Research on the Construction of a Blockchain-Based Industrial Product Full Life Cycle Information Traceability System

The application of blockchain technology in industrial product quality traceability is analyzed to construct a new model of product quality traceability that is mainly based on blockchain technology and supplemented by an identity system. The blockchain-enabled overall technical architecture of an industrial product quality traceability system is explored, and a blockchain-based industrial product full life cycle information traceability system is constructed. First, the weights of the information indicators of different links of the industrial equipment information traceability system were calculated using the EAHP hierarchical analysis method. The manufacturing link had the largest weight, with a value of 18.8%. Second, the system’s functional module design is based on the weights. We designed and developed the industrial product information traceability platform based on the hybrid blockchain chain structure of private chain + alliance chain. Finally, a manufacturing enterprise in the Xinjiang region is taken as the research object, query validation is carried out for the products produced by the enterprise, and the average query time of the system is measured to be 65.376 ms. It can meet the traceability needs of consumers and enterprise users. The research can provide theoretical support and reference for the whole life cycle information traceability of industrial products.

A Quality Traceability System for Fruit and Vegetable Supply Chain Based on Multi-Chain Blockchain

To enhance the efficiency and security of traceability in the fruit and vegetable industry, this paper proposes an optimized model based on multi-chain blockchain technology. Firstly, an analysis is conducted on the supply chain information of the fruit and vegetable industry, where traceability codes and product information from various stages of the supply chain are organized and extracted. Next, a trusted traceability optimization model is established based on blockchain technology. Finally, an information traceability system for the VFSC is implemented using Hyperledger fabric, and an improved Kafka load balancing algorithm is proposed to enhance message transmission efficiency. Simulation results demonstrate that the multi-chain traceability model proposed outperforms traditional single-chain blockchain models in terms of query efficiency when the number of data records exceeds 1000. After 10000 data records are deployed on the blockchain, the efficiency of the multi-chain model is improved by over 90% compared to the traditional single-chain model.

Design of Meat Product Safety Information Chain Traceability System Based on UHF RFID.

As a result of the current imperfection of the meat traceability system, there have been numerous food safety events with serious consequences. In this paper, a meat product information traceability system is designed to efficiently prevent such problems. This system develops an identification tag information reader based on ultra-high frequency (UHF) Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). It is compatible with LoRa wireless, USB serial port, RS485, and RJ45 Ethernet connection. Among them, the efficiency analysis of the Q-value algorithm finds that the recognition rate of the system reaches a maximum of about 0.367 when the number of tags n is about the frame length. The multi-tag anti-collision algorithm design based on the algorithm improves the efficiency of information collection in production and distribution links. The traceability code identification scheme is designed to effectively match various links, and the platform of system is built using LabVIEW2014 software, which has five sub-modules including user management, farm management, slaughter management, logistics management, and sales management. The system uses MySQL databases to store traceability information so that users can complete their queries by entering the traceability code on the system platform. The system not only has a low cost and a broad range of applications, but it also realizes the tracking record of meat product traceability information from breeding to selling, completes the function from information collection to information inquiry, and solves the problem of the incomplete traceability information chain. In addition, the system not only enhances the informational transparency of meat products in the product supply chain but also provides information for the regulatory authorities to effectively monitor safety.

A bibliometric and content analysis of technological advancement applications in agricultural e-commerce

Given the severe difficulties and challenges being faced during the current COVID-19 pandemic, agribusinesses must consider alternative means to market and sell agriproducts using e-commerce and advanced technologies. Agricultural e-commerce that utilizes advanced technologies can promote sustainable economic growth and gender equality and, therefore, helps achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It also allows farmers access to new markets where they can bypass intermediaries, leading to higher income, less waste, and fresher produce for customers. The usefulness of using agricultural e-commerce depends on the efficiency of addressing the emerging challenges from merging perspectives of agricultural and e-commerce fields. Literature reviews addressed both fields from different perspectives, however, most literature addresses the agriculture and e-commerce fields separately, leading to unclarity in understanding the differences between agriproducts and other products. This study aims to present a comprehensive and robust roadmap of technological advancements and challenges in agricultural e-commerce through a thorough bibliometric and content analysis and provide a conceptual architecture for best practices. The bibliometric and content analysis sheds light on the agricultural e-commerce categories, challenges, and limitations. This study identifies the most influential research and topic trends, determines the topical discipline areas, and provides visions and directions for future research in the field of agricultural e-commerce. It discusses the challenges of agricultural e-commerce and agriproducts and how advanced technologies help solve such challenges. This study summarises the best practice implementation of agricultural e-commerce by providing strong logistics, implementing standardization, including information knowledge of agriproducts, and creating a traceability information system. The result of this paper is presented as a proposed conceptual architecture for agricultural e-commerce that addresses the abovementioned best practice concepts and utilizes the Blockchain and IoT technologies to provide innovative solutions for the agricultural e-commerce stakeholders. Finally, this study provides prospects for future research on advanced technologies in agricultural e-commerce.

