Local Wisdom about Food Sustainment in the Bima Community

Global climate change has a direct impact on world food security, including in Indonesia. In fact, previous generations have local wisdom in the context of food preservation. The people of Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province also have local wisdom about how to maintain food that has long been inherited from their ancestors. This study aims to identify how the Bima people with their local wisdom can maintain food values ??in their area. This study was conducted using a qualitative method with an ethnographic strategy. The data sources were informants including traditional leaders, local communities, traditional ceremony implementers, and the procession of traditional ceremonies and their equipment. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and field observations of traditional ceremony processions. Data validity testing was carried out by triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis techniques with interactive models. The results of the study showed that the value of local wisdom about food preservation was presented through folklore, traditional ceremony processions and traditional ceremony offerings. The folktale entitled fare ma lingi conveys the message that we must maintain agricultural activities in accordance with the teachings of our ancestors. The Impact of a Local Well-Being Philosophy on Revisit Intentions to Bali Among Digital Nomads

The level of success in tourism is gauged by several metrics; however, the most widely used is the level of tourist arrivals. However, this research answered the call for greater investigation of the impacts of qualitative factors and intangible cultural–heritage assets on destination performance. The primary research purpose was to analyze the effect of implementing a local well-being philosophy (Tri Hita Karana) on tourist revisit intentions for Bali and the mediation of destination quality and destination image. A research model was developed to examine the relationships among local wisdom (TKH), destination quality, destination image, and revisit intentions. Data were collected via a survey of 520 digital nomadic tourists and analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The results indicated that the implementation of THK positively and significantly affected revisit intentions, destination image, and destination quality. Destination image and destination quality had positive and significant effects on revisit intentions, and destination image and destination quality also significantly mediated the effect of THK implementation on revisit intentions. The findings suggested that implementing local wisdom values such as THK in the management of a destination makes visitors feel more favorably about the quality and image of the destination and they have the intention to revisit.

Nilai Kearifan Lokal pada Kesenian Budaya Ondel-ondel di Tanah Betawi (Studi Daerah Khusus Ibu Kota Jakarta)

This study discusses the local wisdom values contained in the ondel-ondel art as part of the Betawi community culture in Jakarta. Ondel-ondel, which originally had a sacred function as a medium to ward off evil spirits, has undergone a transformation in function into a cultural icon and a means of entertainment, especially in the context of tourism and communal celebrations in Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the local wisdom values in the ondel-ondel art and to understand how the Betawi community interprets and preserves this art in the midst of modernization. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, field observations, and literature studies. The results of the study show that ondel-ondel contains spiritual, social, and cultural values that reflect the identity of the Betawi community. Spiritual values are seen in the role of ondel-ondel as a symbol of protection; social values are reflected through togetherness and mutual cooperation in making and presenting ondel-ondel; while cultural values are reflected in the use of ondel-ondel as an expression of unique Betawi identity. However, commercialization and changes in the function of ondel-ondel in the modern era have obscured its original meaning, so that preservation efforts are needed so that local wisdom values are maintained. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of the role of communities and governments in preserving ondel-ondel art through educational programs and cultural promotions that maintain its traditional values.

Incorporating Local Wisdom Values of Piil Pesenggiri Lampung Into Life Skills Through Social Studies Learning

Currently, one of the main challenges in the world of education is that learning still tends to be textbook-based which emphasizes aspects of knowledge but not improving life skills as an important aspect in equipping students, namely the ability to face challenges in real life. This research emphasizes the incorporation of local wisdom values of the Lampung society, known as Piil Pesenggiri, with life skills through social studies learning in junior high schools. The result shows that Incorporation local wisdom and the ideals of Piil Pesenggiri from the people of Lampung to help build life skills such as: Improved Communication at Nemui Nyimah (80%), consisting of communication skills, listening abilities, and the ability to explain concepts clearly; The Nengah Nyappur emphasizes social and collaborative skills by 78%, which means that strengthening life skills helps improve social skills related to the Nengah Nyappur principles; and Recognition of the diversity of Bejuluk Beadek elements demonstrate respect for diversity and inclusiveness in their social relationships by 85%. By incorporating local wisdom into life skills through social studies learning, students are better prepared to face life's challenges, are creative, able to solve problems, make decisions, and have a strong cultural identity

