The Influence of Sound Slide Learning Media on Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Integrated Social Studies at SMP Negeri Satap Sinairusi MBD

Sound Slides or sound slides are an innovation in learning that can be used as a learning medium and are effective in helping students understand abstract concepts to become more concrete (concretizing something that is abstract). Says that learning outcomes are changes in individual behavior which include the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The learning outcomes referred to in this research are the changes obtained by students in completing the learning program through audio-visual learning media. This research was carried out at Satap Sinairusi MBD State Middle School for one month using this research method, namely quasi-experiment or quasi-experiment. Quasi Experiment has a control group, but it cannot function fully to control the variables that influence the implementation of the experiment, this is because the group used is a pre-existing group. Therefore, quasi experiments are used if it is difficult to get a control group. The learning outcomes of students from the experimental class experienced major changes after using sound slide learning media when compared to the control class which did not use sound slide learning media. This proves that the sound slide learning media has an effect on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects.

Implementation of Audio-Visual Media in Pie Learning in Elementary School

Implementation of Audio-Visual Media in PAI Learning in Elementary Schools. This research aims to determine PAI learning planning using audio-visual media. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Rempek on students in grades 4 and 5 in semester 2 of the 2023/2024 academic year. With a total of 55 students, namely 35 students in class 4 and 20 students in class 5. The method used in this research is field research, with a qualitative descriptive approach, the subjects in this research are audio-visual media using LCD, teachers and also students. In this research, data collection techniques use interview, observation and documentation techniques, and data analysis techniques in this research use data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that Islamic Religious Education learning planning using audio-visual media in grades 4 and 5 is going well, this can be seen from the learning planning which is made in the form of teaching modules.

Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Audio Visual pada Materi Sistem Kardiovaskuler/Sirkulasi di Sekolah Menengah Pertama

Biology is one of the subjects that students consider difficult. This difficulty arises because students must memorize the facts, principles, and theories taught by the teacher, without paying attention to the student's need to discover, develop, and apply their own ideas. The use of information technology in learning is an effective solution to overcome low student participation and increase their motivation in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the feasibility of audio-visual media circulation system and describe the effectiveness of audio-visual media in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach through a descriptive method. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study are that the use of audio-visual media in cardiovascular/circulatory materials in the learning of the human circulatory system can increase student activity and learning outcomes. This media can also help convey information more completely and concretely, making it easier for students to understand material that tends to be abstract

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MIND MAPPING BERBANTUAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

IPAS is a learning that prioritizes students' critical thinking skills. However, the lack of use of attractive learning models and media results in students not being interested in participating in social studies learning, so that students' social studies learning outcomes decrease. This study aims to determine the influence of the Mind Mapping learning model assisted by audio-visual media on the critical thinking skills of grade V students in science learning in elementary school cluster IV, Kediri district for the 2023/2024 school year. The population of this study is all class V in Cluster IV Kediri, with as many as 180 students. This research was conducted using a pseudo-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The results of data analysis showed that students who learned with the Mind Mapping model and audio-visual media had a significant increase in critical thinking skills compared to students who did not use this approach. The average score of critical thinking ability of students who used the Mind Mapping learning model was 88.39%, while students who did not use the model only achieved an average score of 80.32%. This shows that the mind-mapping learning model assisted by audio-visual media has a positive impact on the critical thinking ability of grade V students in science lessons in elementary school.

The increase of International Audiovisual Productions in Greece - Impact on Tourism and the Greek Economy

In this paper is being examined the growth of international audiovisual productions being partially or entirely developed in Greece and the central role of the Greek public authorities in assisting this tourism-generating industry grow even more. This study tries to pinpoint the most common impediments that the audiovisual media industry confronts when deciding to select Greece as the location for an audiovisual project. Sustainable practices that are proposed aim to further attract and develop analogous initiatives in the Greek territory. Some of the most important benefits of the realization of such projects for the local communities are pointed out such as the increase in income, the creation of new jobs and the general boost of the local economy. The impact of audiovisual productions on tourism is also related to the "film effect" and the contributory role of audiovisual productions to promote a location’s attractions. This paper focuses on the international audiovisual productions industry’s expansion with an emphasis on the positive effects that the cultural-economic audiovisual productions have in strengthening both local economies and the Greek audiovisual sector.