Analysis on cold Chain Logistics Informatization Construction of Blockchain Technology

Against the background of the later epidemic era, this paper analyzes the current development situation of China's cold chain logistics market and the pain points of the food cold chain logistics information traceability system, and finds and summarizes the problems of the current China's food cold chain logistics traceability system. Based on the blockchain technology, the construction and research of the food cold chain logistics traceability system can be carried out, and the improvement of the global positioning system of cold chain logistics, intelligent temperature control and the construction of the Internet of Things can be achieved from the three aspects of the setting of participants, so as to better implement the rural cold chain logistics. The research shows that based on the "first kilometer" and "last kilometer" issues under the current rural cold chain logistics background, the combination of cold chain logistics and blockchain technology will bring about the deep integration of models and technologies. Finally, based on the current blockchain technology, the paper puts forward suggestions and management implications for the development of rural cold chain logistics. Systematic assessment of food traceability information loss: A case study of the Bangladesh export shrimp supply chain

Traceability information systems in food supply chains (FSCs) can suffer from information loss, and this can cause food safety crises and economic downturns around the world. Information loss happens as a result of inefficiencies in material and information flows caused by the vulnerabilities associated with either the internal traceability systems of individual FSC operators and/or external traceability systems between them. A structured comprehensive approach to identify and analyse these vulnerabilities in an entire FSC encompassing both of its internal and external traceability systems is still absent in the literature. This paper develops a systematic information loss assessment technique, modifying and integrating Failure mode effect and criticality analysis (FMECA) and a traceability modelling tool, Material and information flow modelling technique (MIFMT). To demonstrate the proposed method, the study uses data derived from a primary case study on Bangladesh export shrimp supply chain comprising a farm, a depot and a processor. Providing standardised visualisation and quantitative information loss evaluation, the proposed method offers a systematic approach for analysing vulnerabilities in the food traceability system. The results of this approach are used to make specific reengineering suggestions to improve the existing shrimp traceability system in Bangladesh. The proposed method could be applied widely in various FSCs to support systematic reengineering e.g. blockchain and IoT implementation in existing traceability systems.

Analysis of Agricultural Product Information Traceability and Customer Preference Based on Blockchain

For traditional agricultural product traceability system, there are some problems, such as information asymmetry and serious centralized storage. To solve the problems, a set of an agricultural product traceability information analysis system based on blockchain is designed. The overall framework of the agricultural product information traceability system is built, and the traceability model and process are designed in detail from the data layer, consensus layer, and contract layer. Collaborative verification function modules are added in the data layer to ensure the authenticity of data on the blockchain. The integral penalty mechanism is introduced to improve the practical Byzantine fault tolerance algorithm (PBFT), which ensures the security of the block network and the validity of data. Smart contracts are adopted to ensure that changes in agricultural information are actually recorded on blockchain. The results show that the designed blockchain-based agricultural product information traceability system solves the problem of difficult sharing and traceability of agricultural product information, which realizes the traceability of agricultural product production information, processing information, transportation information, and transaction query information, and has certain theoretical and practical value for the information traceability of agricultural products and other products.

Construction of a Traceability System for Food Industry Chain Safety Information Based on Internet of Things Technology.

The continuous development of the social economy, has stimulataed an increase in the satndard of living and increased the deman for consumption resulting in the demand for high-quality and safe food has continued to increase. The so-called food safety means that the food that people eat under certain conditions will not harm human health. Frequent food safety incidents have highlighted the seriousness of my country's food safety problems and exposed loopholes in my country's food safety supervision. This article aims to study the construction of the Internet of Things technology in the food industry chain safety information traceability system, research on the RFID technology, GPS technology, and sensor technology in the Internet of things technology, and also conduct some research on the modules of the food industry chain safety information traceability system. This paper proposes to integrate the Internet of Things technology into the construction of the food industry chain safety information traceability system. First, a detailed analysis of some of the technologies that may be used is carried out, and then through the investigation of people on food safety and other aspects, and the food traceability system satisfaction survey. The experimental results in this article show that 40% of women pay more attention to food safety. Of course, in the satisfaction survey of the food safety traceability system based on the Internet of Things technology, it has been recognized by more than 20% of the people.

