Implementation of the Partnering of the Faculty of Economics, UIN Malang with Madrasah Aliyah (MA) At-Taufiq Bogem Jombang in Increasing the Interest of Santri/Wati in Entrepreneurship

The aim of community service carried out by the Faculty of Economics at UIN Malang with the At-Taufiq Islamic Boarding School is; 1) to find out the results of the implementation of the Faculty of Economics UIN Malang partnership with the At-Taufiq Islamic Boarding School on the interest of santri and female students in entrepreneurship; 2) To find out what factors become obstacles in entrepreneurship. The community service activities the Faculty of Economics at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang carry out are seminars, interactive dialogues, and face-to-face group discussions. The number of participants who attended were 40 female students from the second and third grades of the Social Sciences Department Madrasah Aliyah. The results of this community service are; 1) To increase students' interest in entrepreneurship, this can be done by increasing the knowledge of students and female students related to the world of entrepreneurship; 2) To increase the motivation of santri and female students, provide material with displays in the form of pictures of someone successful in entrepreneurship as well as support from ustazd and ustazdah to the students.

Examining Self-Compassion, Social Support, And Mental Well-Being Among Fast Track Students at UIN Malang

This study explores the relationship between self-compassion, perceived social support, academic stress, and mental well-being among Fast Track students at UIN Malang. Adopting a quantitative approach, the research employs a correlational design to examine the interactions of these variables in a high-pressure academic environment. Data were collected from a 61% sample of Fast Track students using a structured questionnaire, incorporating validated scales for self-compassion, social support, academic stress, and mental well-being. The findings reveal that Fast Track students generally exhibit high self-compassion, significantly correlated with their mental well-being. High levels of self-kindness, mindfulness, and an awareness of shared humanity were prominent among the students, suggesting a solid psychological resilience. Perceived social support from family and friends significantly impacted overall well-being, though its direct influence on academic stress was more complex. The research did not find a significant direct relationship between self-compassion and academic stress, indicating that self-compassion aids in managing emotional responses to stress rather than reducing it.The study underscores the need for a holistic approach to supporting students in accelerated academic programs. The findings suggest that enhancing self-compassion and strengthening social support networks can improve students' academic performance and mental well-being. This research contributes to understanding students' psychological dynamics in high-pressure academic settings. It provides insights for developing targeted interventions and support systems to foster a balanced and supportive educational environment.

Cognitive Approach to the Use of Multimedia in Maharoh Kalam Learning

Mastery of speaking skills in learning Arabic often faces challenges related to student engagement and the effectiveness of traditional teaching methods. Conventional teaching methods are usually considered less attractive and unable to meet the learning needs of students effectively. This study aims to explore the use of multimedia based on a cognitive approach to improving students' speaking skills in the Special Arabic Language Learning Program (PKPBA) UIN Malang. Qualitative research methods were used, involving in-depth observations and interviews with students and faculty to collect data on the experience and impact of multimedia use. The results showed that multimedia designed with a cognitive approach significantly improved students' speaking skills, increased motivation, and enriched the learning experience. These findings make an important contribution to cognitive theory by demonstrating the practical application of multimedia in language learning, as well as providing guidance for educators in designing more effective learning materials. The Role of Halal Awareness, Halal Labels and Halal Lifestyle on the Decision to Purchase a Product in the Millennial Generation Era with Religiosity as a Moderating Variable (Postgraduate Student Study of Uin Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang)

This study aims to analyze the role of Halal Awareness, Halal Labels and Halal Lifestyle on the purchasing decision of a product in the millennial generation era with religiosity as a Moderation variable. This study aims to understand the factors that drive the millennial generation in purchasing decisions for a product, with a focus on how Religiosity can moderate Halal Awareness, Halal Labels and Halal Lifestyle in influencing Purchasing Decisions in the millennial generation era. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires aimed at Postgraduate Students of UIN Malang. The data was then processed using structural equation modeling (SEM), PLS-SEM method. The results of this study indicate that variables X1, X2, and X3 have a significant influence on purchasing decisions for a product. However, Religiosity as a moderation variable has not been able to moderate the variables of halal awareness and halal lifestyle

