The feature worthy of emphasis in each case is the negligible symptomatology referable to the organ systems believed to be the sites of the primary defects—in the first case, the gastrointestinal tract with occult steatorrhea; in the second, the kidneys with latent tubular acidosis.CASE REPORTSCase 1.