Dual-Chain Blockchain in Agricultural E-Commerce Information Traceability Considering the Viniar Algorithm

In this paper, we consider the Vennia algorithm to conduct in-depth research and analysis on the traceability of dual-chain blockchain agricultural products' E-commerce information. This paper adds a collaborative verification module to the traceability system and carries out a detailed design of information storage, traceability consensus algorithm, and smart contract for agricultural products according to the characteristics of the agricultural products supply chain, among which the collaborative verification module adopts dynamic data storage technology; the ConsiderVinia consensus algorithm is improved by introducing the way of integral penalty mechanism to ensure the block data validity. After a comparative study of the features and differences of the three major blockchain technology platforms, this paper selects the super ledger to implement the agricultural traceability system based on blockchain technology, introduces the partitioning and credit mechanism into the ConsiderVinia algorithm, and elaborates the improvement process of the algorithm. The improved algorithm reduces the malicious behavior of nodes and maintains the system security through a credit mechanism while maintaining the consistency of blockchain. In the event of a transaction dispute, the third-party platform will determine the party at fault based on the transaction records and other evidence and make corresponding punishments and compensations. The experiment proves that the algorithm proposed in this paper can reduce the amount of network data transmission in the process of node consensus, which is better than the ConsiderVinia algorithm in terms of both throughput and latency, improves the consensus efficiency, and alleviates the communication bottleneck caused by the increase of users in blockchain applications, and the solution of applying the blockchain technology to the agricultural products traceability system is practical and feasible. The blockchain-based agricultural products information traceability system solves the problems of information asymmetry, difficult sharing, easy tampering, and storage centralization in the traditional IoT-based agricultural products traceability system and truly realizes the credible and reliable traceability of the whole chain of agricultural products information. The research content and results of this paper have certain theoretical and practical values.

Developing A Supply Chain Of Apple Processed Product Traceability Information System Based On Smart Packaging And Digital Business Ecosystems

Apples are one of the fruits that much post-harvest processing can do. Apples can be processed into drinks or snacks. The need for information about nutritional content is needed by consumers. Therefore, a traceability information system is needed that can enable consumers to know the nutritional content involved. This research uses the Waterfall model information system development method and the Unified modeling language (UML). This method allows for the sequential development of information systems. The results of this research will be in the form of an information system that has been tested using the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and Response for a Class (RFC) method. The resulting Response for a Class (RFC) value is 5.17, meaning that this information system will be easy to adapt later

Design of a website-based traceability information system on subsidized fertilizer supply chain

Fertilizer is an important part of agriculture. To ease the burden on farmers, the government assists in the form of subsidized fertilizers to farmers. Limited information on the availability of subsidized fertilizer supplies in stores often makes it difficult for farmers to obtain them. Therefore, a traceability information system is needed that can help farmers to obtain information on the availability of these fertilizers. This information system will also help the supply chain of subsidized fertilizers to be more effective and efficient. This research was conducted for one year to study the supply chain traceability process and the development of a website-based subsidized fertilizer information system. The method used in this research is to use the unified modelling language (UML) method. The UML used to design the system consists of use case diagrams, class diagrams, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams. The traceability system that has been designed is implemented into a website-based information system. This research produces a website-based information system of the supply chain traceability information system for subsidized fertilizers.

Meat Traceability: Traditional Market Shoppers' Preferences and Willingness-to-Pay for Additional Information in Taiwan.

Due to food scandals that shocked the retailer markets, traceability systems were advocated to regain consumers’ confidence and trust. However, while traceability systems can be more easily explored in modern markets, almost no traceability system can be found in traditional markets in Taiwan, especially when buying meat products. This study explored the preference and the willingness-to-pay (WTP) for traceability information of pork products in traditional markets in Taiwan. The random utility theory (RUT) with the contingent valuation method (CVM) was adopted to examine the total of 1420 valid responses in Taiwan. Results show that 80% of traditional market consumers are willing to pay more for traceability information of pork products. Specifically, when consumers (1) know the market price of pork, (2) do not often buy food in the traditional market, (3) live in south or north regions of Taiwan, (4) have a flexible buying schedule, (5) are aware of food safety due to frequently accessing health-related content through media, or (6) think pork grading is very important, they would tend to choose meat products with traceability information. The implication of this study suggests that there is an urgent desire for food safety labeling and traceability information system in traditional markets in Taiwan. Especially, those who usually shop in the higher-price markets are willing to pay the most for this traceability information.

