The Role of Industry-Based Tourism in Business Development in Indonesia

Tourism has a lot of origins about tourist attractions, as well as the people. The community is basically an important role in the realization of a tourism place. There are local people who act as owners and managers and run their business in the tourism area, as well as the community as visitors from tourism places. In tourism there is a tourism industry in it, which is one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the world. The tourism industry is one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the world. The Tourism Industry is very different from other industries, such as the clothing industry and the agricultural industry, the Hospitality Industry is more likely to operate in providing services. Tourism is part of business development in Indonesia, ranging from hotels in it, modern tourism, marine tourism and other tours, which play a role in the progress and development of business in Indonesia. The increasing population growth, coupled with increasing economic needs, has made people develop creativity from their communities to develop businesses based on the tourism industry.

Hotel Selection Decision Support System with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method

Purwokerto as the city center in southwestern Central Java which is one of the tourism places in Central Java with a fairly large number of enthusiasts. Purwokerto City has a wide selection of tourist attraction destinations that can be visited by tourists. There are not a few tourists who come from outside the city and do tours for more than one day. If you look at these conditions, a temporary stopover place is needed, namely a hotel. Purwokerto City provides so many choices of hotels spread across various locations with lodging classes, rental prices, facilities and services that are diverse. With the existence of many and different hotel facilities, of course, visitors will find it difficult to find and determine a hotel that matches the desired criteria. In addition, they will also find it difficult in finding the location of the desired hotel. The calculation results using the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) Method found that Java Heritage Hotel got a value of 0.9, Resort and Hotel Atrium by 0.77, Surya Yudha Hotel by 0.65 and Trisno Hotel by 0.55. And get the same result between manual calculations and calculations from the system.. Based on the description above, in this study a decision support system was developed that can help tourists to determine hotels according to the wishes and needs of tourists using the SAW Method (Simple Additive Weighting)

THE ASSEMBLAGE OF INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE AND TOURISM

The touristic place provides discourses that are worth examining as to which how the management of the site, its internal contestation and development, as well as experiences of its visitors. Examining a heritage of the ancient Majapahit kingdom in Java, this article discusses the assemblage of tourism and religious sites and the extent the site serves as a reservoir for interreligious dialog in contemporary Indonesia. It tries to point out how interreligious dialogue is at work in this site and how surrounding communities participate and respond to the perseverance of the site. Finally, accentuating Swidler’s theory of dialogues, this paper looks at the practice of interreligious dialogue at a touristic site and how religious harmony is negotiated by Buddhist and Muslim through the site and the construction of “the other” by both religious communities.

IMPLEMENTASI PENINGKATAN PARIWISATA BAHARI BERADASARKAN PERATURAN BUPATI KABUPATEN PESAWARAN NOMER 35 TAHUN 2017 TENTANG PENGELOLAAN KAWASAN WISATA BAHARI DI KABUPATEN PESAWARAN

One of the forms of tourism in Indonesia is marine tourism. The marine area is afavorite place for both local and international tourists to visit and enjoy the naturalbeauty of the sea. In general, marine areas are located on the coast and are locatedin places that have a natural, cool and healthy environment so that they can achievean optimal recreational activity. Pesawaran Regency is one of the regencies inLampung Province. Pesawaran Regency most of the tourist attractions are still notdeveloped and there are no adequate facilities. In the context of structuring marinetourism areas in Pesawaran Regency in order to increase economic growth andpeople's welfare, environmental conservation and natural cultural resources, marinetourism in Pesawaran Regency needs to be managed properly. There are efforts inorder to improve the tourism sector in Pesawaran Regency, one of these efforts isthe issuance. Regulation of the Regent of Pesawaran Regency Number 35 of 2017concerning Management of Marine Tourism Areas in Pesawaran Regency. With thisregulation, it is hoped that tourism in Pesawaran Regency can become a touristdestination.

Internalization of Religious Values in Early Childhood


 
 
 
 Internalization of religious values is one of the efforts that can be made to build the next generation of the nation who is not only intelligent but also has a noble character. This study aims to analyze the strategies applied by teachers in an effort to internalize religious values in early childhood. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data was collected by using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Respondents in this study consisted of principals, teachers, and representatives of parents of early childhood. The internalization strategy is applied by telling stories, singing, doing yoga, praying, visiting places of worship or religious tourism, setting an example, and habituation through routine activities. The strategies implemented have succeeded in facilitating the religious development which can be seen from children who have been able to know their religion and God, are accustomed to praying and worship according to their religion, understand noble behavior, distinguish good and bad behavior, recognize rituals and religious holidays, as well as respecting the religions of others. 
 
