The article analyzes the activities of the State Scientific Institution “Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Technical Expertise and Information”, which has reached the level of a modern information hub, where various innovative developments are concentrated, consulting support is provided for the activities of business incubators, integration technology arenas; coordination of joint research, etc. Scientific, technical, professional, practical and educational activities of UkrISTEI contribute to solving the problems of disseminating information on leading approaches and factors that have a productive impact on the dynamics of economic activity. The rapid progress of Ukraine towards integration into the European community is substantiated and highly appreciated in order to ensure the social welfare of the population and the country at the European level, which will allow for the successful implementation of innovation policy. Attention is drawn to the need for international cooperation with active involvement of the world's best scientific and technical experience, and entry into international structures with the participation of the state. In the post-war period, Ukraine will need accelerated scientific and technological development, which will be actively promoted by a balanced patent and license policy, acquisition of foreign technological developments by business entities in order to form and stimulate the development of domestic scientific and technological potential.

THE ROLE OF THE NATIONAL CONSORTIUM ORCID UKRAINE IN ADVANCING OPEN SCIENCE POLICY

This article explores the pivotal role played by the National Consortium ORCID Ukraine in effectively implementing the Open Science Policy within the Ukrainian research landscape. . The article delves into the strategies employed by the consortium to promote ORCID iDs (Open Researcher and Contributor IDs) and their integration into various research processes to enhance research transparency, streamline collaboration, and establish a robust foundation for open science practices. Emphasizing the significance of ORCID iDs in uniquely identifying researchers, the discussion also highlights their impact on reducing authorship ambiguity and ensuring accurate attribution of scholarly contributions. Furthermore, the article explores the broader implications of promoting open science in Ukraine, emphasizing the positive correlation between research transparency and economic development. It is shown that by facilitating a more transparent and collaborative research environment, the National Consortium ORCID Ukraine generates high-quality research outputs, fosters innovation, and attracts investment. The experiences and successes of the consortium in advocating for open science principles, along with the challenges encountered and lessons learned, are detailed. Particularly, it highlighted the challenges and the technical complexity associated with using the ORCID Affiliation Manager tool by Ukrainian research institutes and ensuring compatibility and seamless data transfer between the digital repository system DSpace and the editorial workflows of the publishing platform OJS. The article concludes by underscoring the critical role that initiatives like the National Consortium ORCID Ukraine play in shaping a research ecosystem that not only adheres to open science principles but also stimulates economic growth through knowledge dissemination and collaboration.

Implementing media educational technology in Ukrainian preschool institutions

This study investigates the implementation of media educational technology in preschool institutions in Ukraine. The increasing prevalence of media manipulation, fake information, and uncontrolled media consumption among children necessitates media education from an early age. The research involved developing and experimentally testing a model for media educational technology tailored for preschoolers aged 5-6 years. The technology encompasses a three-stage process: diagnostic-target, integrational, and analytical, incorporating various forms, methods, and means of media education activities. A key component is innovative “media educational tales” designed to engage children in learning about media literacy concepts. The effectiveness of the technology was evaluated through a confirmatory experiment conducted in multiple preschool institutions across Ukraine, involving 384 respondents. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in media literacy levels among children in the experimental groups, with 20.9% achieving a high level and 61.7% reaching a sufficient level after implementing the technology. The study highlights the feasibility and positive impact of implementing structured media educational approaches in preschool settings while also revealing the need for further training and support for preschool teachers in this domain.

REFINING METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO ENHANCE TEACHING QUALITY AT THE DEPARTMENT OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES WITH EPIDEMIOLOGY

