A leadership and policy development model for driving operational success in tech companies

In the fast-evolving landscape of technology companies, leadership plays a critical role in shaping operational policies that align with long-term business goals. This review introduces a leadership and policy development model designed to drive operational success in technology-driven organizations. The model emphasizes the importance of visionary, collaborative, and data-driven leadership in developing and implementing operational policies that not only enhance day-to-day efficiency but also support sustainable growth and innovation. The framework is built around key leadership pillars, including visionary leadership that sets a clear operational direction, collaborative leadership that fosters cross-functional engagement, and data-driven leadership that leverages analytics to inform policy decisions. It highlights the process of policy creation and implementation, beginning with an assessment of existing operational challenges, followed by the development of scalable policies that align with business strategies. The model also incorporates agile leadership, which promotes adaptability in response to rapid technological advancements and market shifts, ensuring that policies remain relevant and effective. Moreover, the model focuses on promoting operational innovation by embedding policies that encourage research and development, cross-department collaboration, and continuous improvement. Leaders are encouraged to integrate Lean and Agile methodologies within policies to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall operational performance. Through real-world case studies and applications, this review demonstrates how technology companies can benefit from leadership that actively shapes policies to foster operational excellence. The proposed model serves as a strategic tool for tech leaders, helping them align operational policies with long-term objectives, drive innovation, and maintain competitive advantage in the global market. By adopting this leadership-driven policy approach, tech companies can enhance their ability to scale effectively and sustain operational success in an ever-changing environment.

Two “Fires” of Leadership: Is it Possible to Listen and Lead Parish Cultural Change?

Pope Francis has claimed that “we are living through a change of epoch, the deepest level of which is cultural.” “A change of epoch” entails much change in Catholic parishes especially across the Western world. Change can be chosen or unchosen. Actively chosen change is explored in this paper. Examples include parishes self-consciously adapting to become more mission-focused or purposefully adopting more traditional liturgical styles. Drawing on empirical case studies of British parishes undertaken in the course of my doctoral research in 2017 and 2018, this paper explores two different styles of leadership using Pope Francis’s metaphor of two “fires.” While “powerful flame” stands for bold, visionary leadership, “charcoal fire” represents more mild and tender listening. I consider questions such as: What is the cultural impact on a community when listening is engaged in, and when it is not? How might listening impact a parish’s direction of travel if intentional change is pursued? And what limitations to change might a listening approach entail?

Pioneering the Game: Visionary Leadership in Higher Education Athletics and Athletes’ Sport Engagement

This study investigates the correlation between visionary leadership practices and athletes' engagement in higher education sports, focusing on five core dimensions: Inspiring Vision, Strategic Thinking, Innovation and Creativity, Team Empowerment, and Adaptability and Resilience. Data were collected from athletes participating in various sports at five universities in China. Results indicate that athletes positively evaluated visionary leadership across all dimensions, with "Inspiring Vision" receiving the highest ratings. Engagement in sports was found to be highly correlated with strong leadership practices, particularly in areas like Clear Vision, Individualized Development, and Coach-Athlete Relationships. No significant differences in leadership evaluations were found when considering demographic variables like sex and academic program. This research underscores the importance of visionary leadership in enhancing student-athletes' involvement and success in higher education athletics.

The impact of visionary leadership on product quality from the perspective of quality assurance managers in small and medium-sized companies: the mediating role of continual improvement

PurposeA review of relevant literature supported the need to examine the nature of the relationships (if any) between visionary leadership, continual improvement and product quality. This study examined the relationship between visionary leadership and product quality and investigated the mediating role of continual improvement in the relationship between visionary leadership and product quality.Design/methodology/approachVisionary leadership, continual improvement and product quality were measured through a questionnaire developed based on a theoretical framework derived from the literature and distributed to quality assurance managers in small and medium-sized companies in the engineering, electrical and information technology sectors in Jordan.FindingsThe results indicated that the levels of visionary leadership, continual improvement and product quality are good and more from the perspective of quality assurance managers in these companies. The results also indicated that there is a positive, statistically significant relationship between visionary leadership and continual improvement and between continual improvement and product quality. Moreover, the results indicated that the relationship between visionary leadership and product quality is partially mediated by continual improvement. This indicates that there is a direct, positive and statistically significant relationship between visionary leadership and product quality.Originality/valueTo the author’s knowledge, this is the first study that examined the relationship between visionary leadership, continual improvement and product quality and investigated the mediating role of continual improvement in the relationship between visionary leadership and product quality. This study concluded that visionary leadership is the driver of all improvement initiatives and activities, which in turn improve the final products. The study contributes to the literature by revealing that visionary leadership leads to continual improvement and thus product quality, supporting the sequential relationship between them. Accordingly, the study provides useful theoretical insights and practical implications.

