Current state of tourism human resources in Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam

In recent years, the development of the tourism industry has been contributing to promoting economic restructuring, while preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage and natural resources; creating many jobs, improving people's lives; accelerating the process of international integration, promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam. To continue promoting the achievements of the tourism industry, it is necessary to promote all resources of the industry, approach new trends and transform appropriately in the context of the impact of the current epidemic situation. In particular, developing tourism human resources, especially high-quality ones, is a direction in line with the trend of international economic integration. Human resources play a key role in determining the success or failure of tourism businesses. However, developing a high-quality human resource team for tourism is still a difficult problem. Conditions affecting the tourism development of a destination through visitors’ evaluation: The case of Sapa Town, Lao CAI Province, Vietnam

The research aims to determine the conditions that affect the tourism development of a destination through the evaluation of tourists (in the case of Sapa town, Lao Cai province, Vietnam). Using quantitative methods, the article uses SPSS software to process interview results from 400 tourists according to four groups of factors: (i) accessibility to public communication services, hotel amenities and hygiene, level of convenience and comfort of sightseeing transportation; (ii) the adequacy, capacity, and hygiene of the parking lot, the diversity and specificity of souvenirs, the attractiveness and diversity of entertainment activities, (iii) security issues, order, and safety and (iv) the quality of tourism human resources. The research results show a group of conditions, such as the adequacy, capacity, and hygiene of the parking lot, the diversity and specificity of souvenirs, and the attractiveness and diversity of entertainment activities. Location and natural landscape have the strongest impact on the development of a tourist destination. While factors in groups I, iii, and iV have a lower level of influence. From there, this study proposes policy implications for improving the service quality of the destination, such as: the issue of human resource training, the quality of infrastructure; renewing products and services, and diversifying local cultural experiences. In particular, the quality of human resources is an issue that needs improvement not only in Sapa but also for many tourist destinations in mountainous regions of Vietnam.

Developing a strategy for fisheries-based tourism potential on Jolosutro beach, Blitar Regency, East Java Province

The development of infrastructure in the form of the South Crossline provides positive impacts on the regions it passes through, including Blitar Regency in East Java Province. The South Crossline in Blitar Regency passes through several exotic beaches, one of which is Jolosutro Beach. Jolosutro Beach is already well-known as a religious tourist destination for Hindu devotees. During significant moments such as the Melasti Ceremony and the Tabur Kasanga Ceremony, this beach is crowded with Hindu devotees and domestic tourists, reaching up to 15,000 people. At other times, the beach is visited by around 500 visitors, and the number increases during holidays. To enhance the tourism appeal in the Jolosutro area, development is needed to integrate tourism activities through fisheries-based initiatives. This study utilizes the SWOT analysis method to identify several priority strategies that can be implemented to increase tourist visits and improve the income of the local community. The strategies for developing fisheries-based tourism potential in Jolosutro Beach, Blitar Regency, include: creating branding through the identification of cultural and fisheries tourism potential that reflects local wisdom values, establishing destination management governance, providing tourism human resources training, and providing funding support for fishermen and micro and small-scale businesses (CSR).

Competency Standardization for Indonesian Tourism Human Resources: Implementation in Education, Training and Competency Certification

The increasing trend of Indonesia's tourism competitiveness has placed it as one of the priority industrial sectors in Indonesia. However, this achievement is not in line with increasing the competitiveness of human resources (HR). The national work competency standardization system (SKKN), which the Indonesian Government has implemented since 2012, has not been effective, and human resources' competitiveness has even shown a negative trend. It is feared that this situation will hamper the growth rate of Indonesia's tourism competitiveness in the future. The purpose of this study is to critically analyze the application of the SKKNI system, which is focused on education, training, and competency certification of Indonesian tourism human resources, to uncover the inhibiting factors for its implementation. This education, training, and competency certification are the main components in the performance of the SKKNI system in Indonesia. The research was carried out by reviewing the relevant literature, analyzing the processes and elements in applying the SKKNI system. Research data is secondary data collected from data sources of Government and non-government institutions and scientific and non-scientific literature available on official government websites and the internet. The research results are then triangulated to get a comprehensive picture and understanding of the application of the SKKNI system. The results showed that the implementation of the SKKN system was effective in increasing the capacity of Indonesian tourism human resources but has a tiny growth Quantitatively. The main obstacle is limited trainer, assessor, facilities, and educational, training, and certification institutions to produce trained and certified human resources of tourism.

