Strengthening the critical thinking skill through the six-hat thinking model in pancasila education

This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of Pancasila learning with the goal of improving critical thinking skills through the application of the six thinking hats model. The research adopts a descriptive approach utilizing qualitative methods. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. The participants were selected using purposive techniques based on specific criteria and considerations to ensure the collection of targeted information. Specifically, the research focused on students enrolled in the Manufacturing Engineering Class D. Data collection for this study involved the use of observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. To ensure data validity, triangulation techniques were employed by the researchers. Data analysis followed an interactive model based on the framework developed by Miles and Huberman, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The six thinking hats learning model significantly improved students' critical thinking skills and character values. This approach enables students to approach problems from multiple perspectives, becoming more responsive to social issues and navigating real-world challenges. These fosters heightened awareness of societal matters, enabling students to contribute meaningfully to social progress.

Evaluation of School Program Gaps Adiwiyata in Forming Character Profile Pancasila Students at SD Negeri 03 Jati Jaten Karanganyar District

The Adiwiyata program has the character value of caring for the environment in a person to carry out activities related to nature. Through the Adiwiyata School Program, students can be trained to have creative, adaptive, collaborative and independent behavior in accordance with the Pancasila student profile. The aim of this research is to evaluate the implementation of the Adiwiyata School program in finding gaps in the design, installation, process, product and cost-benefit aspects of the Adiwiyata School Program at SD Negeri 03 Jati Jaten, Karanganyar Regency. Program evaluation to ensure the Adiwiyata program is implemented in accordance with the objectives and results as a recommendation to improve the Adiwiyata program in this school. This research uses the DEM (discrepancy evaluation model) evaluation model or what is usually called a gap evaluation model which focuses on every aspect of design, installation, process, product and cost-benefit. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data and information collection regarding program implementation in providing guidance to students is carried out by means of interviews, document studies, and observations. Data analysis was carried out through a process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results concluded that the Adiwiyata program at SD Negeri 03 Jati was implemented well even though it had not fully met the targets set. In the design aspect, no gaps were found at all. Meanwhile, in the installation aspect there is a gap of 12.5%, in the process aspect there is a gap of 11.25%, in the product aspect there is a gap of 16.67%, and in the cost-benefit aspect there is a gap of 12.5%. Based on the gap findings, there are several recommendations that can be proposed, firstly to the school to continue the program by improving the management of environment-based curriculum components by increasing collaboration with all school members and participatory activities by means of intensive and sustainable mentoring as well as budget allocation for the development of the Adiwiyata program. The second recommendation is for the Environmental Service and Adiwiyata School Trustees to provide assistance and provide support for Adiwiyata schools. Character Education Values in The Book of Jāmi'ul Ulūm Wal Hikam and Its Relevance to Commendable Morals in Madrasahs

The hadeeths in the book of Jāmi'ul ulūm wal hikam contain many character values that can be applied to learning commendable morals in the Madrasahs. Studying character values from the hadeeths of the Prophet Muhammad is very important to understand their practical application in learning commendable morals in Madrasahs. This research aims to describe the character values in the hadeeths in the book of jāmi'ul ulūm wal hikam and their relevance to the material of commendable morals in Madrasahs based on KMA No. 183 of 2019. This research aims to identify and describe the character values in the book of Jāmi'ul ulūm wal hikam and its relevance to the material of commendable morals in Madrasahs. This research uses a library research method and qualitative paradigm with a semantic approach to describe the character values in the book of Jāmi'ul ulūm wal hikam. Data collection techniques include reviewing literature, books, notes, and reports on the topics. The analysis technique used in this research is content analysis to describe the character values in the book of Jāmi'ul ulūm wal hikam. Then, the research results are relevant to Madrasahs's moral material. The results show seventeen character values in the book of jāmi'ul ulūm wal hikam. These values are sincerity, wara', affection, restraint of speech, self-control, kindness to animals, humility, shame, istiqāmah, cleanliness, patience, generosity, obedience, zuhud, helpfulness, honesty, and tawakal. The character values of sincerity, obedience, istiqāmah, and patience are relevant to all commendable moral materials in Madrasahss as companion character values in each commendable moral material. Twelve character values apply to the material of commendable morals in the related values: sincerity, affection, restraint of speech, kindness to animals, humility, istiqāmah, cleanliness, patience, obedience, helpfulness, honesty, and tawakal. Evaluation of the Character Education Strengthening Program in Elementary Schools in View from CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product)