Navigating organizational change through a processual perspective on the transition toward the circular economy: Save The Duck case study

PurposeBy rooting our study in Lewin’s change management theory, we conduct an in-depth case study of a medium-sized fashion firm transitioning toward a CE. Through adopting a multi-level and processual perspective, we offer empirical evidence of the change process and elucidate the drivers and resistance to change factors.Design/methodology/approachWe opt for a single in-depth longitudinal case study of a fashion firm that was born with a sustainable business model and that is in transition toward the CE. We involve multiple informants, and we adopt a processual approach to uncover the drivers and resistance to change factors at different organizational levels (i.e. top and middle management and operational levels).FindingsOur findings enable us to highlight novel key drivers and resistance factors at the organizational level. Regarding the former, we reveal the involvement of top and middle management in the decision-making process and the recruitment of young people. For the resistance factors, we identify adaptation to structural change, reluctant mindset, internal divergence of ideas, and commitment of all organizational levels to the CE.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper presents some limitations. First, our research is based on a single in-depth case study, which, while allowing for rich, detailed exploration, inherently limits the statistical generalizability of our findings. Focusing just on one organization located in a specific industry and geographical context means that our results may not be directly applicable to all organizational settings. Firms belonging to other industries would probably show different patterns of change due to industry-specific drivers and barriers. Also, the institutional and geographical contexts of our case study inevitably influence the cognitive and cultural aspects of the drivers and barriers we identified. Then, our research provides a processual yet not longitudinal view of OCCE, thus not fully capturing the long-term dynamics of the phenomenon.Practical implicationsOur findings underscore the critical role of visionary leadership, particularly stemming from the CEO, in driving CE transition. Leaders should articulate a clear vision for sustainability, foster a culture of experimentation and actively identify opportunities for CE implementation. Moreover, our results suggest that organizational culture plays a fundamental role in supporting CE transition. Creating a dedicated sustainability team to coordinate CE initiatives and counter the internal resistance, fostering the engagement of all organizational levels in CE initiatives, developing training programs to enhance CE knowledge and skills throughout the organization and recruiting young talents are some of the key recommendations we posit to firms aiming to start the process of CE transition.Originality/valueThis paper contributes to the emerging literature on “Organizational Change toward a Circular Economy” (OCCE) by providing a processual analysis of organizational change toward the CE. Through an in-depth exploratory study of a fashion firm in transition toward the CE, we were able to identify drivers and resistance factors and to offer a visual map of our findings to graphically show the change toward the CE and the drivers and resistance to change factors that have thus far been under-investigated from an organizational level (Graessler et al., 2024).

Technology Leadership of Educational Institution Administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office

Background and Aims: Nowadays, technology play an important role in the management of educational institutions. Educational institution administrators need to have technological leadership to be able to manage education effectively. Using existing technology in the management process, promoting and supporting personnel under the organization. It will greatly increase the usefulness and efficiency of work in today's era. Therefore, it is necessary to develop, improve and modernize the existing education system. and consistent with technological changes this research has the following objectives: (1) Study the level of technological leadership of educational institution administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office. (2) Compare the technological leadership of educational institution administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office classified by position education level and work experience. (3) Study guidelines for developing technological leadership of educational institution administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office. Methodology: The sample group used in the research included 127 school administrators and teachers under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office. The sample size was determined according to Krejci and Morgan's table. and the sample was selected using stratified random sampling. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire using a 5-level rating scale with a consistency index between 0.80-1.00 and the reliability of the entire questionnaire was 0.96. In addition, interviews were used as additional tools. In data analysis use a variety of statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, F-test, and Scheffe's Method analysis. Results: The results of the research found that: (1) Technology leadership of school administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office overall and in each aspect, it is at a "very" level. (2) Technology leadership comparison results of administrators of educational institutions under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office classified by position Education level and work experience It was found that overall and, in each aspect, there were no differences. However, when classified according to work experience It was found that overall, there were no differences. But in terms of supporting the use of technology in measurement and evaluation. There is a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level. (3) Guidelines for developing technology leadership of educational institution administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office, it consists of 5 main areas: 1) Having leadership and technology vision, 2) supporting teaching and learning using technology, 3) ethics in using technology, 4) supporting the use of technology in administration, 5) supporting the use of technology in measurement and evaluate. Conclusion: Technology leadership of educational institution administrators’ emphasis should be placed on appropriate management and application of technology in educational institutions. To achieve maximum efficiency in operations and development of educational quality.

