By looking at the opportunities and potentials of resources both natural and man-made, if managed and developed and marketed properly, especially with technological advances and marketing 4.0, it can have a good impac on the economoy and existence of Kertarahayu Village. Marketing is the most important yhing in running a business from the small sector, marketing is the most major thing, with such a background.

Education on Clean and Healthy Lifestyle and Use of Masks in the Praingu Prailiu Tourism Village, East Sumba

A tourist village is a rural area that has a variety of tourist attractions. One of the tourism potentials that is the center of attention of tourists is the tourism potential on Sumba Island. One of the tourism potentials in East Sumba is Raja Prailiu Village, which is located in Prailiu Village, Kambera District, East Sumba Regency. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of tourists, both domestic and foreign, has decreased so that the income of people in the area has decreased. The government is currently preparing to develop a strategy to change the status of the Covid-19 pandemic to endemic. This was welcomed by the local community so that preparations were needed to support the government's discourse. The purpose of this activity is to provide education about clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) and how to use masks as an effort to prepare for the reopening of tourist villages in the area. This community service method involves 35 weavers and is implemented in the Traditional Village of Praingu Prailiu Village. The results of this activity increased the knowledge of respondents about clean and healthy living behavior and how to use masks properly and correctly. In conclusion, after giving lectures / counseling as many as 71.4% of respondents have good knowledge about a clean and healthy lifestyle, and 100% of respondents understand how to use masks properly and correctly.

One of the areas in Indonesia that has many cultural elements is Tanah Datar Regency in West Sumatra. Tanah Datar has a variety of cultural attractions, Basa Pagaruyung Palace which is pagaruyung kingdom for example, there is also a Kerbai or Sapi Racing Cultural Tradition commonly called Pacu Jawi. Minangkabau tradition that uses cows or buffaloes in the pacu Bersama with the intention of being grateful for sustenance and expecting blessings. This attraction is done in muddy land or large rice fields and is done during the harvest season. Tanah Datar Regency has a variety of tourist attractions, especially the iconic one in Tanah Datar Regency is Pacu Jawi, where this attraction is very popular with many circles and tourists. Especially from the photography side who judged that "can not be said as a photographer if not passed photographing the attraction Pacu Jawi". Factors Affecting the Success of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) in Homestay Form

Homestay is one of the government tourism policy for community to operate and promote the strength of a community and generate additional income. Not all communities are succeed. Thus, this study attempt to determine which factors affecting the success of homestay operating. The objectives of this article are to analyze the management of homestay, to identify the behavior of consumer, and to determine the factors affecting the success of homestay. The analysis is based on the theory of sustainable tourism management and uses the Homestay Standard Thailand Assessment Principles of the Department of Tourism as the frame of reference. The primary information was obtained by interviewing leaders and representatives of all 123 homestays that applied for the assessment and certification of the Homestay Standard Thailand in 2017–2018. The analysis is performed upon the results of descriptive statistics and mean analysis using t-test. The results show that the community-run homestay businesses in Thailand of 123 homestays mostly have been in operation for more than 3 years and they are located in 50 provinces with a total of 895 homestay units capable of accommodating 8,832 tourists per day. Thai tourists averagely 215,327 in number each year stay overnight at homestays, generating a total of 24,617,140 baht of local income. Most of them come in a group (5 or more persons) and their main travel objective is to get an understanding about the community way of life or to participate in the tourism/cultural activities/events organized in the community. As for foreign tourists, 51,947 in total number each year spend the overnight stay the certified homestays, generating 7,354,126 baht of local income. Most of them are traveling alone or with an acquaintance/family to learn about culture, traditions, ways of life, and wisdom. The success of homestay depend on: (1) the good homestay management and arrangement, apart from the homestay having been in this business for a long time, in terms of adequate accommodation units, the serving of local foods and dishes, a standard security system in place, friendliness of the host and his/her family members, and the availability of interesting organized tours, which have led to an increase in the number of lodgings in this community enterprise; (2) the arrangement of learning activities, performing arts and cultural shows, and story-telling through various interesting forms of presentation, which have attracted more tourists to visit the community; and (3) the reasonable price for tourism and homestay services, for example, an averagely 747 baht per person for one overnight stay, three meals, and attending the learning activities, considered worthwhile for tourists’ traveling to visit the community. The key factors contributing to the highly successful homestays are the more of accommodation units which means they have a good management in operations, the variety of tourist attractions, and the high number of tourists staying which means the popularity of that homestay. Persepsi Wisatawan Terhadap Kelestarian Lingkungan Di Kawasan Punclut Bandung