Analisis Motivasi Mahasiswa PAI 2020 UIN Malang dalam Mengikuti Program Fast Track

This study aims to analyze the motivations of students from the Islamic Education (PAI) class of 2020 at UIN Malang in participating in the Fast Track Program, as an effort to expedite higher education and increase the number of graduates in the Master's program. The research employs a qualitative approach with field research methods. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation over a period of two weeks in June 2024. The findings indicate strong support among students for the program, viewing it as an opportunity to accelerate their professional careers. However, students face challenges such as heavy credit loads and overlapping class schedules. With appropriate support, including effective time management and career guidance, the program can be enhanced to optimize academic and career achievements for students.

Basic Framework of Apophatic Metaphysics (Negative Theology) Toward Islamic Higher Education System: Analytical Study at Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (Ptkin) In Indonesia

The construction of the metaphysics of divinity that exists in the Islamic higher education system, especially in Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) - in the form of universities) in Indonesia has been finalized and established. It turns out that there was a logic of metaphysics of divinity that was different from the mainstreaming of the established metaphysics, namely metaphysics (apophatic theology). Based on this reality, this study focused on the construction on the concept of apophatic theology that grew and developed in the Islamic higher education system in PTKIN (namely UIN Sumatera Utara, UIN Malang, and UIN Jember). The research problem in this study was how does the construction of apophatic theology in the Islamic higher education system develop at UIN Sumatera utara, UIN Malang, and UIN Jember? In order to analytically answer this question, this study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques; such as in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The data analysis used interactive data analysis from Miles, Hubermann, and Saldana. This study found that apophatic theology was positioned as a discourse of profetization of divine values expressed through a negative style. The theological construction basically "rejects" divine knowledge with the logic of negation and paradox. This apophatic theology in the Islamic higher education system builds an axiological framework that more oriented towards the dimensions of humanity and divinity; or the profane dimension and transcendental.

Information management design for higher education

Background of the study: The existence of information management unit is important for the continuity of information life cycle. However, in reality, not all institutions have this unit. This research was conducted to provide an overview of information management at universities that do not yet have a special information management unit. Purpose: This research aims to provide a design information management that can be applied, especially at the UIN Malang or other public universities; especially those that have similar conditions with this university. Method: This study utilized a qualitative method and a case study approach. Through in-depth interviews with parties who understand the flow of the university’s work. In addition, observations were conducted at other institutions with comparable structures to develop a workable information management design for this institution. Findings: An information management design at Universitas Islam Negeri Malang can be implemented with policies and division of work in certain units owned by this university. Conclusion: A workflow, especially for information management, must be implemented with commitment from all units involved, so that the absence of a related unit does not become a barrier to information management.

The Relationship Between Self-Adjustment and Emotion Regulation with Problem Solving in Overseas Students from Outside Java at UIN Malang

The number of problems faced by students requires the ability to overcome and deal with every problem that comes their way. Every student needs to have the right problem solving skills so that problems can be solved properly. Therefore in this study will examine what factors are positively correlated with problem solving. So this study aims to determine the correlation between self-adjustment variables and emotional regulation together with problem solving variables in overseas students who come from outside the island of Java who study at UIN Malang as many as 50 people. The method used is a quantitative research method using a Likert scale. As for the analysis of the results used is correlation analysis. Based on the results of data processing, this study provides several conclusions, namely the variables of self-adjustment and emotional regulation correlate with problem solving by 66.5% and the remaining 33.5% are influenced by other variables and factors. The correlation between problem solving variables and self-adjustment is 0.59 and is positive so that the two variables are stated to have a positive correlation. Furthermore, the correlation between self-adjustment variables and emotional regulation is 0.46, which means that the two variables are positively correlated. From the results of this analysis it can be seen that problem solving has a high relationship with emotional regulation variables than problem solving with self-adjustment in overseas students who come from outside Java.