Digital Leadership of School Administrators under the Jurisdiction of the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office

Background and Aims: The world changes in the 21st century to a fully digital era. As a result, school management must inevitably use technology as a tool to support teaching and learning. Schools in this century have undergone significant changes in many areas, such as the nature of knowledge. Learner's role and the role of the teacher. This is something that school administrators need to have the ability to understand and to support these changes. This research has the following objectives: 1) to study the digital leadership level of educational institution administrators under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office. 2) To compare the digital leadership of educational institution administrators under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office. Classified by position Work experience and the size of the educational institution. 3) To study methods for developing digital leadership of educational institution administrators under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office. Methodology: The sample used in this research consisted of 331 school administrators and teachers. The sample size was determined according to Krejci and Morgan's table. and used the random sampling method. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a 5-level rating scale. Which has a consistency index value in the range of 0.80 - 1.00 and a reliability value for all questionnaires equal to 0.86. Statistics used in data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-value and F-value tests. Results: The results of the research found that: (1) A study of the level of leadership in the digital age of administrators of educational institutions under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office. Overall and in each aspect are at a high level. (2) Results of comparing opinions about leadership in the digital age of administrators of educational institutions under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office. Classified by position Work experience and the size of the educational institution Overall and in each aspect, no differences were found. (3) Guidelines for promoting and developing leadership in the digital age of administrators of educational institutions under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office consist of 5 areas: 1) having a modern leadership vision, 2) developing creativity, 3) paying attention to the needs of teachers and students, 4) increasing the efficiency of working together, and 5) promoting to have knowledge and ability. Conclusion: The study found that educational administrators in Sakon Nakhon demonstrate strong leadership in the digital age across all areas, with no significant differences based on position, experience, or institution size. It also emphasizes five key strategies for improving leadership: cultivating a modern vision, creativity, attention to stakeholder needs, collaboration, and ongoing skill development.

Organizational formalization neutralizes the effect of leader trait anger and vision on follower trust in the leader

PurposeWe integrate trait, individual differences and substitutes for leadership theories to examine how leader trait anger influences leader vision and follower trust in the leader across high versus low levels of organizational formalization.Design/methodology/approachWe obtained data from two independent multi-source samples from different occupations and countries. Sample 1: leader–follower dyads (n = 179) collected over three measurement periods from the Philippines; Sample 2: cross-correlational sample of leaders (n = 166), their manager (n = 166) and their followers (n = 610) from Australia.FindingsWe tested our hypotheses using PROCESS (Hayes, 2018) and found that leader trait anger influenced follower trust in the leader both directly and indirectly through leader vision (Samples 1 & 2). We also found that organizational formalization neutralized the effect of leader vision on follower trust in the leader (Sample 2).Research limitations/implicationsWhile we used a time-lagged design in Sample 1, we cannot make strong causal claims as might be the case in an experimental study, for example.Practical implicationsOur results highlight the adverse effect of leader trait anger on perceptions of leader vision and follower trust in the leader, which we suggest should be considered in recruitment and promotion decisions. Our findings also suggest that high levels of organizational formalization may undermine the motivational effect of leader vision on followers, which should be considered in relation to organizational rules and procedures.Originality/valueThis research enhances our understanding of a previously unexplored boundary condition (i.e. organizational formalization) that appears to neutralize the motivational effect of leader vision. In addition, it highlights the ubiquitous effect of trait anger, in this case undermining the effectiveness of leader vision and trust in the leader, from two different observer perspectives (i.e. leaders’ followers and managers).

The Process of Visionary Leadership Increases Innovative Performance among IT Industry 4.0 for SMEs for Organizational Sustainability: Testing the Moderated Mediation Model

In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, competition among IT industries is becoming increasingly fierce. If a company is weak in its competitive advantage, it can have a huge negative impact on its organizational sustainability and ultimately lead to organizational failure. In such a research background, we highlighted that employees’ innovative performance via creativity acts as an alternative lubricant to increase the sustainable competitive advantage and promote overall organizational sustainability. In particular, employees’ innovative performance has a great relationship with organizational culture and types of leadership. Hence, we focused on exploring the ways in which visionary leadership increases employees’ innovative performance, presenting and verifying a moderated mediation research model related to the innovative performance. To verify our research model, this study conducted a survey of 303 employees from the information technology (IT) industry of SMEs in China. According to the results, visionary leadership was found to have a positive influence on both psychological empowerment and employees’ innovative performance. In addition, psychological empowerment partially mediated the impact of visionary leadership on the innovation performance. Finally, the organizational learning culture moderated the effects of psychological empowerment and the innovation performance. Overall, this study contributes to revealing the process that leads to employees’ innovative performance and contributes to expanding the research field by verifying the moderated mediation model for a sustainable competitive advantage and organizational sustainability in IT Industry 4.0 for SMEs.

