IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARINING (PJBL) BERBASIS VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR SISWA

The rapid advancement of technology forces every individual to face increasingly complex challenges. This also has an impact on the world of education, where the ability of learners is developed along with the times. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence and difference in student learning interest using a project-based learning model (PJBL) with the help of interactive learning videos in video editing subjects. The research method used is a pseudo-experimental design with a quantitative approach, and data collection is done through a questionnaire given to 66 grade X students at SMK Darus Syifa in Cilegon city. The results showed that the application of the project-based learning model influenced student interest in learning, and there were differences in the increase in the average percentage of questionnaire scores, where the control class had an average score of 53.26% while the experimental class reached 60.69%. This research is expected to be a learning model in basic video editing subjects and provide benefits for teachers, students, and future researchers.

The Influence of Video Editing Applications in Improving Student Learning Achievement in Fiqh Subjects at MTS MTI Pariangan

This research aims to determine how video editing applications improve learning achievement in Fiqh subjects at MTs MTI Pariangan. This type of research is quantitative and uses experimental methods. The population in this study were all class VIII students. Meanwhile, the sample for this research consisted of 46 students, namely class VIII. 1 (as the control class) and class VIII. 2 (as the experimental class). The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The results of this study show that the average score between the experimental and control classes is different. Namely, the experimental class is 92.3, and the control class is 69.42. Therefore, it can be seen that the experimental class score is higher than the score of the control class students, and after testing, The prerequisite for normality and homogeneity is that the two samples are declared to have a standard or homogeneous distribution so that research can be carried out in the control class and experimental class. Learning using learning videos edited through video editing applications on prostration of gratitude, prostration of recitations and prostration of sahwi is significantly superior to learning using conventional models. Therefore, video editing applications influence improving student learning achievement.

Designing a Business Profile Video to Increase Interest in Cooperation at the Forest Smoothie Company

Forest Smoothie faces challenges in increasing interest in cooperation with potential business partners. This research aims to design a Business Profile Video that can attract attention and increase cooperation interest in a Business-to-Business (B2B) context. The method used in this research is the pipeline method, which includes pre-production, production, and post-production stages. In the pre-production stage, needs analysis and video concept planning were conducted. The production stage involved shooting and audio recording, while the post-production stage included video editing and adding graphic elements. The results showed that the designed Business Profile Video was effective in conveying the company's message, increasing brand awareness, and attracting cooperation interest from potential business partners. Evaluation was conducted through a questionnaire that showed positive responses from respondents regarding message clarity, visual appeal, and increased interest in cooperating with Forest Smoothie.

Exploring best practices in smart public library services: a survey

Purpose This paper aims to the integration of smart cities and technologies has had a profound impact on public library services globally. However, debates continue about how public libraries are incorporating smart technologies and tools, and what this means for their role in smart city development. This paper explores how public libraries are evolving to meet community needs by providing both physical and digital services. Design/methodology/approach The purpose of this study is to assess the role of public libraries in the smart cities and how they are aligning toward development of smart concepts, technologies, services such as contributions to smart city objectives, community impact, the digital divide, unique projects and readiness for future smart city advancements. So, the authors explored 11 public library systems of cities across the world implementing smart city projects. Findings The authors found that all the library systems offer extensive print and digital collections, sustainable buildings and a well-connected network of branches. They provide self-checkout services, makerspaces equipped with 3D printing and coding workshops and advanced recording and video editing technologies. Furthermore, these libraries function as community centers, serving diverse groups including children, women, the elderly and marginalized communities. They function as third spaces that foster lifelong learning and digital literacy. Originality/value Although smart cities face substantial debate regarding their features, tools and feasibility, public libraries have adapted and redefined their roles to become influential public institutions. They now play a crucial part in supporting vibrant and dynamic communities and neighborhoods within smart cities.