Bandung is one of the best tourist destinations in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Bandung has its own charm as a tourist spot with a variety of tourist attractions ranging from natural, culinary, heritage and cultural tourism. Tourism supports 40% of Bandung City's Regional Revenue and one of the tourist areas is Punclut. At first Punclut area was a green hills. Since the 1990s, there have been many travelers go to Punclut just to exercise in the morning. Now, there were more and more travelers with varied purposes, like for having meals or just hang out. Slowly, more and more commercial buildings were built in this area. Most of the designation is for restaurants. This conditions of course has an impact on the ecology of the area. Therefore, the authors conducted a study to determine an environmental sustainability in the Punclut area through the perceptions of tourists who have come to Punclut. The research was conducted using a qualitative method by conducting literature studies and distributing digital questionnaires through the Google Docs application. The results showed that environmental sustainability in the Punclut area was perceived by tourists who had visited there as "moderate" with a "good" tendency.

Tourism Development and Border Asymmetries: An Exploratory Analysis of Market-Driven Cross-Border Shopping Tourism

ABSTRACT This paper explores whether shopping tourism in the context of cross-border regions may trigger more viable, and long-term, tourism despite persistent border asymmetries (e.g. price and tax differences) which are typically key to luring tourists to short-term shopping visits. While tourism development is often an explicit goal of cross-border policy initiatives, this paper is devoted to the market-driven processes that might drive tourism beyond short-term shopping in borderlands. Based upon a case study from the Norwegian-Swedish border region of Østfold-Fyrbodal, it finds that asymmetric cross-border shopping tourism supports the development of a diversified tourism sector with a variety of tourist attractions and services organised around shopping, longer overnight stays and second-home tourism. Despite persistent border asymmetries, market processes may balance off the short-term shopping visits towards supporting long-term tourism, which provides economic value to the cross-border region.

ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION ON COMPETITIVE EXCELLENCE TO IMPROVE ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE ( CASE STUDY ON THE ATTRACTIONS OF BUKIT PANEMBONGAN VILLAGE TEMBONG KUNINGAN REGENCY)

Tourism is one of the uses of natural resources that can have high economic value for regions that manage natural resources into tourist attractions that can attract visitors both from within and outside the country. In addition, tourism also has an influence on Regional Original Revenue (PAD) for Local Governments. Kuningan Regency is one of the areas in West Java which has a variety of tourist attractions. One of the leading tourist objects is Panembongan Hill Tour. Panembongan Hill Tourism has potential that needs to be developed. With the existence of competition, the panembongan hill tourism is faced with various opportunities and threats both from outside and from within the country. Based on a survey conducted there was a decrease in the number of visitors during the opening of new tourist attractions, therefore this study was conducted to determine the effect of Information Technology and Innovation on Competitive Advantage to Improve Organizational Performance in Panembongan tourist attractions. The population in this study visitors come to tourist attractions in Panembongan which are domestic tourism and foreign tourists. The number of samples used was 150 respondents. The data collection method is done through a questionnaire method. This study uses structural equation medeling (SEM) analysis techniques using the AMOS 2.1 analysis tool.