Industry 4.0 and Agile Project Management: Evolution of Leadership Concepts and Roles

This study examines the impact of Industry 4.0 on the concept of leadership approaches. The research aims to compare leadership theories before and after Industry 4.0, determine how leadership roles have evolved in agile project management, and identify effective leadership styles. The study employs literature review and qualitative research methods, specifically using focus group studies. Two separate focus group studies were conducted through online meetings and face-to-face sessions to thoroughly examine the approaches of executives from companies who have mature project management offices in Turkey. Data were obtained by transcribing the audio recordings of discussions during focus group sessions and comparing them with researcher notes. The study extensively examines the impacts of identified leadership styles, determined through literature review, on the management of agile project teams. Findings indicate that leadership styles such as visionary, organizing, relational, and social leadership play significant roles in agile project management. Additionally, leadership personality traits observed in each of these styles have been identified. The results underscore the need to redefine leadership approaches and highlight the effects of Industry 4.0 on project management. By linking the characteristics of leadership styles and their impacts on agile teams with the literature, the study contributes to future leadership research and practices. In this context, it emphasizes the development of technological competencies for organizations to succeed and the need for flexible and innovative organizational structures. Furthermore, it suggests that leaders in the digital transformation processes brought by Industry 4.0 should possess skills to facilitate their employees' adaptation processes. This study contributes significantly to academic literature and business by exploring leadership evolution in Industry 4.0 and redefining roles in agile project management, emphasizing ongoing focus on development and innovation in leadership.

China’s Governance in the “New Era” of Xi Jinping

The dramatic shifts in policies and practices of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) over the course of its tumultuous 75-year history underscore the decisive importance of political leadership. Institutionally, China closely resembles other former and surviving Communist regimes. Operationally, however, its dynamic patterns of governance reflect the shifting concerns of a succession of visionary Communist Party leaders.

Feminism as a transatlantic bridge to modernity: María de Maeztu’s Residencia de Señoritas and the American International Institute for Girls in Spain (1917–1936)

ABSTRACT At the beginning of the twentieth century a globalization of women's associations, driven mostly by the United States, Great Britain, and France, was instrumental in the Western advancement of gender equality. Modernist feminist authors disseminated and promoted ideas about suffragism, the integration of women in higher education, pacifism, and gender equality along international networks. In this essay I study two women’s academic institutions that contributed to forming a solid transatlantic web of intellectual alliances between Spain and the United States of America: The International Institute for Girls in Spain (headquartered in Boston) and the Residencia de Señoritas (in Madrid). The two institutions exchanged university faculty through pensions, scholarships, and exchanges, modeling transatlantic intellectual alliance for students. This coalition exponentially grew the numbers of Spanish students in university desks and raised the percentages of Americans and Spaniards completing their higher educations in both countries. Under the visionary feminist leadership of María de Maeztu, several cohorts of students became a new, feminist intercontinental network serving as a motor of twentieth-century modernity.

By leveraging automation and technology, startups can create more efficient and environmentally friendly operational systems. The model integrates leadership vision with administrative processes, creating a holistic approach that encourages continuous improvement and innovation. The benefits of adopting sustainable operations, such as enhanced financial resilience, competitive advantage, and improved brand reputation, are also discussed. Moreover, sustainability offers tech startups a significant edge in attracting and retaining top talent while fostering customer loyalty. Ultimately, this model serves as a blueprint for technology startups to build scalable, efficient, and responsible operations, ensuring their success in the long term by aligning leadership and administrative strategies with sustainability objectives. Innovative Leadership for Social Impact: A Study of Benin’s Accounting, Finance and Economic Strategy