Reforming Ukrainian higher medical education is imperative, not only to address issues related to the recognition of Ukrainian diplomas abroad and to enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian medical institutions and their graduates on the European and global job markets, but also to elevate the efficiency and quality of education. Furthermore, the recent full-scale invasion has resulted in the loss of a significant potential in medical universities across the southeastern region of Ukraine.
 Amidst the ongoing reform of the Ukrainian higher education system, all institutions are transitioning towards a competency-based approach. This approach aims to cultivate and foster specific types and subtypes of competencies in students by ensuring comprehensive assimilation of essential knowledge and practical methodologies.
 The training of highly skilled medical professionals encompasses multidisciplinary education, extending beyond therapy to encompass knowledge spanning over two dozen specialties. Of utmost importance is the ability to diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic therapeutic and surgical conditions, as well as to provide urgent medical assistance.
 The epidemiological landscape concerning numerous infectious diseases in various countries remains volatile. Incidences of viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, influenza, SARS, AIDS, Lyme borreliosis, among others, continue to rise in Ukraine and neighboring regions. A completely new challenge for the world community is the outbreak of Ebola fever in West Africa, monkeypox and its spread around the world. The appearance of pathogens of infectious diseases resistant to previously developed effective drugs is a cause for concern. Nowadays, the global crisis precipitated by the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, underscores the urgency for education on emerging and re-emerging infections.
 Given these challenges, the qualification level of future specialists in infectious diseases and epidemiology assumes paramount importance. These professionals must be equipped to organize and deliver medical care under adverse conditions such as war, pandemics, shortages of medical personnel and medications, and a dearth of theoretical and practical knowledge, especially in the face of new infections. To facilitate optimal learning amidst such crises, a phased approach is proposed that includes centralized distance education, methodological support, and practical skill acquisition. By implementing these measures, the assimilation of material and the quality of education can be enhanced for those seeking education during times of crisis.

Language Testing of Pre-service Foreign language Teachers in their Professional Development

Introduction. Changes in educational goals in Ukraine, predicated by its accession to the pan-European space of higher education, have necessitated a review not only of teaching methods but also of teaching and learning materials These materials should aim to improve the language proficiency of pre-service students while equipping them with the tools necessary to address potential challenges in the classroom. Purpose. The article aims to scrutinize the role of language testing in the professional development of pre-service foreign language teachers. Methods. Reviewing studies on Methods for foreign language teaching and learning, Psychology, Pedagogy, Linguistics; analysis of curricula, syllabi, international tests, textbooks, study guides, dictionaries, including authentic ones; scientifically rigorous observation of the educational process; summarizing the positive work experience of university teachers. Results. Recognizing the lack of teaching materials, a group of university teachers from Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences developed and published a manual “English Tests For University Students”. Subsequent experience with the book revealed the students’ positive attitudes towards language testing for assessing their foreign language communicative competence, citing its objectivity and validity. University teachers also highlighted the practicality, convenience, and cost-effectiveness of this form of assessment. Conclusion. Overall, despite obvious advantages of and progress in language testing, its wide-scale implementation requires university teachers to possess adequate knowledge and experience in this area, as well as awareness and readiness for its regular use in the classroom. Moreover, the development of tests remains challenging due to its time-consuming nature and the need for relevant theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and experience. This has resulted in a shortage of tests for pre-service foreign language teachers. Further research in this domain seems perspective for our future work.

Strategic directions of the development of higher education in Ukraine

Modern dynamic changes affect the development of higher education. This confirms the urge to actualize quality planning considering rapid educational transformations and a significant set of challenges. The purpose of this study is to theoretically and methodologically substantiate promising strategic areas of higher education in Ukraine. The paper identifies the key aspects of the modern strategy of higher education in the context of its key trends. It highlights the critical role of strategy to support the long-term success of the higher education sector in modern conditions. The necessity of considering a wide range of interests by groups of key stakeholders in the education sector is emphasized. The paper also stresses the importance of sustainable development goals to form and implement a modern higher education strategy. It is highlighted that the modern strategy of higher education covers the whole complex of drivers of exogenous and endogenous nature, which determines the vector of development. Comparative analysis is used to determine the peculiarities of the state of modern strategies of higher education on the example of Ukrainian and Polish higher education institutions. This comparative analysis of modern strategies of higher education stresses a number of differences between the state of the strategy for Ukraine and Poland. This study may be useful for researchers and analysts in eduction sector, non-profit organizations in the field of higher education, higher education institutions, international organizations, and public and local authorities. Prospects for further research are the deepening of modern strategies of higher education in the key European integration movements of Ukraine.

Creating an Innovative Ecosystem for the Development of Unmanned Aviation in Ukraine: Synergy Between Science and Industry

Abstract In this paper we advocate for the establishment of an aviation “innovative ecosystem” in Ukraine, particularly regarding the technology of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This ambitious strategy necessitates the introduction of new business models, taking advantage of new opportunities for achieving sustainable development goals in the increasingly resource-limited world. Moreover, this initiative faces a notable challenge: navigating the “double transition” of adopting both green and digital transformations across multiple domains. We believe the solution to creating an innovative ecosystem lies in harnessing the intellectual and infrastructural capabilities of top-tier research institutions – which in Ukraine include the National Aviation University (NAU) and the National Technical University “KPI.” By combining the efforts of Ukrainian higher education institutions and actively enhancing international cooperation, in particular with the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation in Warsaw – we argue – Ukraine can expedite the development of “factories” of ideas and innovations by supporting the training, incubation and growth of startups, encourage the formation of micro and small high-tech enterprises and bringing their products to global and regional markets, improving the mechanisms of interaction of the startup teams with venture capital funds and investment companies.