Assessment of Dark Tourism Awareness in Youtube Social Network

This paper deals with dark tourism, as fast-developing phenomenon and a form of alternative tourism, which is defined as visiting real and artificial places of disaster, exile, poverty and death. Dark tourism does not come into existence without social media, which is commonly understood as a set of web applications that allow users to publish and share content online and is associated with international brands. One of the most popular social networks is YouTube, which captures millions of viewers. Therefore, the scientific problem arises that thanks to YouTube social media platform travellers can gather information and experience from others to widen their knowledge, but it’s not clear how dark tourism is rated and assessed on YouTube. The research aim is to assess dark tourism in the social media platform YouTube. The research object is dark tourism in the social media platform YouTube. An empirical study has shown that in order to attract more tourists to visit dark tourism sites through social networks, the technical elements of video production, their content and image quality have to be carefully considered as it is important for the viewers. Respondents were interested not only in the videos about dark tourism, but also in written or spoken information, with particular emphasis on completeness, not just the musical background. Good quality and informative footage on YouTube encourage more interest in the object being seen and lead to a desire to read comments and ratings from other active social network members. The YouTube network is well-suited to promoting a variety of tourist attractions, as it is easily accessible and at no cost. Some respondents emphasized and did not change their opinion even after the discussions that the term ‘dark tourism’ itself is macabre and unattractive and only referred to it as a new trendy word.

Optimization of City Bus Routes in Surabaya Using Memetic Algorithm as a Solution to Solve Orienteering Problem

The city of Surabaya is the largest metropolitan city in East Java and has a variety of tourist attractions that can be visited, such as shopping centres, theme parks, monuments, museums and historical places. As the second largest city in Indonesia, Surabaya has not escaped from traffic jams. Congestion is aggravated by the number of tourists out of town visiting the city of Surabaya using private vehicles. The Surabaya City Government seeks various ways to reduce traffic congestion, such as improving public transportation facilities and services in the city of Surabaya and increasing public awareness of the importance of using public transportation. To support this, a service is made that aims to optimize the selection of travel routes to various tourist objects in accordance with the time availability of tourists. In this research, the selection of city bus lines is seen as orienteering problem (OP). The city bus line used is as many as 10 routes. To find the optimal solution, Memetic Algorithm is used as a form of development of Genetic Algorithms. The addition of local search in Memetic Algorithms aims to find optimal solutions more efficiently. The local search algorithm that will be used is Hill Climbing and Simulated Annealing. Completion of OP problems is implemented using the Java programming language by comparing the results of the completion of three algorithms used, namely Genetic Algorithm (GA), Hill Climbing Memetic Algorithm (HCMA), and Simulated Annealing Memetic Algorithm (SAMA) using the best parameters of each algorithm. The results of the trial show that SAMA can provide the best fitness value solutions from HCMA and GA. So that SAMA can be said to be very feasible to be used to solve the OP problems in determining the optimal path using public transportation for city buses in Surabaya.

ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN OBYEK WISATA TERHADAP PENDAPATAN MASYARAKAT (STUDI PADA PENGEMBANGAN OBYEK WISATA KAMPUNG WARNA-WARNI DI DESA JANJU KECAMATAN TANAH GROGOT KABUPATEN PASER)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the development strategy of Janju Village Colorful Village attractions in increasing people's income. This research method uses descriptive quantitative. While the technique for analyzing data is a SWOT analysis. The tourism development strategies obtained are: (1) Improving the quality of barcode scanners by utilizing the location of strategic tourism objects and the use of information technology. (2) Increasing the presence of tourism conscious groups by utilizing strategic locations. (3) The government supports increasing tourism promotion for tourism development. Tourism activities give direct results or indirect results for the surrounding community in the Colorful Village attractions, namely: (1) for the community will open jobs. (2) for the community will open opportunities for employment that is not directly related to the tourism sector.(3) For villages it will increase the source of village income. (4) infrastructure development. Suggestions that can be submitted for this study are: (1) Tourism management managers improve the quality of barcode scanners by bringing up a variety of tourist attractions offered on tourism objects, not just showing maps of tourist attractions.(2) The Department of Youth, Sports and Tourism disseminated to the community and young people in Janju Village to actively participate in the Tourism Awareness Group to improve the development of Colorful Village tourism objects.(3) The importance of the tourism sector to the regions makes the government aware of the importance of the sector, the government can support tourism sector activities by giving funds through the use of budget allocation funds.