The Influence of Audio Visual Media on Critical Thinking in Civics Learning for Islamic Elementary School

This research examines the effect of using audio-visual media on critical thinking in Civics learning in class V Min 4 students in Medan City. This research is quantitative research using experimental research methods. The population used in this research was all classes V Min 4 in Medan City for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 108 students. The sampling technique that researchers will use is nonprobability sampling, the Purposive sampling model. The sample in this research was 21 class VA students and 18 class VB students. They were collecting research data through interviews, observation, documentation, and Testing, collecting research data, interviews, observation, and documentation and using a 5 question Essay Test for critical thinking skills. The inferential statistical technique used is prerequisite analysis for normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent t-tests to test hypotheses. Based on the research results, there are differences in students' average critical thinking learning outcomes in the control and experimental classes, which shows the influence of audio-visual media on critical thinking in civics learning. Based on the criteria for the effectiveness of using audio-visual media on students' critical thinking, they are at the third level. or effective enough to be used in learning.

Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Media Kartu Huruf Berbasis Audio Visual untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Daya Ingat

Technological advancements directly influence the field of education, particularly shifting the paradigm of interaction between teachers and students. This influence demands teachers to innovate and create using available technology. Teacher creativity significantly impacts the quality of the learning process. Learning media supports the learning process and holds a crucial position within the educational system. Without media, communication during learning processes becomes less engaging, potentially making learning less appealing and boring. Utilizing audio-visual-based letter card media to enhance student memory skills at the PAUD Al-Ikhtiar, teachers and students can easily utilize these cards during their learning process. This enhances teachers' understanding and ability to use audio-visual letter-based media effectively, creating a more enjoyable learning environment and improving students' memory, thereby enhancing children's interest in reading. The method employed in this community service program includes participatory training in utilizing learning media. The program's execution involves a team approach with university faculty members assigned to assist teachers, ensuring the training's optimal implementation. Implementation methods encompass activity coordination, resource preparation, execution, and evaluation. The results of the community service initiative were met with enthusiasm and motivation among participants. Practically, it can be concluded that 88% of training participants have effectively developed the Linktree learning media.

Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Audio Visual Pada Pembelajaran Biolodi di SMP

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of audio-visual learning media on Biology learning in junior high school. The method used is literature study by analyzing articles, books, and relevant literature sources. The data sources that will be used in this study are scientific articles, books, journals, research reports, and other literature sources that are relevant and related to the use of audio-visual learning media in biology learning. The data analysis method used in this study is literature analysis or systematic literature review. The results of the study show that the use of audio-visual learning media significantly improves students' understanding in learning Biology. This medium helps students better visualize complex biological concepts, such as fertilization and embryonic development. In addition, audio-visual learning media also increases student involvement in the learning process, making it more interactive. However, there are several challenges in the use of audio-visual learning media, such as limited access to technology in some schools and high multimedia content development costs. Therefore, it is recommended that schools improve their technological infrastructure and train teachers in the effective use of this medium. The implication of this study is that audio-visual learning media can be used effectively to improve students' understanding of complex biology materials

Millennial Screen Cultures in Spain: Queering the Mainstream*

This article interrogates queer representations in twenty-first century Spanish film and digital media, focusing on a group of emerging millennial filmmakers: Paco León, Eduardo Casanova, and the duo Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo (‘Los Javis’). It argues that films and digital series by these directors are representative of a Spanish queer aesthetics which navigates between combative subversion and mainstream inclusion. It assesses to what extent contemporary screen cultures are still challenging hegemonic social and ideological constructs in relation to gender, sexuality and identity and in what ways they grapple with LGBTQ + visibility and subjectivity vis-à-vis the mainstream audio-visual media industry.

Event boundary perception in audio described films by people without sight

AbstractAudio description (AD) plays a crucial role in making audiovisual media accessible to people with a visual impairment, enhancing their experience and understanding. This study employs an event segmentation task to examine how people without sight perceive and segment narrative events in films with AD, compared to sighted viewers without AD. Two AD versions were utilized, differing in the explicitness of conveyed event boundaries. Results reveal that the participants without sight generally perceived event boundaries similarly to their sighted peers, affirming AD's effectiveness in conveying event structures. However, when key event boundaries were more implicitly expressed, event boundary recognition diminished. Collectively, these findings offer valuable insights into event segmentation processes across sensory modalities. Additionally, they underscore the significance of how AD presents event boundaries, influencing the perception and interpretation of audiovisual media for people with a visual impairment and providing applied insights into event segmentation, multimodal processing, and audiovisual accessibility.