The Great Terror in 1930s Kharkiv: The Case of Konrad Weisselberg and Anna Mykalo

The article presents the fate of Konrad Weisselberg (1905–1937) and his wife Anna (Galia) Mykalo (1914–1989), shedding light on the intensification of violence in Kharkiv in the 1930s and on the mechanisms of the Great Terror. Weisselberg was a chemist, an Austrian communist of Jewish origin, an ideological immigrant to the USSR, and a little-known victim of Stalin’s purges. Anna Mykalo was a peasant worker who moved to Kharkiv just before the Stalinist regime locked peasants in the countryside. The couple was associated with the Ukrainian Institute of Physics and Technology (UPTI), where prominent physicists—Soviet and foreign—worked in the 1930s. Their story is linked to post-revolutionary Kharkiv, a city of industrial utopia and the site of the Great Famine and the Great Terror.

ADAPTATION COMPONENT AS A CONSTITUENT OF FOREIGN STUDENTS SUCCESSFUL TRAINING IN MEDICAL UNIVERSITIES OF UKRAINE

Abstract. The article highlights the main tasks of higher medical education in Ukraine. It is noted that one of the global tasks of higher medical education development in Ukraine is the qualitative training of foreign students. The successful process of their education is a kind of indicator of high level of education in Ukraine, a confirmation of its international scientific, educational and cultural authority. It is indicated that attraction of foreign students to Ukrainian medical institutions of higher education performs not only economic functions, replenishing the country's budget at the expense of students studying on a contract form of education, but also stimulates cultural exchange between countries, affects the formation of future medical elite. Foreign students who remain in our country after graduating from Ukrainian higher education institutions have particular interest for the research. During their studies, they not only receive education, but also master the Ukrainian language, adapt to economic, cultural and other living conditions. Such graduates are very valuable for the future of our country. In connection with this, the question of adaptation of foreign students to living and studying in Ukraine is being brought up to date as the quality of education and professional socialization of foreigners depends on its success.

Foreigners find themselves in an unfamiliar cultural, linguistic, household and social environment, which they need to master, so the educational process is accompanied by adaptation to new living conditions. An important role in the process of foreign students’ adaptation in the universities of Ukraine has the organization of the educational process itself and the direct participation of the teacher in it. However, the successful implementation of the adaptation component is facilitated not only by classroom work, but also by extracurricular work, as it is an integral part of educational and educational processes.

Synergies in Developing Pre-Service Teachers’ Language Assessment Literacy in Ukrainian Universities

Developing the language assessment literacy (LAL) of pre-service foreign language (FL) teachers is thought to be beneficial both to trainee teachers themselves and to their future students and schools. However, it also presents a number of challenges to teacher educators involved in training these cohorts. Ensuring that pre-service FL teachers are fully confident and competent in assessment requires the design of a preparation programme that is detailed and relevant to their needs. While Taylor has argued that different stakeholders have different language assessment literacy needs, there will also be different needs within groups according to their specific assessment responsibilities. Thus, for language educators, the needs of pre-service teachers are likely to be different from those of in-service classroom teachers, and this should be reflected in the content of their training. However, research has shown that across Europe, training practices vary considerably, often with no training provided in teacher training programmes at all. In this study, I address this issue through a discussion of current approaches to the pre-service development of language assessment literacy across Ukrainian universities. Due to the principle of organizing the learning process at Ukrainian tertiary institutions in blocks of disciplines of general and professional preparation and practical training, students acquire knowledge and develop skills in the field of assessment gradually, through studying various subjects, and not only within one course. This interaction of different subjects with each other and with school placements presents synergies that can enhance LAL, if the corresponding programme takes into account these connections. In order to have a full picture of Ukrainian pre-service teachers’ language assessment development, the current study presents a description of the training system and its LAL-related components retrieved from educational and professional training programmes and discipline curricula of the Ukrainian universities providing relevant preparation programmes. I provide a list of components and discuss didactic conditions that aid the acquisition of LAL by future teachers. I argue that these synergies in the Ukrainian system may provide a useful example of practice for other universities in the European context.

