Introduction: The community understands the importance of education to improve the quality of human resources, which will improve socio-economic life. Education is often seen as a preparation for a better life in the future. Because of this, many parents do not hesitate to sacrifice greatly for their children’s education. Children who have finished school are expected to be able to do work as a livelihood or at least have an adequate basis for earning a living. The higher the education, the greater the hope of getting a good job. Methods: This type of research was a case study, an in-depth investigation of an individual, group, or institution. This The conclusion only applies to the subject where the research was conducted, namely students of State Vocational School class 12 in the field of Computer Network Engineering expertise in East Jawa, Indonesia. The population of this research was all namely students of State Vocational School class 12 in the field of Computer Network Engineering expertise, the population is 350, specifically students who have moved (transferred) to school in East Java in 2022 The research respondents were 187 students chosen using purposive sampling by several considerations, refers to Slovin's theory, The Slovin formula is a formula used to determine the minimum sample from a limited population. This formula is used when researchers do not know the ideal population proportion to take as a sample. Results: The results of this study were not in line with the initial assumption of this study that there was an influence on the level of parents’ work on students’ interest in continuing their studies to higher education. The type of parents’ work was closely related to childcare patterns. The type of work that parents influenced the development of their children. The discrepancy between the results of this study and the previous assumption was due to the results of the description of the data about the types of parents’ work indicating that most of it was not as teachers. Therefore, The determinant of high or low factors that influenced students to continue their studies in higher education used PAP II. Based on the criteria above, the categories of the variable tendency of vocational students’ interest to continue their studies to higher education were as follows: The limits for determining the high and low-interest factors of vocational students in continuing their studies to higher education using PAP II. Practical significance: The Provincial Education Office is also expected to care about students’ achievements by providing scholarships so that students with good achievements and a high interest in continuing their studies at higher education can continue their studies at the higher education level.
