A Practical Study on the Integration of Excellent Traditional Culture into Senior High School Class Management

With the continuous development of economic globalization, the inheritance and promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture has become an important part of the current national development strategy. In this context, as an important place and carrier for cultivating outstanding talents in the new era, senior high school integrates traditional culture into class management has become an important direction for school development, which plays a positive role in promoting the development of the era and improving the comprehensive quality of students. Therefore, this paper mainly starts with the connotation and characteristics of traditional culture classics, in-depth analysis of the value of excellent traditional culture in class management work, and discusses the practice path of integrating excellent traditional culture into high school class management, and puts forward corresponding practice methods for student management work, which is only for the reference of relevant people.

DAMPAK PENGEMBANGAN EKOWISATA DI SEKSI WILAYAH III TANJUNG HARAPAN TAMAN NASIONAL TANJUNG PUTING TERHADAP SOSIAL BUDAYA MASYARAKAT DESA WISATA SEKONYER

This study aims to identify and analyze these impacts using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that ecotourism activities have a positive impact on the local community. First, ecotourism increases community knowledge and insight into environmental management and sustainability-based tourism potential. Second, community awareness of local natural and cultural wealth is increasing, encouraging the preservation of traditional cultural values. Third, the social status of the community increases through active participation in tourism activities. Fourth, it also has an impact on foreign language skills, especially English, as a need for interaction with tourists. Fifth, community empowerment can be seen from the emergence of new economic opportunities, such as homestay management, local crafts, and tour guide services. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between ecotourism managers, the government, and the community to maintain long-term benefits for the sustainability of ecotourism and the welfare of the local community.

Analysis of Aesthetic Education Elements and Values in Chinese Classical Music

In the profound heritage of Chinese culture, classical music occupies an important place, reflecting its unique aesthetic education value. Through consulting relevant literature and adopting the research method of historical and cultural analysis, it is found that Chinese classical music, with its inherent musical beauty, guides people to pursue noble, harmonious and profound emotions, and realizes the education of beauty. A deeper analysis shows that the concept of "harmony" in Chinese classical music, the harmony of music music, as well as the depth and breadth of music all actively shape peoples aesthetic values and personality characteristics. To a certain extent, this improves the individuals sentiment cultivation and spiritual pursuit, and deepens the individuals understanding and praise of the value of the excellent traditional Chinese culture. The results play a strong role in further exploring the educational value of Chinese classical music and incorporating it into aesthetic education.

The Ideas of the May Fourth Movement and Their Critics

The article provides an analysis of the main ideas put forth by intellectual leaders of the May Fourth Movement, with a focus on the writings of Hu Shi and Chen Duxiu. These leaders advocated for China’s modernization, promoting the abandonment of traditional Chinese cultural values in favor of adopting European models of development. Their views gained significant influence among the Chinese intellectual elites of the time. Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge the existence of dissenting voices who argued for the preservation of traditional Chinese culture and its values. Interestingly, some of these critics, such as Gu Hongming and Yan Fu, were highly educated in Western culture and science themselves. They presented alternative viewpoints that challenged the notion of Westernization as the only path to modernization. Gu Hongming, in particular, recognized the multifaceted nature of Western modernity and offered a comprehensive critique of Western civilization. This perspective resonated with other Chinese critics who believed that modernization should not be equated solely with the adoption of Western values and ideals.

Human Potential of the Constitutions of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China

The article describes the issues of preserving and strengthening traditional cultural, spiritual and moral values implemented in the constitutions of BRICS countries on the cases of Russia and China. Russian Constitution with its amendments of 2020 aims at constitutionalizing cultural and moral values, implementing them to the current legislation, and creating economic, political and social conditions for their enforcement. Also, the article examines the activities of non-governmental organizations in the People’s Republic of China with the focus on their contribution to preservation and amplification of cultural and moral values enshrined in the Constitution of China.