 
 

Large-scale Vietnamese point-of-interest classification using weak labeling.

Point-of-Interests (POIs) represent geographic location by different categories (e.g., touristic places, amenities, or shops) and play a prominent role in several location-based applications. However, the majority of POIs category labels are crowd-sourced by the community, thus often of low quality. In this paper, we introduce the first annotated dataset for the POIs categorical classification task in Vietnamese. A total of 750,000 POIs are collected from WeMap, a Vietnamese digital map. Large-scale hand-labeling is inherently time-consuming and labor-intensive, thus we have proposed a new approach using weak labeling. As a result, our dataset covers 15 categories with 275,000 weak-labeled POIs for training, and 30,000 gold-standard POIs for testing, making it the largest compared to the existing Vietnamese POIs dataset. We empirically conduct POI categorical classification experiments using a strong baseline (BERT-based fine-tuning) on our dataset and find that our approach shows high efficiency and is applicable on a large scale. The proposed baseline gives an F1 score of 90% on the test dataset, and significantly improves the accuracy of WeMap POI data by a margin of 37% (from 56 to 93%).

Identifying European and Chinese styles of creating tourist destinations with intangible cultural heritage: A comparative perspective

AbstractTo identify the process of tourism place making by using intangible cultural heritage (ICH) as the resource, this study conducts a qualitative meta‐analysis based on 23 European and 16 Chinese cases. The results conclude and replenish the main considerations in creating tourist destinations with ICH, including planner, ICH type, specific place making scope, purpose, design focus, types of placemaking, and sense of place. Findings reveal differentiated patterns and similar methods in the decision‐making process in the two regions. This article provides a new perspective on taking ICH as place making tool and sheds light on ICH resource development.

Who Are the Domestic Creative Tourists in Slovakia? Implications from a Cluster-Based Demand Analysis

Abstract In recent years, creative tourism has become one of the most dynamically developing tourism products in global tourism. Its role in Slovakia is also important, although it has not been deeply explored. Recognising this research gap, the authors aimed to understand better the place and role of creative tourism in Slovakia. After elaborating the primary results of a demand-based questionnaire survey, the study presents a cluster-based creative tourist characterisation approach where the authors make an attempt to establish the characteristic segments of creative tourism demand in Slovakia from the point of view of domestic consumers. The primary and consumer segmentation results demonstrate that the place and role of creative tourism as a tourism product should be considered important in terms of the tourism supply of the country and also from the point of view of consumer attitudes and habits. However, the development of this product is very limited and further progress is needed to enhance the opportunities surrounding this complex tourism product. The authors believe that cluster-based consumer segmentation provides an opportunity and an approach to realise the most important market segments for creative tourism. Product development efforts can thus be optimised around this new knowledge as well.

Legitimizing discourses within favela tourism

Urban slums, especially in the Global South, have become popular attractions for tourists interested in sites off the beaten track and more authentic encounters with local culture. This practice has drawn attention from the media and extensive academic research, pointing out its controversial character due to the uneven power relations between hosts and guests and the commodification of poverty to turn it into a tourist attraction. Though acknowledging this pitfall, this work takes a different approach. We argue that tourism has agency in co-producing meanings and values in the process of making and consuming slums as tourist places. Within this process, the cultural capital of slums may find new avenues of legitimization. We critically analyze how discursive practices may valorize and legitimize slums as spaces for cultural production and consumption and the role of tourism in ordering, valuing, and visualizing vernacular cultural landscapes. The paper examines the case of favelas in Rio de Janeiro open to tourist visitation. Using as sources 79 articles from virtual media outlets (a mainstream, hegemonic newspaper, and a popular grassroots publication), official social media accounts, and tourism policies, we leverage Foucauldian discourse analysis and scrutinized the data, drawing insights on three categories of legitimization: authorization, rationalization, and moral evaluation. Our main findings show that tourism is often portrayed as a justification for securitization policies, as well as for fiscalization and formalization processes. Tourists were perceived to have authority in evaluating and valorizing slums’ cacophonic landscape beyond the evaluations of hegemonic social and political elites, which makes for a potential avenue of legitimization. However, in employing a more critical scope, two questions resonate: (1) who benefits from the valorization of slums’ cultural capital and, (2) who decides on the social validity of emergent cultural elements?

