A Study on the Path of Improving the Quality of Mathematics Classroom Teaching in Vocational Universities

This study aims to explore the path of improving the quality of mathematics education in vocational colleges in order to meet the growing demand for high-quality applied talents in society and industry. It analyses the need to improve the quality of mathematics education and points out that mathematics education should not only focus on imparting theoretical knowledge, but also enhance students' practical application skills. To this end, six main paths were proposed, including clear career-oriented teaching objectives, innovative practice-oriented teaching models, flexible adaptation of course content, use of modern educational technology, diversified evaluation mechanisms and teacher training. Finally, it is recommended that vocational universities strengthen teacher training, increase investment in teaching resources, and deepen cooperation between schools and enterprises during the reform process, so as to ensure that mathematics education keeps pace with the needs of the economy, thereby cultivating applied talents with both a solid mathematical foundation and good professional qualities.

Research on Vocational Education Reform and Innovation Based on Information Technology Practice

Based on the perspective of information technology reform, higher requirements have been put forward for student management and course teaching in vocational colleges. Therefore, teachers should actively explore suitable opportunities and practical paths to introduce information technology and rely on advanced technology, equipment, and software to promote the reform and development of virtualization, datafication, and intelligence in course teaching. Due to the limitations and influences of various practical factors, teachers face many problems in the application of information technology, which to some extent hinder classroom teaching reform and innovation. Given this, this article discusses the application of information technology, which plays an important role in classroom teaching reform and student ability improvement. This study will briefly explain the concept and characteristics of information technology, analyze the existing problems in current information technology teaching, and finally propose specific reform and innovation practice paths.

The Relationship Between Distributive Leadership andOrganizational Change Management Strategies

This study explores the relationship between distributive leadership and change management strategies in Malaysian vocational colleges. Distributive leadership is vital for implementing Malaysia's Education Development Plan 2013-2025, particularly in enhancing leadership effectiveness. Effective organizational transformation depends on leaders' styles and abilities to manage changes efficiently and continuously. This research examines the extent of distributive leadership practices among vocational college leaders in Malaysia and explores variations based on demographic characteristics. Conducted with a sample of 254 vocational college teachers across nine states, data were collected through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The questionnaire comprised two sections: Perceptions of Distributive Leadership Practices and Change Management Strategies. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS Version 26.0. Findings indicate that respondents generally agree with the principles of distributive leadership, including bounded empowerment, leadership development, shared decision-making, and collective engagement. Additionally, a positive relationship was found between distributive leadership and change management strategies. To optimize change management, leaders should engage managers, employees, and senior leaders.

Construction of an Evaluation Index System for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Vocational Colleges from Students’ Perspective

Innovation and entrepreneurship education is an essential content in the current teaching of colleges and universities and an important driving force to promote students’ employment. Currently, colleges and universities continue to strengthen the innovation of innovation and entrepreneurship teaching, and the construction of the evaluation system of innovation and entrepreneurship education is lagging. The evaluation system is an important evaluation standard for innovation and entrepreneurship teaching and the basis for educational innovation, which is also a critical part of teaching that requires attention. This paper takes the construction of the evaluation index system of innovation and entrepreneurship education in vocational colleges as the research goal and understands the function of innovation and entrepreneurship evaluation as well as the evaluation principle through the literature analysis method. It also analyzes the evaluation index system of innovation and entrepreneurship teaching from students’ perspective to provide an effective reference for the implementation of innovation and entrepreneurship education in higher vocational colleges.

Role Transformation of Teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges under Artificial Intelligence Assisted Art Creation: A Qualitative Study of Art Design Teachers

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has made remarkable progress in image processing, speech synthesis, intelligent creation, etc., and has shown great potential for application in artistic creation. In the teaching scenario of higher vocational colleges, teachers not only bear the responsibility of cultivating students' hands-on ability and creative thinking but also need to constantly adapt to the teaching changes brought about by technological advances. With their strong digital intuition, creative thinking and flexible adaptability, young art design teachers can make better use of AI technology to assist artistic creation, improve teaching quality, and enrich students' creative learning experience. Traditional art education usually relies on teachers to impart knowledge, guide practice, and evaluate works in the classroom; however, the widespread application of AI technologies has brought about a revolutionary transformation in art education, and new educational resources such as generative design tools and online assisted design platforms are gradually changing the traditional teaching mode and the role of teachers. Using self-efficacy theory and social cognitive career and motivation theory as a framework, this study investigated twelve in-service young art design teachers through 1) semi-structured interviews; 2) focus group discussions, and 3) member-checking interviews. The researcher analysed the data using a general inductive approach to capture the following core themes: 1) new role orientation; 2) continuing professional development and 3) support from society and educational institutions. Institutional support. The results of the study help to deeply understand the relationship between AI and art education in higher vocational colleges, clarify the self-worth positioning of young art design teachers in the new era, and provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the transformation of teachers' roles and the professional development of art education.