DIGITAL VISUAL ART AS A SOCIAL INTEGRATOR

This article examines the evolving role of digital art as a social integrator, with a particular focus on the digital art scene in Kazakhstan. Art has long sought to create emotional and spiritual balance, mediating between contrasts like past and future, reality and dreams, and internal and external worlds. Today, with the rapid development of technology and globalization, art increasingly engages with digital media to perform its communicative and harmonizing functions. The work of contemporary Kazakh digital artists, such as Danabol Birlesbek and Magnificum, addresses significant social issues, including national identity, domestic violence, and environmental concerns. Through their art, these creators provoke reflection on the rapidly changing society in Kazakhstan. Additionally, the article explores the innovative approaches taken by multimedia exhibitions, such as those at Lumiere-Hall in Almaty. These exhibits merge traditional art with new media, transforming the experience into something more immersive and interactive. For instance, the exhibition Salvador Dali. Cryptography blends recognizable Dali imagery with symbolic and interactive digital elements, requiring viewers to actively interpret the narrative rather than passively observe. The article also highlights the work of Nargis Rakhmanova and other Kazakh artists who use digital art as a bridge between traditional cultural values and contemporary social issues. These artists contribute not only to the development of art but also to public discourse on topics such as gender, identity, and family dynamics. By incorporating modern technology into their practices, Kazakh digital artists play a crucial role in shaping the country's cultural transformation and fostering deeper societal dialogue.

Sustainable development goals, culture and advertising: tracing the roots to stride forward

PurposeGrowing concern about sustainability, which focuses on the triple bottom line, namely people, planet and profits, must integrate with local culture to ensure inclusive growth. Localized advertising themes adapted to suit a country’s culture borrow from that country’s culture. Global advertising themes, on the other side, influence and modify the existing culture of a nation. The present study looks at the potential of using traditional Indian sustainable themes to promote sustainability as a way of life, which can be used to craft advertising messages that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs).Design/methodology/approachA content analysis of 395 advertisements displayed on Indian television during primetime has been done. Data have been analyzed using descriptive statistics.FindingsThe findings reveal that 4 SDGs (achieve gender equality, ensure affordable and clean energy, ensure good health and well-being and promote industry, innovation and infrastructure) out of a total of 17 SDGs find a place in 395 advertisements. They mostly appear for beauty and personal care products and automotive. Depictions of a frugal lifestyle, natural/green surroundings and women empowerment in advertisements “together” exemplify opportunities to use culture creatively in crafting advertising messages.Research limitations/implicationsAs the multinational companies embrace the trends towards globalization in advertising, they can also extend the traditional cultural values and lifestyle from a country like India, which tremendously and conspicuously contribute to sustainability to appeal “differently” to buyers. It would offer an opportunity to synergize the growth outcomes in a thoughtful manner.Originality/valueThis is an original piece of research, as no such study has already been conducted in India (to the best of researchers' knowledge).

The Dynamics of Citizenship Education in the Context of Political Reform

Algeria's political transitions, marked by constitutional amendments in 2016 and 2020, have sparked efforts to integrate democratic principles and civic values into educational frameworks. This study examines the dynamics of citizenship education in the context of Algeria's political reforms. The research explores citizenship education's role in fostering civic participation and aligning educational content with national democratic aspirations. The methodology employs a mixed-methods approach, conducted throughout 2023, involving 500 respondents, including educators, policymakers, and students from diverse locations such as Algiers, Oran, Constantine, Tlemcen, and Setif. Quantitative surveys assess perceptions and effectiveness, while qualitative interviews and focus groups provide deeper insights into stakeholders' experiences and expectations. Findings reveal that citizenship education in Algeria demonstrates significant potential in promoting civic engagement and aligning with democratic ideals. However, challenges persist, such as balancing traditional cultural values with modern democratic principles, ensuring adequate teacher training, and addressing political constraints that hinder open dialogue. The discussion highlights the need for a comprehensive curriculum, participatory teaching methods, and a political environment conducive to civic learning. Future research could explore sector-specific impacts of citizenship education and the long-term outcomes of integrating democratic principles into curricula. These insights could guide policymakers and educators in designing more effective educational reforms tailored to Algeria's unique socio-political context.

Cultural Ideology of Nguyen an Ninh

Objectives: To explore Nguyen An Ninh's contributions to Vietnamese philosophy, particularly his cultural ideology, which merges national traditions with global ideals to meet the socio-historical needs of late 19th and early 20th century Vietnam. Methods: Analyzing Nguyen An Ninh's philosophical perspectives and cultural ideology within the context of Vietnamese history and the global intellectual currents of his time. Results: Nguyen An Ninh's cultural ideology is identified as a synthesis of traditional Vietnamese cultural values and emerging global ideas. It played a pivotal role in shaping the ideological framework for the proletarian shift in Vietnam during the near-modern period. Conclusion: Nguyen An Ninh's philosophy, especially his cultural ideology, acted as a significant bridge facilitating Vietnam's transition toward modern ideological trends, reflecting both national and global influences.