This research aims to evaluate the context, input, process, and products in the character education strengthening program at SD Muhammadiyah 05 Pekanbaru. The approach used in this research was qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques included reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research showed that the character education program at SD Muhammadiyah 05 Pekanbaru had proven to be effective. This can be seen from several aspects: First, the context aspect, where most of it has been fulfilled well. Program procedures, which include a clear and detailed vision, mission, goals, and background, were in accordance with community needs. It is evidenced by the increasing number of students studying and student participation in extracurricular activities, as well as student enthusiasm in carrying out character education programs. Second, is the input aspect, where most of the input components have been fulfilled properly. The majority of teachers implemented character education programs effectively. Third, the process aspect, where all components had been implemented quite well. This can be seen from the value of students' discipline and curiosity, as well as the enthusiasm of educators in guiding and directing students in implementing character education, both in the classroom and outside the classroom. Fourth, the product aspect, where most of the product components of the character education program at SD Muhammadiyah 05 Pekanbaru had shown satisfactory results. This can be seen from the instillation of character values carried out, as well as the implementation or habituation of character education carried out by each student in activities at school. Apart from that, the achievements achieved, both in the academic and non-academic fields, also showed the success of this program.

The spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors of habitat quality in the typical region of the Lunan Economic Belt: a case study of Donggang District, Rizhao.

Habitat quality is a key indicator for evaluating the biodiversity of a region. This study aims to assess the current status and characteristic changes of habitat quality in Donggang District, Rizhao while analyzing the potential factors influencing the quality of the habitat. The study employed the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs Habitat Quality (InVEST-HQ) mode to assess the spatiotemporal variations in habitat quality in the Donggang District from 2008 to 2022. GeoDetector was utilized to investigate the impact of various factors on the spatial differentiation characteristics of habitat quality. The potential correlation between economic development and habitat quality was further explored using the Spearman correlation coefficient and Grayscale Association Analysis. The results reveal that habitat quality in Donggang District is highest in the east and lowest in the west, with significant correlations to land use and vegetation coverage. The study highlights a decline in habitat quality over the period, linked to rapid economic growth and industrial expansion. These insights are crucial for balancing urban biodiversity with economic development.

Facile Access toPhosphorus Ylide-fused Heteroarenes Possessing Tunable Optoelectronic Properties and High Nonlinear Optical Performances.

We report here a novel family of ylidic P-heteroarenes (P1-P6), structurally featuring unique phosphonium cyclopentadienylide (P-Cp)-fused π-skeletons and synthetically prepared via an unexpected one-pot [2+3]/[3+3] phospha-annulation reaction. While the facile and modular synthesis allows the fine-tuning of their optical absorptions and redox properties, single-crystallographic and theoretical analysis of these P-heteroarenes further reveal that the fusion of P-Cpmoiety leads to substantial intramolecular charge-separated features with high ylidic character values of up to 84%. Benefitted from such dipolar structures, these P-heteroarenes not only allows stepwise electrophilic substitution reaction for further structural π-expansions, but also exhibit excellent nonlinear optical (NLO) responses and optical limiting (OL) performances comparable to or exceed those of C60. As a model compound, the persistent radical-anion salt of P5a was also prepared through chemical reduction, thus offering valuable insights into the electronic structures of reduced P-ylidic species. Our work not only established a highly efficient synthetic method toward new P-heteroarenes, but also provide fundamental understanding of those fused-ring ylidic P-heterocycles with promising NLO/OL applications.

