This study looks at the structural, optical properties, and comparative visible light photocatalytic activity of Ag/Au-TiO2 doped nanotubes and the impact of embedding them in rGO. The studied materials were characterized using XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, BET, Raman spectra, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and open-circuit voltage decay (OCVD), and photocurrent transient response (PCTR). The photocatalytic activity was found to increase in the order TAg,Au/rGO > TAg/rGO > TAu/rGO > TAg,Au > TAg > TAu > TrGO > TiO2 (T). Under optimal conditions, complete MB degradation is achieved in one hour. The kinetics of the photocatalytic reaction followed the first-order relationship. A photocatalytic mechanism has been proposed.
