKPM Klaten is used to efficiently manage patients and all health information. This application will provide information including medical check-up timing and manage appointments with patients more effectively to improve medical staffs’ schedule efficiency. The patients’ notification method is using SMS Gateway (Short Message Service).
 This research implemented a survey and an interview to the agency and analyze the system that was running in BKPM Klaten as its research method. The development of this system uses both Data Flow Diagrams (DAD) and Relationship Between Tables methods.
 The application is expected to improve the efficiency of human resources management in BKPM Klaten in doing its job of providing information to the public, arranging required reports, and specifically for the patients, impacting on increasing the customers’ satisfaction and loyalty. This system can also make it easier for BKPM to interact directly with patients using an SMS gateway.

The UNITE database for molecular identification and taxonomic communication of fungi and other eukaryotes: sequences, taxaand classifications reconsidered.

UNITE (https://unite.ut.ee) is a web-based database and sequence management environment for molecular identification of eukaryotes. It targets the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region and offers nearly 10 million such sequences for reference. These are clustered into ∼2.4M species hypotheses (SHs), each assigned a unique digital object identifier (DOI) to promote unambiguous referencing across studies. UNITE users have contributed over 600000 third-party sequence annotations, which are shared with a range of databases and other community resources. Recent improvements facilitate the detection of cross-kingdom biological associations and the integration of undescribed groups of organisms into everyday biological pursuits. Serving as a digital twin for eukaryotic biodiversity and communities worldwide, the latest release of UNITE offers improved avenues for biodiversity discovery, precise taxonomic communicationand integration of biological knowledge across platforms.

Variable selection for individualised treatment rules with discrete outcomes.

An individualised treatment rule (ITR) is a decision rule that aims to improve individuals' health outcomes by recommending treatments according to subject-specific information. In observational studies, collected data may contain many variables that are irrelevant to treatment decisions. Including all variables in an ITR could yield low efficiency and a complicated treatment rule that is difficult to implement. Thus, selecting variables to improve the treatment rule is crucial. We propose a doubly robust variable selection method for ITRs, and show that it compares favourably with competing approaches. We illustrate the proposed method on data from an adaptive, web-based stress management tool.

Streamlining Attendance Management in Education: A Web-Based System Combining Facial Recognition and QR Code Technology

Attendance tracking has long posed challenges in educational institutions due to the inefficiency and error-prone nature of traditional paper-based methods. In response, many institutions have embraced web technologies and automated attendance systems, incorporating biometrics, QR codes, barcodes, and RFID-based technologies. However, the applicability of these systems may vary across different educational settings. This paper introduces a web-based student attendance management system that combines facial recognition technology and QR codes to address the challenges associated with manual attendance tracking in a university college. The system leverages a centralized database for streamlined monitoring and auditing of attendance records, offering the flexibility to choose between face recognition and QR code attendance marking options. User acceptance tests were conducted to evaluate the system's effectiveness, and the results indicate that the proposed system greatly improves attendance tracking transparency and demonstrates high usability based on positive user ratings. Additionally, the preference for face recognition over QR code scanning was evident. Incorporating these technologies into the automated attendance system represents a substantial advancement in educational technology, offering an accurate and efficient way of recording attendance.

Development Of Chair Module In Web-Based Conference Management System

Conferences are an important platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share knowledge and the latest research results. Efficient conference management is crucial in ensuring the success of such events. In this context, a Conference Management System (CMS) has emerged as a solution that facilitates various aspects of conference management. This research discusses the development of a Chair module in a web-based Conference Management System. The purpose of this research is to improve the efficiency and functionality of the Chair module so that it can better manage various aspects of the conference. Because in the existing application there are shortcomings in digital integration between organizers and information management that has not been centralized in one conference. The results showed that the development of the Chair module has worked as expected in the planning stage. The interaction between the Chair and conference participants, reviewers, and paper authors became more coordinated and integrated. The responsiveness of the web-based interface provides better accessibility, allowing the Chair to access information and make decisions in real-time.

Developing Web-Based Process Management with Automatic Code Generation

Automated code generation and process flow management are central to web-based application development today. This database-centric approach targets the form and process management challenges faced by corporate companies. It minimizes the time losses caused by managing hundreds of forms and processes, especially in large companies. Shortening development times, optimizing user interaction, and simplifying the code are critical advantages offered by this methodology. These low-code systems accelerate development, allowing organizations to adapt to the market quickly. This approach simplifies the development process with drag-and-drop features and enables developers to produce more effective solutions with less code. Automatic code generation with flow diagrams allows one to manage inter-page interactions and processes more intuitively. The interactive Process Design Editor developed in this study makes code generation more user-friendly and accessible. The case study results show that a 98.68% improvement in development processes, a 95.84% improvement in test conditions, and a 36.01% improvement in code size were achieved with this system. In conclusion, automated code generation and process flow management represent a significant evolution in web application development processes. This methodology both shortens development times and improves code quality. In the future, the demand for these technologies is expected to increase even more.