EXPLORING LOCAL WISDOM VALUES OF SOUTH NIAS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CONSERVATION-BASED SCIENCE CURRICULUM

This study aims to explore the local wisdom values of the Nias Selatan community and investigate the potential integration of these values into a conservation-based Science curriculum. The method employed is literature study, which includes the analysis of documents, articles, and relevant sources regarding local wisdom and environmental education. The results indicate that the local wisdom of Nias Selatan, such as sustainable agricultural practices and marine resource management, embodies important values that align with conservation principles. Integrating these values into the Science curriculum can not only enhance students' understanding of the environment but also foster a caring attitude towards sustainability. Despite challenges in implementation, such as a lack of resources and teacher training, recommendations for the development of a conservation-based curriculum are proposed. This research is expected to contribute to efforts in environmental preservation and the development of relevant education in Nias Selatan.

Contribution of Local Content Learning in Preserving Kajang Tribe Culture : Phenomenological Study

This research aims to accumulate the concept of formal education in encouraging and maintaining the existence of the Kajang tribe's cultural traditions. The research approach used is a qualitative with a phenomenological method. The informants in this study were the Kajang tribal leaders, the community, parents of students, and teachers of SDN 351 Kawasan Amma Toa. Data collection techniques used were through observation, interviews and documents. The data obtained were then analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that "Pasang Ri Kajang" or noble values implemented in local content learning from the local wisdom of the Kajang tribal community are: 1) Love for God and the universe and its contents, 2) Responsibility, discipline and independence, 3) Honest, 4) Obey applicable rules and be polite, 5) Care about the environment, 6) Work hard in nature conservation, 7) Justice, 8) Be humble, 9) Love peace and unity. The integration of local wisdom values in learning will be in accordance with the existing environment experienced by students so that students will be more motivated in learning so that it will have an impact on preserving Kajang tribal culture.

Abstract : Dance is a form of regional culture that contains many cultural values ​​that are strong in social, cultural, philosophical and spiritual values. The cultural values ​​of each dance movement are able to describe the identity of a region. Students' personalities in character building through dance have the aim of being a form of existence in learning traditional dance at school in forming a learning process that is fun, creative, communicative and aesthetic (Ayu Retnoningsih, 2017). However, over time, traditional dance has faded with western culture, so the existence of character strengthening has had a decreasing impact. The development of the times coupled with technological developments seems to be eroding various local wisdom values, especially for the younger generation and children (Umi Mahmudah1 et al., n.d.). Therefore, the author wants to provide efforts to prevent the erosion of traditional culture and western culture by preserving dance movements and instilling character from elementary school age, especially at SDN 22 Ampenan. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The research results were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. With this dance training, it is hoped that it can preserve culture and also foster students' character of cooperation, tolerance, discipline, national spirit, love of the country, and responsibility. Ghana Citizenship Education: A Review from the Perspective of National Education Policy and Learning Models

This study aims to find out the perspective of national education policy and learning model of civic education in Ghana. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The references in this study are divided into two, first, primary, namely journal articles that have high validity. Second, secondary, namely books and documents as an effort to minimize errors that are conceptual, procedural and praxis. Data analysis is gradual, namely, reduction, data display and verification. Civic education in Ghana begins at the primary level and continues through to tertiary education. The government of Ghana considers civic education an integral part of the national education system and has introduced policies and programs to strengthen civic teaching and learning throughout the education system. At the primary level, civic education is taught through social studies subjects, while at the secondary and tertiary levels it is provided as a separate subject. The Ghanaian government has also developed teaching materials and curricula dedicated to civic education, as well as conducted teacher training in integrating civic teaching into the curriculum and classroom activities. The teaching and learning model of Civic Education in Ghana emphasizes the local peaceful cultural and social context. The aim is to strengthen the values of cultural traditions and local wisdom that exist there.

