The Performance of Italia Chamber Vocal Music

This Article aimed to study this paper aims to analyze the impact of professional skills involved in singing on performers by studying the environment, conditions, and historical development when performing Italian chamber vocal music works, clarifying the skills and knowledge that performers need to master. This study will delve into the diversity of Italian chamber vocal music works and extract their unique values and characteristics. Through a mixed research method combining qualitative and quantitative research, this study helps researchers better understand the characteristics and musical value of Italian chamber vocal music and provides methodological guidance for other researchers. The sample was two parts: one part consists of 110 teachers and students specializing in chamber vocal music at Italian music and other part is 200 amateurs with a strong interest in Italian chamber vocal music in society academies. They was selected by learn the art of Italian chamber vocal music performance through educational activities. The instrument for collecting data was by questionnaire Format. Analysis data by Descriptive statistics and Content Analysis. The research results were found as follows: 1.The Italian chamber vocal music has grown over time, with evolving techniques, styles, and cultural traits enriching its legacy. 2.In the 21st century, globalization and technological advances easy to promote Italian chamber vocal music. New media technologies offer opportunities for its dissemination. 3.The talent pool for Italian chamber vocal music is aging and shrinking. As a specialized art form with a limited audience, it's challenging to attract new talent. Therefore, nurturing new vocal talents is crucial.

A Self-Leadership Model to Enhance Vocal Music Students’ Self-Efficacy at University in Hunan Province, China

Background and Aims: Vocal music performance is the expression of talent and ability through public exhibition and focuses on the human voice as the major component. It requires training and development of self-efficacy to achieve the best results. Self-leadership and self-efficacy are related concepts that both play important roles in personal and professional development. Self-leadership can enhance self-efficacy in vocal music students by assisting in the setting of goals and maintaining motivation to overcome obstacles. This study aimed to develop a model of self-leadership to enhance the self-efficacy of vocal music students. Material and Methods: The research design was a sequential exploratory mixed-methods design that combined both qualitative and quantitative methods to develop an instrument that was used to collect data from the target population. The population for this study was vocal music students from four universities in Hunan. The sample size was 1,009 students. Results: Findings showed that the students’ levels of self-leadership and self-efficacy were overall, at a low level. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to find the significant self-leadership strategies. Predictor variables of self-efficacy were successful foresight (r=.31, p<.001), self-goal setting (r=.24, p<.001), belief hypothesis evaluation (r=.25, p<.001), self-punishment (r=.27, p<.001), self-observation (r=.24, p<.001), and natural reward (r=.23, p<.001). A theoretical model was developed from the findings and validated by experts. Conclusions: Increasing self-leadership in vocal music students can help them to take charge of their musical development and help them to become more confident, motivated, and independent.

He also refers to the "Blue Sea of love" style from a technical point of view and the emotional expression of his singing ability. From the perspective of theory and practice, the singer’s singing style fully reflects the artistic value of the song.

A brief analysis of emotional expression in vocal music performance

In vocal music performance, the singer put emotion that echoes the theme into singing which can be said the finishing touch in vocal music performance .However, they usually only pay attention to the training of vocal methods and vocal skills in learning of vocal music, and do not fully aware that the ultimate expression of music is the artistic expression triggered by their own musical sense and inner emotion, so it can move the audience and let the audience form emotional resonance in the performance. Based on this, this article takes "Motherland, Kindly Mother" as an example to explore the emotional expression in vocal singing and discusses the methods of emotional expression in singing from the two aspects of lyrics and melody in the end, hopefully that will help us to understand the connotation of "Motherland, Kindly Mother", the use of singing skills, emotional expression better.

Evaluation Method and Implementation of Vocal Music Teaching Performance under a Wireless Communication Environment

With the development of society, modern educational technology and electronic information technology are more and more closely combined. Auxiliary teaching products based on computer technology, multimedia technology, and network technology emerge one after another. How to combine modern wireless communication technology with modern educational technology to evaluate the teaching effect has become one of the hot topics in the field of modern teaching research. In view of the lack of communication between teachers and students and evaluation methods of the teaching effect in traditional vocal music teaching, this paper designs a method of evaluation of vocal music teaching effect in a wireless communication environment. First, this paper designs a feedback system of vocal music teaching based on wireless communication. Second, due to the influence of vocal music teaching effect, the factors are diverse, and the neural network has the advantages in processing the data with nonlinear strong robustness and dynamic characteristics. And we use BP (back propagation) neural network as a mathematical model to receive teaching feedback information. Then, the simulation results show that the proposed method can not only evaluate the effect of vocal music teaching but also has good feasibility and practicability. Finally, the method proposed in this paper can help improve the teaching level and efficiency of the school and has a great theoretical value and practical potential.