Analysis of the Revitalization Strategy for the Development of Wamsoba Beach Tourism Area, Namrole District, South Buru Regency

Objective study This is for analyze about analysis strategy revitalization development area tour beach especially on the beach Wamsoba Subdistrict Namrole, South Buru Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative type, namely an analysis used to describe or solve problems systematically using the SWOT analysis method. The results of this study indicate several strategies that need to be carried out by Service Tourist and District Culture. Among them is are arranging and repairing damaged facilities, keeping beaches/objects clean, providing annual operational costs, coordinating with local governments in terms of budget availability. Based on the SWOT analysis, build network cooperation with stakeholders so that the management process area beach Wamsoba. Strategi Dinas Parawisata Provinsi Maluku Dalam Meningkatkan Kunjungan Wisata

This research is a qualitative research that aims to analyze the strategy of the Tourism Office in increasing tourist visits (Case study on World Peace Gong). This research was conducted at the Maluku Province Tourism Office. Data collection is obtained through primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the GPD historical tourist destination is one of the tourist attractions managed directly by the Maluku Province Tourism Office. In its management, there are obstacles, namely the lack of parking lots, some infrastructure that is starting to be damaged, the lack of quality of tourism human resources and the lack of promotion carried out by the Maluku Province Tourism Office. It is expected from this research that the Tourism Office can improve the quality of tourism human resources, can develop the capacity of tourism businesses and the creative economy, can develop tourism facilities and infrastructure as a support in developing tourism potential and can optimize technology in promoting GPD to be widely known by the public, thus increasing tourist visits.

POTENSI PARIWISATA NASIONAL DAN TANTANGAN SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA PARIWISATA SEKTOR PUBLIK

Tourism is an important sector for economic growth in Indonesia. With the large potential for Indonesia's tourism diversity, the government continues to optimize the development agenda, one of which is increasing the capacity of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to support national tourism development. This study aims to analyze the gap between the existing conditions of ASN capacity in the tourism sector and the ideal conditions to support national tourism development. This research uses qualitative methods by collecting data through FGD and a literature study. The results of the analysis show that the capacity of ASN in the tourism sector is not yet ideal. One of the focuses that the government needs to make to overcome the gap in tourism human resources in the public sector is to increase the capacity of ASN in the functional positions of Adyatama Tourism and Creative Economy. Apart from that, the appropriate and sustainable development of ASN tourism competencies can effectively support the development of Indonesian tourism

The Influence Factors of Economic Development of Tourism Industry

Objectives: This paper aims to conduct research on the factors that impact the advancement of the tourism economy in order to adapt to the rapidly changing demands of the tourism market. Methods: A case study was performed using a gray correlation model to analyze the tourism industry in Henan Province. Findings: Among the first-level indicators, tourism economic support had the highest correlation with tourism economic development, followed by tourism physical base, tourism transportation influence, tourism human resources, and tourism information service. Then, relevant suggestions were given according to the analysis results. The Role of Cybersecurity in Facing Technological Challenges in Tourism Companies in Baghdad

Tourism agencies are among the business organizations that use e-commerce. In light of the increasing risks of technological challenges and cyber threats, focusing on cyber security requirements has become essential. From this standpoint, the study aimed to define the concept of cyber security and its importance, identify its dimensions and requirements, and demonstrate the impact of cyber security in Addressing technological challenges in tourism agencies. The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach and used a questionnaire to collect study data from a random sample of workers in tourism agencies in Baghdad, numbering (110) individuals. The study found statistically significant differences between the opinions of the study sample about the role of cybersecurity in confronting technological challenges. Tourism agencies in the city of Baghdad, and the presence of a statistically significant effect of cybersecurity on facing technological challenges in tourism agencies in Baghdad. The study recommended the necessity of activating the role of the response team to cyber events in Iraq, establishing a special department for information security in tourism agencies, and qualifying tourism human resources to deal with cyber technological threats.

This research examines human resource development strategies in the tourism sector from the perspective of developing regional tourism potential. The existence of human resources is thought to play an important role in tourism development. Tourism human resources include tourists/tourists or as workers (employment). This research uses a qualitative approach, namely an inductive approach. This type of research is categorized as descriptive research. The research results show that the management, development and financing of tourist areas requires the support of many stakeholders (public, private and society) so that the process can run smoothly. The success of developing this area is also greatly influenced by conditions of security and political stability, the carrying capacity of human resources who have appropriate skills both in terms of quality and quantity.