EKSISTENSI SENI TARI KREASI MODERN DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN NILAI KARAKTER OLEH KAMPUS MENGAJAR 7 DI SDN 22 AMPENAN

Abstract : Dance is a form of regional culture that contains many cultural values ​​that are strong in social, cultural, philosophical and spiritual values. The cultural values ​​of each dance movement are able to describe the identity of a region. Students' personalities in character building through dance have the aim of being a form of existence in learning traditional dance at school in forming a learning process that is fun, creative, communicative and aesthetic (Ayu Retnoningsih, 2017). However, over time, traditional dance has faded with western culture, so the existence of character strengthening has had a decreasing impact. The development of the times coupled with technological developments seems to be eroding various local wisdom values, especially for the younger generation and children (Umi Mahmudah1 et al., n.d.). Therefore, the author wants to provide efforts to prevent the erosion of traditional culture and western culture by preserving dance movements and instilling character from elementary school age, especially at SDN 22 Ampenan. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The research results were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. With this dance training, it is hoped that it can preserve culture and also foster students' character of cooperation, tolerance, discipline, national spirit, love of the country, and responsibility. TUJUAN, FUNGSI DAN PRINSIP EVALUASI PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI PONDOK PESANTREN SURYANI SURAKARTA

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of Islamic Education (PAI) learning at Pondok Pesantren Suryani Surakarta, focusing on the objectives, functions, and principles of the evaluation employed. The research adopts a qualitative method, utilizing data collection through observation, interviews, and document analysis involving teachers and students at the pesantren. The evaluation is intended to identify strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of PAI learning and provide recommendations for improvement and development. The evaluation results indicate that the strengths of PAI learning at Pondok Pesantren Suryani Surakarta include the extensive educational backgrounds and experiences of Islamic teachers, their ability to deliver material effectively, and the creation of a conducive learning environment. The use of the halaqah teaching method also allows for active student interaction in understanding Islamic teachings. However, the evaluation also reveals weaknesses, such as limitations in technological resources and the need to accommodate student diversity. Recommendations for improvement include enhancing access to and the use of technology in learning, adopting more inclusive teaching strategies, and developing teacher competencies. Thus, Pondok Pesantren Suryani Surakarta can continue to enhance the quality of Islamic education, meeting the urgency of shaping the character, morals, and religious values of the younger generation, and making a positive contribution to society.

ANALISIS DAN PENGEMBANGAN MATERI AJAR DALAM KURIKULUM PAI

Abstract This research aims to analyze and develop teaching materials in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum. In the learning process, open materials have an important role in helping teachers achieve educational goals. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach. Data was collected through documentation studies and interviews with PAI teachers. The research results show that the material provided in the PAI curriculum needs to be adapted to current developments, student needs and local context. The development of teaching materials is carried out through the integration of character values, the use of technology and contextual approaches. This research recommends increasing teacher competence in developing and developing innovative and relevant teaching materials. Depth zero supercuspidal representations of classical groups into l-packets: The typically almost symmetric case

We classify what we call “typically almost symmetric” depth zero supercuspidal representations of a classical group over a local field of odd residual characteristic into L-packets. Our main results resolve an ambiguity in the paper of Lust-Stevens [24] in this case, where they could only classify these representations in two or four, if not one, L-packets. By assuming the expected numbers of supercuspidal representations in the L-packets, we employ only simple properties of the representations to prove the main results. In particular, we do not require any deep calculations of character values. With the same method, we also compute the parity of a (conjugate-)self-dual depth zero supercuspidal representation of a general linear group.