A Research on Kuo Chih-Yuan’s Ancient Poetry and Art Song “Liangzhou Ci”

Kuo Chih-Yuan was a famous composer in China Taiwan. He was the pioneer of modern music in China Taiwan and was highly recognized in the music industry. His had written a number of art songs, Hokkien songs, children’s songs, and folk songs adapted with vocal works, as well as instrumental works, including piano music, embodying them with strong local characteristics of orchestral suites, operas, musicals, and choral. From the perspective of “Liangzhou Ci,” a creative ancient poetry and art song, this paper expounds Kuo Chih-Yuan’s creative rules and aesthetic principles by sorting out and collecting relevant materials, analyzing the tonality of his works, and making a comparative study of the changes in intervals, rhythm, and musical structure. This paper further refines the characteristics of ancient poetry and art songs in terms of singing, as well as the humanistic characteristics and historical implications that need to be highlighted when interpreting ancient poetry and art songs, in hope to provide useful reference for vocal music teaching and performance.

Adding to the Narrative: Intersectional Feminist Critical Curatorial Practices in Classical Vocal Music Performance

Diversity and inclusion within Western art music have become topics of elevated importance in in recent discussions. To create enduring results regarding these matters, there needs to be a commitment to in-depth study of practices that will produce visible change. This is one of the goals of my research, in which I tackle issues of representation by focusing on Black women composers and their absence from the canon as overlooked and marginalized artists. It is well known that women have been denied many opportunities throughout history; as composers, many experiences crucial to professionalism were not always available to women, including music education in composition, the publication and circulation of their works, not being hired as conductors, or receiving reviews from influential critics. These opportunities and resources dwindled further if a woman was also a person of colour. Thus, in order to ensure their inclusion within the canon, these underrepresented identities demand and require unique recognition. I have examined the issue of neglected women of colour composers in classical music from an interdisciplinary standpoint, utilizing the methodologies of history and experimentation to form an “intersectional feminist critical curation” framework. This framework implements knowledge from intersectional feminist theory and music curation practices in order to answer following questions: “What is the impact on new audiences of diverse backgrounds experiencing classical music through an intersectional feminist curatorial framework?”, "Can classical music be an effective device for messages of social and political change?", and “What is the impact on myself as a classical vocalist and a Black woman to implement an intersectional feminist curatorial framework within my musical study and performance?”. The overall goal of this research was to discover an effective way forward to achieving diversity in classical music for underrepresented groups. Drawing from this study, I have created a digital performance project entitled “The Narrativity Sessions,” which functioned as an experiment utilizing this knowledge of intersectional feminist theory and praxis fused with select critical curation strategies applied to my own artistic practice as a classical singer. The outcome was a novel artistic practice that can contribute to creating innovative and artistically fulfilling performances while simultaneously advancing diversity and inclusion in the classical music sphere for audiences, performers, and composers alike.

Research on the Fusion Model of Professional Vocal Music Performance Voice Care and Artificial Intelligence Technology in Intelligent Medical Treatment

Intelligent medical treatment is an important research field in today’s world. Artificial intelligence technology is the key factor to construct intelligent medical treatment. In the development of artificial intelligence technology, it is necessary to establish a scientific, systematic, and comprehensive system analysis model, inevitably with certain professional characteristics. At present, in the research of vocal health care in professional vocal music performance, the application of intelligent medical care and vocal health care in professional vocal music performance is studied. According to the DEMATEL-ISM research method, this paper constructs 4 internal and external factors and 16 influencing factors to build a comprehensive and systematic weight analysis model, which provides a theoretical and practical basis for the scientific construction of AI technology algorithms. The aim is to improve the value and research significance of intelligent medical artificial intelligence technology in professional vocal music performance sound care.

Monitoring and Model Analysis of Vocal Performance Teaching Environment Using Cluster Analysis from the Perspective of Core Literacy.

