Regeneration Strategy of Rural Architecture Promoting Tourism from the Perspective of Narrative Architecture

With the rapid development of the construction of beautiful villages in China, traditional settlements of natural growth have been replaced by neatly planned new villages, which seem to improve the living quality of residents but destroy the original village texture. Most of them take advantage of the common cultural tourism development means in China, which leads to other ancient villages scrambling to follow suit and the emergence of thousands of villages and other problems that need to be solved urgently.
 This paper first reviews the development history and operational practice of spatial narrative design, extracts the relevance and transformability between narratology and architecture through theoretical research and analysis, and summarizes the methods of rational use of narrative space organization and arrangement according to different narrative themes. This paper tries to innovate the narrative elements according to the village unit scale, explore a new way of village reconstruction and renewal of narrative architecture, break the situation that the strategy is mostly used for the design of a single building, then by means of an update practice of Jingxing County Lvjia village, summarize the traditional village renewal path under the perspective of narrative architecture.

Digital village construction, human capital and the development of the rural older adult care service industry.

The advancement of digital villages in China is shaped by the degree of human capital within the rural labor force, which not only restricts the potential of digital village but also influences the impact of digital empowerment on the progression of the rural older adult care service industry. Using panel data from 30 Chinese provinces between 2011 and 2020, we created benchmark and threshold regression models to investigate the influence of digital village construction on the development of the rural older adult care service industry and to delineate the threshold effects of human capital on it. We further scrutinized the correlation between the two systems, along with the factors that affect it, through a coupling coordination model. Preliminary, the baseline regression outcomes show that the digital village construction is conducive to the progression of the rural older adult care service industry (p < 0.05). Moreover, we identified a significant nonlinear threshold relationship between the digital village, human capital, and the advancement of the rural older adult care service industry (HUM1ST, p < 0.05; HUM2DT, p < 0.01; HUM3DT, p < 0.01). These results indicate that the digital technology's effect on the development of the rural older adult care service industry is limited by the rural human capital level. Lastly, we found that higher levels of human capital enhance the coupling of the digital village with the rural older adult care service industry (p < 0.01), with the influence of per capita education level being the most pronounced (CoefHUM1 > CoefHUM2 > CoefHUM3). The digital village substantially empowers the rural older adult care service industry, with human capital exhibiting a significant threshold effect on this empowerment. Furthermore, variances in the level of human capital have a considerable impact on the integration of the digital village and the rural older adult care service industry.

Regional unevenness in the construction of digital villages: A case study of China.

In regard to the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization, the construction of digital villages is a crucial development. Because the construction of digital villages is considerably novel, the existing studies mainly focus on the theoretical aspects pertaining to the rational and practical robustness of digital villages, and with regard to regional unevenness, the number of studies that consider the current characteristics, absolute gaps, and impact mechanisms pertaining to the construction of digital villages is insufficient. Based on the regional unevenness that characterizes digital village construction, this study proposes a research framework for digital technology-enabled village construction, which integrates three major factors, namely technology, institutions, and human resources; thus, the comprehensive assessment pertaining to the level of digital village construction is enhanced. This study, which applies the aforementioned research framework, constructs an index system for evaluating the construction level of digital villages, and to reveal the characteristics pertaining to regional heterogeneity and the main influencing factors pertaining to the construction level of digital villages in China (study period; 2015-2020), it utilizes the Dagum Gini coefficient method and the spatial econometric model. Consequently, the researchers observe the following: First, the level of digital village construction in China exhibits a "W-shaped" recovery growth. Second, with respect to the regional level, the eastern region exhibits the highest level of digital village construction, followed by central and western regions; furthermore, we observe that the eastern and western regions account for the greatest intra-regional variation, and that with regard to the overall difference, the inter-regional gap represents the main causative factor. Finally, with regard to influencing factors, technology and innovation capabilities, occupational differentiation of farmers, economic development significantly contribute to the level of digital village construction, whereas fiscal autonomy exerts a significant inhibiting effect. In regard to the level of digital village construction, the research framework and results may provide a novel analytical framework for examining the main sources of regional unevenness, and it may also provide a reference for decision-making, which can influence the construction of digital villages in China as well as in other countries.