Use of Fairy Tales as a Communication Media in Character Formation in Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten

This research activity was held to find out the impact of using audio-visual learning media in the form of fairy tales on character formation in Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten. The location of the kindergarten is on Jl. A.R Hakim, Ex. Nangka, North Binjai, North Sumatra. This research uses qualitative research methods to obtain clear and accurate research results. From the conclusions of the research results at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten, fairy tales are very good to use as a communication medium in forming the character of early childhood.

In the post-medial era of maximum digital definition of images (Eugeni 2015; 2021), a part of the aesthetic research on images work on the modes of the indistinct and indeterminate, the formless and the blurred (Dusi 2013; 2019). Fictional cinema and TV series, documentary photography that investigates movement and performance, experimental video art that works on the limits of vision, use operations of “imperfect” visibility dominated by a subjectification and non-closure of meaning. They decline the modes of filtered or blurred vision, for example alternating montage of sharp and blurred images or using indistinct images within a single frame. Blurring the images is a way to filter the opposition between visible and invisible and between presence and absence. It complicates the game between real and virtual, opening the audio-visual media products to the drift of interpretations and the vertigo of potential worlds. For some directors (i.e. David Lynch) this type of imperfect vision and the mechanisms of de-figuration by blurring or rarefaction are a way of narrating the loss of identity of the subject (Ricoeur 1990) and become structural mechanisms that affect representation. Nowadays we also face a new manipulation of moving images, producing melted and liquefied images, a collective and playful sharing of a practice that until ten years ago was considered experimental. It is the case of data moshing and glitching, actually an exercise in rewriting and manipulating the algorithms and an intervention on the digital medium that reveals its capacity for decomposition and manipulation of the image.

Features of Coverage of the SARS-COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic in the Ukrainian Audiovisual Media (on the Example of News Releases of Central and Regional Television Channels and Public Service Broadcasters of Ukraine)

This paper explores some patterns of coverage of the coronavirus pandemic in the news programs of television and radio channels of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine. The process of pandemic coverage is reflexive and does not have a clear strategy or policy. The study is the first in this direction, and this is its scientific novelty. The most stable characteristic of vaccination coverage by Ukrainian Radio news is informing the audience about everything related to COVID-19 vaccinations.

Pemanfaatan Media Audio Visual Youtube Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menulis Berita Pada Pembelajaran Indonesia

This research is motivated by the use of YouTube audio-visual media in improving the ability to write news for Indonesian language learning. Factor This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using YouTube audio-visual media in improving students' ability to write news and find out the challenges and obstacles in using YouTube audio-visual media. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach to collect data and information through the library study method. The results of this study show that the use of YouTube audio-visual media in learning Indonesian has great potential to improve students' news writing skills. The effectiveness of using YouTube as a learning tool can be seen from various aspects, including student involvement, increased understanding of concepts, and practical skills in writing news.

Application of Audiovisual Learning Media based on Culturally Responsive Teaching to Improve Students' Learning Motivation

Background: Each student has different characteristics, they will develop certain attitudes, interests, appreciation and goals. Therefore, the teacher's duty is to form motivation that can encourage students to do something to achieve their learning goals. This research aims to determine the effect of applying audiovisual learning media in the form of songs based on culturally responsive teaching in improving students' learning motivation on biodiversity material. Method: This research applies the collaborative classroom action reasearch methods with a quantitative approach with to sudy subjects of 36 students. The instruments used were students' initial motivational interview sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, student attitudes and skills observation sheets, and student learning motivation questionnaires. Students' learning motivation measured in this study included 10 indicators of 1) There is desire. to be successful, 2) There is encouragement and need to learn, 3) Perseverance in facing tasks, 4) Tenacity in facing difficulties, 5) Independence in acting, 6) Providing time, 7) Trying to estimate the results of various strategies, 8) Enjoying finding and solving problems - questions, 9) Courage to face failure, 10) Ability to rise from failure. Results: The results show that percentage of student motivation in cycle 1 obtained an average motivation score of 74.27%, while in cycle 2 the average percentage of student motivation was 79.57%. Overall, the average percentage of student motivation in cycles 1 and 2 was 76.92%. Conclusion: The implementation of audiovisual learning media in the form of CRT-based songs in biodiversity material can improve students' learning motivation. This can be seen from the average percentage of students' learning motivation of 76.92% with moderate motivation interpretatios. Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Audio Visual terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik tentang Materi Daur Hidup Hewan