DEVELOPING OF ISPRING QUIZ MAKER AS AN EVALUATION MEDIA IN THE PRAGMATICS COURSE

This research aimed to determining the suitability of iSpring Quiz Maker as an evaluation media in the Arabic Language and Literature pragmatics course at UIN Malang, understanding the response of students' interest in using iSpring Quiz Maker as an evaluation medium in the Arabic Language and Literature pragmatics course at UIN Malang, and knowing the effectiveness of using iSpring Quiz Maker as an evaluation medium in the Arabic Language and Literature pragmatics course at UIN Malang. The method used in this research is research and development (R & D) by applying the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The results of this research show: (1) iSpring Quiz Maker is declared very suitable for use as a medium for evaluating pragmatic courses based on the assessment of material expert validators and media expert validators; (2) Student responses are quite interested in using iSpring Quiz Maker as a medium for evaluating pragmatic courses; (3) iSpring Quiz Maker is effective as a pragmatic course evaluation medium because the percentage of the total number of students who get an exam score ≤ 50 is 26.3%, while the percentage of the total number of students who get an exam score > 50 is 73.7%.

Arabic Language Learning Methods In The Digital Era

This study aims to describe the role of digital learning in Arabic and explain how effective methods are in learning Arabic in the digital era. This is qualitative descriptive research. Data was collected by observation and interviews with students of the 2023 Arabic language development special program at UIN Malang, Indonesia, about the learning methods used. The research results are that the currently developing digital era can make it easier for students to learn by using technology as a learning medium. A practical method of learning Arabic is getting used to answering online exercises to practice reading, writing, and speaking so that one can master learning Arabic. Apart from that, the current problem is that technology also hurts young people because of their dependence on cell phones, which can also be used as entertainment.

Pengaruh Literasi Keuangan dan Sikap Keuangan terhadap Perilaku Konsumtif Belanja Online Melalui Locus of Control sebagai Variabel Mediasi

This research aims to examine and analyze the influence of financial literacy on consumptive behavior, the influence of financial attitudes on consumptive behavior, the role of locus of control in mediating the influence of financial literacy on consumptive behavior, and the role of locus of control in mediating the influence of financial attitudes on consumptive behavior. The research method used is a quantitative research method with primary data obtained from questionnaire data which is measured using a Likert scale. The population in this study were students from the Faculty of Economics, UIN Malang, class 2020 and 2021, totaling 1039 students. The sampling method used in this research was the proportional random sampling method, so that a sample of 91 respondents was obtained. This research data was obtained from distributing questionnaires which were then processed using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of this research show that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior, financial attitudes have a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, locus of control mediates the effect of financial literacy on consumptive behavior, and locus of control mediates the effect of financial attitudes on consumptive behavior. ISLAMISASI INTEGRASI INTERKONEKSI ILMU PENGETAHUAN DAN AGAMA ISLAM: MODEL KEILMUAN DI PERGURUAN TINGGI ISLAM

This article discusses the concept of a scientific philosophical framework built by Islamic universities that switched form from IAIN to UIN. The object of this research is to compare three Islamic universities that already have the concept of scientific building of Islam and science, namely, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, and UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This research method uses descriptive qualitative by obtaining data from scientific literature and campus media sources as the object of research. The results of the study explain that the three UIN campuses in the study have similar scientific ontology sourced from al Quran and al Hadith, while in the epistemological aspect the scientific concept of UIN Malang is Islamization, the scientific concept of UIN Surabaya is integration and the scientific model of UIN Yogyakarta is Interconnection. THE ROLE OF RELIGIOSITY IN INFLUENCING THE KNOWLEDGE AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT OF SAVINGS INTEREST

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of knowledge, social environment and religiosity on interest in saving in Islamic banks. The research methodology used is quantitative with experimental techniques to test the impact of knowledge and social environment on students' tendencies to practice saving religiously as a mediating factor. The population of this study consisted of students registered at the Faculty of Economics, UIN Malang, with a total of 2494 individuals, and the sample used was 147 students selected using purposive sampling. Data was collected through a Google Form questionnaire which contained statements related to research variables. The research results show that knowledge, social environment, and religiosity have a significant influence on interest in saving in Islamic banks. The conclusion of this research is that these factors can be important considerations in understanding savings behavior in Islamic banks, so they need to be considered in developing marketing strategies and sharia financial education.