Supply Side Reform of Tourism in Ethnic Areas Empowers Common Wealth--Based on the Perspective of Tourism Human Resources

Abstract As part of the supply-side reform, tourism in ethnic areas is increasingly recognized as crucial for achieving shared prosperity. This paper introduces a model from the perspective of tourism human resources designed to predict the demand for such resources. The model aims to inform strategies that support supply-side reforms in tourism for ethnic areas. The GM(1,1) model is constructed with the gray algorithm model, and on the basis of the gray algorithm model, the gray prediction method is effectively combined with the BP neural network prediction method, and the prediction preferences are made according to the variance as well as the prediction method idea of the preferred combination, and the final prediction results are obtained. In the analysis of the tourism human resources profile and demand forecast in Xinjiang, the total number of tourism employment in 2022 accounts for 17.22% of the total number of jobs, and the total number of tourism students in school reaches 6,189. Only 11.66% of tourism human resources are highly educated talents with a bachelor’s degree or above, and the number of personnel with senior titles is only 8.42%, which is obviously low in high-education and high-level talents. Nearly 80% of the personnel in non-tourism-related categories are still there, and the specialization of tourism management personnel is low. The demand for tourism human resources in Xinjiang in 2027 is expected to reach 2.1179 million.

Supply Side Reform of Tourism in Ethnic Areas Empowers Common Wealth--The Perspective of Tourism Talent Resources

Abstract This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of the types of tourism resources in ethnic regions and develops a framework for tourism supply-side reform in these areas, emphasizing the role of tourism talent resources. Utilizing the BCC and Malmquist models of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), this study measures the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency, scale efficiency, and total factor productivity of selected ethnic regions from 2006 to 2015. Employing panel data, the study examines the current status and trends of human resources and tourism economic growth, using regression analysis and the Granger causality test to investigate their relationship. The findings reveal a strong correlation coefficient of 0.93 between the number of tourism employees and tourism economic growth in Ethnic Group A over the study period. The regression significance level is 0.000, indicating a probability less than 0.05, which confirms a positive correlation between the level of tourism human resources and regional tourism supply-side reforms that enhance collective wealth. This research contributes a novel perspective to the discourse on high-quality tourism development and regional economic growth.

NASI KAPAU AS GASTRONOMIC TOURISM ATTRACTION IN WEST SUMATRA

Nasi kapau is a famous culinary delight from West Sumatra. This cuisine is also well-known with the 'Uni' as the sellers. The 'Uni', or the female merchant, sells nasi kapau in a unique and distinguished way. Nasi kapau has developed into a culinary tourism attraction in West Sumatra in Los Lambuang and Nagari Kapau. This research aims to analyze the element of nasi kapau to improve the cuisine as a gastronomic tourism attraction in West Sumatra. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method. In-depth interviews was done to five women that have experience in selling nasi kapau over 27 years. This research indicates the need for a development strategy to develop nasi kapau as a gastronomy tourism attraction. Storytelling is required to complete the missing gastronomy triangle to market nasi kapau. Collaborative governance is also essential in stakeholder collaboration in achieving research objectives. Empowering the community as human resources in tourism is also vital in developing nasi kapau as gastronomy tourism. Nasi kapau is already a renowned culinary attraction, but to elevate the cuisine into becoming gastronomic tourism attraction, certain measures are required as a strategic development to achieve this objective

Improving Staff Communication through Foreign Language Training on the Kanto Lampo Waterfall Tourist Attraction

In 2 years (covid outbreak) the Kanto Lampo Waterfall tourist attraction has not been operational resulting in many things changing and not being maintained. The results of discussions with management can be seen that there are 3 problems, namely: (1) Tourism human resources are very important to understand and have expertise, health and work safety (K3), (2) Human resources need to also master several foreign languages besides English considering that tourists come from various countries; Thus, the solution that can be offered is K3 training to increase skills in handling tourists and foreign languages. Training is provided by lecturers who are competent in their fields. Training runs according to a predetermined schedule. The results of the activity showed that K3 training had increased understanding to 100%. The results of foreign language training also increased to 87% and grammar use by 90%. From the interview results, the training was said to be satisfactory. This can be indicated by the request of participants and management to carry out further activities with the addition of excellent service and management training so that management can be carried out more professionally.

Strategi Komunikasi Pemasaran Pariwisata Danau Toba Oleh Badan Pelaksana Otorita Danau TOba (BPODT) Dalam Pengembangan Branding “LAKE TOBA CALDERA OF KINGS”

This research was conducted to analyze the marketing communication strategy of Lake Toba tourism and the obstacles of the Lake Toba Authority (BPODT) in developing the "Lake Toba Caldera of Kings" branding. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were two BPODT teams from the Public Communication and Marketing Division, while the triangulation informants were business people, community leaders and tourists. The results obtained are BPODT's communication strategy in developing Lake Toba branding through mass media such as: television, print media through newspapers and newspapers, booklets and new media by using social media sites and websites, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Tiktok. BPODT has built new destinations in the authoritative zone, namely The Kaldera Nomadic Escape and the coordinative zone, namely the Tigarihit Colorful Village Tourism Village in Parapat. BPODT's obstacles in promoting Lake Toba tourism are the lack of tourism human resources both in quantity and quality, the lack of community roles in maintaining cleanliness, hospitality, and innovation in creating tourism products. While the infrastructure, there are still many road accesses to several Lake Toba attractions that are not feasible. Internet access and transportation are still inadequate and there is a lack of new tourist attractions in the Lake Toba area.

