Gender Equality in Indigenous Peoples in Indonesia (Challenges and Efforts Towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals)

Objective: Gender equality is an important issue that the government frequently overlooks. Gender equality does not imply that women must be equal to men, but rather that women have the same rights, responsibilities, and opportunities as men in various fields. The facts show that Indigenous Women, as marginalized people, continue to face various injustices and discrimination in various parts of the world, including Indonesia. This paper attempted to analyze various problems and efforts to achieve gender equality for indigenous women in Indonesia in accordance with the principles agreed upon by Indonesia in the Sustainable Development Goals in 2030. Method: This study is a type of descriptive qualitative research in which various qualitative data obtained from the study literature were examined and then described descriptively in order to reach a conclusion. Result: The results of the study concluded that gender equality, particularly for indigenous women in Indonesia, had not been properly implemented because the division of inheritance, position, and political rights of indigenous women in various regions of Indonesia had not shown justice. Indonesia also still has some unresolved tasks until now, for example, the policy of strengthening international principles to protect indigenous peoples and indigenous women such as the principle of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) and the Ratification of the Bill on Indigenous Peoples which is expected to accommodate indigenous women's rights in Indonesia. Conclusion: Based on the discussion above, it can be concluded that gender equality has not been properly implemented in Indonesia, particularly for indigenous women, because research findings show that the division of inheritance, position and political rights of indigenous women in various regions of Indonesia has not received justice. Indonesia also has several responsibilities that have yet to be completed, such as policies to strengthen international principles to protect indigenous peoples and indigenous women.

ARTICLE REVIEW: The Influence Of Climate Change On Rice Production And Cultivation Patterns In Indonesia

Climate change is marked by deviations in the conditions of several climate elements, whose intensity tends to change and deviate from dynamics and average conditions towards a certain direction (increasing or decreasing), whether occurring naturally or potentially occurring more rapidly due to human activities. Climate change is the biggest threat to agrarian countries in the world, including Indonesia. Agriculture is a part of national food security, so climate change will impact production stability because plant growth and development activities heavily rely on climatic conditions. El Nino is estimated to affect harvest yields on at least 25% of global agricultural land. Characteristics of El Nino, such as its intensity, will result in the severity level of global climate impacts. Based on the conducted review, it is understood that climate change indeed significantly influences many aspects, particularly in the field of agriculture (specifically the rice commodity). The impacts of reduced production and changes in rice planting patterns have been felt in various regions of Indonesia.

Analysis of factors affecting organic rice exports in Indonesia

The market opportunities from organic farming which are getting bigger globally are being utilized by farmers in various regions in Indonesia and have succeeded in cultivating organic rice and have quite wide market coverage even abroad. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the volume of organic rice exports in Indonesia. The results of multiple linear regression prove that the domestic price of organic rice, the international price of organic rice and the dollar exchange rate against the rupiah influence the volume of organic rice exports in Indonesia. The price of organic rice, both domestic and international, has a negative effect on organic rice exports. Meanwhile, the dollar exchange rate against the rupiah has a positive effect on organic rice exports. The policy implications based on the research results are (a) Seeing the research results showing that the price of domestic organic rice has a negative and significant effect on organic rice exports, the government must maintain prices (inflation), especially the price of domestic organic rice. (b) When the rupiah depreciates, organic rice exports will increase, but exchange rate stability must be maintained by the government. So the increase in organic rice exports is the result of increased rice production, not just the exchange rate.

CH4 and N2O emissions and their potential control by rice biomass biochar: The case of continuously flooded paddy fields in Indonesia - A review

Methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) are the two most important greenhouse gases (GHG) from flooded paddy fields in Indonesia. This review aims to characterise CH4 and N2O emissions from flooded paddy fields by published data analysis and to examine the potential of biochar from rice straw (RSB) and rice husk (RHB) to mitigate the emissions in Indonesia. A comparison of various box-plot datasets of CH4 emissions showed that the different types of flooded paddy field soil cause varying amounts of CH4 emissions from various regions in Indonesia. Sequentially, CH4 emissions of flooded paddy fields from highest to lowest are Alluvial of Kalimantan and Sulawesi, Andisols of Java, Ultisols of Sumatra, Alfisols of Java and Bali and Inceptisols of Java and Bali, with a mean of 1062, 505, 446, 135 and 64 kg ha-1 season-1, respectively. The organic amendments application combined with chemical fertilisers is the principal driver of anthropogenic CH4 emissions from paddy fields. However, N chemical fertiliser application contributes only about 0.37% of the N2O flux, 0.69 kg ha-1 season-1. The produced biochar number was insufficient effectively to reduce CH4 and N2O emissions, at least 20 tonnes ha-1 year-1, in addition to the pyrolysis process to produce biochar, releasing CH4 emissions. Yet, with its recalcitrant properties and continuous application, RSB and RHB potentially reduce CH4 and N2O emissions from paddy fields.