Warehouse Management System Design at PT XYZ

The warehouse is one of the most important parts of a company. Ineffective warehousing processes can disrupt warehouse operations. Recording warehouse transactions that are done manually will require checking one by one on the hardcopy form that has been stored. Therefore, this internship program aims to improve the performance of warehousing operations at PT XYZ. The method used in the analysis is data collection and application system design using the prototype method. The data is taken based on the results of interviews and observations in the warehouse. This activity creates a web-based warehouse management system application to help control incoming and outgoing inventory. The system built makes it easy for administrators to see the number of items made for each event. The results of black box testing show that the application has 100% functionality. The test results illustrate that the application functions properly according to user needs and has been accepted by PT XYZ

RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN KARYAWAN

The employee management information system at Nazra Swim School (NSS) was created with the aim of improving the performance and service of employees at Nazra Swim School (NSS). Nazra Swim School has a lot of data, one of which is employee data that needs to be stored and processed. Employee data processing is currently still done manually. To facilitate the processing of employee data, an information system is needed to process employee data so that the resulting information is more accurate, efficient and precise. This employee management information system is done using the waterfall method. This information system design includes document flowcharts, system flowcharts, data flow diagrams, context diagrams, database design, conceptual data model (CDM), physical data model (PDM) and user interface design. The employee management information system is designed using the programming language PHP, Notepad++ and MySQL database. implementation of a web-based employee management information system can help administration and employees in managing employee data automatically.

Web-based Inventory Management System

It primarily supports the business owner of the said business enterprise to perform regular inventory management online through a web platform. This mechanism did not only improve the overall business process but also enabled the business owner to manage inventories with efficiency and convenience. The enterprise comprises four branches and a mobile store that strolls around the city to cater to customer needs. In addition, the current mechanism of conducting inventory management is purely manual through the use of paper files, which overwhelmed the business owner with several challenges, including data inaccuracy due to the reliance on using papers where data are recorded and process inefficiency due to the manual recording and distribution of inventory and sales reports. This software project addressed these challenges by eliminating these manual approaches through an automated computing solution using a web platform where data are electronically recorded and processed, and reports are electronically produced.

Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Patient Experience and Diabetes Self-Management Among Nonpregnant Women of Childbearing Age With Diabetes in the United States: A Scoping Review, 1990 to 2020

ObjectiveThis scoping review aimed to identify any empirical literature describing racial and ethnic disparities in patient experience and diabetes self-management among nonpregnant women (aged 18–49 years) of childbearing age with diabetes in the United States. MethodsThis scoping review followed the Arksey and O'Malley methodological framework. We used a comprehensive search strategy to identify articles published from 1990 to 2021 in PubMed, CINAHL, EMBASE, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, and Proquest Digital Dissertation and Theses. Two independent reviewers used Covidence, a web-based review management software, to screen articles by title and abstract, and then by full-text articles based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. A third reviewer arbitrated any disagreements. ResultsOf the original 6,115 peer-reviewed studies identified, eight fit the eligibility criteria. In research on nonpregnant women of childbearing age in the United States, four studies investigated racial and ethnic disparities in patient experience, and seven of the eight eligible studies investigated racial and ethnic disparities in diabetes self-management outcomes. No eligible studies examining racial and ethnic variations in the association between patient experience and diabetes self-management were found. ConclusionsThis scoping review identified limited available studies examining racial and ethnic disparities in patient experience and diabetes self-management among nonpregnant women of childbearing age in the United States. Future studies should examine these relationships to fill the gap in research. These findings are relevant as the prevalence of diabetes is increasing worldwide and racially/ethnically minoritized women are disproportionately affected.

Knowledge Management Evaluation Using Digital Capability Maturity Model in Higher Education Institution

In the higher education institutions, they recognize the value of knowledge management (KM) in enhancing organizational performance and productivity. However, the current KM system faces challenges in adapting to modern issues and suffers from inefficient utilization. This paper aims to address these shortcomings by identifying the maturity level of KM using a digital capability maturity model (DCMM). To achieve this objective, data were collected through interviews, questionnaire surveys, and observations, and a descriptive data analysis method was employed. The study utilized the model's eight Business Transformation Management (BTM) disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding and holistic analysis of digital transformation. The research findings revealed a defined maturity level (Level 3) of Effective Knowledge Worker Digital Capability. This suggests the need for strategic improvements to propel the institution towards a higher level of digital readiness. To elevate the KM maturity level, the paper recommends the development of a web-based Knowledge Management System (KMS) as a pilot project within the IT Operational department, before its potential company-wide implementation. The proposed KMS includes eight essential features, including document management, lessons learned, project management, announcements, schedules, FAQ page, and forum. This web based KMS promises to enhance knowledge sharing, collaboration, and accessibility. Beyond the specific institution studied, the research offers valuable insights for other organizations seeking to evaluate and improve their KM performance. By adopting the digital capability maturity model and considering the suggested features in the KMS, institutions can drive innovation and better adapt to the evolving landscape of knowledge management. Ultimately, this research contributes to the advancement of knowledge management theory and practice in higher education institutions, offering strategies to boost organizational agility and knowledge utilization. The findings can guide decision-makers in enhancing their KM strategies, ultimately leading to improved organizational outcomes and increased competitiveness in today's dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