This study delves into the innovative leadership strategies employed in Benin to drive social impact and economic growth. Despite global economic challenges, Benin has emerged as a model for leveraging innovative leadership to address socioeconomic issues. Through a combination of surveys and semi-structured interviews with policymakers, business leaders, and community stakeholders, this research explores the core elements of Benin’s accounting and economic strategy. The study employed qualitative analysis methods to process the data, identifying transformative policies and initiatives that have spurred sustainable development and social progress. The findings reveal that Benin’s success is attributed to robust leadership frameworks, inclusive decision-making processes, and strategic implementations. Specifically, the research highlights how visionary leadership has effectively contributed to accounting and economic resilience, poverty reduction, and improved quality of life for citizens. Additionally, the study underscores the critical role of accounting leadership in fostering inclusive growth and provides actionable insights for policymakers and leaders aiming to replicate Benin’s success in other contexts. By adding to the academic discourse on accounting leadership and economic development, this study offers practical implications for enhancing accounting socioeconomic outcomes through innovative accounting leadership strategies.

Strategies for older people living in care homes to prevent urinary tract infection: the StOP UTI realist synthesis.

Urinary tract infection is the most diagnosed infection in older people. It accounts for more than 50% of antibiotic prescriptions in care homes and is a frequent reason for care home residents being hospitalised. This realist review developed and refined programme theories for preventing and recognising urinary tract infection, exploring what works, for whom and in what circumstances. The review used realist synthesis to explore existing literature on the detection and prevention of urinary tract infection, complemented by stakeholder consultation. It applies to the UK context, although other healthcare systems may identify synergies in our findings. Bibliographic databases searched included MEDLINE, CINAHL, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Web of Science Core Collection (including the Social Sciences Citation Index), Sociological Abstracts, Bibliomap and National Institute for Health and Care Research Journals Library. Title and abstract screening were undertaken by two researchers independently of each other. Selection and assessment were based on relevance and rigour and cross-checked by a second researcher. Data extracted from the included studies were explored for explanations about how the interventions were considered to work (or not). Evidence tables were constructed to enable identification of patterns across studies that offered insight about the features of successful interventions. Programme theories were constructed through a four-stage process involving scoping workshops, examination of relevant extant theory, analysis and synthesis of primary research, teacher-learner interviews and a cross-system stakeholder event. A process of abductive and retroductive reasoning was used to construct context-mechanism-outcome configurations to inform programme theory. The scoping review and stakeholder engagement identified three theory areas that address the prevention and recognition of urinary tract infection and show what is needed to implement best practice. Nine context-mechanism-outcome configurations provided an explanation of how interventions to prevent and recognise urinary tract infection might work in care homes. These were (1) recognition of urinary tract infection is informed by skills in clinical reasoning, (2) decision-support tools enable a whole care team approach to communication, (3) active monitoring is recognised as a legitimate care routine, (4) hydration is recognised as a care priority for all residents, (5) systems are in place to drive action that helps residents to drink more, (6) good infection prevention practice is applied to indwelling urinary catheters, (7) proactive strategies are in place to prevent recurrent urinary tract infection, (8) care home leadership and culture fosters safe fundamental care and (9) developing knowledgeable care teams. We adapted our approach and work to online interactions with stakeholders and as a research team because of COVID-19. This also had an impact on bringing stakeholders together at a face-to-face event at the end of the project. Studies focusing on the prevention of urinary tract infection in care home settings were predominantly from the USA and Europe where the regulatory and funding systems for the long-term care of the elderly have some differences, particularly in the USA where national reporting plays a significant role in driving improvements in care. Care home staff have a vital role in the prevention and recognition of urinary tract infection, which can be enabled through integration and prioritisation within the systems and routines of care homes and delivery of person-centred care. Promoting fundamental care as a means of facilitating a holistic approach to prevention and recognition of urinary tract infection helps staff to recognise how they can contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and recognition of sepsis. Challenging assumptions made by staff about the presentation of urinary tract infection is complex and requires education that facilitates 'unlearning' and questioning of low-value practices. Programmes to prevent urinary tract infection need to be co-designed and supported through active and visible leadership by care home managers with support from specialist practitioners. We will focus on co-designing tools that facilitate implementation of our findings to ensure they fit with the care home context and address some of the challenges faced by care home leaders. This will underpin action at care home and system levels. Further research is needed to better understand the perspectives of residents and family carers, the effectiveness of non-pharmacological, pharmacological and specialist practitioner interventions and non-traditional approaches to training and educating the workforce in care home settings. The 2024 Presidential Address. The power of humility.

