Family Support and Quality of Life for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Patients Hemodialysis Therapy at Undata Hospital

Terminal kidney disease is used by government agencies such as the Heath Care Financing Administration (HCFA) which is a synonym for advanced stage chronic kidney failure. Hemodialysis action indirectly affects the quality of life of a patient which includes physical health, psychological condition, spirituality, socioeconomic status and family dynamics experiencing anxiety, stress and even depression. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between family support and the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Undata Hospital Palu. The research design used is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach. The independent variable is family support and the dependent variable is the quality of life. Data analysis using chi square statistical test, significant value 0.05. The results showed that there was a relationship between family support and the quality of life of CKD patients in the hemodialysis unit of RSUD Undata Palu with p value = 0.000. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between family support and the quality of life of CKD patients in the hemodialysis unit of RSUD Undata Palu. It is recommended that nurses can increase the role of nurses in terms of increasing education to patients and their families regarding hemodialysis actions

Effect of Metformin Therapy on Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) Levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients at Undata Hospital in Palu City Central Sulawesi

Background: Metformin, which can control blood glucose levels, can reduce LDL levels in type 2 DM patients. Objectives: To determine the mean value of pre and post LDL in type 2 DM patients after receiving metformin therapy for three months. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study with a prospective approach, It was done by conducting pre and post examination of LDL levels using metformin. This study was analyzed using the SPSS Wilcoxon statistical test. The total sample that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was 18 respondents. Results: This study used a single metformin value (sig = 0.000 <0.05) with a baseline mean value of 148.22 mg / dL and an evaluation of 133.56 mg / dL where the difference in reduction was 14.66 mg / dL. Conclusion: There was a decrease in LDL levels in type 2 DM patients after using metformin for three months.

Case Study Of Standard Nutrition Care Process Of Hypertensive Heart Disease Patients in Pavilion Seroja at Undata Regional Hospital Palu Central Sulawesi Province

Hypertension is a disease that requires a standardized nutritional care process (NCP). This is because hypertension can become an advanced and chronic disease that has a serious impact on the health of the body, causing complications. This study aims to perform NCP on hypertensive patients in the Seroja Pavilion class II UPT. Undata Hospital Palu. This study is a review of research with a case study approach (Case Study), with samples 1, and was diagnosed with Hypertensive Heart Disease (HHD). The data collected were anthropometry (weight and height), food intake, food habits, client history, socio-culture, biochemical examination results, and physical/clinical examination. The data collection technique is obtained from primary data which is collected directly from the patient and the patient's family, and secondary data is obtained through the patient's medical record. The results showed an increase in the patient's food intake, namely 88.0% energy, 113.4% protein, 48.3% fat, and 95.5% carbohydrates, no change in body weight, and an increase in nutritional knowledge. Diagnoses at the start of the study included NI-2.1, NI-5.4, NC-2.2, NB-1.1 until at the end of the study being N-2.1 and NI-5.4. The interventions given included Low Salt Diet III, soft food form, 3 times main meal frequency, 2x interlude, with oral route. In conclusion, there were changes in intake, physical/clinical as well as knowledge/attitudes of patients on hypertension that had been given NCP.

Correlation between Emotional Intelligence and Nurse Work Stress in Hospitalization Services, Undata Hospital

BACKGROUND: The high work demands on nurses in their work, the greater the possibility of a nurse experiencing work stress. AIM: This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, empathy, and social skills with the work stress among nurses in the hospitalization services of Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. METHOD: It was a quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach and using the accidental sampling method. Data were collected by a questionnaire with a Likert scale and the WHO DASS questionnaire toward 63 respondents and statistically analyzed using the Chi-square test. RESULTS: A relationship between self-awareness (p = 0.034), self-management (p = 0.044), self-motivation (p = 0.012), empathy (p = 0.021), and social skills (p = 0.026) with work stress among nurses in hospitalization services of Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. CONCLUSION: Emotional intelligence affects the nurses’ work stress in a hospital during work implementation.