To cultivate students' artistic quality, enhance their vocal music quality, and prepare them to make great contributions to the innovation and development of my country's vocal music art is the main goal of opening vocal music performance major in colleges and universities. With the advancement of technology and the demands of talent development, the vocal music teaching methodology for the vocal music performance major in colleges and universities must be continuously enhanced. Otherwise, there will be an issue of disconnect between teaching style and talent development, which will harm both the development of high-quality vocal music talents and the innovation and growth of vocal music performance majors in colleges and universities. The vocal music performance major at colleges and universities should actively support the reform and innovation of the vocal music teaching mode in order to extend students' knowledge, develop their all-around ability, and provide a strong foundation for vocal music performance, to develop students' all-encompassing musical abilities. This research suggests a design strategy for the monitoring and model optimization of the teaching environment for vocal performance majors from the standpoint of core literacy. To increase the efficiency and objectivity of course instruction, cluster analysis aids students in categorising and searching for vocal music performance main repertoire as well as using collaborative filtering recommendations to locate their own vocal music performance. The simulation test analysis is completed lastly. The method has a certain accuracy, which is 7.59% higher than the conventional algorithm, according to the simulation findings. In addition to significantly increasing student interest in studying vocal music performance courses, we further reform and innovation of the teaching method for these courses at colleges and universities can also strengthen students' understanding of various repertoire styles and significantly enhance their musical literacy.

DEVELOPING VOCAL MUSIC ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE: AN ANALYSIS IN SYNCHRONY TO THE CURRENT SYSTEMS IN KENYAN UNIVERSITIES

This paper sought to address the process through which universities in Kenya assess vocal music performance. The analysis was drawn against a checklist of 19 items that sought to develop a schedule that synchronizes with other schedules to help evaluate vocal music performance objectively. Purposive sampling was used to consider 12 universities offering music where 6 universities were randomly selected for participation in the study. Students of music were selected using stratified random sampling to acquire gender representation before simple random sampling technique was used to acquire the actual sample size n=30%. The study was guided by Constructive Alignment model(Biggs, 2003) as the theoretical underpinning. Data was collected using opinionnaires, questionnaires, focus group discussion, and observation schedule. Analyzed data was then presented in summarized tables and themes for content analysis. The students’ vocal evaluation and assessment schedules varied in the sampled universities as well as the capacity of music instructors to assess rhythmic accuracy, tempo, sight singing, tone, intonation, melodic accuracy, vocal technique, musicianship and synthesis analysis, historical and cultural context which formed the key elements of evaluation in the universities. The study concludes vocal music scores and evaluation schedules should be analyzed based on the developed schedule.

TOOLS FOR ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION OF VOCAL MUSIC AMONG SELECTED UNIVERSITIES IN KENYA

Vocal music performance occupies a dominant position in Kenya’s musical landscape yet academic study has raised numerous debates concerning its assessment and evaluation. It has been realized that performance in the arts presents an intricate problem and an absence of certain theoretical frameworks that stimulate vocal music discourses. Indeed in all levels of vocal music performance there is a need for instructors to provide a thorough documentation of student performance. Guided by Constructive Alignment Model (Biggs, 2003), this paper sought to analyse the tools and techniques used in assessing students’ feedback in vocal music performance by selected universities in Kenya. Twelve (12) universities that offer music were purposively sampled out of which random sampling technique was used to select six (6) universities. Students of music were selected using stratified sampling to acquire gender representation before simple random sampling technique was used to acquire the actual sample size n=30% of the population. This paper attempts to enlighten and improve the understanding of the tools used in assessment and evaluation of vocal music in Kenyan universities. Data was collected using opinionnaires for individual student responses, questionnaires for voice instructors and heads of the departments, focus group discussion for students, observation schedule by the authors and content analysis then presented in bar charts and frequency tables. Content analysed data was presented thematically. The study findings established that evaluation tools such as goal setting forms, templates for practice guidelines, lesson journals were inadequate. Therefore, the authors conclude that tools for assessment and evaluation of vocal music are of great significance to the growth of students’ vocals.

Humble Opinion on Body Language in Vocal Music Performance

Vocal music is a comprehensive performing art whose ultimate goal is to present a superb performance. An excellent singer must not only have a solid literary foundation, theoretical foundation, and sound skills, but also have beautiful body language. Only by combining vocal music techniques with body language can singers accurately portray the roles and convey emotions in their works. This article focuses on three aspects of body language overview, body language training methods in vocal performances, and the role of body language in vocal performances.

