A time-resolved normal-incidence vacuum ultra-violet spectrograph

The instrument described will record photographically a time-scanned spectrum of a pulsed event in the vacuum ultra-violet region. It covers any 1000 A range between 500 and 2500 A with a dispersion of 8.3 A mm-1. Time resolution is achieved by reflection from a rotating mirror and has a maximum value of 3.1 mm μsec-1. Some experimental results are shown.

摘要 本文叙述了新近建造的一台二米真空紫外光栅摄谱仪的构造、性能和得到的结果,仪器是法线入射式,入射角7.5°,记录波段为2100?—200?。平均色散率为8.7?/mm。应用低气压电容放电光源,获得强而清晰的线状谱,包括大量的高次离化谱线。我们辨认了这个光源发射的大部分谱线共554条。 Abstract A two-meter normal incidence vacuum ultra-violet spectrograph has been built and in operation for some time. The spectrograph has an angle of incidence 7.5° and covers the spectral range 2100?-200?, with an average dispersion 8.7?/mm. A low pressure condensed spark discharge tube is used as the source, giving intense sharp spectral lines of various degree of ionization.