관광해설서비스의 속성 인식이 해설서비스 재이용의도와 여행만족도에 미치는 영향

The study investigated the impact of the tourism interpretation service attributes on the intention to service re-use and tourist satisfaction. The practical survey was performed for the tourists who had travel experiences in three years with the use of interpretation services at tourist places. The analysis of 259 questionnaires indicated that the tourism interpretation service consisted of two main attributes as a result of factor analysis: interpreters' professionality(the interpretation competence, the professional knowledge, the attitude of the interpreters, and the diversity of information by the interpreters) and the usability of interpretation service(the possibility of interpreter choice, the diversity of interpreting tourist places, the accessibility of service information, and the convenience of interpretation service reservation). By multiple regression analysis, the attribute of interpreters' professionality and the usability of interpretation service directly and significantly contributed to the intention to service re-use and tourist satisfaction. It also found that the attribute of interpreters' professionality had a more significant influence than the attribute of the usability of interpretation service on tourist satisfaction. The results show that the professionality of the interpreters and usability of the interpreter service would be crucial factors to improve tourists’ experiences at tourist destinations and suggest reinforcing the interpretation competence of the tourism interpreters in the fields and systemizing the interpreter service to enhance the tourists’ convenience and make the most of interpreters. The study provides theoretical implication for the significance of the usability of the interpreter service as well as the professionality of the interpreters, and practical implication for the necessity of providing education and training programs for the interpreters.

Transport and geographic location of recreational and tourist centers as a factor in the development of tourism (on the example of Chernivtsi oblast)

The peculiarities of the transport and geographical position of Chernivtsi oblast and the possibilities of its use for the development of tourism and recreation are analyzed. The possibilities of transport connection of the region with other regions of Ukraine and foreign countries are investigated. Some aspects of the location of individual recreational and tourist centers of the region relative to the most important transport highways in the context of the transfer of tourists to the main destinations are revealed. Transport services are an integral part of the tourist product and an important factor in the development of tourism in the region. The transport accessibility of the most popular tourist facilities depends on the level of development of the transport complex, which in turn affects the price of the tourist product, its quality and the final impressions of tourists from visiting tourist places. One of the key factors affecting the development of the transport complex of the region is its transport and geographical position. The influence of this factor is first of all revealed in the location of the region relative to the main international and important national routes of communication, as well as in the distance and ease of communication from the main transport highways to the centers of recreational and tourist activity. Chernivtsi oblast, despite the size of the territory (the smallest by this indicator in Ukraine), has a favorable transport and geographical position in the context of tourism development. This is due to the following aspects: 1) A number of highways of international and national importance pass through the territory of the region, which continue in the neighboring countries – Romania and Moldova and other regions of Ukraine. The total length of public roads in the region in 2020 was 2.9 thousand km. Thus, there are more than 358 kilometers of highways per 1,000 km2 of the region’s area. 2) A fairly developed network of railway tracks has been formed in the region, within which a number of suburban and intercity railways operate. In 2020, the length of railway tracks in the region was 413 kilometers, or almost 51 km of tracks per thousand square kilometers of the region’s territory. 3) An international airport operates in Chernivtsi oblast center. This is the only facility in the region that allows air communication with other regions of Ukraine and countries of the world. Therefore, Chernivtsi oblast occupies a favorable transport and geographical position. This is primarily due to its border location and the availability of transport connections with Romania and Moldova, as well as a significant number of road and rail connections, an international airport in Chernivtsi. In general, the transport and geographical location of the main tourist and recreation centers is favorable for the development of tourism. However, the state of transport infrastructure, in particular most local roads, creates significant obstacles in the provision of quality tourist services. The most problematic aspect in this matter is the restoration of the bridge across the Prut River between the villages of Dubivtsi and Hlynnytsia. This will make it possible to significantly improve the road connection of recreational and tourist centers located in the southwestern part of the region with the M-19 and H-10 highways, which play the most important role for the arrival of tourists in the region. It is also important to increase the number of direct flights between the regions of Ukraine and with foreign countries, rail transport from Chernivtsi and to restore regular air flights.

