Waterpipe tobacco smoking, commonly known as hookah or shisha, has witnessed a surge in popularity globally, particularly among young adults. However, this activity is associated with several issues related to health. This comprehensive narrative review aims to provide a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and public health professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of waterpipe tobacco smoking and implement evidence-based strategies to address its challenges. The present article focuses on an in-depth analysis of the health risks associated with waterpipe tobacco smoking.