Educating Traditional Cultural Values In Sustainable Development for Students Through Current World Cultural Heritage in Vietnam

Objectives: The aim is to focus on educating traditional cultural values in sustainable development for Vietnamese students through world cultural heritages in Vietnam in order to raise awareness, patriotism, national pride, and awareness of preserving traditional cultural values. Material and methods: The study uses two main methods: theoretical research and practical research, which focus on observation and experiments to evaluate the overall data. Results: The research results show that education through world cultural heritage is highly appreciated in terms of content and methods to help students understand history and culture more deeply, forming a positive lifestyle and developing students' awareness and courage. The research results show the role of combining and strengthening practical activities at heritage sites, organizing seminars, and using modern technology to improve the quality of heritage education for Vietnamese students in universities in Vietnam today. Contribution: Understand the need to enhance the combination of practical activities at heritage sites, organize seminars, and use modern technology to promote traditional cultural values in sustainable development by improving the quality of heritage education for Vietnamese students in universities today.

Young university students’ cultural values, filial obligation norms, and ageism toward older people

AbstractThe present study examined Turkish young university students’ cultural values and filial obligation norms in association with their ageism toward older people. Participants (N = 369) completed scales measuring relatedness and autonomy values, filial obligation norms, prescriptive intergenerational‐tension ageism, ambivalent ageism, warmth and competence stereotypes toward older people, and frequency of intergenerational contact. Multiple hierarchical regression analyses showed that relatedness values were negatively associated with succession prejudice; and positively associated with benevolent ageism and competence and warmth stereotypes. Relatively authoritarian filial obligation norms were further negatively associated with consumption prejudice, and positively associated with benevolent ageism and competence and warmth stereotypes. Finally, mediation analyses showed that relatively authoritarian and emotional filial obligation norms explained the indirect association between the variables, the former for benevolent ageism and competence and warmth stereotypes; the latter for warmth stereotypes and frequency of intergenerational contact. The present study suggests that young people's relatively traditional cultural values and hierarchical familial norms play a role in their positive prejudice and stereotypes whereas relationship‐oriented cultural values and emotional familial norms play a role in their warmth stereotypes and frequency of intergenerational contact. The findings help us understand how different contents and components of ageism toward older people are linked with young people's cultural values and familial norms.

Towards Sustainable Products and Services: The Influences of Traditional Costumes in Promoting Sustainable Fashion

Recent research in Sustainability has gained increasing attention within the past years, particularly regarding methods and approaches for designing sustainable products and services to address environmental and societal challenges. However, there has been limited exploration of incorporating cultural materials into the design process, which could enhance the cultural sustainability of products and services. This article aims to investigate the potential of integrating traditional royal costumes into fashion design to foster sustainability values and behaviours in contemporary society. A descriptive study focused on the Nhat Binh robe; a formal dress worn by noblewomen of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945). The findings reveal that this traditional costume is rich in visual elements, offering a wealth of inspiration for fashion designers. However, existing products and services have yet to fully leverage the emotional and visual aspects of this unique cultural material. To creatively and sustainably preserve and promote traditional cultural values, this study proposes a model for incorporating traditional cultural materials into fashion design through co-design activities. This model emphasizes close collaboration between designers, artisans, and fashion consumers, with the goal of safeguarding traditional cultural values while advancing sustainable fashion. By fostering collaboration among them, the model has the potential to encourage a sense of ownership and emotional connection to the products, enriching consumer experiences. It not only addresses existing gaps in the use of cultural elements in fashion design but also positions designers to play a pivotal role in the future of sustainable fashion.