Exploring the Level and Influencing Factors of Digital Village Development in China: Insights and Recommendations

Digital rural construction is an important strategy for rural revitalization. In order to improve the precision of digital rural measurement, a set of evaluation indicators for digital rural construction was devised in this study. The study uses the entropy method, kernel density estimation and system clustering to quantify the level of China’s digital rural construction, as well as the Tobit test and other techniques. From the perspective of time series evolution, the construction of digital villages grew continuously, with a peak in 2020. After that, the speed of digital village construction slowed down slightly because of economic changes in both domestic and international environments. In terms of dynamic evolution, the core density curve of China’s digital rural construction shifted to the right between 2011 and 2021, accompanied by gradient influence and a multipolar development trend; local general budget revenue, the per capita disposable income of rural residents, rural infrastructure investment, computer ownership per 100 rural residents, added value of primary industry, education level, and rural power generation are some of the factors that affect the development level of China’s digital countryside. This study is helpful in understanding the influencing aspects of China’s digital rural construction, thereby facilitating the formation of suitable digital rural development strategies in various regions depending on the real scenario.

Examining how internet use and non-farm employment affect rural households’ income gap? Evidence from China

The objective of this study is to assess the effect of Internet use on the income disparity between rural households and to determine how Internet usage can be used to reduce this income gap. We use the Recentered Influence Function Regression (RIF) and data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) conducted by the China Social Science Survey (CSSS) center at Peking University to make the results of regression estimation more reliable. The results reveal that Internet use can make rural households’ income gap shrink considerably, and that the degree of non-farm employment among rural families has a mediating effect between Internet use and the income disparity of farm households. In addition, the Eastern region experiences a stronger mitigating effect from Internet use, whereas ethnic minorities find out no such mitigating effect. This study expands the scope of income disparity theory, provides new ideas for the construction of digital villages, and identifies new empirical evidence and decision-making grounds for improving the livelihoods of rural households and narrowing the income gap between rural households.

Has Digital Village Construction Improved Rural Family Resilience in China? Evidence Based on China Household Finance Survey

The development of digital village construction to improve rural family resilience (RFR) is emerging as a key focus area and target of China’s rural revitalization strategy. However, there is limited evidence available on the impacts of digital village construction on RFR measures. This paper aimed to examine the effect and mechanism of digital village construction on rural family resilience based on the micro panel data of the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS) from 2015 to 2019 to empirically test the effect and mechanism of targeted digital village construction on the resilience of rural family. This research also examined the role of farmers’ entrepreneurial dynamism in the process. Unlike previous studies, we included family welfare into the measurement framework of RFR. Therefore, RFR was represented by the probability that household welfare exceeds a certain standard. The research found that rural communities quickly transformed from one stable state to another when the external shocks exceeded the threshold of rural resilience. The development of digital village construction can effectively reduce the probability of changing the existing steady state when rural families face shocks. At the national level, farmers’ entrepreneurial dynamism had a positive moderating effect on the RFR of the digital village. In the more developed eastern region, digital village construction was relatively advanced and had a significant effect on farmers’ income growth. Conversely, the digital village construction in the central, northeastern, and western regions was less developed; moreover, it had a weaker impact than that in the eastern area. Therefore, the regional reality and gap should be fully considered when constructing a digital village.

Intergenerational Habitat and Memory Transition of Home Town of Overseas Chinese in Southeast China Coastal Region: An Ethnographic Study

