Simulator of Hydraulic Supercharger Based on Virual Instrument

In order to build a platform for overhaul and simulation training of CCIS (Command Control Information System), the simulation model of the hydraulic supercharger was established. By the model the simulator of hydraulic supercharger was designed and developed based on virtual instrument technology and SCM (single chip microcomputer) technology, the software of the simulator which was designed by the LabWindows/CVI provided a virtual interface and the hardware of the simulator which was developed with the SCM system gave the correct signal. As a result, when the simulator of hydraulic supercharger was connected to the CCIS, the simulation result was realized to be consistent with the real hydraulic supercharger.

Research on Embedded Computer Techniques Used in Agricultural Equipments ATS

VXI or PXI modules based on embedded computers are playing a significant role in test systems for both agricultural and commercial applications. In an Agricultural equipments remote diagnosis and Maintenance ATS (automatic test system), we applied ARM based VXI modules to developing an equipment called Portable Maintenance Aid Equipments (PMAE) as well as an Ethernet-based measurement system which solved a sticking point of this large-scale ATS. The main testing system is designed as a large-scale integrated test system that will perform automatic test for faulty LRUs (Local Replaceable Unit), and faults will be isolated to SRUs (Shop Replaceable Unit). PMAEs could cooperate with the main testing system in realizing remote measurement and control through virtual instrument (VI) technology, thus the localization veracity of faulty LRUs and cables could be greatly improved. ARM based embedded system was used to realize 0－slot controller as well as some dedicated test modules. It could offer maximum performance and the most compact size because they are installed directly into the VXI mainframe. Test results indicated good performance of this scheme, thereby greatly augmenting diagnostic capacity and efficiency of the Agricultural equipments remote diagnosis and Maintenance ATS.

Design of Granary Temperature Monitoring System Based on Virtual Instrument Technology

A hardware and software designing program of temperature monitoring system is proposed in this paper, which takes DS18B20 and single chip microcomputer as the core components. The system measures the real-time temperature, and supports the LCD display. The measured data is transferred to the host computer through RS232 bus. LabVIEW based PC software has data display and storage functions etc. It is verified that the system measurement error is within ±0.5°C. In the practice, the system can meet the needs of granary temperature measurement.

Application of Error Separation Technique on the Virtual Detector of Gear Error

On the foundation of conventional double-flank gear rolling tester, a virtual detector of gear error taking personal computer as the core is developed with the use of virtual instrument technology. Systematic error is analyzed through error separation technique. The structure of the detecting system , the design of the system software based on LabVIEW, and the separation of different radial component deviations of gear are presented.

Design and Application of Virtual Instrument Detection System for Aerodynamic Instrument

Aerodynamic instruments are widely used in various kinds of industrial equipment, which have many types and complex structure. The traditional instrument detection methods require replacing a variety of testing equipment frequently. Their testing efficiencies are low and the testing equipments are hard to be integrated together. Virtual instrument technology is a hot detection technology in recent years with high detection accuracy and integration, which has a good solution to the problems of traditional detection methods. First of all, this paper introduces an overall design scheme for the virtual detection system. Secondly, for properties of longer response time, overshoot, and difficulties in establishing precise mathematical model of the pneumatic control system, this paper uses fuzzy PID control method to control the pneumatic output pressure. Finally, the virtual detection system is realized based on LabVIEW software platform. This system is applied to the detection of fixed-wing aircraft aerodynamic instrument, and has satisfactory results.

Research and Design on Monitoring System of Simple Bridge Based on Virtual Instrument Technology

Design of a monitoring system based on virtual instrument technology for a simple bridge. This paper discusses the bridge monitoring system structure, software and hardware. The system can realize functions such as data acquisition, real-time data display, online analysis, offline analysis, data management and so on. Therefore, the monitoring system can be applied to a variety of bridges. The presented monitoring system has an important guidance meaning and practical value for bridge monitoring.