International Class Program UIN Malang as an Effort in Actualizing International Reputable University

<p><span lang="EN-US">In response to globalization's challenges, educational institutions in Indonesia have begun to develop education oriented towards reforming quality, management, and curriculum with international standards. One of them is through the formation of an international class that is expected to be able to compete at the global level. To realize this, UIN Malang carries the vision of "The realization of an integrative higher education in combining science and Islam with an international reputation." Based on this vision, this study seeks to find out how to implement and form UIN Malang's support for the International Class Program at the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty to internationalize the campus. This study uses a qualitative approach that emphasizes the interpretation of the data obtained. The problem in the field is the lack of cooperation between layers at the university. It has an impact on the speed of the internationalization process of the UIN Malang.</span></p><p><span lang="EN-US"><br /></span></p><p><span lang="EN-US"><strong><span lang="EN-US">Program Kelas Internasional UIN Malang sebagai Upaya Mewujudkan Universitas Bereputasi Internasional. </span></strong><span lang="EN-US">Menanggapi tantangan globalisasi, lembaga pendidikan di Indonesia mulai mengembangkan pendidikan yang berorientasi pada reformasi mutu, manajemen, dan kurikulum yang berstandar internasional. Salah satunya melalui pembentukan kelas internasional yang diharapkan mampu bersaing di tingkat global. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, UIN Malang mengusung visi “Terwujudnya pendidikan tinggi yang integratif dalam memadukan ilmu pengetahuan dan Islam yang bereputasi internasional.” Berdasarkan visi tersebut, penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi dan bentuk dukungan UIN Malang terhada Program Kelas Internasional Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan untuk menginternasionalkan kampus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang menekankan pada interpretasi data yang diperoleh. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah diketahui adanya permasalahan di lapangan yakni kurangnya kerjasama antar lapisan di universitas. Hal tersebut berdampak pada percepatan proses internasionalisasi UIN Malang.</span></span></p>

Effect Operation Strategy on Performance

The aim of this research is to determine the operational strategies and business performance of entrepreneurial students, as well as to analyze operational strategies on business performance. This research was conducted on entrepreneurial students in Malang consisting of students from UB, UM Malang, Poltek, UMM, Unisma and UIN Malang. The population is students who are actively running businesses with an unknown number. Sample The sample was taken from 25 entrepreneurial students at each university, so that the total sample was 150 which was considered to represent all entrepreneurial students. The sampling technique was accidental sampling for entrepreneurial students in tertiary institutions. The analysis tool uses an interval scale and regression with SPSS. The research results show that the operation strategy and business performance of entrepreneurial students is very good, the operation strategy (cost, quality, delivery and flexibility) influences business performance.

Enhancing Global Competency and Academic Excellence: A Strategic Analysis of FITK UIN Malang's Path to Becoming a World-Class University

This research delineates the strategic endeavors of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang to bolster student achievements, aspiring to evolve into a world-class university. Embracing a qualitative methodology, the study employs critical analytical descriptive methods to probe student coaching development strategies, resources, and outcomes at FITK. Data sources span strategic plans, educational guidelines, stakeholder interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). From 2020 to 2022, it marked a pivotal era, witnessing a surge in student accomplishments at regional, national, and international levels, eclipsing previous years' records. This progression highlights the faculty's commitment to fostering an environment conducive to innovation and creativity. The study underscores the faculty's pivotal role in sculpting individuals for global competencies, reflecting an emergent roadmap for academic institutions aspiring for international repute. However, it acknowledges its limitations in scope, advocating for future research to encompass broader educational contexts and integrate diverse measures of student success. These findings provide valuable insights for institutions striving to cultivate a culture of excellence and global readiness in the dynamic sphere of global education.