Pemetaan Lokasi Wisata Di Kota Cirebon Dengan Penerapan Aplikasi Sistem lnformasi Geografis

Tourism in the city of Cirebon is still tinged with a very diverse religious tour and culturation of culture that is still heavily influenced by Persia, Arabia and China. This can be seen from the palace architectural style which is still influenced by Chinese, Persian, and even Arabic cultures. The results of cultural culture with foreign nations, resulting in a variety of tourist attractions in the city of Cirebon. But the location information of the existence of tourist attractions in the city of Cirebon is still not well publicized. This research will develop an application by utilizing the geographical information system of tourist attractions in the city of Cirebon. The Geographic Information System is very appropriate to map the spread of tourist attractions in the city of Cirebon. The software development model in this study is the system life cycle or the System Development Life Cycle. The results of this study are the value of T count> T table (3,230> 1,665). This means that the probability is significant> α (0.002 <0.05). So that geographic information systems mapping tourist attractions in the city of Cirebon can meet expectations by users to find the shortest routes and safer locations.

Geography of fear: fright tourism in urban revitalization

ABSTRACT Urban centres encompass a variety of tourist attractions. To expand these offerings, the opportunities must recognize the temporal and spatial constraints of travel. Temporally a night-time economy can fuel visitation and has traditionally been centered on entertainment, food and drinking establishments. The former has broad appeal to all visitors while the latter are more attractive options for the young and fearless. Spatially, to attract a broader audience of visitors, one most overcome the fear of the night so important in family friendly opportunities. Following the examples in several cities, the commodification of dark tourism themes has been shown to encourage family visitation, despite the macabre theme of the attractions. For the purpose of this study, an assessment of common fears is asked of night-time tourists as they prepare to enter an urban haunted attraction. The attraction is promoted to scare the guest but at the same time, expected to be safe. In this manner we begin to understand the dual nature of fear (i.e. repel vs attract) evident in night-time tourism experiences.

Pengembangan Pariwisata Kawasan Gede Bage Berbasis Ekowisata

Bandung provides a variety of tourist attractions, such as culinary arts, theme parks, and shopping destination. The city is developed into a city of technology or technopolis which is located in the southern part region, called Gede Bage. Thus, to maintain the natural environment in the technology-based development area, the city also encouraging eco-tourism activities. Hence, the purpose of this study is to identify the concept of eco-tourism in accommodating the impact of technopolis development. The approach adopted in this study was comprehensive policy analysis approach that examined the norms imposed in developing the city and tourism. The norms consist of regulation, strategies, planning documents, law and other related policies. The results show that the existing facilities at technopolis area are potentials to be developed as eco-tourism attraction. Furthermore, competent human resources have played as an important role to succeed the Bandung Technopolis area as eco tourism attraction.

RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI OBYEK WISATA BERBASIS WEB MENGGUNAKAN METODE USER CENTERED DESIGN (UCD)

The development of today's technology has been developing very rapidly and carry a very big change because with the technology information can be obtained quickly, accurately and not limited by time and place. One o f the growing sectors in technology development is in the field of tourism which contributes to distribute information about the attractions more interactive, especially through Internet technology. Yogyakarta has a variety of tourist attractions that are so beautiful, but not many people know the various tourist attractions in the area. Information on tourist places will be known if given a forum to exchange information on the matter in the form of a website. In order to generate tourism website in accordance with the wishes of users, the necessary methods of User Centered Design (UCD) based to the user. It is intended to provide information for tourists so it will be easier to plan excursions according to what they want without hesitation choose the desired attraction. Tourism information system was built using PHP as a programming language and MySQL as a database manager. This information system design using the UCD that engage users by providing input in the form of a questionnaire. This information system contains the profiles sights, means of transportation used and distance traveled. Other facilities that can be enjoyed for information about travel agents who can serve a trip out of town, and the inn (hotel). To implement this system needs the previous test program testing and system testing and then be evaluated. The information system created is a system that is capable of displaying objects on the map and provide information on the map if the object is selected, the user can view more detailed position of an object to be searched. For site owners can perform additional object data without having to perform the construction site from scratch, in this case both the data on a map or information. By making this system the objects displayed on the map always updates that facilitate and assist the user in doing excursions in Yogyakarta.

How do Saudi Arabians Perceive the Egyptian Tourist Destination through Drama and Films?