Implementation of an Intelligent Integrated Detection System Based on Virtual Instrument for Different Missiles

Aiming at the intelligent integrated detection System for test and measurement of many different missiles, utilizing the data acquisition technology, virtual instrument technology and signal analysis technology synthetically, in this paper, we introduced the system architecture and accomplished the hardware design and software implementation. Practical applications of the prototype system have proven that this intelligent integrated detection system has more powerful functions, better interaction and more convenient operation than the traditional automatic test system(ATS), it have met the needs of test and measurement of several different missiles

Multipurpose Detecting System for Automotive Switch Function Based on Virtual Instrument (LabVIEW) and Embedded Technology (ARM)

Contrary to the problem that automobile switches have various kinds and large differences in the structure and performance so that traditional testing methods have been unable to meet the testing requirements of high performance switches, the paper designs a new detection system used to detect the functions of general auto switches which applies the developing environment LabVIEW based on virtual instrument technology and adopts the technology of embedded observe and control system. Using PC as the host computer, the system adopts the LabVIEW8.5 to compile a real-time monitoring system with good human-computer interface; S3C2440-ARM9 processor is used as the main controller of observe and control system in the inferior computer which collects output current signal when the circuit is conducted after switch is pressed. After the coding process of LwIP software protocol and the drive of Ethernet controller DM9000, the signal is transmitted to PC through Ethernet interface. Compared with conventional testing measures, this system greatly improves the real-time performance as well as working efficiency of detecting switch functions and reduces the corresponding human and material resources.

Design of Power Quality Analyzer Based on Labwindows/CVI

The traditional quality analysis system has many disadvantages such as the bulky, expensive, fixed functional modules, poor extension, monotonous display etc. Combined with the virtual instrument technology, the paper propose design ideas of instrument Virtual power quality analysis based on LabWindows/CVI, including design of hardware circuit and software, obtain harmonic amplitude and phase by making use of fast Fourier transform. The analyzer has high accuracy, stable, and good anti-jamming performance, meet the electric power system testing requirements.

Research on the FBG Automatic Testing and Controlling System Based on Virtual Instrument Technology

Most civil engineering structures have long service life and situate in severe environment. So it is the key to carry out testing task continuously according to scheduled demands for the long-term monitoring based on FBG sensing. But the existing instruments cannot satisfy the long-term and remote testing demands. Based on virtual instrument and remote panel technique, the automatic testing and controlling system for FBG sensor array were developed. Modularization programming method was adopted and the control program can be adjusted according to practical demands freely. The testing system can save and figure the results automatically, and it can also discern and process the error signal. These extend and perfect the function of traditional FBG demodulation instrument, and make the testing system more flexible and reliable. It greatly reduces the difficulties in remote and long-term testing task.

The Integrated Testing System for Performance Parameters of the Hydraulic Excavator

This paper designed and developed an integrated testing system for performance parameters of the Hydraulic excavator. Combined with sensing technology, computer technology and virtual instrument technology this system can detect six key parameters of the excavator including motor speed, hydraulic system pressure, attachment action time, swing speed, walking speed, current characteristics, so as to evaluate the performance of the excavator. The testing system takes full consideration of the interaction between the tester and driver, meanwhile, can automatically detect all parameters by using the parallel test method in order to make sure the whole test completed in one hour. As the testing system is designed base on the idea of modularization, it can add new modules to meet the functional requirements alone with the development of research in the future. This testing system can not only improve the test efficiency, but also be used as analysis tools for the research and optimization of performance parameters of excavators.

Monitoring System of Weighing Fruit Grader Based on Labwindows/CVI

For the sake of overcoming the shortcoming of the manual sorting fruit such as inefficiency, inconformity and labor intensity, the weighing fruit grader is designed. The machine is composed of mechanism, computer, data acquisition card, DC PWM system, and pressure sensor. In the system, automatic fruit grading is realized according to the weight measured by pressure sensor. Based on the virtual instrument technology, a humanized human-computer interface is designed by means of Labwindows/CVI. Experiments explain that the precision of the fruits sorting is 96% when the velocity of the transport system is 0.5m/s. The system owns high real-time performance and dependability and it has a good application prospect.

The Research and Development of Automotive Engine Test Platform

This article describes the vehicle based on virtual instrument engine control system research and development of the experimental platform. Virtual instrument technology combined with artificial intelligence inference mechanism for the establishment of a virtual instrument based on the engine electronic control system testing and fault diagnosis system, to achieve the electronic control engine system sensors online test, waveform analysis, data storage, replay and failure diagnosis.