Perancangan Company Profile SMKN 3 Kota Solok Menggunakan Macromedia Director

By utilizing multimedia technology, this research has produced an interactive and engaging video profile for SMK Negeri 3 Kota Solok. This video was created using Macromedia Director software. The objective is to increase awareness of the school among prospective students and the community. The video showcases various important information such as available study programs, school facilities, and achievements. With this video profile, it is expected that more students will be interested in enrolling at SMK Negeri 3 Kota Solok. The video production process involved several stages, starting from data collection, video design, to video editing using the software. The final outcome of this research is expected to be an effective promotional tool for the school

Point of Interest Recognition and Tracking in Aerial Video during Live Cycling Broadcasts

Road cycling races, such as the Tour de France, captivate millions of viewers globally, combining competitive sportsmanship with the promotion of regional landmarks. Traditionally, points of interest (POIs) are highlighted during broadcasts using manually created static overlays, a process that is both outdated and labor-intensive. This paper presents a novel, fully automated methodology for detecting and tracking POIs in live helicopter video streams, aiming to streamline the visualization workflow and enhance viewer engagement. Our approach integrates a saliency and Segment Anything-based technique to propose potential POI regions, which are then recognized using a keypoint matching method that requires only a few reference images. This system supports both automatic and semi-automatic operations, allowing video editors to intervene when necessary, thereby balancing automation with manual control. The proposed pipeline demonstrated high effectiveness, achieving over 75% precision and recall in POI detection, and offers two tracking solutions: a traditional MedianFlow tracker and an advanced SAM 2 tracker. While the former provides speed and simplicity, the latter delivers superior segmentation tracking, albeit with higher computational demands. Our findings suggest that this methodology significantly reduces manual workload and opens new possibilities for interactive visualizations, enhancing the live viewing experience of cycling races.

Digital Drone Education in Sarawak: Enhancing STEM Learning through Hands-on Training for School Students

In Sarawak, concerns about low STEM enrolment, digital inclusivity gaps for rural children, and the transition from digital consumption to digital creation led to the introduction of the Drone Education Program. Participants began with foundational drone operation training, advancing to capturing images and videos. Subsequently, they were acquainted with elementary photo and video editing techniques, enabling them to enhance their drone-generated content. The aim of this research is to gauge the impact of the Drone Education Program on refining drone operations, bolstering digital editing competencies, and stimulating STEM engagement in students. In our methodology, we employed tailored pre- and post-surveys for evaluation, and younger students provided feedback via an emoji-based survey. Further analytical methods encompassed non-parametric tests, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), and linear mixed-effect modelling. Results indicated significant post-intervention improvements in the targeted skills. The EFA grouped 21 Likert items into five distinct learning domains. Notable insights include district-wise variances in learning outcomes and the influential role of gender. The initiative showcases promise in confronting Sarawak's educational barriers, championing digital inclusivity, and preparing a digitally proficient generation.

Cut-and-Paste: Subject-driven video editing with attention control

This paper presents a novel framework termed Cut-and-Paste for real-word semantic video editing under the guidance of text prompt and additional reference image. While the text-driven video editing has demonstrated remarkable ability to generate highly diverse videos following given text prompts, the fine-grained semantic edits are hard to control by plain textual prompt only in terms of object details and edited region, and cumbersome long text descriptions are usually needed for the task. We therefore investigate subject-driven video editing for more precise control of both edited regions and background preservation, and fine-grained semantic generation. We achieve this goal by introducing an reference image as supplementary input to the text-driven video editing, which avoids racking your brain to come up with a cumbersome text prompt describing the detailed appearance of the object. To limit the editing area, we refer to a method of cross attention control in image editing and successfully extend it to video editing by fusing the attention map of adjacent frames, which strikes a balance between maintaining video background and spatio-temporal consistency. Compared with current methods, the whole process of our method is like “cut” the source object to be edited and then “paste” the target object provided by reference image. We demonstrate that our method performs favorably over prior arts for video editing under the guidance of text prompt and extra reference image, as measured by both quantitative and subjective evaluations.

A Survey on Video Diffusion Models

The recent wave of AI-generated content (AIGC) has witnessed substantial success in computer vision, with the diffusion model playing a crucial role in this achievement. Due to their impressive generative capabilities, diffusion models are gradually superseding methods based on GANs and auto-regressive Transformers, demonstrating exceptional performance not only in image generation and editing, but also in the realm of video-related research. However, existing surveys mainly focus on diffusion models in the context of image generation, with few up-to-date reviews on their application in the video domain. To address this gap, this paper presents a comprehensive review of video diffusion models in the AIGC era. Specifically, we begin with a concise introduction to the fundamentals and evolution of diffusion models. Subsequently, we present an overview of research on diffusion models in the video domain, categorizing the work into three key areas: video generation, video editing, and other video understanding tasks. We conduct a thorough review of the literature in these three key areas, including further categorization and practical contributions in the field. Finally, we discuss the challenges faced by research in this domain and outline potential future developmental trends. Analisis Proses Produksi Program Siaran Berita Padang Pagi Ini Di Pro 1