The aim of this study is to measure the immediate impacts of a film on the perceptions and behavioral aspects of the Saudis relating to the Egyptian tourist destination. The methodology of the research is a survey. Data was obtained through questionnaire conducted among a random sample of students of Saudis. The survey was conducted by one field researcher between January 15 and March 20, 2016/17. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed only to those who agreed to respond to the survey either electronically using Google form and through Saudi Arabian airlines office at Hail city. Out of 250 questionnaires distributed 28 were inadequate and thus rejected from the study. As a result, there were only 143 usable questionnaires for data analysis was accepted for the purpose of final analysis, representing a response rate of 57%. There is no statistically significant difference between gender, age except the first reason, social status, qualification and position except the fourth reason regarding reasons for watching Egyptian drama. There is a statistically significant relationship between their perception about (the level of cleanliness, the Egyptian people, means of transportation, the atmosphere in Egypt, the existence of natural landscapes in Egypt; variety of tourist attractions; historical and cultural sites; Restaurants; shopping centers; the standard of living in Egypt) and the level of watching Egyptian drama and films. There is statistically significant contribution for the motivations four and five in predicting the perceived image. The other motivations do not have any effect of the perceived image.

STUDI KELAYAKAN EMBUNG SANGUREJO SEBAGAI ASET WISATA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEREKONOMIAN MASYARAKAT DESA WONOKERTO, KECAMATAN TURI, KABUPATEN SLEMAN, YOGYAKARTA

In Indonesia, tourism has become one of the most important sectors of the economy. The government is aware of this so they are trying to develop tourism seriously. Things that can add value to the attractiveness and competitiveness of tourism are the creativity and spirit of society. One of the tourism potential in the form of artificial objects that can be utilized by the community for purposes of irrigation but also as a tourist attraction is embung. Wonokerto is one of the villages in Sleman area that has built an embung, but not yet used it as a tourism asset. Realizing the potential of Embung Sangurejo in Wonokerto Village, a feasibility study of the embung is required. The analysis used in this research is SWOT analysis. This analysis found the way of Embung Sangurejo development as a tourism asset to improve the welfare of the people of Wonokerto Village which is directed at the efforts for more and more tourists coming. In addition, length of stay is increased by creating a variety of tourist attractions, such as rosulan, manakiban, pencak silat, and others.

Development of tourism in Indonesia is in line with the government program to promote tourism as an addition to foreign exchange outside the non-oil sector. One area in Indonesia which has a variety of tourist attractions that the island of Rote. Natural attractions on the island of Rote has many interesting panorama, as a unique tourist attraction. Promotion strategies can be used as a tool to market their tourism products in the form of natural attractions, arts and culture are an excellent product and all the tourism potential that is in place. The research objectives: 1) To describe the profile of nature, art and culture of the island of Rote, 2) To determine the model Rote Island tourism marketing through<br />promotional strategies of natural attractions, art and culture. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using a case study approach regarding the promotion strategies of natural attractions, art and culture of the island of Rote. The research used the ethnographic approach. Ethnography is an empirical and theoretical approaches that aim to get a description and a thorough analysis of culture based on field research (fieldwork) intensive. Sources of information in this study consisted of four people, namely, Head of Promotion, Head Attractions, Head of Culture and Head of Bina Sarana. A Study on Mediterranean Tourism Impact Analysis by Specific Events using Photo Sharing Website

Due to the variety of tourist attractions, many people of the world are visiting annually in Mediterranean area. In this paper, we analyze Mediterranean tourism impact by specific events such as the Arab Spring. In details, we make several density maps based on the position and time information of the geo-tagged photos extracted from Panoramio which is a representative photo sharing website. These density maps should be used to analyze how can specific events affect on Mediterranean tourism. POTENSI DAN PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT SERTA WISATAWAN TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN EKOWISATA DI DESA AIK BERIK, LOMBOK TENGAH

Aik Berik village has a wide variety of tourist attractions. This research is aimed at identifying potential ecotourism attractions, activities that could be developed in and around the village. In addition, it will investigate perceptions of local communities and tourists concerning the village’s potential development as an ecotourism destination. The supporting data in the research were collected through qualitative observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were obtained through purposive sampling for the local communities and convenience sampling for the tourists. It was analysed using a descriptive, qualitative method. This analysis has revealed both positive and negative perceptions among local communities and tourists in response to the potential development of ecotourism.