Millennium Shop Information System

Toko Millennium Shop is a shop that runs a business in the electronics sector which is domiciled in Solo, Central Java. Currently the Millennium Shop wants to improve service and work efficiency in terms of time and energy. This is done because as the shop develops, the current business processes cause problems such as a lack of work efficiency in terms of time and energy. This happens because of poor management and archiving of sales transaction data, goods management. On the other hand, poor sales data archiving creates problems with financial records, sometimes there are some sales that are not recorded, so it is not known exactly how much income and expenses each month are from the existing archives. Therefore, to improve the services available in the store and in an effort to solve existing problems, a web-based electronic store management information system was created by applying the MVC (Model-View-Controller) design pattern with the main feature being to facilitate the sales transaction process, management goods, recording sales and financial transactions. The system development process uses the waterfall development model. The implementation of the system was developed using the Laravel framework with the PHP programming language. The system developed has been tested using unit, integration, validation and compatibility testing strategies to produce values with valid status.

Breakthrough infection among healthcare personnel following exposure to COVID-19: Experience after one year of the world’s largest vaccination drive

ABSTRACT Context: The COVID-19 vaccination drive globally was supposedly a game-changing event. However, the emerging variants of the virus and waning immunity over time posed new challenges for breakthrough infections. Standing at the frontline of defense against COVID-19, healthcare personnel (HCP) were vulnerable to such infections. Aims: This study estimates i) the vaccine breakthrough infections (VBI) among HCP following exposure to COVID-19 cases, and ii) the mean interval between the second dose of vaccine and laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted including 385 HCP with a history of exposure to COVID-19 cases during January and February 2022. Demographic details and clinical and vaccination history were collected from the test forms and the Web-based hospital management system. Laboratory testing of COVID-19 was carried out by real-time RT-PCR test. Results: The majority of the HCP were males (262; 68.05%) and nurses (180; 46.75%) by occupation. Two doses of vaccines were received by 278 (87.7%) HCP. VBI was confirmed in 185 (66.55%) HCP. No significant difference in VBI between the COVAXIN and COVISHIELD recipients (P = 0.69) was observed. The interval between the second dose and confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection was significantly higher (P < 0.00001) in COVAXIN recipients (median 228 days) than in COVISHIELD recipients (median 95 days). Conclusions: The incidence of VBI was very high among the HCP, but not statistically different among the COVAXIN and COVISHIELD-recipients. Waning immunity over time suggests boosting immunity with a third dose because of emerging variants.

Web-based learning management system as media in teaching ESP for mathematics students in higher education

This study examines the techniques used by ESP Math lecturers, the challenges they have in providing ESP learning materials, how they overcome these challenges, and the implications for ESP design. This study employed a qualitative research design by interviewing five ESP Mathematics lecturers teaching at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo in the 2022-2023 academic year. 15 items of interview guidelines were prepared to gain a deeper understanding of what respondents have done in implementing the techniques of teaching ESP for Mathematics. The data were then examined using an interactive analysis process. The survey found that several of the lecturers had issues with vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and speaking fluency. The instructors overcame the obstacles by working together with other instructors and studying from printed and digital resources to better their command of the English language. Additionally, they utilized a web-based learning management system to aid in their education and facilitate the creation of instructional materials. It meant that the development of ESP for math educators had to concentrate on four areas: vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and fluency. The ESP curriculum might be developed using any number of platforms, including ones that cater to linguistics and mathematics.

Container Infrastructure on Laravel to Improve Online Shop

A laundry business is a business that operates laundry services or similar and is often used by the general public. The development of this business is quite fast, as many consider renting laundry to be more convenient. This rapid increase is inversely proportional to the evolution of companies in using technology as a means of digitizing their businesses. The digitization process can make it easier for business owners to manage, monitor, promote, and receive business reviews. One attempt to overcome this is to develop a web-based laundry management and publishing application using the Laravel framework and container infrastructure, with the aim of making business management and advertising easier for laundry entrepreneurs and customers to choose from to facilitate washing area. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of literature reviews, questionnaires and uses technologies to facilitate the development process such as the Laravel framework, MySQL, Google Maps API, and container and waterfall infrastructure as application development methods. The test technique used is black box. The result of the research is a web-based laundry application that conforms to the eight golden rules, has been tested by laundry owners and customers, and can achieve the research goals.