Coffee farming business development: E-commerce technology utilization

After crude oil, coffee is the most traded commodity in the world From that figure, only about 30% of the world’s coffee is consumed in coffee-producing countries, the rest is exported to consuming countries such as Finland, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany and America. In recent years, total world coffee production has remained relatively constant while demand for coffee has increased significantly. Indonesia produces various types of special Arabica coffee such as Gayo coffee, Java coffee, Toraja coffee, Lintong coffee, Bajawa coffee, and Robusta coffee such as Java Robusta and Robusta Flores. Domestic coffee consumption is low, only around 3.3 million sacks of green green coffee per year. The rest, which is around 7.7 million, or about 70% of its production, both in the form of green beans and roasted coffee, is exported to Germany, USA, Japan and Italy. Of the total exports, around 25-30% are high quality Arabica coffee. E-commerce technology can play an increasingly important role in empowering such a traditional industry of agriculture. The technological underpinnings of e-commerce avail to expand the market channels of agricultural products, realizing the scale and organizational realm of agricultural product circulation, reducing the intermediaries of distribution, and reducing transaction costs. Recent studies have suggested that e-commerce helps firms to increase the information flow of agricultural products, reduce asymmetric information of farm products, and promote the creation of traceability information system for agricultural product chains. E-commerce can be part of developing a conceptual foundation for agricultural studies in the modern era and provide an understanding of the potential positive values of e-commerce.

Fire Equipment Information Traceability System based on Blockchain

To solve the problems of centralization, tampering, incomplete storage, and privacy of fire fighting equipment traceability system, this paper proposes a fire fighting equipment information traceability system based on blockchain. The system is developed on the Fabric blockchain platform of Hyperledger. The system environment is equipped with three organizations: manufacturer, dealer, and consumers, and the query request is initiated with the traceability function of fire fighting equipment in the chaincode. Finally, through the certificate authentication user account can realize the fire fighting equipment information inquiry, and the query response time average value is 19.5 ms. The characteristics of blockchain are difficult to tamper with, timestamp and transaction traceability, which can be well applied to the traceability system of fire fighting equipment, which makes the traceability function of the system more perfect, and consumers can get all traceability information, including production information, logistics information and usage information of fire fighting equipment.

The Design of Traceability Information System of Smart Packaging-Based Product Supply Chain to Improve A Competitiveness of Apple Processed Agro-Industry

Agricultural food products are various. Apple is one of the agricultural product which is popular in Malang. There are many processed products from apple. However, there is a problem of food security concerning on the agricultural processed products. The food security consists of the information of nutrition contained in it, expired period, and the supply of healthy food. Therefore, it is required a traceability system that gives a guarantee about product authenticity and entrusted information about the food products. Lack of good information and infrastructure will hamper the formation of an effective traceability system that has not been considered even considered to require high costs, especially for some Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) producers. In general, producers and consumers need an information system that can provide food information effectively and efficiently. The design concept uses object oriented methods using United Modeling Language (UML), which consists of: Use Case Diagrams, Sequence diagrams and Class Diagrams. The design results were tested using Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and the value of Response for a Class (RFC). Based on this test, it is produced that the RTM can be traced to all artifacts that have been made and the average RFC value is 5.17 meaning the RFC value is between 1 to 69, so that the RFC between 1 to 69 then the coupling is adaptable

Designing traceability information systems for processed apple products chain

Food security issues is a problem for consumers to choose the right food products. Consumers are often faced with a lack of knowledge about nutritional content, expiration, and availability of healthy food products, especially for processed apple products. Therefore a traceability system is needed that guarantees the authenticity of the product and provides reliable information. Lack of good information and infrastructure will hinder the formation of an effective traceability system that some producers have not considered because it has high costs, especially for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). In general, producers and consumers need an information system that can provide food information effectively and efficiently. The purpose of this research is to design an information system that can be used for traceability of processed apple products. This study uses the Waterfall method which consists of several stages, namely: the data analysis stage, the planning stage, the implementation phase, and the testing phase. The design concept uses the object-oriented method using the Unified Modelling Language (UML), which consists of Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams. The results of this study are an information system design that can be used for traceability of the supply chain of processed apple products that can adapt to consumer needs.