DETECTION OF LIKURAI DANCE MOVEMENT TYPES IN MALAKA REGENCY USING YOLOV8 BASED ON VIDEO

Indonesia is rich in traditional dances from every region, including the Likurai Dance, originating from East Nusa Tenggara, specifically in Malaka and Belu districts. This dance carries deep symbolic and historical meaning; however, it is currently threatened by lifestyle changes and globalization. Despite this, accurately and in real-time recognizing Likurai Dance movements remains challenging, particularly in detecting the specific dance movements. This research aims to test the effectiveness of detecting three types of Likurai Dance movements using documented digital video. The detection model is the YOLOv8 algorithm, known for detecting objects quickly and accurately. A YOLOv8-based platform is proposed to detect these dance movements precisely. In the testing, the YOLOv8 model demonstrated outstanding performance, achieving a very high mAP of 99.5% for the Wesei Wehali movement, 99.4% for the Be Tae Be Tae movement, and 99.1% for the Tebe Re movement. These results indicate that the model can detect dance movements with exceptional accuracy, precision, and recall rates above 98%. This research concludes that YOLOv8 has excellent potential in detecting traditional dance movements with high accuracy. These findings are significant for preserving and documenting the Likurai Dance and provide an educational means for younger generations to understand better and appreciate traditional cultural values.

A sociotheological interpretation of Genesis 50:25 in a Zimbabwean context

Migration to foreign lands is as old as the biblical stories of Abraham leaving his native land, Ur of the Chaldeans to go to a land that God was to show him. Concomitant with migration, however, is the possibility of death in the new habitat and oftentimes important decisions are made on how to fund the funerals. In the case of Zimbabwean diasporas, this has seen the rise in popularity of funeral insurance companies such as Diaspora Insurance and the GoFundMe initiatives. While the issue of funding funerals appears to be the primary thing that people are seized with when a funeral strikes, the most salient aspects would be issues of religion and culture. This article endeavours to show how, despite the challenging economic environment, the costly repatriation of dead relatives can best be appreciated through a sociotheological interpretation of Genesis 50:25. In other words, Genesis 50:25 can be used as a mirror to understand the value people place on issues of religion and culture. It is thus my argument that the religious background of the actors as well as their socio-cultural setting are critical in making important decisions regarding the place of interment as well as influencing the funding logistics to take the corpse to the desired resting place.Contribution: As the death toll continues to rise of diasporas who would have gone offshore in search of a reprieve from the economic challenges that have become almost an indelible mark of Zimbabwe, issues around the values of traditional religion and culture continue to come to the fore. This research adds a voice to the ongoing religious and political dialogue in Zimbabwe in so far as it seeks to explain and understand the underlying reasons behind the costly repatriation of deceased relatives through a sociotheological reading of Genesis 50:25.

Solutions for the Development of Vietnamese Culture and People

This paper provides a detailed analysis of the current state and challenges in the development of Vietnamese culture and people. Using qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, surveys, and document analysis, the paper comprehensively evaluates the present issues. Based on these evaluations, the paper proposes key solutions to enhance and promote the sustainable development of Vietnamese culture and people in the coming period. These solutions focus not only on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values but also on adapting to the new demands of modern society, contributing to the construction of a diverse and rich culture, and improving the quality of life for the people.

Exploring emotional experiences of Chinese university novice EFL teachers: An ecological perspective

Drawing on Bronfenbrenner's ecological system, the present study employs a qualitative longitudinal approach to delve into the emotional experiences and ecological factors that contribute to these emotions in eight novice EFL teachers from four Chinese public universities. Based on data collected from semi-structured interviews and case documents, this study identifies four types of emotional experiences—fear, anger, sadness, and joy—in their first school year. The findings revealed that their emotional experiences were shaped by college students, teachers' teaching competence, EFL teaching-related activities in the microsystem, interpersonal relationships in the mesosystem, novice teacher education and development systems in the exosystem, traditional cultural values and English curriculum reforms in the macrosystem, and changes in the emotional experiences over time in the chronosystem. The implications for novice EFL teachers, teacher educators, school leaders, and policymakers are proposed.