To save a cultural heritage: Lessons from a volunteer network’s support to Ukrainian cultural heritage institutions

This paper is a short summary of the experiences from the first one and a half years of support to the Ukrainian cultural heritage sector from the international volunteer network SUCHO (Saving Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Online). The paper first outlines the current situation in Ukraine in the shadow of the full-scale Russian invasion and then focuses on the role of grassroots movements and the different forms of support provided by SUCHO. Finally, the paper discusses some key experiences from these efforts and addresses ideas for further support.

Organization of career guidance work in Ukrainian vocational education institutions with the implementation of interactive technologies

Vocational guidance is one of the key directions in the work of any vocational education institution, as it provides an opportunity to promote the professions offered by the institution. Rational presentation of educational programs allows future applicants to approach the choice of a profession in a well-founded manner, relying not only on general knowledge but also gaining a thorough understanding of all the nuances and requirements of a specific future profession. To achieve this, vocational education institutions hold open days several times a year, where they conduct master classes on professions represented by the institutions, provide general information about the institution, and educational programs. The algorithm of actions is always the same, but the question arises of how to diversify this work, make it more relevant and effective, taking into account the particularly challenging times for our country. This is where modern technologies come to our aid. Therefore, in order to ultimately obtain highly qualified workers and ensure that each learner has their status in society, we need to expand the possibilities of vocational guidance by introducing modern technologies into its implementation.

Digitalisation and professional training of medical specialists in Ukrainian universities: A case study in health education

Relevance. The COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of martial law in Ukraine have contributed to the increased use of digital technologies in all spheres of life, including education.Purpose. The purpose of this study was to identify ways to improve professional training in Ukrainian higher education institutions in the context of digitalisation of education, specifically in the healthcare sector.Methodology. To fulfil this purpose, the methods of analysis and synthesis, as well as the interview method and the author�s questionnaire were used.Results. This paper covered the changes in the professional training of Ukrainian students caused by the active development of distance education and digital technologies. To obtain information on the professional training of specialists in the context of digitalisation, a study was conducted among 263 students of Ukrainian medical institutions. The findings of this study showed that students face difficulties in using modern technologies both when studying and in professional practice. Dynamic changes in the use of modern technologies in professional training require greater involvement of educational institutions in this process, namely: creating courses, electives, conducting trainings for students, holding online meetings with leading experts, introducing technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality into the educational process.Conclusions. It was found that effective training of specialists in the context of digitalisation of the educational process should be based on the following principles: the principle of consistency, the principle of activity, consciousness and independence, the principle of purposefulness, the principle of interaction between classroom, and independent learning activities. These principles are interdependent and ensure effective training of future specialists and develop in them the desire for self-education and lifelong development. The findings of this study can be used by the management of higher education institutions and teachers to improve the educational process in the context of digitalisation, as well as by students for professional self-improvement.

Innovative Methodologies and Approaches to Teaching with Artificial Intelligence in Ukrainian Higher Education

The aim of the research was to evaluate innovative methodology and approaches to teaching with AI in Ukrainian higher education and to outline the effective delivery practices. The research objectives were to explain AI-based teaching approaches and methods used in the Ukrainian institutions of higher education, to find the most effective teaching approaches and methods in the system of training of future specialists, and to develop the methodological recommendations for instructors involved in the training of future AI experts. Within the framework of the given research, a number of pedagogical articles and key documents devoted to the analysis of used artificial intelligence in teaching, and implementation of AI-based methodology were studied . Over 50 scientific that were published during the recent five years to understand the problem and to evaluate the improvements brought by AI were selected. A mixed methodology that combined descriptive, association, and intervention methods was applied. Descriptive methods included literature review, narrative, content analysis of educational and professional programs, as well as the phenomenological approach. Associational methods included predictive analysis aimed at forecasting of the probability of innovative methodology and approaches that impact the AI education. The intervention suggested using a survey and an assessment. The research included 42 instructors of Ukrainian institutions of higher education that were involved in the training of future AI experts. They represented graduating departments that were responsible for the development of educational and professional program, formulated the training objectives, and designed the conceptual framework for the creation of innovative educational environment with the use of AI. The research resulted in the development of methodical recommendations on using teaching methods and approaches in AI-powered higher education. The recommendations can be suggested by instructors at higher education institutions that are involved specifically in training future AI experts . Also, the recommendations are applicable for scientific and pedagogical stuff working on digitalisation of educational process.