The very rapid development of science and technology currently requires a country to improve the quality and quality of education in order to be able to compete with countries in the world. One way is to require learning in schools to be in line with developments in science and technology. It is hoped that the application of technology in the learning process can provide greater convenience, independence and interest for students in providing learning materials. This research aims to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on students' motivation and learning outcomes regarding animal life cycle material. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research method with a nonequivalent control group design, where the experimental class is taught with audio-visual media while the control class is taught with a conventional learning model. The research population was all class III students, with sampling using a purposive sampling technique and the research samples were obtained, namely class III OB, totaling 20 students as the control group and class III OD, totaling 20 students, as the experimental group. The research instruments used were learning motivation questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The questionnaire data analysis technique used is validity and reliability tests, while the test data is tested for validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiability of questions. To test the hypothesis, prerequisite tests were carried out using homogeneity and normality tests. After that, hypotheses 1 and 2 were tested using the independent t test, while hypothesis 3 used the MANOVA test. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results obtained are 1) there are differences in student learning outcomes in classes that use learning with audio-visual media, 2) there are differences in the learning motivation of students in classes that use learning with audio-visual media, and 3) there is the influence of media audio visuals on student motivation and learning outcomes.

Pengaruh Penyuluhan dengan Media Audiovisual terhadap Kepatuhan Perilaku Konsumsi Tablet Besi pada Ibu Hamil di Desa Bangun Rejo Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara Tahun 2024

Counseling with media can arouse and bring pregnant women into an atmosphere of joy and happiness, where there is emotional and mental involvement. The effectiveness of using counseling media is largely determined by the number of senses involved. The more senses used, the easier it is to understand the counseling message. This study aims to analyze the effect of counseling using audiovisual media on compliance with iron tablet consumption behavior in pregnant women in Bangun Rejo Village, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province in 2024. This type of research is an intervention study using a true experimental research design. The design of this study is a pre-test and post-test with control group design. A pre-test was carried out, then an intervention was carried out on the experimental group and the control group, then a post-test was carried out on the experimental group and the control group with a time gap of two weeks. With a sample size of 32 pregnant women in the third trimester using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed an increase in compliance in the counseling group using audiovisual media was greater, namely 43.73 compared to the counseling group that did not use audiovisual media, namely 31.60. The data were then analyzed using an independent t-test with computer software and produced a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. Conclusion: Counseling using audiovisual media can increase compliance in consuming iron tablets compared to counseling alone without using media.

The Use of Audio-Visual Media on Student Learning Interest in Explanatory Text Material

Background. The use of audio-visual media in education has gained increasing attention due to its potential to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. In Indonesian language instruction, particularly in teaching explanatory text material, there is a need to explore innovative methods to improve student interest and comprehension. Purpose. This study aims to evaluate the impact of using audio-visual media on students' interest in learning explanatory text material in class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Hiliduho. Method. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was employed. The study involved 20 students from class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Hiliduho. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Results. The use of audio-visual media significantly increased students' interest and understanding of explanatory text material. Students demonstrated improved ability in determining appropriate terms and adjusting explanatory texts to their proper structure and characteristics. Audio-visual media, such as PowerPoint presentations and videos, made the material more engaging and comprehensible, facilitating a more efficient learning process. Students using audio-visual media showed higher levels of engagement compared to those who did not, as they were able to follow the learning flow more effectively. Conclusion. The findings suggest that audio-visual media play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience for students studying explanatory text material. Teachers reported that these tools aided in more effective content delivery. The increased student engagement and improved understanding of the material highlight the potential of audio-visual media as a valuable instructional tool in Indonesian language education, particularly for explanatory text instruction.