Traceability of Information Routing Based on Fuzzy Associative Memory Modelling in Fisheries Supply Chain

Traceability is the ability to verify the history and location of a food product, thus providing information on each supply-chain actor, who the immediate supplier is, and to whom the product was sent. The information system approach has been used to manage and integrate all such information by collecting, storing, then retrieving data and information about the product from earlier stages of the production process. Besides documentation and information sharing, such traceability information systems can also support timely resolution of customer complaints. This paper presents modelling of routing and handling time prediction using a fuzzy associative memory (FAM) method. As a first response to customers, information about the time required to resolve an issue can be provided after the source of a product defect has been traced. With regards to handling, traceability can assist with several issues, e.g., product replacement, product recalls based on retrieval of the contact numbers of affected customers on a recall list , and inspections at each production unit to ensure food safety standards. Based on such activities, it is assumed that the handling time will be affected by the size of the product inventory that can be used to replace a defective product, the amount of product that must be recalled from the market, and the time required internally for the inspection process, which is set as the FAM input variable. A FAM is a set of fuzzy-set pairs (A, B) that maps an input vector fuzzy set A to an output vector fuzzy set B. Our experiments show that, from such a FAM formulation, one can obtain 27 rules. The FAM will encode a fuzzy-set pair (A, B) to obtain matrix memories, denoted by M. As the prediction result, the matrix B can be obtained from the computational matrix A and the matrix M; For instance, in case of a contamination incident in a fish product with inventory conditions of as much as 4 tonnes, the product recall amounts to 21 tonnes and the inspection will take 25 h, while the results of the computational experiment show that the total handling time for this case will be 66 h with low error rates.

Research on Food Supply Chain Risk and Its Management

Based on the summary of food supply chain risk and its management research, this paper explores the identification of major supply chain risk factors leading to food safety problems according to the principles of objectivity, significance, system and continuity. This paper proposes that based on the full identification of quality risk, market risk, logistics risk, cooperation risk and environmental risk in the supply chain, comprehensive analysis and targeted measures should be taken to prevent and effectively reduce and eliminate risks. Complete food information traceability system, rapid response information platform for responding to food safety incidents, and cooperation among stakeholders in the supply chain are indispensable safeguards for food safety management.

Traceability information modeling and system implementation in Chinese domestic sheep meat supply chains

AbstractTraceability has become a prerequisite for ensuring meat quality and safety. It is the most critical requirement for developing a well‐structured traceability system to identify efficiently and model the traceability information need to be captured. This article identified Chinese domestic sheep meat supply chain and proposed the Petri nets and UML based modeling approach for identified traceability information and process. This approach followed the definition of state and transition in sheep meat production process. An in‐depth analysis was conducted for the sheep stakeholders and production flow of the sheep meat chain. The state‐transition for the production process and specific traceability information need to be captured were identified including the product, process, quality, and transformation information. Furthermore, traceability functionality requirement and system architecture were presented. System evaluation results illustrate the model can help to provide guidance for standardizing meat product flow and supporting quality traceability management in meat industry. The system can provide making‐decision for the meat product quality and safety control.Practical applicationsThe proposed method could be applied widely in development of traceability system and provided making‐decision for the control of meat product quality and safety.

Framework for Design of Traceability System on Organic Rice Certification

Nowadays, the preferences of organic products such as organic rice have been increased. It because of the people awareness of the healthy and eco-friendly food product consumption has grown. Therefore, it is very important to ensure organic quality of the product that will be produced. Certification is a series of process that holds to ensure the quality of products meets all criteria of organic standards. Currently, there is a problem that traceability information system for organic rice certification has been not available. The current system still conducts manually caused the loss of information during storage process. This paper aimed at developing a traceability framework on organic rice certification process. First, the main discussed issues are organic certification process. Second, unified modeling language (UML) is used to build the model of user requirement in order to develop traceability system for all actors in the certification process. Furthermore, the information captured model along certification process will be explained in this paper. The model shows the information flow that has to be recorded for each actor. Finally, the challenges in the implementation system will be discussed in this paper.