Application of a Patient Safety Culture in Undata Palu Hospital

Introduction: The Word Health Organization suggests that developed countries focus more on knowledge of standardized mechanisms and organizational factors that cause unsafe care for patients, such as those related to miscommunication, eg coordination, human error and the need to improve patient safety culture. Patient safety culture is a major and fundamental factor because building a patient safety culture is a way to build an overall patient safety program. This study aims to determine the applicationof patients safety culture at Undata Hospital, Palu, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Method: Using a survey questionnaire, this study explores differences in the application of of patient safety cultures in patient, critical and emergency rooms. The research samples of 157 people obtained through the use of probability sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using Fisher's exact test. The statistic show that there are differences in the application of safety culture in patient, critical and emergency rooms. Because there are differences in the application of safety culture between rooms, the statistical analysis was continued with the Post Hoc Mann-Whitney test. Results: The results showed that statistically there was no difference in the application of patient safety culture between inpatient and critical rooms because p = 0.643 (p> 0,05 ), a difference in the application of patient safety culture between in patient and emergency rooms because p = 0.011 (p <0,05), a difference in the application of patient safety culture between critical rooms and emergency rooms because p = 0.049 (p<0.05).

Good Hospital Governance at the Indonesian Hospital

This study aims to describe the commitment of stakeholders in implementing the Good Hospital Governance policy at the Undata Regional General Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative exploratory approach with 13 (thirteen) informants who were determined by purposive sampling, the data analysis used was an interactive model data analysis from Miles and Huberman by triangulating methods and data sources. The results showed that the successful implementation of the Good Hospital Governance policy at Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province which was viewed from 6 (six) supporting aspects of the implementation of the Van Metter and Van Horn policies had not been running properly. That is; aspects of resources, aspects of the characteristics of the executing agent, aspects of the attitudes/tendencies (dispositions) of the executing agents, and aspects of the external environment (economic, social, and political). Besides, an implementation must also be supported by the commitment of the owner, board of directors, and management as well as all hospital staff, to implement the principles of transparency, accountability, independence, responsibility, equality, and fairness.

The hospital is one of the health service industries which initially only carried out activities and recovery. However, with the development of science and technology, hospitals tooIncreasing efforts to improve service quality. The purpose of This research is to see the overview of the usual leftovers that are served given garnish and not given garnish in the VIP room of Undata Hospital Palu, Central Sulawesi Province. This research method is descriptive. The results obtained were 6 respondents for the food given Garnish, of the 6 respondents there is no leftover.While 6 respondents for food that was not given garnish, out of 6 respondents only 1 respondent whose were not leftover and 5 respondents had leftovers (staple food, animal side dishes, vegetable side dishes, vegetables).

Policy implementation of No Smoking area in Undata Public Hospital Palu City

The determination of the No Smoking Area is an effort to protect the community against the risk of health problems due to the environment contaminated with cigarette smoke. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the No Smoking Area policy at the Undata Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Palu, especially in the aspects of communication, resources, disposition. , and bureaucratic structures. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Determination of informants is done through purposive sampling technique, namely the researcher uses his judgment in selecting informants to obtain in-depth information according to the research objectives. the concept of communication is good enough. The KTR Task Force at Undata Hospital uses print and electronic media. In the resource variable, the results are not good enough. The KTR Task Force at Undata Hospital is still lacking in terms of the number, namely only 15 people previously numbered 30 people. The disposition variables obtained in this study are good enough. The appointment of the KTR task force at Undata Hospital is directly selected by the hospital director, but the supervisory officers still lack incentives. In the bureaucratic structure variable, the results were quite good. The most authorized person in implementing the implementation of the KTR policy implementation at the Undata Hospital Palu is the Task Force coordinator. The suggestion in this research is that the KTR Task Force at Undata Hospital should be added and the Undata Hospital should create a smoking area.

Risk Factors for Breast Cancer in Undata Hospital, Palu

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, and men have a 1: 1000 chance of developing this disease. One in three people in the world will create some form of cancer in their lifetime, and in women, the most likely is breast cancer. This research is defined as an analytical study which aims to obtain an explanation of the risk factors associated with a disease. The method used was observational with a case-control approach, which is an epidemiological study design that studies the relationship between exposure and disease by comparing the case group and the control group, the sample size in the study, both cases and controls, each of 30 people. Based on the results of the study, age is a protective factor against the incidence of breast cancer at Undata Hospital Palu with an OR = 0.87 95% CI = 0.316-2.14, age of menarche is a risk factor for breast cancer with an OR = 1.52 CI 95% = 0.53-4.36, age at first gestation is a risk factor for the incidence of breast cancer in Undata Palu Hospital OR = 1.31 95% CI = 0.47-3.65, a history of breast cancer is a risk factor for the incidence of breast cancer in RSUD Undata Palu OR = 1.30 95% CI = 0.47-3.61. The hospital should cooperate with the city and provincial health offices in terms of promotion and prevention of breast cancer so that people know about breast cancer risk factors and people can carry out early detection so that breast cancer can be prevented or detected early and people living with breast cancer can be reduced by checking your breasts (BSE).