Accommodation of activities of Ukrainian libraries under marital law

The purpose of the article is to provide an argumentative identification of a qualitatively new direction in the activities of Ukrainian libraries under martial law – socio-productive. The methodological basis of the article is based on general scientific methods such as abstract and logical, analysis, cognitive, and synthesis. Dialectical, objectivity, systemic, and structural-functional approaches to scientific knowledge are applied. The scientific novelty of the article consists in revealing the peculiarities of the functioning of Ukrainian libraries under martial law. Such traditional areas of activity in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, as information and communication, information and advisory, scientific, socio-cultural and local studies, should be supplemented with socio-productive ones. The proposed material enriches the theory of modern librarianship about the changing role of libraries in society under the influence of socio-political processes, determining the new quality of the Ukrainian library institute as an active participant in nation-building processes. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the application of the acquired best experience of library practice in the activities of library institutions of all systems and departments in order to positively strengthen their image and reputation. Conclusions. In the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the library social institute immediately reacted to the events in the state, changing the algorithm of its functioning with a reorientation to socio-political requests. Among the main traditional areas of activity, the socio-productive one definitely stood out. That is, the library has shown itself as an adaptive system that rationally transforms the work algorithm in order to maintain the optimal state in accordance with the changing conditions of the external environment. The genesis of the strategy for the development of the Ukrainian library and information sphere is consistent with the strategies of national economic, social and humanitarian development

METHODOLOGY FOR TEACHING THE HISTORY OF UKRAINIAN CULTURE IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF FORMING NATIONAL AND PATRIOTIC VALUES

The article highlights the main methodological recommendations based on the best international and domestic pedagogical experience on reforming approaches to solving the problem of nationalpatriotic education and understanding by students of Ukrainian higher education institutions of the essence of the concept of «national identity» in the context of shaping the trajectory of a new evolutionary stage of civil society. New effective ways to modernize the methods of national-patriotic education in the context of unpredictable challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian war are proposed. From the standpoint of comparative historical analysis, the appropriation of Ukrainian history and culture by the imperial and totalitarian regimes of Russia is actualized as a clear example.The key issues of the process of forming national identity and its awareness by civil society are analyzed objectively and comprehensively. Possible ways of introducing nation-building guidelines into the system of educational process of higher education institutions of Ukraine at the present stage are considered. The article highlights and distinguishes the value aspect of the concept of «national identity», analyzes the life and creative path of prominent Ukrainians who were killed or persecuted by imperial and totalitarian regimes because of their Ukrainian origin and attempts to counteract Ukrainophobic ideology.The article substantiates the leading role of the creative heritage of the great Kobzar, Taras Shevchenko, as an intellectual whose biography was falsified and distorted by imperial and totalitarian ideological censorship. The author emphasizes the role of Taras Shevchenko as a key to understanding the essence of Ukrainian identity and his role as a moral authority of the Ukrainian nation.The author emphasizes the advanced achievements of Ukrainians in the field of engineering and technology to foster a patriotic sense of pride in the Ukrainian people and its recognition on a global scale. The article examines the activities of leading representatives of the scientific elite in the context of the human dimension of national culture and its nationally consolidating categories. In particular, theauthor lists the achievements in various scientific and technical fields that contributed to the intensification of national processes and the establishment of a positive image of Ukraine on a global scale. As part of the coverage of the stated topic, a number of issues related to the popularization of knowledge about the evolution of national culture and the dissemination of information about its achievements are considered. The author of the article proposes effective methods, forms and means of forming a nationally conscious citizen-patriot in the framework of teaching socio-humanitarian educational components in Ukrainian higher education institutions. Specific methodological recommendations are presented, examples are given that will allow to implement the theoreticalprovisions.The author's experience in teaching the educational component «History of Culture of Ukraine» in higher education institutions will contribute to the intellectual and professional development of teachers and improve their qualifications. The recommendations presented in the article will be useful in intensifying the process of national and patriotic education as the basis of the entire educational process in the context of the forced challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The author emphasizes the importance of modernizing the content of education and introducing new innovative methods and forms of national-patriotic education and understanding the essence of the concept of «national identity» among higher education students as creators of the statehood future of Ukraine.