성악 발성에서의 레가토(Legato)에 대한 연구

본 연구는 성악 발성에서 나타나는 레가토(legato) 기법 연구를 통해 레가토에 영향을 미치는 3가지 요소를 분석하고 레가토 발성의 향상을 위한 효과적인 방법을 제시한다. 이를 위해 사례분석법과 귀납대비법을 활용한다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 첫째, 성악가의 발성 기술 측면에서, 호흡 문제, 발음 문제, 음역대 문제를 해결한다면 원활하게 레가토에 이를 수 있게 되고, 이를 통해 성악가의 레가토 발성 기술이 향상될 수 있다. 둘째, 성악가의 발성 언어의 측면에서, 성악 언어의 발음과 구조의 특징을 심도있게 분석하여 언어적 차원의 레가토를 이룰 수 있다면, 이를 통해 성악가가 발성 언어를 더욱 깊이 이해할 수 있다. 셋째, 성악가의 발성 감정의 측면에서, 사상과 정서의 두 방면에서 감정과 관련된 문제를 해결하여 레가토에 이를 수 있다면, 이를 통해 작품에 대한 성악가의 이해도가 높아질 수 있다. 종합해보면 레가토는 성악가의 발성 기술, 발성 언어, 발성 감정에 따라 큰 영향을 받는다. 본 연구를 통해 성악가들이 성악 발성에서의 레가토의 중요성을 심도있게 이해하여, 발성 과정에서 레가토를 더욱 효과적으로 활용하기를 기대한다.

Application of Situational Cognition Theory in Teaching of Vocal Music Performance

The teaching of vocal music performance is strongly technical, which can not only help students obtain a rich emotional experience in the melody of music, but enrich people’s cognition of emotion. This paper applies situational cognition theory to the teaching of vocal music performance. Based on the theoretical connotation of situational cognition theory and the characteristics of teaching of vocal music performance, this paper constructs a four-step teaching model of vocal music performance based on situational cognition theory: “situation—experience—exploration—application”, aiming at cultivating and enhancing students’ awareness of autonomous learning of vocal music performance, improving the accuracy of vocal music performance, and ultimately improving students’ comprehensive skills of vocal music performance.

Pronunciación y expresión. Un estudio preliminar sobre las posibilidades articulatorias de las consonantes del español como recursos musicales expresivos

El estudio de la pronunciación para el canto ha promovido el desarrollo de herramientas teóricas y analíticas que permiten comprender la realización de los sonidos del habla en la ejecución musical. No obstante, a pesar de que este conocimiento promete el desarrollo de una ejecución vocal inteligible, poco se ha indagado acerca de la potencialidad expresiva de los sonidos del habla en música (probablemente porque suelen ser considerados como unidades lingüísticas desprovistas de significado). El lingüista Alarcos Llorach (1950) propone que estos sonidos son capaces de evocar contenidos afectivos y sensoriales cuando sus rasgos articulatorios son asociados con el componente semántico de la palabra que forman (p. ej., la sílaba tam de la palabra tambor recuerda al toque de este instrumento). De acuerdo con esta idea, pronunciación y expresión ya no serían entendidas como elementos autónomos que contribuyen a la ejecución de la música vocal, sino como componentes del discurso musical que se interrelacionan en su interpretación. Con ánimos de explorar esta relación, nos proponemos estudiar las principales posibilidades articulatorias de las consonantes del español (duplicación, prolongación, afinación, aspiración y variación de la constricción) y cómo son empleadas como recursos musicales expresivos en contextos performáticos por cantantes y directores.

Effects of vocal and instrumental music on visuospatial and verbal performance as moderated by studying preference and personality

Cognitive performance as a function of 75 dB vocal or instrumental music was investigated in 61 university students. Three timed visuospatial and verbal tests were used. Vocal music disrupted performance significantly more than instrumental music on the Maze Tracing Speed (scanning speed) and Deciphering of Languages (logical reasoning) tests. Both vocal music and instrumental music disturbed performance more than no music on the Object-Number Test (associative learning and long-term memory), but this was moderated by studying preference. On the Object-Number Test those who typically did not study with music showed deterioration across conditions (no music > instrumental > vocal), while those who typically studied with music performed no better in the no music condition than either music condition. Extraversion was not a significant covariate of performance. In comparison to those who did not study with music, subjects who typically studied with music were more extraverted as assessed by the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, reported greater skills in focusing attention during distracting situations on the Differential Attentional Processes Inventory, and reported less sensitivity to noise in general on the Weinstein Noise Sensitivity Scale.

Vibrato and pitch transitions

<h2>Summary</h2> There are at least two timing variables to be considered in vocal music performance. The first is the note changes associated with the meter signature (4/4, 2/4, etc.) and the second is the vibrato rate of the performer. Because the probability is not great that these two temporal variables will always be in perfect synchrony, it was the purpose of this investigation to determine what singers do when these two timing variables come into conflict during singing. Six singers recorded a series of alternating upward and downward interval shifts of a third while singing whole notes, half notes, quarter notes and eighth notes. The same notes were then recorded with intervals of a fifth. The recorded samples were converted to a visual trace and examined for interactions between vibrato and meter. Analysis of the tracings indicated that, in the majority of the cases, the singers would alter their vibrato in order to adhere to the timing of the musical line.