INCREASE INTEREST VISITING TOURISM IN KUNINGAN REGENCY

Kuningan is a beautiful mountainous area and a tourist destination from various regions in Indonesia and abroad. One of the managers of tourist attractions in Kuningan Regency is the Regional Company of Various Businesses (PDAU). However, the number of visitors from time to time has decreased. This research was conducted to determine people's interest in visiting tourist attractions managed by PDAU. The number of respondents used in this study was 150 people. This research is descriptive quantitative using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) operated through the AMOS program. The results of direct influence research that advertising and innovation partially and significantly affect competitive advantage. Advertising, innovation and competitive advantage partially and significantly affect visiting interest. Indirect testing that advertising on visiting interest through competitive advantage variables has an effect. Innovation on visiting interest through competitive advantage variables has an effect. The implication of this research is as a reference and input so that PDAU conducts promotions through regular advertising and collaborates with related parties and makes updates/ innovations to tourist attraction facilities according to the needs of the community so that they become superior to other tourist attractions so as to increase visiting interest.

Development of Low-Speed Generator for Rural Energy Self Power Plant

This study investigates the potential for wind energy generation in various regions of Indonesia, which have been identified to potentially produce over 100 megawatts (MW) of electrical energy. In response to the need for rural electrification and the utilization of this wind potential, we developed a low-speed generator suitable for rural, energy-independent power plants. The objectives were twofold: to design a low-speed generator optimized for low rotational speeds reflective of local wind conditions, and to assess its performance in electricity generation. Our research methodology encompassed an analytical comparison of exploratory data and literature to devise a generator design compatible with rural wind patterns. This involved calculating the necessary wind acceleration to actuate the designed generator. Subsequently, a prototype was designed, constructed, and tested, examining variables such as iron core composition, winding wire, magnetic strength, and electrical output under wind-driven conditions. The performance tests revealed that the Low-Speed Generator produced an average voltage output scaling with rotational speed–from 5.3V at 100rpm to 21.1V at 500rpm. The peak voltage output at 500rpm rotation reinforces the generator’s efficacy in higher rotational regimes. Such findings advocate for the Low-Speed Generator’s application as a sustainable solution to the rural energy crisis, aligning with the broader objectives of equitable energy distribution and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Disclosure of genetic diversity of mackerel fish (Scomberomorus spp.) in Indonesian waters based on the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit II (COII) gene.

Mackerel fish (Scomberomorus spp.) represents a significant marine fisheries commodity in Indonesia, characterized by its high commercial value and nutritional content. To understand the intraspecific interactions and genetic variability of Scomberomorus spp., a more extensive research of Scomberomorus spp. populations, including both cultivated and wild specimens, is required. This study aimed to explore the genetic diversity of mackerel fish in Indonesian waters, focusing on the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) cytochrome oxidase subunit II (COII) gene, which encodes the second subunit of cytochrome c oxidase (complex IV), is essential for aerobic respiration and energy transformation. Muscle tissue samples from 18 individual mackerel fish collected from various regions in Indonesia, including Palembang, Cilacap, Rembang, Banjarmasin, Ambon, and Fak-Fak Regencies, were utilized. The genomic DNA was isolated and amplified using specific primers: CO2TF (5'-ACCGCTCTGTCACTTTCTTC-3') and CO2TR (5'-ATGTCACTAAGGGTGGTTGG-3'). Subsequently, the obtained amplicons were subjected to sequencing. The sequence data were then analyzed using the MEGA11 and DnaSP 6 software. Our findings revealed 120 variable sites within the 691 base pairs of mtDNA COII sequences, resulting in a nucleotide diversity (Pi) of 0.07169. Furthermore, we identified eight haplotypes, demonstrating a haplotype diversity (Hd) of 0.8889. Remarkably, all mackerel samples from Palembang and Cilacap clustered into discrete haplotypes, specifically haplotype 1 and haplotype 2, respectively. Our phylogenetic analysis delineated three distinct clades. Clade I, closely related to Scomberomorus cavalla, encompassed all individuals from Ambon, Palembang, Rembang, and one from Banjarmasin. Clade II, associated with Scomberomorus niphonius, included individuals from Cilacap and two from Banjarmasin. Clade III, linked to Scomberomorus semifasciatus, exclusively consisted of individuals from Fak-Fak (Papua). In conclusion, Indonesian waters harbor diverse genetic variations within Scomberomorus spp., and population relationships based on the mtDNA COII gene exhibit notable complexities. Future research endeavors should focus on further elucidating the diversity and relationships among Scomberomorus spp. in diverse Indonesian populations.