This thesis is entitled "Analysis of the Production Process of Padang Pagi Ini News Broadcast Program at Pro 1 Radio Republik Indonesia Padang". The purpose of this research is to find out the production process of the news broadcast program "Padang Pagi Ini" at Pro 1 RRI Padang and to find out the factors that influence the production process of the news broadcast "Padang Pagi Ini" at Pro 1 RRI Padang. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. As a qualitative descriptive researcher, the researcher will only describe the situation or event, not looking for relationships, not testing hypotheses or making predictions. the results showed that the stages of the production process of "Padang Pagi Ini" are the same as the production process of radio programs in general, including: pre-production stages, production stages, post-production stages and factors affecting news production at RRI Padang are human resources, technology, content management, broadcasting regulations, and audience feedback. The production team consists of journalists, reporters, producers, editors, and technicians who have competencies and experience that affect the quality of the news presented. Technology such as digital cameras, video editing software and digital transmission systems facilitate the news production process.

The Intention of the Arabic Language Learning Process in the Era of Society 5.0: (Interactive Application Based Analysis)

The era of Revolution 4.0 which has recently been replaced by the era of Society 5.0 which prioritizes society to use technology in all its activities, including in the field of education. Arabic, one of the foreign languages studied in various educational institutions, is also trying to keep up with the times. One form of breakthrough made by educators is to divert and work on Arabic language teaching materials which were previously in the form of books, modules, and audio into interactive teaching materials designed with modern applications today. This case raises new ideas for the advancement of the Arabic language learning process, so that various obstacles experienced so far can be resolved properly. This study aims to identify and explain the challenges that will be faced by Arabic language educators in the era of Society 5.0 based on interactive applications to create videos of the Arabic language learning process. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach to describe the results of the study at MTs Negeri 1 Bener Meriah. The results of this study are that educators must have special skills to maximize the use of technology in the teaching and learning process, so that more material is created that is understood by students. Video-based compilation of acute pain behaviours in cats.

The aim of this work was to create a video-based compilation of acute pain behaviours in cats as an open-access online resource for training of veterinary health professionals. A database comprising 60 h of video recordings of cats was used. Videos were previously recorded after ethical approval and written client consent forms, and involved cats with different types (eg, medical, surgical, trauma, orofacial) and degrees (eg, from no pain to severe pain) of acute pain, before and after surgery or the administration of analgesia. The database included videos of cats of different coat colours, ages, sex and breeds. Video selection was based on a published ethogram of acute pain behaviours in cats. Videos were selected by one observer (SM) according to their definition and quality, followed by a second round of screening by two observers (SM and PVS). Video editing included a standardised template (ie, watermark and titles). A total of 24 videos (mean length 33 ± 17 s) with each acute pain-related behaviour described in the ethogram were uploaded to an open-access online video-sharing platform (http://www.youtube.com/@Steagalllaboratory) with an individual hyperlink. Videos were provided with a short description of the behaviour for the public. This video-based compilation may promote better training of veterinary health professionals on acute pain assessment while improving feline health and welfare and the understanding of cat behaviours.

Edit Temporal-Consistent Videos with Image Diffusion Model

Large-scale text-to-image (T2I) diffusion models have been extended for text-guided video editing, yielding impressive zero-shot video editing performance. Nonetheless, the generated videos usually show spatial irregularities and temporal inconsistencies as the temporal characteristics of videos have not been faithfully modeled. In this paper, we propose an elegant yet effective Temporal-Consistent Video Editing (TCVE) method to mitigate the temporal inconsistency challenge for robust text-guided video editing. In addition to the utilization of a pretrained T2I 2D Unet for spatial content manipulation, we establish a dedicated temporal Unet architecture to faithfully capture the temporal coherence of the input video sequences. Furthermore, to establish coherence and interrelation between the spatial-focused and temporal-focused components, a cohesive spatial-temporal modeling unit is formulated. This unit effectively interconnects the temporal Unet with the pretrained 2D Unet, thereby enhancing the temporal consistency of the generated videos while preserving the capacity for video content manipulation. Quantitative experimental results and visualization results demonstrate that TCVE achieves state-of-the-art performance in both video temporal consistency and video editing capability, surpassing existing benchmarks in the field. Pemberdayaan Masyrakat dalam Pengembangan Desa Wisata Berbasis Digital di Desa Gogik Kabupaten Semarang

