Commander Edward Joseph Fahy, U.S.N., graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1934. After three years in heavy cruisers, he entered submarine service in 1937. He took two year postgraduate course in Electronics Engineering. He commanded U.S.S. Plunger in the Pacific during World War II. During the last year of the war served on the staff of Commander Submarine Training Command, Pacific as New Developments — Electronics Officer. Presently in charge of the Ship Installation and Maintenance Branch of the Electronics Division of BuShips. Duties involve not only responsibility for installation and maintenance of shipboard electronics equipment for U. S. Fleet, but also the design planning for electronics installations incident to new construction, conversions, and preliminary ship designs. Awards—Legion of Merit, two letters of commendation with ribbons, with combat “V”s, and Navy Unit Commendation for war patrols in U.S.S. Plunger.Search for more papers by this author Commander Edw.