A Practical Study on Lingnan Culture’s Integration into Higher Vocational English Teaching

Taking excellent cultural inheritance as the starting point, further strengthening the design of English teaching in higher vocational colleges is the key to promoting the development of English teaching and cultivating students’ comprehensive quality. Under the background of the new era, English teachers in higher vocational colleges combine the regional characteristics of Lingnan culture with the integration of regional culture and curriculum teaching, which can further strengthen students’ language ability and application ability, and is also conducive to the inheritance and development of Lingnan culture. This paper studies the practice of integrating Lingnan culture into English teaching in higher vocational colleges and puts forward corresponding views.

Development of Public English Teachers in Chinese Vocational Colleges via the Mechanism of “One Body, Two Wings and Three Parties Collaborations”

A good public English teaching faculty is an essential requirement for the development of high-quality vocational education and is urgently needed to achieve the objectives outlined by the “New Curriculum Standards” in Chinese colleges. The current challenges faced by the construction of the public English teaching faculty in the colleges include improper professional development orientation, unreasonable teacher structure ratios, imbalanced teacher ability development, indistinctive faculty characteristics, and inadequate fulfillment of moral cultivation objective. To address these issues, this study based on the questionnaire survey and cases collected mainly from higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi’s province explores repositioning the new professional role of public English teachers under the “New Curriculum Standards” by implementing the working mechanism: “one body (public English teachers), two wings (recruiting & training public English talents), and three parties (government, schools and enterprises) collaboration.” It aims to comprehensively enhance the integrated qualities of “professional knowledge + foreign language skills + cultural literacy” among teachers, thus improving the moral and intellectual nurturing capacity of public English courses in higher vocational education.

Job Satisfaction and Career Happiness of Physical Education Teachers in Vocational Colleges in Sichuan Province, China

This dissertation explores the job satisfaction and career happiness of physical education teachers in vocational colleges within Sichuan Province, China. It investigates various factors contributing to job satisfaction, including work environment, wage compensation, benefits, fairness, and promotion criteria, as well as the challenges teachers face regarding workload and career progression. The research provided insights into how physical education teachers’ job satisfaction and career happiness can be enhanced, with a focus on how improving teacher management programs could foster better working conditions. This, in turn, could lead to increased teacher retention and improved educational outcomes for students. Based on the research findings, the institution offers a low financial benefits and are not able to pay the teachers a salary that meets the responsibilities they have. Generally, the teachers feel that their current job position does not align with their skill set, the promotion system in the school is not transparent, and does not reflect the proper performances and merit of the employees. Differences in demographic profiles has proved to not affect the extent of satisfaction of the physical education teachers as all teachers feel the same way towards their department’s work environment, fairness and promotion, workload, autonomy and decision-making, and job satisfaction. However, when it comes to wage, compensation and benefits, the teachers who earn more tend to be more satisfied with the wages and compensation more than the teachers who earn lesser than them. Moreover, the evaluation of the career happiness of the physical education teachers is at a high level, which suggests that the teachers are generally happy with their level of personal growth opportunities, work relationships, and attitude towards work. Hence, it could be inferred that respondents profile did not play crucial role in assessing satisfaction and career happiness but it could facilitate in social interactions that could be enriched by a supportive climate for collective sharing and foster a culture of attaining satisfaction and career fulfilment.

Research ON ICVE-based Blended Learning in Vocational College Business Teaching

Background and Aims: In the context of the digital era, the traditional single teaching method can no longer meet the needs of modern teaching. Therefore, this paper adopts the SPOC teaching mode to study the impact of the mode on students' academic performance and to understand students' perception of its use by carrying out the ICVE blended teaching research. It helps improve the teaching strategies and methods of this mode and the quality of talent cultivation. Research Methodology: A quasi-experimental design was used to compare students' problem-solving abilities, specific knowledge, and specific skills to assess the impact on students' academic performance, and an open-ended questionnaire was used to investigate students' perceptions and experiences. Results: Conducting ICVE blended instruction resulted in a significant improvement in students' academic performance. At the same time, the model produced better learning experiences and positive impacts. Conclusion: Carrying out ICVE blended teaching effectively improves the learning effect. In the actual teaching, based on the characteristics of business teaching in vocational colleges, the improvement and optimization of teaching methods are carried out, which provides a strong basis and reference for colleges and universities to implement this teaching mode better.