Dampak Pengunaan Gadget pada Perkembangan Karakter Siswa Sekolah MI Muhammadiyah Segong

The purpose of this study is to find out how the use of student gadgets in MI Muhammdiyah Segong school, namely cellphones, has an impact on the growth of student character in MI Segong Muhammadiyah school. The type of research is qualitative descriptive, which is a research process that is carried out to analyze the information obtained in the form of words, daily behavior how to use student gadgets at MI Muhammdiyah Segong school. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Then analyze the results of observations and interviews from the results of the research. Based on the results of the study, it was found that character formation is quite difficult to direct due to the lack of consistent supervision from parents in the use of gadgets. Children are used to giving gadgets after doing homework and when given gadgets there are no rules for when using gadgets so that children spend more time using gadgets by playing games and watching entertainment videos until they forget about educational obligations. The school in shaping the character of students is quite good in the teacher's strategy that uses methods in discussions with parents in terms of the use of gadgets for children. As well as conducting learning in the classroom to form better character values and provide positive examples to students.

A systematic review and meta-analysis of outcomes associated with development of surgical site infection after lower-limb revascularization surgery.

Although surgical site infection (SSI) is a commonly used quality metric after lower-limb revascularization surgery, outcomes associated with development of this complication are poorly characterized. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies reporting associations between development of an SSI after these procedures and clinical outcomes and healthcare resource use. We searched MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL, and Evidence-Based Medicine Reviews (inception to April 4th, 2023) for studies examining adjusted associations between development of an SSI after lower-limb revascularization surgery and clinical outcomes and healthcare resource use. Two investigators independently screened abstracts and full-text citations, extracted data, and assessed risk of bias. Data were pooled using random-effects models. Heterogeneity was assessed using I2 statistics. GRADE was used to assess estimate certainty. Among 6671 citations identified, we included 11 studies (n = 61,628 total patients) that reported adjusted-associations between development of an SSI and 13 different outcomes. Developing an SSI was associated with an increased adjusted-risk of hospital readmission (pooled adjusted-risk ratio (aRR) = 3.55; 95% CI (confidence interval) = 1.40-8.97; n = 4 studies; n = 13,532 patients; I2 = 99.0%; moderate certainty), bypass graft thrombosis within 30-days (pooled aRR = 2.09; 95% CI = 1.41-3.09; n = 2 studies; n = 23,240 patients; I2 = 51.1%; low certainty), reoperation (pooled aRR = 2.69; 95% CI = 2.67-2.72; n = 2 studies; n = 23,240 patients; I2 = 0.0%; moderate certainty), bleeding requiring a transfusion or secondary procedure (aRR = 1.40; 95% CI = 1.26-1.55; n = 1 study; n = 10,910 patients; low certainty), myocardial infarction or stroke (aRR = 1.21; 95% CI = 1.02-1.43; n = 1 study; n = 10,910 patients; low certainty), and major (i.e., above-ankle) amputation (pooled aRR = 1.93; 95% CI = 1.26-2.95; n = 4 studies; n = 32,859 patients; I2 = 83.0; low certainty). Development of an SSI >30-days after the index operation (aRR = 2.20; 95% CI = 1.16-4.17; n = 3 studies; n = 21,949 patients; low certainty) and prosthetic graft infection (aRR = 6.72; 95% CI = 3.21-12.70; n = 1 study; n = 272 patients; low certainty) were both associated with an increased adjusted-risk of major amputation. Prosthetic graft infection was also associated with an increased adjusted-risk of mortality >30-days after the index procedure (aRR = 6.40; 95% CI = 3.32-12.36; n = 1 study; n = 272 patients; low certainty). This systematic review and meta-analysis suggests that development of an SSI after lower-limb revascularization surgery significantly increases patient morbidity and healthcare resource use. SSI is therefore a valuable quality metric after these surgeries. However, current estimates are based on heterogenous, low-to-moderate certainty evidence and should be confirmed by large, multicenter, cohort studies.