EFEKTIFITAS BAURAN PEMASARAN DI TAMAN WISATA MATAHARI PADA ERA NEW NORMAL

<em> <em> Matahari Tourism Park is a place of recreation and tourism with the motto Recreation and Education Park. Meanwhile, referring to the data from the management of the Matahari Tourism Park, the number of tourist visits since the pandemic has decreased. Referring to the data in the last three years, Matahari Tourism Park has experienced a decline in tourists which has an effect on company income. This matter needs to be seen in terms of effectiveness, especially the marketing mix in the new normal era. The indicators of effectiveness include goal achievement, integration, and adaptation. Researchers want to know the effectiveness of the marketing mix at Taman Wisata Matahari in the new normal era. This research uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, literature study, and in-depth interviews with informants. The variables of this study refer to the marketing mix, namely product, price, place, and promotion. Qualitative data analysis consists of three streams of activities that occur simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. the effectiveness of the marketing mix at Taman Wisata Matahari in the new normal era, namely products in the form of water tourism rides, game rides, adventure rides, and educational rides. As for other products, namely accommodation facilities, fields, gazebos, culinary and souvenirs, as well as tour packages. Regarding the price in the form of an entrance ticket to Matahari Tourism Park, it is Rp. 60,000 for domestic and Rp. 150,000 for foreign countries. Meanwhile, place in the form of product marketing locations is focused on TWM locations. The focus of the marketing location for TWM products is in the Jabodetabek area at this time. Meanwhile, promotion is in the form of social media. Overall, all of these variables are included in the adaptation indicators</em></em>

Understanding the impact of tourism on spatial growth for sustainable development of tourist destinations through the measure of land use efficiency

Increased visitor arrivals and improved work opportunities in the discussed destinations resulted in infrastructural development and settlement movements, culminating in the urbanisation of the locations. As a result of increased tourist flows and growing economic dependency on the tourism sector, the accommodation and other tourist infrastructure have contributed to a change in built-up areas considerably in tourist areas. Most green spaces in environmentally vulnerable locations are being filled with concrete due to a lack of appropriate spatial development guidelines, while urban areas are losing their authentic aspects. The paper attempts to understand spatial sustainability through the measures of land consumption rate and land-use efficiency in various types of tourist places. As a result, the study concludes that there is a strong link between growing urbanisation and changing visitor arrivals, as well as population change, and tourism has a substantial influence on spatial sustainability.

 Pantai Gading Mapak is a relatively new culinary tourism centre compared to other culinary tourism place, one of its seafood culinary product that is up to sale by the food merchant is a grilled fish. One key things that the food merchant have to accomplish is the Satisfaction of Tourist is a need, wish, and hope of tourist that is fulfilled and will create a Loyality to the food merchant. The purpose of this research is to acknowledge if there is a correlation of the Satisfaction of Tourist toward the Quality of Product at Pantai Gading Mapak Kota Mataram. This research is a descriptive quantitavie research with the use of simple analysis regression as it technique of data analyze. The process of collecting the data has been done witth observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The total sample of this research is 30 respondent with the use of purposive sampling. Result of the research has found that Satisfaction of Tourist significantly affected the Quality of Product. With satisfaction of Tourist affected Quality of Product with the amount of 72,6%, the rest 27,4% is affected by another variable that has not been researched on this paper.

However, at this time the Bali Festival Park has begun to be abandoned by the public and tourists, this has made some buildings that can still be used physically abandoned. The building is an icon of the main building has a unique roof shape and also has an adequate area, besides that this building also still has a solid structure. The building that faces directly towards the sea also has its own added value, which is to offer a unique view of the beach. Currently, the world of work is very important in regional economic growth so it is very important to provide good and comfortable facilities for workers to increase their productivity so that the function of the Taman Festival Bali performance theater building becomes a Co-Working space using an adaptive approach. reuse will be a good choice because, in addition to being able to work together with various companies, employees can also indulge themselves with the scenery and existing facilities. This research itself aims to create a comfortable place for companies as a place to be able to provide peace for their employees and can share work experiences with other companies. The method used is descriptive qualitative through studies and descriptions of architectural problems and formulating solutions in the form of schematic designs. The results of this study are the elements of space that are presented in the form of floor plans, 3D Interior, and exterior.

Sosialisasi Tanaman Herbal Dan Pembutan Jahe Instan Di Kelurahan Sambuli Kecamatan Nambo

Nambo District is one of the coastal tourist destinations for the Kendari city community and its surroundings. As a tourist place, many mobilities of residents from outside enter the Nambo District area, making it vulnerable to the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, there is still a lack of awareness of some people to implement the Healthy Living Community Movement, including the lack of knowledge of some people in utilizing and processing nutritious herbal plants into herbal medicines that can be used as traditional medicines in maintaining and improving health during a pandemic. The solution to this problem is counseling/socialization and education about using and strengthening efficacious herbal plants and making packaged herbal medicine (instant ginger), which are practical steps in maintaining and improving health during a pandemic and can have sold/economic value.

Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Virtual Korean Wave Experience: Perspective on Experience Economy

This study examined the effect of four dimensions (i.e., the experience of education, entertainment, aesthetics, and escape) of the experience economy on participants’ attachment values toward tourism places in the context of the virtual Korean Wave experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also tested the relationship between attachment values and continuous immersion intention in virtual reality. An online survey was conducted on Asian people who experienced the Korean Wave culture, and 387 questionnaires were completed. Statistical analyses were used to establish the relationship between experiences, satisfaction, and continuous immersion intention comprising descriptive analysis, explanatory factor analyses, and multiple regression analysis. The result showed that the virtual Korean Wave (entertainment, educational, aesthetic, and escapism experience) significantly impacted participants’ attachment values. The meaningful virtual experiences would provide new insights into enhancing participants’ attachment to tourist places. There is little research examining the cultural experience and the attachment values of online users within the experience economy, despite the emergence and continuation of the novel coronavirus, which has led to many challenges in social, economic, technological, and medical systems’ lifestyles

Framing the tourist spatial identity of a city as a tourist product

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to develop a methodology for shaping the tourist spatial identity of the city and to take advantage of it to discover alternative urban outdoor spaces. As the number of indoor visitors has been limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, open urban areas such as streets, squares and parks have become more important tourist locations.Design/methodology/approachThe assessment methodology consists of two basic steps. In the first step, the authors look for places or points that are carriers of spatial identity. For this purpose, the method of mental mapping is used. In the second step, statistical methods are used to evaluate the spatial suitability for the most common tourist activities. To obtain a holistic picture, a temporal component is included.FindingsThe application of the methodology is presented in the form of a case study. The obtained research results provide an insight into the spatial situation of the city of Maribor (Slovenia, Europe). Tourist spatial identity of a city depends on time. Based on the value of spatial sensitivity indicator and the suitability of activities, it is possible to adapt the tourist offer to the temporal component.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is an original perspective on the spatial identity of tourists. The presented approach could be integrated as a good practice in any other city worldwide. It supports the identification of suitable outdoor tourist places that are memorable, cosy, multifunctional and can be recommended by city guides (mobile or printed books). Every city has many hidden gems that tourists have yet to discover.

ANALISIS PROGRAM NON DRAMA TERHADAP MINAT PROMOSI DAN MINAT MASYARAKAT BERKUNJUNG DALAM PERAN SERTA STASIUN TELEVISI

Communities is important aspect in the survival of a tourist destinations and the community also an important aspect in the success a program a television show where in the program present information devoted to the communityAs for the kind of research used is research quantitative with the methods descriptive verifikatif which is to explain x, y and looking for relation of them in size sample as much as 140 respondents. The sampling techniques used is random sampling .Analysis techniques the data used analytics linear regression multiple. The research results show positive results and significant on variables subjects that is content program, format program, duration program and simultaneously to interest visit community. Magnitude impact of the Program of interest visit communities is a very important aspect for the continuity of tourism places in the program.

A data-driven perspective for sensing urban functional images: Place-based evidence in Hong Kong

Urban life involves a large variety of urban functions and human activities in a dense context due to the inherent nature of cities. Although technical frameworks have been previously proposed to understand urban functions and activities, there are limited studies that concern the individual places within a city and their detailed characteristics at a local scale. Using points of interest (POIs), we present a data-driven analytical framework to explore urban space containing urban functions and relevant activities by focusing on particular urban places. Urban functions are first extracted and induced by leveraging a latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic modeling technique. We next evaluate the thematic functional differences among the selected places using the location quotient (LQ). Furthermore, tourist functions are assumed to occur in places within a city and carry broadly identifiable information; thus, tourist places are studied by comparing their perceptual experiences using the high-frequency keywords retrieved from tourist reviews on TripAdvisor. By adopting Hong Kong as our case study, the findings reveal considerable diversity of urban functions across different places, while each place displays the distinctive trait of urban functions. Tourist impressions reflected online are primarily consistent with the corresponding functional identities of these places but exhibit additional details associated with emotional and temporal aspects. This study uses a bottom-up assessment of local functions, and discusses their practical implications as related to city branding strategies.
