Collaboration optimization model of dynamic traffic control and guidance based on Internet of Vehicles

In order to improve the comprehensive effect of Urban Traffic Control System (UTCS) and Urban Traffic Flow Guidance System (UTFGS), this paper puts forward a collaboration optimization model of dynamic traffic control and guidance based on Internet of Vehicles (IOV). With consideration of dynamic constraints of UTCS and UTFGS, UTCS is taken as the fast variable, and UTFGS is taken as the slow variable in the collaboration optimization modeling. The conception of Variable Cycle Management (VCM) is presented to solve the mathematical modeling problem under the background of the two variables. A unified framework for VCM is proposed based on IOV. The delay and travel time are calculated based on lane-group-based cell transmission model (LGCTM). The collaboration optimization problem is abstracted into a tri-level programming model. The upper level model is a cycle length optimization model based on multi-objective programming. The middle level model is a dynamic signal control decision model based on fairness analysis. The lower level model is a user equilibrium model based on average travel time. A Heuristic Iterative Optimization Algorithm (HIOA) is set up to solve the tri-level programming model. The upper level model is solved by Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA II), the middle level model and the lower level model are solved by Method of Successive Averages (MSA). A case study shows the efficiency and applicability of the proposed model and algorithm.

Study on Path Optimization Method of Urban Traffic Flow Guidance System Based on Internet of Things

This paper analyzes the existing traffic guidance systems and conducts a detailed explanation of things based on traffic flow guidance system and describes its characteristics and advantages and disadvantages. After a comparison beteween them, this paper designs the optimal way and introduce its features detaily. On this basis, this paper studies the structure and composition traffic information system, including the service application platform designed to induce traffic information systems and traffic information collection system and vehicle location system to provide basic information on traffic flow guidance system design. This paper analyzes the general method of route optimization to build a theoretical model based route optimization and this lay a foundation for things urban traffic guidance system path optimization.

Fusion Framework of Urban Traffic Control and Route Guidance Based on Cyber-physical System Theory

To avoid traffic congestion, improve transport efficiency, and meet the requirements of users and traffic flow equilibri­ urn, the fusion framework of urban traffic control and route guidance was studied. The characteristics of an urban traffic control and route guidance system and a cyber-physical system (CPS) were analyzed, and the relationship between such systems was examined. The technical requirements of the application of CPS theory to an urban traffic control and route guidance system were discussed. Based on the components of a dynamic urban traffic flow guidance system (UTFGS) and urban traffic control system ( UTCS), considering the man-machine system characteristics of CPS, and in the light of relevance, conflict, and solution method of both systems, a fusion framework for urban traffic control and route guidance based on the CPS was proposed. This framework involves computation, communication, control, and physical components that facilitate the enhancement of the fusion degree of the UTFGS and the UTCS. The proposed framework focuses on the technical analysis of the feasibility of the depth fu­ sion of both systems and provides a theoretical basis for the implementation of urban traffic control and route guidance fusion in intelligent traffic systems.

Analysis of Dynamic Impedance Functions in Urban Traffic Flow Guidance System

The successful application of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) depends on the traffic flow at any time with high-precision and large-scale assessments, it is necessary to create a dynamic traffic network model to evaluate and forecast traffic. Dynamic route choice model sections of the run-time function are very important to the dynamic traffic network model. To simplify the dynamic traffic modeling, improve the calculation accuracy and save computation time, the flow on the section of the interrelationship between the exit flow and number of vehicles are analyzed, a run-time functions into the flow using only sections of the said sections are established.

Applicable Prevention Method of Braess Paradox in Urban Traffic Flow Guidance System

Urban Traffic Flow Guidance System (UTFGS) may cause the overreaction and concentration of travelers and lead to the phenomenon of Braess Paradox. The paper develops a constrained K-shortest paths algorithm within a dynamic restricted searching area in consideration of realistic road network spatial distribution features. Through the test with the microscopic transportation simulation tool VISSIM, the algorithm could not only decrease the searching scale but also efficiently balance the traffic flow in the net and avoid the phenomenon of Braess Paradox.

A Dynamic Traffic Coordination Control Model of Congestion Based on Synergetics

The cooperation of urban traffic control system and urban traffic flow guidance system may perform an important role in alleviating traffic congestion. To achieve this objective, a dynamic traffic coordination control model of traffic congestion based on synergetics is proposed in this paper. After that approach, a simulation scheme based on VISSIM 4.2 is carried to evaluate the reliability of the model. The results proved that the whole system could benefit a lot.