At the beginning of the last century, many people in Fujian, Guangdong and other Southeast China Coastal Region left their hometown and worked hard to make a living in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries. Houhuang village, located in Putian City, is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Fujian Province of China. It is known as the “Nanyang style village” of Putian because of its unique architectural style and cultural landscape. Overseas Chinese play an important role in the construction of Houhuang village, and the precipitated overseas Chinese culture has become one of the most unique and distinctive cultural marks. However, in this village, the memory of overseas Chinese is facing the crisis of “being forgotten”, and the fresh memory of overseas Chinese in personal experience is being eliminated from overseas Chinese culture. By ethnographic research methods and discourse paradigms such as oral history and field investigation, this study explores the reasons, and comes to the conclusion that the “forgetting” of overseas Chinese’s memory in the post period is mainly attributed to four aspects: return obstruction, blood dilution, cultural immersion and no way to give back. At the same time, the weakening of overseas Chinese memory has led to three phenomena: the “otherness” of overseas Chinese groups, the “empty generalization” of identity and the “flattening” of overseas Chinese culture. In this regard, the article puts forward reflection and prospect, hoping to record the memory of overseas Chinese through network media and oral history, change the concept of villagers, and let the historical memory of overseas Chinese continue to live in Southeast China Coastal Region.

Research on the value of modern vernacular literature in contemporary rural construction based on ADDIE model

Abstract In order to promote the development of rural construction and optimize the resources of modern vernacular literature, this paper proposes a video teaching resource platform of modern vernacular literature based on the construction of the ADDIE model to analyze the value orientation of modern vernacular literature in contemporary rural construction. Through the ADDIE model structure, the evaluation indexes are divided into target layer A, criterion layer Bn, and sub-criterion layer Cn, and the teaching scoring weights are calculated so as to construct an effective teaching system of modern vernacular literature. The consistency principle of the teaching system is applied to calculate the mutual inverse judgment matrix, and the interval weighting algorithm is used to make the differences between the ranking vectors continuous and, thus, to comprehensively judge the value research orientation of contemporary rural construction. In order to verify the feasibility of the teaching resource platform of modern vernacular literature video built based on the ADDIE model, the teaching practice effect test is conducted on it. The experiment proves: In the significance test, the average score of post-test in village B is 85.9, which is 24.5 points higher than the average score of 61.4 in the pre-test. And the test of equality of variance Sig=0.945&gt;0.05, significance (two-tailed) P=0.004&lt;0.05. It indicates that modern vernacular literature has a stable guiding effect on the construction of contemporary villages and is conducive to the promotion of rural economic development.

HUBUNGAN PARTISIPASI PUBLIK TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN DESA WISATA

The process of public participation involves the general public taking part in decision-making. Policy, strategy, communication, media for social issues, and social treatment all benefit from participation. It is known that a local initiator and members of the community worked together to create the Genilangit Tourism Park in the Poncol District of the Magetan Regency. With this in mind, every activity and program that runs in various capacities must be included in the construction of a public tourism village. The potential for development can be battled for and reaped jointly with the help of the community. In this study, it is determined how public involvement will affect the creation of a tourist village in 2021 in Genilangit Village, Poncol District, Magetan Regency. Because this tourist destination is growing quickly and is in high demand from visitors outside the city, it was chosen as a research subject. An explanatory quantitative methodology was used in this investigation. 100 respondents were given questionnaires to complete in order to gather the research's findings. According to the study's findings, there was a STRONG link between the two variables, with a result of 0.504 indicating that the association's strength was between 0.5 and 0.75. In this instance, it is possible to deduce that Ho is refused whereas Ha is approved, indicating a connection between community involvement and the creation of a tourist town in Genilangit Village., Poncol District, Magetan Regency, 2021.&#x0D;

A survey on the digital skill status of rural elderly groups under the digital village strategy: an example from Sichuan, Gansu and Zhejiang provinces

Digital village is an important task under the deployment of rural revitalization strategy, and an inevitable requirement for building digital China. However, the implementation of digital village is mostly based on macro or regional perspective, neglecting the assessment of digital skills at micro level, which makes it difficult to judge the effect of digital village strategy implementation and improvement routes comprehensively. Therefore, this paper takes the rural elderly digital groups in Sichuan, Gansu and Zhejiang provinces as the research objects, and constructs a digital skills framework for the groups by factor analysis and field research. We explore the direction and degree of their influencing factors through multiple regressions in order to provide suggestions for a feasible digital skills framework and the construction of digital villages.