Gogik is a village that has two hamlets, Gogik and Gintungan hamlets. Gogik Village is located in West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency, Central Java. The area of Gogik village is around 18,000 m2, with the border of the village area from the north namely Candirejo Village, east of PTPN IX, south of Gebugan Village, and west by Langensari Village. The climate of Gogik village is at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level with an average daily temperature of 27, so the atmosphere is very cool. Gogik Village is a village with a lot of potential in nature, culture and traditions that are still maintained today. As for one of the natural potentials that exist in the village such as: Semirang waterfall, Embung Sukoponco, Kebon Nutmeg PTP Ngobo, local food from Gogik Village, and of course the panoramic view of the foot of Mount Ungaran, as well as several other potentials. The potential is very much, of course, efforts are needed to optimize it to support Gogik Village as a digital-based Tourism Village. POKDARWIS is one of the tourism-aware organizations in Gogik village, with quite good community participation, but still not supported by qualified skills in using IT to promote the village's potential. This is certainly an obstacle in the development of digital-based tourism villages. Therefore, the UNNES service team will collaborate with the POKDARWIS institution (Tourism Awareness Group) Gogik Village, West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency to optimize regional potential through various kinds of digital-based tourism promotion training, production and packaging of regional specialties so that they can be used as souvenirs, utilization of drone media and video editing for promotion of Gogik village tourism. With innovation and creativity in promoting the natural potential that exists in Digital-based Gogik Village, it can have a big impact on improving the welfare of the village community. The output targets of this service are articles published in journals, articles published in mass media and activity videos.

Improving AI-assisted video editing: Optimized footage analysis through multi-task learning

In recent years, AI-assisted video editing has shown promising applications. Understanding and analyzing camera language accurately is fundamental in video editing, guiding subsequent editing and production processes. However, many existing methods for camera language analysis overlook computational efficiency and deployment requirements in favor of improving classification accuracy. Consequently, they often fail to meet the demands of scenarios with limited computing power, such as mobile devices. To address this challenge, this paper proposes an efficient multi-task camera language analysis pipeline based on shared representations. This approach employs a multi-task learning architecture with hard parameter sharing, enabling different camera language classification tasks to utilize the same low-level feature extraction network, thereby implicitly learning feature representations of the footage. Subsequently, each classification sub-task independently learns the high-level semantic information corresponding to the camera language type. This method significantly reduces computational complexity and memory usage while facilitating efficient deployment on devices with limited computing power. Furthermore, to enhance performance, we introduce a dynamic task priority strategy and a conditional dataset downsampling strategy. The experimental results demonstrate that achieved a comprehensive accuracy surpassing all previous methods. Moreover, training time was reduced by 66.33%, inference cost decreased by 59.85%, and memory usage decreased by 31.95% on the 2-task dataset MovieShots; on the 4-task dataset AVE, training time was reduced by 95.34%, inference cost decreased by 97.23%, and memory usage decreased by 61.21%.

Utilization of Adobe Creative Cloud Media to Support Project-Based Learning for Internship Students in the Digitaliz Unit at the Hasnur Centre Foundation

Adobe Creative Cloud is a comprehensive suite of applications offering advanced tools for graphic design, video editing, animation, photography, and web development. This study aims to explore the utilization of Adobe Creative Cloud in supporting project-based learning (PjBL) at Hasnur Centre Foundation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research, which includes observation, interviews, and documentation during the internship program held from February 28 to March 17, 2024. The internship program involved 61 students from Global Islamic Boarding School, who used various Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition in their projects. The results showed that the use of Adobe Creative Cloud enhanced students' creativity, collaboration, and material understanding. In conclusion, Adobe Creative Cloud is effective in supporting PjBL and increasing student motivation.