Formation of cultural identity of students as a subject of pedagogical discussion

Introduction. Geopolitical challenges of our time encourage teachers to search for optimal means to counteract the deformation of the ideological positions of students, the mixing of cultures, and the devaluation of traditional cultural and historical values. In this context, the formation of cultural identity among students and schoolchildren, which unites all-Russian and regional cultural meanings at the content level, acquires great theoretical and practical significance. As an example, the Novgorod cultural identity is given as an integrative symbol of the cultural and historical heritage of Russia and the Novgorod region. The purpose of the study is the scientific substantiation of the concepts of “cultural code” and “cultural identity” as pedagogical phenomena containing national and regional components. Materials and methods. Using theoretical methods (interdisciplinary analysis, synthesis, generalization), a study of scientific sources was carried out, which made it possible to identify the relationship between the concepts of “cultural code” and “cultural identity”. In order to determine the components and levels of formation of cultural identity among students, a survey was conducted of 327 students and schoolchildren of the Novgorod region aged 14 to 21 years. Statistical data processing was carried out using the Google Forms service. Results. Based on a theoretical analysis of scientific sources, it was established that cultural identity as a conscious position of young people can be purposefully formed by pedagogical means, and the cultural code can be generated and transmitted by various institutions of socialization. The survey data recorded a fairly high level of development of the cognitive component of the cultural identity of students and an average level of development of the affective and behavioral components. Based on the results obtained, the problematic field of cultural categories was translated into the plane of pedagogical discussion and their characteristics as social and pedagogical phenomena were given. Conclusion. The conducted research made it possible to identify the relationship between the concepts of “cultural code” and “cultural identity”, to determine the general civil and regional aspects of the cultural identity of students. The comprehensive educational program for training future teachers developed by the authors, which includes the history of education and enlightenment of the Novgorod region, the theoretical foundations of educational tourism, museum and excursion pedagogy, will be of practical interest for university teachers and school teachers who carry out educational work with students.

Innovative Exploration of Integrating Chinese Traditional Culture into University Curriculum Systems

Chinese traditional culture is the root and soul of our nation, containing rich moral and intellectual resources. Traditional culture encompasses a wide spectrum, including technology, literature, and philosophy, and serves as an effective pathway for guiding college students to form correct outlooks on life, values, and the world. By deeply exploring the contemporary value of traditional culture and integrating it into university curriculum systems through the medium of “curriculum project packages,” we can construct a new type of curriculum system of “traditional culture + project package” in higher education. This initiative holds significant practical importance for the inheritance of traditional culture, the promotion of curriculum reform, the enhancement of teaching effectiveness, and the improvement of students' overall qualities.

On the Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture in Ideological and Political Education

Purpose: By analyzing the historical origin and value of Traditional Chinese medicine culture, the article studies the application of Traditional Chinese medicine culture in postgraduate students' ideological and political education, with a view to promoting the deeper inheritance and development of Traditional Chinese medicine culture. Methods: The article explains the importance and feasibility of Traditional Chinese medicine culture in postgraduate students' ideological and political education, and the difficulties in the application of ideological and political education, on the basis of which it proposes to improve the civic system of the course, improve the quality of professional teachers of Traditional Chinese medicine culture and civic teachers, and establish a collaborative educating mechanism with the help of the resource-sharing platform, so as to deepen the postgraduates' understanding of Traditional Chinese medicine culture in the ideological and political education course. Conclusion: Graduate students' ideological and political education courses provide a good platform for the dissemination and development of Traditional Chinese medicine culture, and the two are complementary to each other. By establishing classroom evaluation and incentive mechanisms, the substantive integration of both sides can be better promoted.

Innovative Development of Zhuang Excellent Traditional Culture in the Era of Integrated Media

Chinese culture represents the rich tapestry of various ethnic traditions. The development of these diverse cultures is essential for the overall prosperity of Chinese civilization. Therefore, promoting the innovative advancement of the Zhuang ethnic group's traditional culture can bolster their cultural confidence, preserve the diversity of Chinese culture, strengthen national identity, foster ethnic unity and progress, enrich spiritual and cultural life, and support rural community development. In today's rapidly evolving integrated media landscape, driven by information technology, the innovative development of the Zhuang's traditional culture encounters significant opportunities. In this study, we first explored the value foundation of innovative development of excellent traditional culture of the Zhuang ethnic group in the era of integrated media. Then, we analyzed the promoting effect of integrated media technology on the innovative development of excellent traditional culture of the Zhuang ethnic group in the new media ecological environment. Finally, we summarized how to fully utilize new technological means, create an integrated media matrix, and leverage resource integration advantages to achieve innovative development of excellent traditional culture of the Zhuang ethnic group. The research results are conducive to deeply exploring the contemporary value of excellent traditional culture of the Zhuang ethnic group and activating its cultural vitality, continuously promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional culture in China, thereby promoting the prosperity and development of cultural undertakings and cultural industries.