The Evolution Model of and Factors Influencing Digital Villages: Evidence from Guangxi, China

(1) Background: Digitalization is the key to sustainable village development, posing a new challenge for village planning, construction, and governance in all countries. The construction of digital villages is currently in the stage of experimentation and exploration; China is the largest developing country and a pioneer in the digitization of villages. (2) Methods: Based on a combination of the Boston Consulting Group Matrix and GeoDetector, we conducted an empirical study on 70 counties in Guangxi, aiming to analyze the construction level, evolution model, and driving mechanism of digital villages and to provide a basis for decisions on government investment and social participation. (3) Results: First, Conspicuous disequilibrium in rural digitalization has manifested in Guangxi, and counties at different levels (leader, follower, and straggler) show significant clustering and correlation effects in their geographical distribution. Second, digital village construction in Guangxi has evolves in diversified modes (divided into four types: star, gazelle, cow, and dog), with hot and cold areas forming a center–periphery structure. Third, rural digitalization has a very complex driving mechanism, with high heterogeneity in the direct influencing factors, significant synergistic enhancement of factors, and nonlinear enhancement dominating the interaction’s relationship. (4) Conclusions: According to the results of analysis, we suggest highlighting the government-driven mechanism and regional linkage in the construction of digital villages, formulating differentiated management policies and development plans based on the combination of top-level design and grassroots innovation, establishing joint meetings or development associations and service alliances, and stimulating the enthusiasm of the whole of society, especially farmers and enterprises, in order to achieve rapid and sustainable rural digitalization.

The Impact Factors and Management Policy of Digital Village Development: A Case Study of Gansu Province, China

(1) Background: Along with the maturity of smart cities, digital villages and smart villages are receiving more attention than ever before as the key to promote sustainable rural development. The Chinese government has made great efforts in promoting the digital development of villages in recent years, as evidenced by policies intensively introduced by the central and local governments, making China a typical representative country in the world. (2) Methods: This paper evaluates the performance and geographic pattern of rural digital development by the Geographic Information System (GIS) in Gansu, a less developed province in western China, and analyzes the driving mechanism of rural digital development using GeoDetector, providing a basis for spatial zoning and differentiated policy design for the construction, planning and management of digital villages based on the GE matrix. (3) Results: First, the development of digital villages shows a prominent geographical imbalance, with 79 counties divided into leader, follower and straggler levels. Second, digital villages show unsynchronized development in different dimensions, with the village facilities digitalization index in the lead and the village economy digitalization index lagging behind. Thirdly, the development of digital villages is characterized by significant spatial correlation and spillover effects, with cold and hot counties distributed in clusters, forming a “center-periphery” structure. Fourth, the factors show significant influence differentiation. They are classified into all-purpose, multifunctional and single-functional factors by their scope of action, and into key, important and auxiliary factors by their intensity of action. Fifth, the interaction and driving mechanism between different factors is quite complex, dominated by nonlinear enhancement and bifactor enhancement, and the synergistic effect of factor pairs helps increase the influence by 1–4 times. (4) Conclusions: It is suggested that the government develop differentiated policies for zoning planning and management based on the level of digital development of villages in combination with the factor influence and its driving mechanism and promote regional linkage and common development and governance through top-level design.

Research on the Planning Strategy of Jingzhou Characteristic Villages Under the Background of Rural Revitalization

The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy of rural revitalization, and the construction of beautiful and characteristic villages has entered a new stage. Jingzhou characteristic rural planning as a regional strategy, its purpose is to promote the special process of Jingzhou countryside better, to achieve Jingzhou rural revitalization. Through the analysis of the status quo of characteristic village construction under the background of rural revitalization, the status quo of characteristic village construction in our city, the basic principles and tasks of planning. From the industry revitalization, cultural revitalization, ecological revitalization, talent revitalization and organizational revitalization of five aspects of Jingzhou characteristics of rural planning strategy. Open up a rural development road with Jingzhou characteristics, and enrich the practical connotation of characteristic rural construction.