Penanaman Nilai-Nilai Karakter Hindu Dalam Tradisi Ngendar Di Banjar Sekarmukti Desa Pangsan

The cultivation of character values is a very important matter in the development of a child's personality. Religious tradition is one way to teach the process of instilling character values in Hinduism. This is demonstrated by the Ngendar tradition in Sekarmukti Village, Pangsan Village, Badung Regency. The Ngendar tradition carried out by children in the Banjar Sekarmukti area, starts from H-2 Piodalan which is carried out on the day of Buda Umanis wuku Julungwangi or exactly 15 days before Galungan. The research approach is a naturalistic approach that answers research problems that require in-depth understanding and produces conclusions related to the Ngendar Tradition. The Ngendar tradition during the piodalan at Penataran Agung Sekarmukti Temple in Petang Badung Bali carried out by children as a source of learning will encourage the appreciation of character values based on Hindu religious teachings. The cultivation of character values carried out in the Ngendar tradition includes (1) Gratitude (Ktajñatâ), (2) Maintaining Purity and cleanliness (Saucam), (3) Friendship (Maitri), and (4) Care. Broadly speaking, the implementation of this Ngendar tradition has a positive impact on children such as increasing sraddha and bhakti, growing a sense of solidarity and cooperation and creating discipline in children.

Chromosome-scale genome assembly of Astragalus membranaceus using PacBio and Hi-C technologies

Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bge (AM) is a medicinal herb plant belonging to the Leguminosae family. In this study, we present a chromosome-scale genome assembly of AM, aiming to enhance the molecular biology and functional studies of Astragali Radix. The genome size of AM is about 1.43 Gb, with a contig N50 value of 1.67 Mb. A total of 98.16% of the assembly anchored to 9 pseudochromosomes using Hi-C technology. The assembly completeness was estimated to be 97.27% using BUSCO with the long terminal repeat assembly index (LAI) of 16.22 and quality value (QV) of 48.58. Additionally, the genome contained 67.98% repetitive sequences. Genome annotation predicted 29,914 protein-coding genes, including 73 genes involved in the flavonoid biosynthetic pathway and 2,048 transcription factors. The high-quality genome assembly and gene annotation resources will greatly facilitate future functional genomic studies in Leguminosae species.

Barriers in achieving quality valuations: the New Zealand perspective

PurposeTo inform ways of improving valuation quality, this study seeks to understand the lived experiences of practising valuers regarding the challenges of conducting quality valuations.Design/methodology/approachThis study adopts a qualitative strategy involving 19 semi-structured interviews with valuers in New Zealand. The interview data were analysed using progressive comparative analysis and the constant comparative method, which yielded comprehensive and well-founded conclusions.FindingsThe data analysis revealed several challenges that hinder the improvement and maintenance of valuation quality. These challenges were categorised into nine key areas, covering a wide range of issues, including a wide scope of practice, lack of experienced valuers, inappropriate use of graduate valuers, stakeholder expectations, access to relevant information, differing approaches, valuer attitudes and dissatisfaction with compensation.Practical implicationsThe findings of this study have the potential to inform the valuation profession and other stakeholders about the challenges that practising valuers face in conducting quality valuations, which can ultimately lead to improvements in the valuation process.Originality/valueThis study contributes to the valuation literature, by highlighting the lived experiences of valuers in terms of the potential and challenges pertaining to valuation quality improvement. This has been an area that has received limited attention in the past, and an understanding of these issues has the potential to approach valuation quality in new and innovative ways.

Class V Students' Environmental Concern Attitude Through Clean and Healthy Friday Activities

This research is motivated by the many cases of environmental pollution and careless waste disposal which can trigger environmental damage. Even though the function of the environment is very important in supporting human life. So, a caring attitude towards the environment must be implemented from an early age. This research aims to describe the environmental care attitudes of students at SD Negeri 1 Bantrung through clean and healthy Friday activities. This type of research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. The case study approach aims to comprehensively reveal the values​​of caring character in clean and healthy Friday activities. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation obtained by researchers during research implementation. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 1 Bantrung. Based on the results of research, students' environmental care attitudes towards the environment are quite good, students can love the surrounding environment with 5 indicators of environmental care attitudes, 4 of which are appropriate, namely saving electricity and water by using enough, the availability of rubbish bins and hand washing facilities available in the area. . in each class, maintain the cleanliness of the school environment by participating in maintaining the cleanliness of the environment, providing bathrooms and sufficient clean water for all school residents. A caring attitude towards the environment is instilled at the educational level through the routine implementation of clean and healthy Friday activities. Clean and healthy Friday activities have a positive impact on caring attitudes towards the environment.