This research focuses on analyzing the Policy Formulation for the through a Study of Strategy, Planning and Priority Scale and obtaining alternatives/recommendations for good problem-solving. The theory of public policy formulation is a way to solve a public problem and overcome existing public problems from several alternatives. Alternative problem-solving is selected using SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). The analytical tool used in this research is a SWOT analysis approach.In contrast, the approach used is descriptive, namely collecting data through a perspective on a critical documentation approach. This research concludes that the planning for developing the Singhasari special economic zone(SEZ)is through the SO (Strength, Opportunities) Strategy, namely creating employment opportunities supported by the surrounding areas covering education and human resources. As well as the WT (Weaknesses, Threats) strategy, namely increasing the attractiveness of the Singhasari Special Economic Zone to foreign investors by making investment easier. Al-Jam'iyatul Al Washliyah is an Islamic educational institution in Indonesia that was founded in 1952 in Medan, North Sumatra. This institution was founded by Haji Mohd Arsyad Al Banjari to spread Islamic teachings and strengthen Muslim identity in Indonesia. Al-Jam'iyatul Al Washliyah has several branches in various regions in Indonesia. Through field study with phenomenological research, Al Washliyah was founded during the Dutch colonial period to unite Muslims and fight for Indonesian independence. They have a high commitment to education, establishing schools, and madrasas, and forming the Education, Teaching and Culture Council. This research will focus on the dynamics of the Al-Washliyah educational institution in the past, present, and future so that it can show the results of intellectual exploration among Islamic scholars (Ulama) and intellectuals regarding the dynamics of Islamic education in the classical and contemporary periods in Indonesia. This research is limited to the development of the Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Educational Institution in North Sumatra, from 2016 to 2022 in 3 Districts/Cities and history by focusing on their Ideology, Educational Typology, and Problems.

Penerapan Senam Kaki Pada Penderita Diabetes Mellitus dalam Upaya Pencegahan Komplikasi Diabetes pada Kaki (Diabetic Foot)

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a disease that is increasing every year in countries around the world. Reports from various regions in Indonesia show that the incidence and complications of DM are widespread, making it a national problem that requires more attention. A frequently encountered complication of DM is diabetic foot, which can manifest as ulcers, infection and gangrene. Actions to treat diabetic foot include preventive measures which include foot care education, diabetic shoes and foot exercises. Foot exercises are exercises carried out by DM sufferers and non-sufferers to prevent injuries and help improve blood circulation in the legs. Apart from their role in providing health education, nurses as members of the medical team can also play a role in teaching foot exercises so that DM patients are able to do foot exercises independently. Objective: To increase the knowledge and skills of DM sufferers by implementing foot exercises in an effort to prevent diabetes complications in the feet (diabetic foot). Method: Foot exercise activities are carried out on DM sufferers who do not have wounds on the feet. The methods used were lectures, questions and answers, and direct demonstrations using newspapers. Results: The results of the activities obtained were an increase in knowledge before and after providing counseling and demonstrations of foot exercises for DM sufferers. Conclusion: After carrying out this community service, the community's ability to do foot exercises has increased and can be done independently, so it is hoped that this can prevent complications in DM sufferers.

Greening is very influential in maintaining the balance of the environment, where the activities currently carried out are planting trees in an effort to preserve the environment, Pakuncen Village is a village located in the western part of Bojonegara Subdistrict which has a population of ± 3,444 people flanked by 2 villages and borders Pulomerak Subdistrict and Cilegon City, Pakuncen Village area reaches ± 400.04 Ha. Pakuncen Village during the day is very hot and arid because the mountains around the village have been expolarized using heavy equipment to be taken and sold in various regions in Indonesia, therefore the surrounding environment becomes hot and arid. Through Community Service activities KKM 21 UNIBA students and DPL Lecturers and PkM Lecturers held activities according to the work program of greening activities in Pakuncen Village, wood seeds obtained from the Banten Provincial Environment and Forestry Service which will be planted in Pakuncen Village in an effort to preserve the environment, especially Pakuncen Village, Bojonegara District

EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY'S UNDERSTANDING REGARDING ILLEGAL ONLINE LOANS ACCORDING TO A SHARIA ECONOMIC LAW

This research aims to explore the public's understanding of illegal online loans from the perspective of Sharia economic law in Muara Sugih Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. Illegal online lending has become a serious problem in various regions of Indonesia, with significant economic and social impacts. Especially in the context of rural communities such as Muara Sugih Village, where limited access to information and legal regulations can be a risk factor. This research uses a qualitative approach with interview, observation and document analysis methods to collect data from the local community. The results of this research indicate that the majority of the people of Muara Sugih Village have limited understanding about illegal online loans and their lack of knowledge about Sharia economic law. Factors such as urgent economic needs and the lack of halal financing alternatives influence participation in illegal online lending. To increase public understanding, efforts that need to be made include education about Sharia economic law, the risks of illegal online loans, and financing alternatives that comply with Sharia principles. Local governments and social institutions can also play an active role in providing training and education to the public about the negative impacts of illegal online loans as well as solutions that are in accordance with religious values ​​and Sharia economic law. With a better understanding of this issue, the people of Muara Sugih Village can make wiser decisions in managing their finances in accordance with the principles of Sharia economic law.

Revitalizing Distance Learning: MOOC For Improving The Quality of Training for Civil Servants

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a widespread impact on the education and training sector. Central Java, a province with training management resources, is experiencing a crisis in training management today. The large number of training participants from the state civil apparatus (SCA) who come from various regions in Indonesia requires innovation and change despite the various limitations of managers who do not have a special education base. Training managers at BPSDMD for SCA training need to be strengthened by developing distance learning through MOOCs because it can overcome the problems of distance, time, and financing to organize training that is usually done offline. This MOOCs will also increase the trust of other government agencies by making BPSDMD a pilot local government-based MOOCs developer. This service is carried out through mentoring and training that focuses on improving the resources of training managers at BPSDMD Central Java Province. This training and mentoring activity was attended by 38 BPSDMD employees with an In-House Training scheme for two days. As a result, there was an increased understanding of MOOCs and its application, designing training programs, presenting training materials, and evaluating training programs. The skills of the trainees can be seen from the portfolios collected. This service is useful in developing BPSDMD training programs for SCA in Central Java.

Application of Markerless Augmented Reality on E-Catalog of Car Variations Using Natural Feature Tracking

Information technology is widely used by business people in promoting the products and services they sell, this is very important especially for businesses that sell products that are not common, for example car variations. Car variation business is already widely found in various regions in Indonesia, but the car variation business has a relatively small and specialized market. The main cause is the lack of promotion of product knowledge to the public and the lack of interesting and practical forms of promotional media that make car variation products rarely seen by vehicle owners. Therefore, in this study, attempted on the application of augmented reality technology into the e-catalog application of car variations using the natural feature tracking method to help the visual augmentation process of car variation products that want to be seen as a form of promotional media for car variation products in general, the e-catalog itself were made using unity engine. From this research, the results obtained are: the application of augmented reality was successfully carried out on the Android e-catalog application, the attractiveness of the application display with a good indicator of 100%, the attractiveness of augmented reality with a percentage of 88.9% on good indicators and the appropriateness of application development with a percentage of 100% on good indicators, these result are obtained from questionnaires that are distributed to both coworker and random users as sample.

Cultural Perceptions of Santri on Arabic Language Learning

The study delves into the perceptions of santri concerning Arabic cultural elements in the teaching of the Arabic language within Salafi Pesantren. Employing a qualitative approach, the research investigates how santri perceive the significance of Arabic cultural values in the learning process and the broader implications for multicultural understanding. Data were gathered through interviews and questionnaires distributed to 42 respondents across 16 Salafi pesantren institutions in various regions of Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi. The findings reveal that santri generally recognize the importance of incorporating Arabic cultural elements into the language-learning process, as it aids in comprehending both the Arabic language and its cultural nuances. Some aspects of Arabic culture are perceived by santri as integral to Islamic teachings, influencing distinctive practices in their clothing and physical appearance. Despite these unique practices, the santri, living in a multicultural society, choose to integrate their daily lives with other communities, fostering harmony and embracing the multicultural diversity present in Indonesia. This study contributes valuable insights into the intersection of language learning, cultural values, and multicultural coexistence in the context of Salafi Pesantren education.