Study on Rural Planning in Plain and Lake Area from the Perspective of Spatial Resilience

(1) Background: With the economic development and population change, the unique village ecological structure in plain and lake areas is facing various threats. This study aims to explore ways to increase the stability of the rural ecological space and promote the construction and development of green and livable villages from the perspective of spatial resilience. (2) Method: The framework for the assessment of spatial resilience for villages was constructed, the spatial resilience characteristics in Qing Yanggang were analyzed through a field investigation and qualitative analysis, and a spatial resilience planning path for the village in river and lake areas was established. (3) Results: By integrating the natural and artificial elements in rural space, the rural spatial resilience planning can reduce the sensitivity, vulnerability and potential risks of rural areas, which is an important strategy to improve rural sustainable development. (4) Conclusions: For rural areas in plain and lake areas, it is important to optimize rural land use structures, divide rural ecological resilience zones, establish ecological zoning control systems, implement water system connectivity, improve water system patterns to achieve ecological restoration, and implement the adaptive cycle of rural water ecosystem to form a rural spatial resilience planning model. In this way, the Goals n.6 of “Provide Water and Sanitation” of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development can be achieved at the rural scale.

Impact of Digital Village Construction on Agricultural Carbon Emissions: Evidence from Mainland China.

Reducing agricultural carbon emissions is required to reach the goal of carbon neutrality and mitigate the effects of climate change. With the advent of the digital economy, we aimed to determine if digital village construction can achieve carbon reduction in agriculture. As such, in this study, we used balanced panel data for 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020 to conduct an empirical analysis based on measuring the digital village construction level in each province. We found the following: Firstly, digital village construction is conducive to reducing the carbon emitted from agriculture, and the results of further tests showed that the carbon reduction effect of digital villages is mainly based on the reduction in carbon emissions from chemical fertilisers and pesticides. Secondly, the digital village construction has a stronger inhibiting effect on agricultural carbon emissions in major grain-producing areas than in non-major grain-producing areas. The level of rural human capital is the limiting condition for digital village construction to enable green agricultural development; in areas with higher levels of human capital, digital village construction has a significant inhibiting effect on agricultural carbon emissions. The above conclusions are valuable for the future promotion of digital village construction and the design of a green development model for agriculture.

Evaluation of Digital Rural Development from the Perspective of Rural Revitalization – Take Zhejiang Province as an Example

The construction of the digital village is a combination of the concept of digital economy and the strategy of rural revitalization, which requires a correct understanding and scientific evaluation. Taking Zhejiang Province as the research object, based on the actual situation and the connotation of digital villages, a digital village indicator system was constructed from the two dimensions of digital village development capacity and development effectiveness, and the relative entropy TOPSIS method was used to analyze the digital villages in Zhejiang Province from 2016 to 2019. Compare and evaluate the development level. The results show that the development of digital villages in Zhejiang Province has achieved remarkable results, and the development level of digital villages has been improved year by year. Among them, the index scores of industry digitalization, governance digitalization, service digitalization, digital life, agricultural production, farmers’ prosperity, and rural prosperity have achieved stable or rapid growth. The close value of TOPSIS is increasing year by year. Finally, it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of digital villages across the country.

Development of Bali's Traditional Villages with Participation of the Local Community

A region's culture will change as a result of the introduction of a foreign culture. In order to preserve the culture, which is currently being used as a marketing tool to draw tourists to Bali, the community is essential. This study intends to depict community involvement during the construction of a traditional village in the Bali province amid the influx of foreign culture. This study's methodology draws on literary analyses from a variety of sources, including books and the findings of other investigations. The study's findings indicate that the community is development's primary concern and ultimate goal, making community participation a logical outgrowth of this claim. Community participation also fosters a sense of self-worth and the personal capacity to take part in strategic decisions affecting the community's interests. Because development is carried out based on the outcomes of agreements and cooperative performance between customary village officials and indigenous village communities in the region, it will produce a favourable atmosphere for community growth in the area itself.