Pendampingan Anggota Igra dalam Melaksanakan Proses Belajar Mengajar Kreatif dan Menyenangkan Berbasis Konten Kreator

Education is an effective way to combat poverty, with teachers playing key roles as facilitators, motivators, and guides in the learning process. In early childhood education, particularly in Raudhatul Athfal (RA), teachers play a crucial role in instilling values of faith, independence, and good moral character in children during their golden age (0-5 years old). This research aims to empower RA teachers in Kecamatan Turen to create social media-based learning content as an innovative method to enhance student engagement.The research method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving 13 RA institutions in Kecamatan Turen, with a focus on training teachers to produce digital learning content. The findings reveal that most teachers already use digital tools in teaching, but there are still challenges in developing digital content that aligns with the cognitive development of young children. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of creating official social media accounts and websites for each RA, integrated into a unified platform at the district level.The outcomes of this program are expected to enhance teachers' abilities in utilizing social media as an interactive and engaging learning tool. Thus, empowering teachers to create educational digital content is key to improving the quality of education, especially for early childhood. Continuous evaluation through feedback allows for the refinement of teaching methods, fostering a more effective and creative learning environment.

THE ROLE OF KARAWITAN EXTRACURRICULAR IN CULTIVATING THE CHARACTER OF LOVE FOR CULTURE AMONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Karawitan extracurricular activities can be a means for character education. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of character education through extracurricular karawitan activities in elementary schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to identify how the character of love for culture and cooperation are formed through the involvement of students in extracurricular activity. Data sources are obtained through direct observation, unstructured interviews, and the collection of documents related to school profiles, karawatan activities at SD Negeri Sendangharjo. The results show that the application of cultural love character values has a significant positive impact on children's social relationships and behavior at school, as well as strengthening the relationship between students, parents, and schools. The character of cooperation formed through karavatan in elementary school provides an important meaning in shaping the personality of Pancasila and plays a role in preserving and disseminating local culture. The application of the principles of cooperation and mutual cooperation is beneficial for strengthening social relations at school and developing students' social and cultural skills and involving parents in supporting children in art activities.

Valuation of the EORTC Quality of Life Utility Core 10 Dimensions (QLU-C10D) in a Multi-ethnic Asian Setting: How Does Having Cancer Matter?

The aim of the study was to develop and compare utility value sets for the EORTC QLU-C10D, a cancer-specific utility instrument based on the EORTC QLQ-C30, using the preferences of the general public and cancer patients in Singapore, and to assess their measurement properties. A total of 600 individuals from the general public were recruited using a multi-stage random sampling, along with 626 cancer patients with clinically confirmed diagnoses from outpatient clinics of the largest tertiary cancer hospital. Each participant valued 16 pairs of EORTC QLU-C10D health states using a discrete choice experiment (DCE). Conditional logit models were used to analyze the DCE responses of the general public and cancer patients separately. Utility values were assessed for known-group validity and responsiveness in the cancer patients by comparing mean values across subgroups of patients and calculating standardized response means using longitudinal EORTC QLQ-C30 data, respectively. Physical functioning and pain had the most impact on utility for both cancer patients and general public groups. Worst health state utility values were -0.821 and -0.463 for the general public and cancer patients, respectively. Cancer patients' values were lower for mild-to-moderate health states but higher for moderately-to-highly impaired states compared with the general public's values. Both value sets discriminated between patients with differing characteristics and responded equally well to improved health status, but the cancer patients' value set was slightly more responsive to deteriorated health. EORTC QLU-C10D value sets based on the preferences of the Singaporean general public and cancer patients exhibited differences in values but similar psychometric properties.