Research on the Multi-Spectrum Imaging System Based on Vision Technology

This paper introduces an acquiring and processing system of a new type of optical spectrometer based on vision technology. It mainly introduces the hardware structure to acquire the spectrums dispersed by the spectrometer, and the multi-spectrum image processing software as well. Of the different spectrum wavelengths ranges from 400nm to 740nm, the system can create both the color image and the 68 channels gray scale image. Virtual instruments technology is introduced into this system and it makes programming easier and faster by combining virtual instrument and vision technology. The programming of the image processing software uses LabVIEW platform.

Design and Simulation of Voltage Fluctuation Rate Monitor System Based on Virtual Instrument Technology*

Electronic power is the most widely used energy, and its application degree has been a mark of country development level. This paper introduces a method of voltage fluctuation rate monitor by using virtual instrument technology. Because virtual instrument technology uses computer own hardware and design graphics procedure frame diagram software to complete, which has many advantages of the simple algorithm and fast speed, etc. Through simulating three-phase voltage of electronic power system, this paper completes voltage fluctuation rate monitor of electronic power system and electronic power quality judgment, as well as verifies accuracy of algorithm diagram procedure.

Development of a Single Sensor Fast Response Probe for the Measurement of Unsteady Flow behind an Axial Flow Rotor

To evaluate the accurate performance and characteristics of turbomachinery, it is important to measure the unsteady flow phenomena downstream of the rotating blades. This paper presents the development of a fast-response total pressure probe and the necessary calibration procedure for the measurement of unsteady flow field at the exit of blades. The fast-response total pressure probe is fabricated by installing a sensor in the cylindrical head of the probe. In terms of simplicity of the measurement system and data reduction method, this method is more competitive over established methods that use multiple sensors. A novel scheme of using fast response probe and virtual instrumentation technology has been successfully implemented in the current programme in place of conventional measurement methods like five-hole probe, three-hole probe and hot wire anemometer. Design of Electronic Power Network Frequency Measurement System Based on LabVIEW Virtual Panel*

Frequency is a standard of electronic power quality, and is important parameter of electronic power system running state. System's frequency reflects active power supply and demand balance's basic state of electronic power system. The frequency fluctuation of an electronic power system is mainly affected by 10s∼3min pulse sub-component load or continuous sub-component in very slowly changing. So, adopting frequency software tracking method is very necessary. Because virtual instrument technology can largely reduce hardware cost in completing frequency tracking, and add instrument flexibility, This system uses virtual instrument LabVIEW to design a kind of frequency tracking measurement frame diagram procedure, and through system simulation, we prove this method of calculating frequency's accuracy by using virtual instrument technology.

Air-condition Control System of Weaving Workshop Based on LabVIEW

The project of air-condition measurement and control system based on LabVIEW is put forward for the sake of controlling effectively the environmental targets in the weaving workshop. In this project, which is based on the virtual instrument technology and in which LabVIEW development platform by NI is adopted, the system is constructed on the basis of the virtual instrument technology. It is composed of the upper PC, central control nodes based on CC2530, sensor nodes, sensor modules and executive device. Fuzzy control algorithm is employed to achieve the accuracy control of the temperature and humidity. A user-friendly man-machine interaction interface is designed with virtual instrument technology at the core of the software. It is shown by experiments that the measurement and control system can run stably and reliably and meet the functional requirements for controlling the weaving workshop.

Design and Implementation of Multifunctional Virtual Oscilloscope Using USB Data-Acquisition Card

Based on virtual instrument technology, a multifunctional virtual oscilloscope was designed by using NI USB data acquisition card and LabVIEW software. Its functions included channel selection, signal adjustment, waveform display, time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, data storage and playback, voltage measurement etc. Compared with the traditional oscilloscope, the designed oscilloscope not only expanded the function, simplified the structure, but also improved economical efficiency. The test practice showed that this virtual oscilloscope had a good performance and a promising application.

Transient Power Quality Signal Generator and Detector Platform

a transient power quality detective platform which includes the disturbance signal's generator and detector is designed based on virtual instrument technology. The platform is developed under LabVIEW environment. It's generator can give the transient disturbance signals according to the standard EIEE1159-1995, such as voltage swells, voltage sags, voltage fluctuation and transient oscillation. The detector uses Hilbert phase-shifting Transform method to realize the real-time detection to the disturbance signals from the generator. The test example shows that the platform for transient disturbance detection is visual and convenient, and the phase-shifting method is effective for transient power quality disturbance signal's detection.