Through various methods such as empirical research and case analysis, it comprehensively and thoroughly analyzes the many challenges encountered by AIGC in its application, and proposes corresponding countermeasures. The aim is to provide solid theoretical support and effective practical guidance for innovation and entrepreneurship teaching in vocational colleges, in order to effectively promote the good development of students' innovative thinking, significantly enhance their entrepreneurial ability, greatly improve teaching quality and effect, and assist vocational colleges in cultivating more outstanding talents with innovative spirit and entrepreneurial ability.

Analysis of The Professional Development Program of General Foundation Course Teachers In Higher Vocational Colleges in China:Basis for The Teacher Professional Development Framework

Higher vocational education in China plays a vital role in national economic development by preparing a skilled workforce. General Foundation Courses (GFC) are crucial in this system, providing essential skills in mathematics, language, and basic sciences, yet they often receive less attention and fewer resources compared to specialized courses. This disparity leads to outdated teaching methods and insufficient professional development for GFC teachers. Professional Development Programs (PDPs) aim to address these issues, but their effectiveness needs thorough evaluation. This study assesses the current state of PDPs for GFC teachers in China's higher vocational colleges, identifying challenges and proposing a comprehensive framework for improvement. Using qualitative research methods, including semi-structured interviews with 12 GFC teachers and document analysis, the study highlights the importance of institutional support, relevance of training programs, and continuous professional development. Findings suggest that increased resources, customized PDPs, and ongoing professional growth opportunities are crucial for enhancing teaching practices and student outcomes. The study's implications underscore the need for policymakers and educational administrators to prioritize resource allocation, design tailored PDPs, and promote continuous learning to improve the quality of vocational education and contribute valuable insights to the literature on teacher professional development.

RESEARCH ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDY TRAVEL INSTRUCTORS IN CHINESE HIGHER VOCATIONAL COLLEGES

<p>As key members of study travel teams, the competency levels of study travel instructors directly impact the quality of study travels. This study conducted semi-structured interviews with five higher vocational college teachers specializing in study travels and five employees from study travel companies to explore the current state and future pathways for cultivating study travel instructors in Chinese higher vocational colleges. The findings reveal that while higher vocational college-trained study travel instructors have a high level of professional recognition, their competency alignment is relatively low. There are several issues identified, such as the lack of practical experience, insufficient professional knowledge, inadequate creativity, and a weak sense of responsibility. Innovative Approaches to Ideological and Political Education in Vocational Colleges in the Context of the New Media Era

New media technology holds significant value for the development and implementation of ideological and political education in vocational colleges. It facilitates the expansion of educational content and forms, enhances the timeliness and attractiveness of education, and promotes the sharing and optimization of educational resources. However, in the context of the new media era, ideological and political education in vocational colleges faces numerous challenges. These challenges are manifested in the value conflicts brought about by the diversification of information for students, the urgent need to transform traditional education models, and the difficulty of the teaching staff in adapting to the demands of the new media era. In response to these issues, this paper proposes innovative strategies from four aspects: innovation in educational resources, innovation in educational methods, innovation in educational mechanisms, and innovation in the teaching staff. The aim is to improve the quality of ideological and political education in vocational colleges and better promote the overall development of students.

ANALYSIS EXPLORING THE INFLUENCE OF TEACHER-PERCEIVED SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP AND ENHANCEMENT STRATEGIES ON CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHERS IN CHINESE VOCATIONAL COLLEGES: A GROUNDED THEORY APPROACH

The purpose of this study, which is set against the backdrop of teachers' perceived sustainable leadership, is to investigate the key factors that determine the professional development and potential improvement strategies of Chinese vocational college teachers. ten vocational college teachers in Shandong Province, China, were selected for semi-structured interviews using a purposive sampling method, and the interview texts were coded and analysed using the grounded theory. The findings indicated that the continuous professional development of vocational college teachers is significantly influenced by multiple factors, which include teachers’ perception of their professional development, schools’ policies and systems, the fairness of allocating resources and the organisation’s cultural environment. As a result, the professional growth and autonomy of vocational college teachers can be substantially enhanced by establishing a robust institutional guarantee system, fostering a supportive and inclusive organisational culture, and advocating for the implementation of personalised development plans.<p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/soc/0110/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

Teaching Experiment in Engineering Mechanics Based on Simulation Technology: A Case Study

This paper explores the integration of simulation technology in Engineering Mechanics (EM) teaching in vocational colleges. A case study was conducted using the tensile test as an example, and digital resources, such as colored Mises stress nephograms, were obtained. These resources were integrated into the original curriculum to conduct teaching experiments. The results show that the use of digital resources significantly improved the quality of teaching in EM. The integration of simulation technology in EM teaching provides a promising direction for the improvement of vocational education and the cultivation of high-quality skilled talents. The development and application of more simulation-based teaching cases should be studied by scholars.