FACTORS INFLUENCING TOURIST SATISFACTION WITH AGRITOURISM IN THE MEKONG DELTA, VIETNAM

The Mekong Delta, Vietnam possesses great potential and advantages for developing agritourism. To ensure the sustainable development of agritourism, enhance service quality, and improve tourist satisfaction are essential. This study aims to identify the factors influencing tourist satisfaction with agritourism in the Mekong Delta. Data were collected using a quota sampling method, with a sample size of 228 tourists who had visited and experienced agritourism in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. A mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative research was used to test research hypotheses. By applying structural equation modeling (SEM), the study demonstrated that local culture, natural landscape, novelty, assurance, tourism human resources, and perceived value positively influenced tourist satisfaction with agritourism in the Mekong Delta. Among these factors, the natural landscape had the most impact on tourist satisfaction with agritourism in the Mekong Delta.

Strengthening the Resilience of Tourism Actors from the Supply Side Towards Bali’s Economic Transformation

The tourism of Bali was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. The cessation of tourism activities has an impact on weakening the competence of trained tourism human resources, which has led to a decrease in competitiveness. As a result, it is difficult for Bali’s tourism industry to restart its activities immediately. The situation is not only detrimental to the tourism industry in Bali, but also has a negative impact on the resilience of Indonesian tourism as a whole. The main goal of Bali’s economic recovery program is to prepare its economy so that its growth can accelerate at the end of the Covid-19 pandemic and return to its pre-pandemic level by 2024. The recovery of the tourism sector also means the recovery of Bali’s economy. Although not yet optimal, tourism actors at the moment must prepare themselves to capture the momentum of tourism opening and global tourism trends, including new normal conditions, so that Bali can compete with other tourism destinations in the world. Therefore, a strategy is needed to improve the resilience of tourism actors from the supply side towards the transformation of Bali’s economy which is targeted to create higher economic growth in the long term at 7.7 percent by 2045.

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Program Agrowisata Di Desa Bojongnangka Kabupaten Pemalang

The agro-tourism pilot project in the village of Bojongnangka began at the end of 2021 with the construction of a tourist attraction, Gatra Kencana, an educational tourism destination for rice fields. Even though the tourist destination is built on top of the rice fields, the rice fields can still be planted with rice with homemade organic fertilizers. However, to become an agro-tourism village has not be followed with the development of tourism human resources and agro-tourism packages so that the beneficiaries have not be extended to the Bojongnangka village community. The absence of tourism activists who manage tour operations and the absence of tour packages to collaborate with community participation are challenges in developing this village. The methods used in this community service include the making of agro-tourism community groups, focused group discussions on agro-tourism, and theoretical and practical training carried out by the Village Community Empowerment Program (P2MD) team of Hospitality Management Study Program Dian Nuswantoro University. Finally, through deliberations with village officials and representatives of residents, an agreement was reached in the form of making an agro-tourism community group which was ratified through a Decree from the Head of Bojongnangka Village, 5 agro-tourism packages, and integration of tourism businesses to make Gatra Kencana a tourism icon in Bojongnangka Village. Moreover, the team also develop empowerment program of MSMEs in agro-tourism packages, signing a memorandum of understanding with the Association of Indonesian Tour Guides of Central Java Chapter and creating a display gallery to exhibit agro-tourism products of Bojongnangka village community.

STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PARIWISATA BAHARI (STUDI KASUS: PANTAI EKAS KABUPATEN LOMBOK TIMUR)


 
 
 
 This study discusses the Marine Tourism Development Strategy of Ekas Beach, East Lombok Regency. The results of the study are described in several answers to the formulation of the problem, namely to determine the potential for marine tourism attraction of Ekas Beach, then create a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), in order to find out how the marine tourism development strategy will be carried out at Ekas Beach until in making work programs that can realize the strategy. By using the method of interviews, observations, documentation studies and literature studies and approaches using qualitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that Ekas Beach has the potential to attract competitive marine tourism from the shoreline, towering hills around the shoreline, underwater beauty, calm sea water and lobster cultivation. Ekas Beach has now begun to be managed by the Village Government and Local Communities by taking advantage of its attractiveness. Furthermore, the analysis contained in the internal factors (strengths-weaknesses) and external (opportunities-threats) from the identification of attractions and developments that have been carried out is carried out. There are four strategies that were born, namely, Alternative Strategies for Development of Marine Tourism Products, Alternative Strategies for Development of Tourism Institutions and Human Resources, Alternative Strategies for Development of Local Community-Based Tourism. Alternative Strategies for Development of Tourism Human Resources Support and Interest. Then followed up in work programs.