The Influence of the European Experts’ Activities on the Development of the Physical and Sports Movement in Yekaterinoslav Governorate (From the Second Half of the 19th Until Early 20th Centuries)

After the establishment of Ukraine as an independent state, the interest in investigating historical aspects of the development of physical culture and sports both in Ukraine and in its several regions increased significantly. The chronological framework of this study covers the period from the second half of the 19th century untilthe beginning of the 20th century, when, in the conditions of the progress of the industrial and economic potential and the influx of foreign experts,the foundations of physical culture and sports were laid in the Yekaterinoslav Governorate,one of the largest provinces in the south-eastern lands of Ukraine. The article identifies the peculiarities of the physical culture and sports movement in the region, reveals the role of foreign experts (from Europe) in the development of physical education in educational institutions, in organizing and conducting training classes within the Sokil Gymnastics system in gymnasiums and schools. The contribution of foreign experts in the creation of the first sports organizations and clubs from certain kindsof sports is highlighted. The special contribution of the Polish diaspora and its representative Ignacy Jasiukowicz into the development of academic rowing in the Yekaterinoslav Governorateis revealed.

ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF WAR ON THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY IN UKRAINE

This article examines and analyzes the statistics on the development of restaurant enterprises in Ukraine during the war, and presents innovative approaches to transformations that have occurred due to extraordinary events. Innovation, by definition, implies novelty, a recent change, or invention. Therefore, in this work, innovative approaches refer to the innovations introduced to enhance the resilience of the restaurant industry in Ukraine. To characterize and determine these changes, the operation of restaurant establishments was analyzed over the specified period 2020–2023 and indicators that affect the activity of restaurant establishments were identified. The impact of the state of emergency (war) on the functioning of public catering establishments was analyzed. It was determined that the war could have a significant impact on the restaurant industry in Ukraine on several levels: economic impact – the armed conflict can lead to a decrease in the purchasing power of the population due to reduced wages, unemployment, and a general economic downturn; security –military actions can complicate the operation of restaurants due to restricted access to certain areas or increased security threats for both staff and customers; supply – the war can disrupt supply chains, especially if restaurants rely on imported products, which can lead to increased food prices or even shortages; tourism – the war can deter tourists from visiting the country, leading to a reduction in the number of clients in restaurants, particularly in tourist locations. Innovative approaches and solutions that positively affect the stability of restaurant establishments in Ukraine were analyzed and systematized. Recommendations were developed to enhance the resilience of restaurant establishments during force majeure and emergency situations. Analyzing the transformations and the implemented innovative approaches in the restaurant sector of Ukraine is important for understanding the dynamics of changes and gaining experience for potential further adaptation to extraordinary conditions.

ОЦІНКА СТІЙКОСТІ УКРАЇНСЬКИХ БАНКІВ

The article is devoted to topical issues of assessing the stability of Ukrainian banking institutions. The stability of the banking system of Ukraine directly depends on the stability of each individual banking institution and their ability to constantly develop dynamically, and this, in turn, is determined by the macroeconomic stability of the state and the development of the market infrastructure, which is ensured by the mandatory observance of the basic corporate principles of the organization and conduct of banking activities, which are formed in the banking system with the active participation of the National Bank of Ukraine and commercial banks. The military aggression of the russian federation in Ukraine, the instability of the international financial sector and the unfavorable development of global economic processes have a significant impact on the state and confidence of participants in the Ukrainian banking sector, and as a result, on the stability of Ukrainian banking institutions. The deterioration of the stability of Ukrainian banks is connected with a number of problematic issues, namely: distrust of banking institutions of their clients; rather high credit risks caused by the imperfect structure of the Ukrainian economy; a significant increase in factors that affect the profile of banking risks. In general, the changes that have been taking place in the economy of Ukraine recently have a rather drastic impact on the pace and directions of development of the Ukrainian banking system. It is quite clear that today the assessment of the stability of Ukrainian banks is one of the priority tasks for both banking institutions and state bodies. The approaches used today to assess the stability of banking institutions differ in the composition of factors that are taken into account, the indicators that characterize the components of stability, the permissible values of these indicators, etc. Foreign experience regarding the application of certain mechanisms and methods to assess the stability of banking institutions is not always acceptable in domestic conditions and needs some adjustment. In this regard, in modern conditions, the solution of problematic issues regarding the development and implementation of an effective system for assessing the stability of Ukrainian banks and the banking system as a whole in the context of the integration of the Ukrainian economy into the world economy is of particular relevance.