Overview Of Nurse's Workload In The Emergency Room Of The Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province

In Undata hospitals there are 31 nurses in the emergency room. This is not comparable to the number of emergency room visits in the last three years, which increased from 2016 as much 13,571 people, 2017 increased by 14,508 people, and 2018 sending 15,597 people. Whereas the average number of patient visits each day is 60 patients. Based on the calculation formula according to Gillies (1994) in Idris (2017), the emergency room requires 36 nurses. While nurses in the emergency room Undata Hospital only amounted to 31 people. This study aims to look at the description of the workload of nurses in the Emergency Room Installation (IGD) Undata Hospital of Central Sulawesi Province. This type of research uses quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The research sample of 31 respondents with inclusion criteria nurses who work in the emergency room and nurses who are not in a state of work and education leave. The results showed that direct nursing activities, namely respondents stated weight as much as 31 people (100%), and indirect nursing activities, namely respondents stated weight as much as 31 people (100%). Hospital management should pay attention to the nurses workload again, by increasing the number of nurses in the emergency room, referring to the Republic of Indonesia Ministerial Regulation No. 340 article 11 of 2010, type B hospital care ratio that is 1 nurse serving 1 patient and evaluating performance nursing regularly to improve the quality of nursing care.
 

Analysis of medical specialist satisfaction of Mokopido Hospital Tolitoli and Undata Hospital Palu about national health insurance's implementation

This study aimed to anilise medical specialist's satisfaction about the implementation of national health insurance. This is a qualitative study with realist evaluation approach at Mokopido Tolitoli and Undata Hospital, interview was done to 24 specialists. The most of medical specialists have less satisfied about national health insurance because of the decision and action autonomy, INA-CBGs payment system, administrative procedure, salary, and chance to thrive. National health insurance assessed to intervene medical aspect and INA-CBGs claim is too low so that can distract autonomy of medical specialist. The fare of INA-CBGs is lower than unit cost and establishment was not clear. National health insurance's administrative procedure is quite complicated and it needs a long time. The main factor that influent medical specialist satisfaction about national health insurance is INA CBGs's fare.

Condition of Houses with Smoking Habits in Patients with Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the direct infectious diseases caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis which can attack various organs, especially the lungs. Pulmonary TB can be transmitted through the air, the longer and nearer a person contacts with the source of transmission, the greater the chance of contracting it. This study aims to describe the factors that can influence the incidence of pulmonary TB in patients at Undata Hospital, Palu. This study used a cross-sectional study design to describe the factors that influence the incidence of pulmonary TB in 15 patients with pulmonary TB MDR (Multi-Drug Resistant). The results showed that patients who had the most pulmonary TB were male (53.3%), aged or more than 40 years (53.3%), high school education level (46.7%), damaged house condition (73.3%), and have smoking habits (53.3%). Patients of the male sex, old age, high school education level, damaged housing conditions, and smoking habits are the most common factors for MDR pulmonary TB patients

Antidotes drug is indicated in intoxication or poisoning patients, in addition to the antidote drugs, it can also be used as an appropriate therapeutic indication of his own medicine. The high increasing number of the antidote drug used every year in inpatient instalation Undata hospital, for exmple atropine, N-acetylcysteine and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). Therefore, this study aims to determine the percentage of drug use of antidote category indicated as an antidote therapy in Undata hospitals Central Sulawesi Province period 2016-2018. This is a descriptive study with retrospective approach and using purposive sampling techniques.The results showed that the sample size was 75 patients, with the percentage of drug use as antidotes category in Undata Hospital Central Sulawesi province period 2016-2018, namely pyridoxine (vitamin B6) of 49.33%, N-acetylcysteine drug of 42.66% and the atropine drug of 8%. The use of antidotes drug category are indicated as an antidote to the poisoning therapy drugs obtained 0%. It can be concluded that there is no antidote drug category that used as an antidote therapy on patients with drug poisoning in inpatient instalation Undata hospital Central Sulawesi Province Period 2016-2018.

PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIFITAS TEKNIK RELAKSASI DAN GENGGAMAN JARI TERHADAP PENURUNAN NYERI PADA PASIEN POST OPERASI SECTIO CAESARE DI RUMAH SAKIT UNDATA PROVINSI SULAWESI TENGAH

ABSTRACTRelaxation technique and finger grasping is one of relaxation therapy that could help patient in self controlling when feeling pain or uncomfortable, physical stress and pain irritable. The aim of this research to identify the effectivennes ratio of relaxation technique and finger grasping toward reducing of pain for post op section caesarea patient in Matahari Ward of Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. This is quantitative research with quasy experiment (pre and post test without control). This research done from July 25 until August 27, 2018. All patient underwent section caesarea operation in Matahari Ward of Undata Hospital are population of this research was. Sample was calculated using by average two tail formula with σ2=5,36, μo=5,07, μa=1,80, α=1,96 and β= 0,84 that the sample is 8 respondent taken by quota sampling technique. Data was calculated using Wilcoxon test with α-value=0,05 or 95% get p-value=0,011(α≤0,05). Result found of pretest that have most respondent is suffered heavy pain controlled and posttest that have most respondent is suffered mild pain. Conclusion, that have Effectivennes Ratio relaxation technique and finger grasping toward reducing of pain for post op section caesarea patient in Matahari Ward of Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. Model Evaluasi Penerimaan Pengguna Sistem Informasi Rekam Medis di Sektor Kesehatan

In the development of advanced technology, information users are required to follow the progress that has grown rapidly. One of the programs implemented by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has issued a policy that guides the implementation of health development implemented by the government and private sector in order to improve the quality of information in this case the quality of medical record information. And one of the efforts to improve the quality of medical record information in the hospital in the form of the application of Medical Record Information System (SIRM). Application of SIRM is currently experiencing obstacles and barriers in the level of user acceptance. There are still many things that are operational and managerial, making the implementation of SIRM is not going well. . This study evaluates the results of SIRM implementation to process the data of inpatients at Undata Hospital of Central Sulawesi Province from the user acceptance level, using the combined model of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT) and Human, Organization, Technology Fit (HOT Fit ).

Kesesuaian Pelaksanaan Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM) Bidang Farmasi Di Instalasi Farmasi Rumah Sakit Undata Palu

This study aims to determine the suitability of the implementation of the Pharmacy Minimum Service Standards in the hospital at pharmacy section that includes: the length of service waiting time of compounded and available drugs, no error incident of drug administration and prescribing in refer to the formulation at the pharmacy installation, outpatient unit, in Undata Hospital, Palu. This study is a descriptive with quantitative data retrieval. Samples were prescription entered at the Undata hospital in the period from February to May 2016 including 12 sheets of cash prescription, 10 sheets of cash compounded prescription, 188 sheets of guarantee prescription and 187 sheets of guarantee compounded prescription. The results showed that the average length of services waiting time of cash prescriptions was 06 minutes 12 seconds, guarantee prescriptions was 07 minutes 01 seconds, cash compounded prescriptions was 17 minutes 02 seconds, guarantee compounded prescriptions was 16 minutes 05, no error incidence of drug administration was 100% and prescribing in refer to the formularium was 66.2%. These were in accordance to the standard of Kepmenkes RI No. 129 year 2008, except for prescribing in refer to the formularium. Therefore, it is suggested for drugs order should follow the hospital formularium

PROFIL PENGOBATAN PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 DI INSTALASI RAWAT INAP RSUD UNDATA PALU TAHUN 2012

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease prevalence increasing year by year. DM disease characterized by hyperglikemia that caused by abnormalities of insulin secretion, insulin activity or both. DM consists of two main types, namely DM type 1 and type 2. This research aims to know the profile of the treatment of type 2 DM in Undata hospital using method a retrospective medical record by noting that in accordance with the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. Among 147 population, 69 was taken as samples, then its characteristic were described based on each variable, resulting in a frequency distribution and proportion of each variable. The results showed that the most common therapy for type 2 DM was rapid acting insulin (novorapid), and the most common used of oral antidiabetic was metformin, and is most often treatment was combination of metformin and glimepirid.