Good Governance, Internal Control, and Village Financial Management Performance: Examining the Moderating Effect of Tri Hita Karana in Denpasar City

The village fund program in Indonesia is planned to support the development and implementation of the Village Government. The village fund program certainly requires village officials to be able to carry out accountable financial management. Village financial management must be managed properly in accordance with the principles of good governance and implement good internal control. However, in practice, there are still some irregularities that occur in village financial management, one of which has occurred in Denpasar City, Bali Province, Indonesia. These irregularities are generally committed by individuals who do not have good ethics and morals. Therefore, it is necessary to harmonize the concept of village government management with the cultural values of local wisdom that developed in Bali, one of which is the concept of Tri Hita Karana culture. Through a strong positive culture, it can undoubtedly produce good performance and achievement for each individual and organization. This study aims to examine the ability of Tri Hita Karana to moderate the effect of good governance and internal control on village financial management performance in Denpasar City. This study uses a quantitative approach using primary data. Data collection techniques with questionnaires. This research was conducted in all villages in Denpasar City. Sample determination using nonprobability sampling method with purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that good governance and internal control had a positive effect on village financial management performance. Tri Hita Karana culture cannot moderate the effect of good governance and internal control on village financial management performance in Denpasar City. The application of the principles of good governance and internal control can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of village financial management. Although the Tri Hita Karana culture has been developing for a long time in Bali, the community has not been able to fully integrate these cultural values in formal practice activities. So that in the future it still requires improvement and better adjustment.

Stilt House Rejang Tribe in the Mountains: Local Wisdom to Responding to Climate Change (Case Study of Duku Ulu and Duku Ilir Villages)

Abstract This study aims to identify the values of local wisdom in the Rejang tribe’s stilt houses with their role as buildings that respond to climate change in Rejang Lebong Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach by describing the theory with the results of measurement observations in the field. Data search was carried out by direct observation in Duku Ulu and Duku Ilir Villages, after conducting interviews with residents of the house, to find out the principles that exist in stilt houses. The occupancy of the Rejang tribe’s stilt house with material dominated by wood material, the gable roof is like the letter V upside down, the shape of the space forms beams that extend sideways. The openings use two layers on windows and doors, the ventilation has a size of 1×1 meters, the orientation of the Duku Ilir Village house building faces South and the front of the Duku Ulu Village house faces Northeast. The two objects of stilt houses identified, it was concluded that the value of local wisdom in the Rejang tribe’s stilt houses was proven to respond to climate change on six values of local wisdom, namely; materials, roofs, spaces, openings, ventilation, and building orientation.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual Berbasis Etnososial Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada IPAS Materi Norma Dalam Adat Istiadat Di Daerahku

This study stems from the lack of learning outcomes in social sciences, particularly in the social context related to customs and culture in grade 4 at UPTD SDN Tanjungjati 2. The process of linking culture to learning was fixated on textbooks, and a comprehensive learning model had not been implemented. Based on these problems, a solution was provided in the form of an ethnosocial-based contextual learning model. The contextual learning model is a model that enables students to relate learning to real-life situations. Ethnosocial integrates local wisdom values in the social aspect into learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the contextual learning model on students' learning outcomes in the material of norms in local customs. The research design used is pre-experimental design with the type one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, with a total sample of 18 people. The instrument used consisted of 10 multiple-choice questions for both the pretest and posttest. The results of the Wilcoxon hypothesis test with a significance level of 5% were 0.000, meaning 0.000 < 0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. There is an influence of the ethnosocial-based contextual learning model on students' learning outcomes in social sciences on the material of norms in local customs.