Community engagement through Library and Information Science teaching- learning activities at Islamic higher education in Indonesia

Introduction. Community engagement is one of the ways to connect between academic environment and community. This research aims to explore community engagement as part of the course in the Library Science Study Program to match with the seven main principles of community engagement. 
 Research Method. This is qualitative research with a case study approach on how community engagement concept is implemented in the learning and teaching activities at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
 Data analysis. The data was analyzed by using cross-case data analysis.
 Results and Discussion. The results show that the two LIS Programs have conducted community engagement effectively in their learning and teaching by referring to the main seven principles of community engagement.
 Conclusion. In terms of the community engagement, UIN Malang has more intensive relationships with the community because their activities involve wider community around the area. While in terms of the sustainability, UIN Yogyakarta shows a better-organized program as they assign the students to create strategic plans and SOPs by encouraging the community library organizers to continue what has been conducted by the students during the program. This community engagement program also in line with community service missions of the university.

The Regulation Model of Public Services Based on The Integrity Zone in The Religious Higher Education in Indonesia

Since 2020, Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs commits to build the integrity zone in all its work units. Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has been pointed to be the pilot project of The Integrity Zone Establishment in 2020 under the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ supervision. The emerged problem is that there is no Minimum Service Standard (MSS) as the requirement of integrity zone made by rector. This is a juridical-empirical study by applying qualitative approach. The primary data were from interview and Focus Group Discussion with structural team and academic staff who are directly involved in services in the said university. The FGD results reveal that the MSS is made based on The Organization and Work Procedures of UIN Malang, and that it is related to services in Tri Dharma both academic and non-academic. The MSS of UIN Malang must refer to Permen PAN-RB No. 10 of 2019 on the amendment to Permen PAN-RB No. 52 of 2014 concerning The Guidelines to Establish an Integrity Zone towards a Corruption Free Area and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area in a Government Institution. The service regulation is also made based on international standard ISO 37001: 2016 as an anti-bribery management system that is able to provide access for complaint on bribery. This article is expected to be the policy reference for services in the State Religious Higher Education in Indonesia which follows the service standard of the integrity zone and international standard so they can lessen the corruption and collusion in the serving process.

Performance Improvement of K-Nearest Neighbor Algorithm in KIP Scholarship Recipient Selection

Abstract
 Law 12 of 2012 mandates that the government increase access to higher education for high achievers and underprivileged people. One of the efforts to realize this is by providing KIP Lectures. To ensure that beneficiaries are indeed eligible for KIP scholarships, it is necessary to classify scholarship recipients with data mining classification techniques correctly. The classification technique chosen is k-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN). K-NN is a classification method that relies heavily on the k parameter in carrying out classification. K-NN was applied to the KIP Scholarship applicant dataset at UIN Malang in 2022. The test scenario in this research is to compare the k-odd and k-even parameters to find the most optimal k value in K-NN. The highest accuracy value obtained by k-odd is 0.71 or 71% when k=9, and the highest for k-even is 0.67 or 67% when k=10. Using optimal k parameters is proven to improve k-NN performance. The K-NN algorithm with k-odd parameters, namely k=9, is the best method for classifying KIP scholarship recipients in this research. The results of this research can be considered in determining KIP scholarship recipients worthy of using K-NN.

Unraveling the Role of Financial Attitude: A Key Moderator of Financial Literacy in Shaping Financial Behavior

This research aims to examine the influence of financial literacy levels and financial attitudes on financial behavior and the moderating effect of the financial attitude variable. The study employed a questionnaire as a research method distributed to 75 respondents who are the organizers of the Investment Gallery of the Indonesia Stock Exchange at UIN Malang, UM, and Ma Chung University. The analysis technique used Partial Least Square. The research results indicate that financial behavior is positively influenced by the financial literacy level variable, although it is not significant. On the other hand, the financial behavior variable is significantly positively influenced by the financial attitude variable. Moreover, the financial attitude variable, as a moderating variable, has a positive impact on the relationship between the financial literacy level variable and the financial behavior variable.