How persuasive are political cheapfakes disseminated via social media? The effects of out-of-context visual disinformation on message credibility and issue agreement

ABSTRACT Although extant research offered first insights into the effects of visual disinformation, we know markedly little about the effects of cheapfakes that rely on the deceptive re-contextualization of authentic visual materials disseminated via social media. Against this backdrop, we rely on online experiments (N = 874) and (N = 733) in which we exposed representative samples of participants to different types of (visual) disinformation in which the out-of-context presentation of visual material was central. Our findings indicate that cheapfakes based on video editing are not more credible than textual or image-only visual disinformation, while disinformation in general can lower support for a delegitimized politician. As a key contribution, we show that when cheapfakes are endorsed by other online users, they can mislead people and therewith succeed in delegitimizing targeted political actors, although richer modalities used in cheapfakes do not amplify deceptive content’s impact.

ChineseMPD: A Semantic Segmentation Dataset of Chinese Martial Arts Classic Movie Props

Recent advances in computer vision and deep learning techniques have facilitated significant progress in video scene understanding, thus helping film and television practitioners achieve accurate video editing. However, so far, publicly available semantic segmentation datasets are mostly limited to indoor scenes, city streets, and natural images, often ignoring example objects in action movies, which is a research gap that needs to be urgently filled. In this paper, we introduce a large-scale, high-precision semantic segmentation dataset of props in Chinese martial arts movie clips, named ChineseMPD. Specifically, this dataset first establishes segmentation rules and general review criteria for audiovisual data, and then provides semantic segmentation annotations for six weapon props (Gun, Sword, Stick, Knife, Hook, and Arrow) with a summary of 32,992 objects.To the best of our knowledge, this dataset is the largest semantic segmentation dataset for movie props to date. ChineseMPD dataset not only significantly expands the application of traditional tasks of computer vision such as object detection and scene understanding, but also opens up new avenues for interdisciplinary research.

Sign language literary translations: linguistic, dramatic and technological aspects

The research reported here considers how norms of Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) literature (Sutton-Spence, 2021) operate with deaf translation norms (Stone, 2005) and literary translation norms (Toury, 1995) to create some potential norms of deaf literary translation. Presenting some considerations upon the concept of the “visual” in Libras literature and translation, we draw upon translations in three different genres of literature, made by three deaf translators, to understand better the key multimodal relationships between signed literature, written texts, images and video editing in literary translation. Analyzed in terms of the linguistic, dramatic and technological elements (Bartolomei; Perreira, 2021), we show how the translations create acceptable target language texts by focusing on the visual esthetics of the texts.

How to Develop an Online Video for Teaching Health Procedural Skills: Tutorial for Health Educators New to Video Production.

Clinician educators are experts in procedural skills that students need to learn. Some clinician educators are interested in creating their own procedural videos but are typically not experts in video production, and there is limited information on this topic in the clinical education literature. Therefore, we present a tutorial for clinician educators to develop a procedural video. We describe the steps needed to develop a medical procedural video from the perspective of a clinician educator new to creating videos, informed by best practices as evidenced by the literature. We also produce a checklist of elements that ensure a quality video. Finally, we identify the barriers and facilitators to making such a video. We used the example of processing a piece of skeletal muscle in a pathology laboratory to make a video. We developed the video by dividing it into 3 phases: preproduction, production, and postproduction. After writing the learning outcomes, we created a storyboard and script, which were validated by subject matter and audiovisual experts. Photos and videos were captured on a digital camera mounted on a monopod. Video editing software was used to sequence the video clips and photos, insert text and audio narration, and generate closed captions. The finished video was uploaded to YouTube (Google) and then inserted into open-source authoring software to enable an interactive quiz. The final video was 4 minutes and 4 seconds long and took 70 hours to create. The final video included audio narration, closed captioning, bookmarks, and an interactive quiz. We identified that an effective video has six key factors: (1) clear learning outcomes, (2) being engaging, (3) being learner-centric, (4) incorporating principles of multimedia learning, (5) incorporating adult learning theories, and (6) being of high audiovisual quality. To ensure educational quality, we developed a checklist of elements that educators can use to develop a video. One of the barriers to creating procedural videos for a clinician educator who is new to making videos is the significant time commitment to build videography and editing skills. The facilitators for developing an online video include creating a community of practice and repeated skill-building rehearsals using simulations. We outlined the steps in procedural video production and developed a checklist of quality elements. These steps and the checklist can guide a clinician educator in creating a quality video while recognizing the time, technical, and cognitive requirements.