Preserving Local Traditions of Sumbawa; Phenomenological Study of Artists Entering Batu Nisung State Elementary School

This study aims to describe the program for the preservation of Sumbawa local wisdom values at SD Negeri Batu Nisung. This research is designed with a phenomenological approach. In obtaining data, the researcher plays the role of the main instrument with other supporting tools such as observation guidelines and interview guidelines. The data obtained through observation activities, interview activities and documentation were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The validity of the data was confirmed through triangulation, peer discussions and fukus group discussions. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that at SDN Batu Nisung there is one program that aims to preserve local traditional values, namely Batu Nisung or SEMANIS. The program can introduce and train students as local traditional actors, because they are taught directly by local artists in playing traditional Sumbawa musical instruments. The Semanis program is part of a strategic step that connects the world of education with cultural arts so that it can create a collaborative space for students to develop their creativity, empathy, and insight into local cultural values.

Peningkatan teknologi bagi agroindustri pliek-u sebagai upaya pelestarian kearifan lokal di Aceh [Technology improvement on pliek-u agroindustry as an effort to maintain a local wisdom in Aceh

Pliek-u is a specialty food product in Aceh with local wisdom values that should be preserved. The Program of Community Service Based Product (PKMBP) aimed to improve the pliek-u agro-industry by adapting simple processing technologies so that it could lighten work, produce quality products, and attract the interest of the younger generation as pliek-u entrepreneurs in future. The method applied consist of surveys, preparation of tools and materials, assembly of a solar tunnel dryer type Hohenheim Aceh and a hydraulic press, training and dissemination of technology through field schools, and evaluation of the program with pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon rank test with alpha of 5%. The results of the program were the construction of 1 unit of Hohenheim Aceh tunnel dryer, 1 unit of hydraulic press, and the implementation of training and dissemination activities which have been published in the form of videos on YouTube media and press releases through online media. The results of the Wilcoxon rank test also showed that of the 13 participants whose data were valid, 100% of participants received positive rankings and the pre-test scores were significantly different from the post-test scores. Thus, it can be concluded that the program carried out has contributed to increasing the knowledge, expertise capacity, and interest of participants in pliek-u processing technologies since the profile of conventional agroindustry can be transformed to be better agroindustry by the use of solar tunnel dryer type Hohenheim Aceh and hydraulic press. In addition, the use of technologies will ensure the halal requirement of pliek-u.

Readiness of Islamic Higher Education Institutions in Indonesia for future quality assurance

Purpose This study aims to assess the readiness of Islamic Higher Education Institutions (IHEIs) to enter the third wave of education or future quality assurance. Design/methodology/approach This study used a descriptive quantitative method with observation, documentation, a questionnaire and an interactive model. The sample population included lecturers and quality assurance managers in IHEIs, totaling 129 respondents. Findings The results showed that IHEIs were prepared to implement future quality assurance to meet individual and societal needs. Furthermore, readiness was also shown in the following matters: Relevance of higher education institution vision, implementation of tripilization learning in higher education institutions, understanding of other cultures (cross-cultural sharing), application of multiple development models and noble values of local wisdom and national culture in tri-dharma. Research limitations/implications This study focused on the third wave of education quality assurance in IHEIs in Indonesia. However, the analysis was not conducted in all Indonesian universities as it specifically examined the readiness for implementing future quality assurance. Practical implications Policymakers should follow up on the readiness for implementing future quality assurance as a form of continuous improvement in managing the quality of IHEIs. Originality/value Most publications of quality assurance focused on compliance-oriented issues. However, this study aimed to fill the literature gaps and discuss the future quality assurance of IHEIs in Indonesia. In this context, future quality assurance was also known to guide IHEIs in rendering education relevant to the future needs of generations (graduates).

English Teachers’ Perception on the Ethno-pedagogy in EFL Teaching in Papua Context

Adapting teaching to the culture of students is one aspect that teachers need to consider. Integrating culture and cultural values ​​in the learning process can be done with ethno-pedagogy-based learning. Based on this statement, this study aims to analyze lecturers' perceptions of ethno-pedagogy in universities' English language learning. The method used in this study is qualitative with descriptive data analysis. The subjects in this study were English Foreign Language (EFL) lecturers at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong. The research instrument was an interview sheet to determine lecturers' perceptions of ethno-pedagogy. The study results obtained several themes regarding ethno-pedagogy, namely learning based on local wisdom values, learning based on ethnic diversity, and learning that presents enjoyable learning and adjusts to the learning experience, learning readiness, learning habits, or cultural conditions of students.

Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter pada Generasi Muda Melalui Personifikasi Karakter Pandawa dalam Wayang Kulit

The main problem discussed in this research is the negative impact of modernization which has the potential to damage the character of Indonesia's young generation. This research aims to explore the potential for character education through the application of Pandawa character personification in the traditional art of Wayang kulit. The method used is descriptive qualitative, by analyzing the representation of the Pandawa characters in Shadow Puppets and the values ​​contained therein. Research findings show that Wayang kulit not only maintains local wisdom values, but also carries moral messages and character values ​​that can be adopted by the younger generation. The personification of the Pandawa character highlights positive traits such as courage, loyalty and leadership, which are relevant to character education. The conclusion of this research is that Shadow Puppetry can be an effective tool for strengthening the character of the younger generation, while maintaining Indonesia's cultural heritage. The application of the results of this research can be the basis for developing a culture-based character education program, which is expected to produce a young generation who are responsible and have noble values.

Introducing Religious Moderation through Local Wisdom for Early Childhood

Various cases of suicide bombings in several regions in Indonesia, terrorism movements, the development of thought dynamics that cause various differences, and various issues of intolerant practices that occur at the kindergarten/PAUD level. Conflicts arising from diversity in Indonesia pose a significant challenge to the country’s ability to maintain unity. The purpose of this study is to explain the strategy for introducing religious moderation through local wisdom in early childhood. The research methodology employs a qualitative literature review method. We gather documentation data by searching through a variety of books and articles using keywords such as religious moderation, early childhood, and local wisdom. The data analysis process employs content analysis, which involves scrutinizing data from a variety of sources and drawing conclusions from the findings. The study’s findings demonstrate that local wisdom can introduce religious moderation, as it closely aligns with the child’s surroundings, making religious moderation an integral part of children’s lives. Family, school, and community education can facilitate the integration of moderation and local wisdom. This study offers a fresh perspective on the strategy of introducing religious moderation to early childhood by integrating local wisdom values to form an inclusive, tolerant, and open character towards diversity.

Kearifan Lokal dalam Cerita Rakyat “Timun Mas” Sebagai Media Pengenalan Budaya dalam Pembelajaran BIPA

This article discusses the role of local wisdom in Timun Mas folklore as a medium of cultural recognition in learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). In the context of globalization and increasing human mobility, understanding local culture is very important, especially for those who study Indonesian. The purpose of this article is to explore the local wisdom values contained in the Timun Mas story and analyze its potential as a medium of cultural recognition in BIPA learning. This article also aims to provide a deeper understanding of how the Timun Mas story can be integrated into BIPA learning. Through the text analysis method of Timun Mas folktale and literature study, this article identifies cultural values such as loyalty, courage, and justice contained in the story.

The Influence of Indigenous Peoples' Local Wisdom Values on the Understanding of Civic Education in Kampung Naga Elementary School

Local wisdom that develops in indigenous peoples is a form of culture that is still sustainable and has noble values that can enrich students' understanding of civic education. However, in the context of formal education, the integration of local wisdom with the national curriculum still faces various challenges. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of indigenous peoples' local wisdom values on elementary school students' understanding of civic education. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach to analyze the influence of indigenous peoples' local wisdom values on elementary school students' understanding of civic education. The results of this study state that local wisdom values, such as mutual cooperation, deliberation, and respect for nature, have a significant influence on elementary school students' understanding of civic education. Deliberation showed the strongest influence, followed by mutual cooperation and respect for nature, all of which contributed positively to improving students' understanding of the concept of citizenship. In addition, an R-square value of 0.65 indicates that local wisdom is able to explain most of the variations in students' understanding, which emphasizes the importance of integrating local values in the learning process. This research also highlights the need for the active role of teachers and communities in connecting formal materials with students' socio-cultural contexts, as well as opening up opportunities for the development of a more inclusive and culturally relevant curriculum.