ISLAM AND CULTURAL LOCALITY OF NYEKAR TRADITION IN INDONESIA

Nyekar or commonly known as cemetery pilgrimage is a culture in Indonesia that is frequently carried out by the Javanese community. It involves scattering flowers on graves and praying collectively. Nyekar is done to remind people of the inevitability of death that will eventually befall all living creatures in the world. This research focuses on the history of the tradition of pilgrimage or nyekar in Indonesia, the tradition of nyekar itself from an Islamic perspective, and the purpose of the pilgrimage tradition in various regions of Indonesia. The aim of this research is to understand the history of the emergence of the pilgrimage tradition in Indonesia, to understand pilgrimage according to Islamic views, and to understand the purpose of pilgrimage in several regions in Indonesia. This research uses secondary data such as journals, articles, and other relevant sources. The study was conducted by collecting data from written sources related to the research topic. However, some of the main issues in this research are still based on empirical answers found in the study. The results of this research indicate that the nyekar tradition was formed due to the cultural acculturation of Islam, Javanese, and Hindu traditions. In the Islamic view, cemetery pilgrimage or nyekar was initially forbidden as a form of worship but later encouraged in religion. The purpose and goals of cemetery pilgrimage differ from each individual, depending on their beliefs and intentions.

The Application of Weighted Ranking Method Using Combination of ROC and CPI to Select Eligible Family for Keluarga Harapan Program Aids

The Keluarga Harapan Program (KHP), a financial assistance, is a program launched by the government to deal with poverty in various regions of Indonesia by conducting direct surveys and collecting data on disadvantaged families in each region. However, the issue is that many recipients do not meet the appropriate criteria or are not categorized as recipients. The Composite Performance Index and Rank Centeroid algorithms are a solution in the selection process for the recipients for the KHP by carrying out the analysis and comparison stages of whether they are categorized as KM (Disadvantage Families) through several stages. The results obtained based on analysis for recipient selection with a minimum performance index coverage value of 70% can be categorized as eligible to receiv assistance. In this study, 50 KM data samples were taken with the highest assessment value 128.41. In the top tenth ranking of the highest score from the 50 data held indicated that they were truly entitled to receive PKH KM financial assistance. Before using this method, only around 40% was eligible recipients.

Religious Education Learning Practices Based on Local Wisdom in Islamic Schools

This article describes the implementation of local wisdom-based learning in Antawirya Elementary School, Krian, Sidoarjo, East Java. The rise of schools that carry modern concepts i.e. integrated schools, international standard schools in their education has marginalized the local culture of Indonesia. Not only that, the majority of the younger generation has forgotten, not even knowing the local fairy tales and traditional games. In this context, Antawirya Krian Elementary School (SD) has a moral responsibility to develop the concept of learning based on local wisdom. This school rebranded itself as Islamic Javanese School. This is unique because local wisdom is the brand of the school and differentiates it from other schools. Through field research and data collection using documentation, observation and deep-interview, the findings of this article show the local wisdom carried by this school to practice traditional game-based learning and habituation to the local language, namely Javanese. In addition, learning based on local wisdom is able to increase the love of the homeland to learners. That's because the module “dolananku” presents a variety of traditional games that come from various regions in Indonesia. Thus, students know that their country, Indonesia has a variety of cultures that produce diversity.

The central government created an electronic business-oriented service system to overcome the problem of slow licensing services in various regions in Indonesia as well as improving public services in processing business permits. The problem currently being experienced by the East Kalimantan Province DPMPTSP is how to arrange permits from business actors who want to upload files and check if there is an error in uploading the business permit. The aim of this research is to create a website that can be used. business actors to upload a permit to carry out the desired business. The process of creating a website involves several tools and code languages ​​that are used, namely: php, xampp, phpmyadmin, mysql, database, website. The result is a website with various features, such as login page, dashboard, profile, user management, upload files, supporting files, and scan files. From the results of the discussion and data obtained, we can conclude that students who undertake internships directly in the world of work can gain more knowledge, understanding and knowledge.

This research was carried out in order to find out the potential for utilizing wind energy as a source of electrical energy in Indonesia. The purpose of this analysis refers to the application and development of the potential use of wind energy as a source of electrical energy in various regions of Indonesia. Like in the rice fields of Blang Krueng Village, Baitussalam District. This research is a qualitative descriptive design method through analysis, identification and exploration of previous findings. The subject targeted for this research is the use of wind energy as a source of electrical energy in various regions of Indonesia. The objects of this research are journals and articles. Briefly, the results of this research show two categories. first analysis of the categories of application of wind energy as a source of electrical energy in various regions of Indonesia.
