The International Congress on Innovation and Appropriation of the Technologies of Information and Communications (CIATIC) is an initiative of the Network of Computer Engineering and Related Programs of North-Eastern Colombia. Accordingly, the CIATIC is a space for promoting and developing innovation and appropriation of information and communication technologies by facilitating the exchange and transfer of knowledge through the presentation of research advances in technological trends, as well as allowing the creation of collaborative networks to generate research and innovation in the field.The sixth version of the International Congress on Innovation and Appropriation of the Technologies of Information and Communications (VI CIATIC) was held in the municipality of Ocaña, in the department of Norte de Santander, Colombia, on 25-27 September 2019. The “Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, Seccional Ocaña”, Colombia, hosted the event. The universities that participated in 2019 as co-organizers of the Congress and are part of the Northeast region were: Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB), headquarter Bucaramanga, Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB), Universidad Popular del Cesar (UPC), headquarter Aguachica, Fundación Universitaria de San Gil (UNISANGIL), and the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander (UFPS), headquarters San José de Cúcuta and Ocaña. The participation of the universities, contributed to the internationalization, with the participation of professors and researchers from different countries of the American and European continent, such as, Mexico, United States, Ecuador, Sweden, Venezuela, Chile, and of course, Colombia, which allowed strengthening the research processes and know the different current trends on information and communication technologies.List of Organizing Committee, International Scientific Committee, National Scientific Committee and Sponsors are available in this pdf.
