Our study, in Ortopaedics and Traumatology Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of Cumhuriyet University between April 1986-May 1990 includes the evaluation of 82 hospitalized patients who had pelvic fractures treated surgically and conservatively. Mean age of the patients was 32. 6 and 63 (76.9%) were male, 19 (23. 1%) were female and mean follow up was 29 months. Pelvic fractures were evaluated according to Key and Conwell classification in 3 types. Majeed's functional Slatis and Karaharju's radiological criteria were used in the assesment of the results. In our series anatomically 69.9% and clinically 81.6% satisfactory results were obtained.