Physicians generally underestimate their potential to influence social progress, despite substantial precedents for medical professionals leading important societal transformations. The author believes that our times require we challenge the notion that physicians have limited influence beyond clinical settings. Our voice is powerful and important. It needs to be heard. In light of these considerations, the author chose "What Matters" as the theme of the 2024 American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) Annual Scientific Meeting held in Chicago on May 3-6. The topic was reflective of his personal conviction that physicians, by virtue of the public respect and goodwill maintained through their dedication to the art and science of medicine, possess unparalleled potential to enhance both individual and societal health and well-being. The 2024 AANS scientific program committee determined to create an unprecedented program that would allow the community of neurosurgery to engage with some of the greatest minds in American medicine, academics, journalism, technology and public life. All contributors were invited to weave their insights regarding what truly matters into a broad, thought-provoking intellectual and spiritual tapestry. The aim of the article is to identify the strategies utilized by simultaneous interpreters during the interpretation of Donald Trump's inaugural speech from English to Russian, and to conduct a comparative analysis between the translated version and the original text.To analyze simultaneous interpretation, we relied on an official interpretation by skilled interpreters. When conducting a translation comparative analysis, we relied on the classification of V.M. Ilyukhin. Analysis methods encompass theoretical material review, descriptive analysis, a comparative examination of thesource andtarget texts, andtranslation analysis.Theanalysis highlights theuseof various interpretation strategies, with a particular emphasis on thecompression strategy, indicating theintricate nature of interpreting political discourse. Theprevalence of thecompression strategy suggests interpreters' adaptation to therapid pace of speech common in English-speaking political contexts. Thecompression strategy is recognized as a vital tool in theinterpreter's toolkit, falling into thecategory of techniques that interpreters should employ.The theoretical significance of this study lies in revealing the strategies used by simultaneous interpreters in the context of Donald Trump's speech, which contributes to understanding the peculiarities of translating political speechesin the international arena.The practical importance of this study lies in offering guidance and practical skills for translators who deal with political speeches, which helps to improve the quality and adequacy of translation in such contexts.

A Model for Enhancing Organizational Capacity in State Islamic Higher Education Institution Study Programs to Achieve International Reputation

Capacity building in organizations is an innovative strategy aimed at enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and accountability to achieve global recognition. This article investigates organizational capacity building within the Doctoral Study Program in Islamic Education Management at the Postgraduate Program of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, an institution committed to attaining an international reputation. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis, data were gathered through interviews, observation, and documentation. The study reveals that: (1) the development of organizational capacity to achieve international recognition focuses primarily on human resource development and organizational strengthening; (2) visionary leadership is the most crucial factor in reaching international status; and (3) the process of building organizational capacity involves socializing the goals of international recognition, empowering existing resources, managing the transition through the ADKAR Prosci model, and striving to become an internationally recognized Islamic university. These findings suggest that enhancing organizational capacity in an effective, efficient, and sustainable manner can significantly improve the productivity, performance, and accountability of study programs, contributing to their international reputation.

Analyzing Key Barriers to the Success of the Merdeka Belajar Campus Merdeka Program

This study is grounded in the premise that the full implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) strategy has been hindered by challenges related to insufficient human resources and inadequate infrastructure. The research aims to identify the key factors influencing the successful implementation of the MBKM program, with a focus on State Universities in West Borneo. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study gathers data primarily through in-depth interviews. The findings reveal several critical determinants affecting the program's success. These include the commitment and strategic vision of university leadership, the establishment of a dedicated unit to oversee program implementation, strong partner support and engagement, a positive attitude within the academic community towards the MBKM initiative, active and effective participation of program supervisors, proactive and innovative student involvement, contributions from academic staff in administrative roles, the availability of standardized operating procedures, and alignment between curriculum planning and program objectives.

An Analysis of the Synergistic Impact of Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement: School-Based Quality Improvement Management

This research aims to analyze the synergistic impact between school leadership and stakeholder involvement in efforts to improve the quality of education at the Al Hijrah Integrated Islamic Middle School, Deli Serdang. A descriptive quantitative approach was used as a research method, and data was collected using questionnaires from respondents, namely the school principal and all school stakeholders. The results of the research show that school leadership that is synergistic and involves school stakeholders has a great influence on the management of improving school quality. Strong leadership and active stakeholder involvement have a significant positive impact on school-based quality improvement management. Visionary and learning-oriented leadership plays a key role in formulating a shared vision and strategy to improve the quality of education. The involvement of stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the community, provides support, input, and active participation in the implementation of quality improvement programs. The synergy between effective leadership and involving stakeholders can create a collaborative and supportive learning environment. This leads to achieving the goals of better quality education, improving the quality of learning, and holistic development of student potential.