Parametric Reconstruction of Traditional Village Morphology Based on the Space Gene Perspective—The Case Study of Xiaoxi Village in Western Hunan, China

Traditional settlement space contains regional, natural, economic, historical, and cultural characteristics. The spatial texture serves as a material carrier of rural life and production and a vital landscape resource for the traditional villages. Traditional rural settlements have formed relatively unique and stable spatial form genes over time, which contain the “order” and “law” of spatial creation traditionally established in villages. The metropolis erodes traditional village spaces due to fast socioeconomic development and urbanization. In addition, the lack of adequate recognition and continuation of spatial texture in current mainstream village construction planning methods also limits the ability of villages to adapt to environmental changes and promote self-repair and adjustment, which, in turn, causes the gradual disappearance of their distinctive appearance. The reason is the need for more quantitative research and planning on the genes controlling the evolution of spatial texture morphology in traditional villages. They are faced with issues such as blind construction and development, a fracture in the rural characteristic spatial texture inheritance, and a loss of the distinctive vernacular landscape. Adopting an objective and in-depth approach to the cognition of traditional village space texture is an essential demand for the preservation, optimization, and renewal of the spatial appearance of rural settlements. We use the spatial genes of village settlements as its starting point. It then uses the spatial texture of village settlements connected to gene information mining as its specific method. We investigate the autogenous law of traditional village spatial form and determine its application using the CityEngine parametric platform, digitalization, and 3D visualization as the applied technical means. The feasibility and implementation path of the parameterization technique are explored using the traditional village of Xiaoxi in western Hunan Province as an example. We effectively promote the integration of rural spatial landscape resources, feature assessment, optimization guidance, and management control and provide an innovative research perspective and scientific planning path for analyzing the spatial morphological evolution of traditional villages.

Spatial and temporal evolution and driving factors of county solid waste harmless disposal capacity in China

Currently, China mainly adopts the waste treatment model of “household sorting, village collection, town transfer and county disposal.” Determining the spatial and temporal distribution of China’s county solid waste harmless disposal capacity and formulating strategies according to local conditions are of great significance in promoting the construction of beautiful villages in China and realizing the Beautiful China strategy. This paper explores the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of county solid waste harmless disposal capacity by selecting relevant data from 27 provinces in China from 2006 to 2020, and adopts the Dagum Gini coefficient method to measure the spatial gap of it. In addition, this paper empirically analyses the drivers affecting county solid waste harmless disposal capacity using the spatial Durbin model (SDM). The main conclusions are as follows: 1) In terms of time, county solid waste harmless disposal capacity in China as a whole shows a year-by-year increasing trend, especially after 2018 when the growth rate is faster. 2) In terms of spatial patterns, the solid waste harmless disposal capacity of coastal areas is generally higher than that of inland areas, and the distribution of provinces with low and middle levels of solid waste harmless disposal capacity is characterized by concentrated contiguity. From the perspective of spatial agglomeration, the characteristics of spatial agglomeration in the north are gradually becoming more pronounced, while those in the south are not significant. From the trajectory of the evolution of the spatial center of gravity, the center of gravity of county solid waste harmless disposal capacity as a whole shows a northeast, then northwest, then northeast movement, and the speed of “northward expansion” is greater than the speed of “eastward expansion”. 3) The results of the Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition show that the northeast has the smallest average annual rate of change in the Gini coefficient. The reduction of the within-group gap is an important driver towards equilibrium. The contribution of hypervariable density is decreasing year by year. 4) The number of harmless disposal plants, GDP per person, population urbanization, the number of township waste transfer stations and county waste disposal fixed asset investment are important drivers of county waste harmless disposal capacity. Findings provide helpful insights into optimizing rural habitat and promoting the comprehensive transformation of China’s county development.

The Realization Path of Safe Countryside Construction under the Rural Revitalization Strategy

The revitalization of the countryside cannot be separated from the construction of a safe countryside. Scientifically promoting the construction of a safe countryside, making up for the shortcomings in the supply of public security products and services in rural areas, and solving complex and diverse social security problems can help respond to higher quality security needs and maintain social security and stability in rural areas. At present, the lack of a shared governance pattern, insufficient social participation, and inadequate scientific and technological support are the main practical dilemmas in the construction of safe villages. In response to these dilemmas, the article proposes paths to promote the construction of safe villages by updating the working concept of safe villages, strengthening the resolution of social risks and conflicts in rural areas, and improving the socialization and intelligence of the construction of safe villages.
