Leveraging public health cancer surveillance capacity to develop and support a rural cancer network.

As the rural-urban cancer mortality gap widens, centering care around the needs of rural patients presents an opportunity to advance equity. One barrier to delivering patient-centered care at rural hospitals stems from limited analytic capacity to leverage data and monitor patient outcomes. This case study describes the experience of a public health cancer surveillance system aiming to fill this gap within the context of a rural cancer network. To support the implementation of a novel network model intervention in Iowa, the Iowa Cancer Registry began generating hospital-specific and catchment area reports. Then, the Iowa Cancer Registry supported adapting the network model to fit the context of Iowa's cancer care delivery system by performing data monitoring and reporting functions. Informed by a gap analysis, the Iowa Cancer Registry then identified which quality accreditation standards could be achieved with public health surveillance data and analytic support. The network intervention in Iowa supported 5 rural cancer centers across the state, each concurrently pursuing quality accreditation standards. The Iowa Cancer Registry's hospital and catchment-specific reports illuminated the cancer burden and needs of rural cancer centers within the network. Our team identified 19 (of the 36 total) quality standards that can be supported by public health surveillance functions typically performed by the registry. These standards encompassed data-driven quality improvement, patient monitoring, and reporting guideline-concordant care standards. As rural hospitals continue to face resource constraints, multisectoral efforts informed by data from centralized public health surveillance systems can promote quality improvement initiatives across rural communities. While our work remains preliminary, we predict that analytic support provided by the Iowa Cancer Registry will enable the rural network hospitals to focus their capacity toward developing the infrastructure necessary to deliver high-quality care and serve the unique needs of rural cancer patients.

The Application Degree of Total Quality Standards at Arab Private Schools inside the Green Line and its Relationship with Teachers Instructional Performance Effectiveness

The study aimed to determine the application degree of total quality standards at Arab private schools inside the green line and its relationship with teachers instructional performance effectiveness. A correlartional descriptive methodology using a questionnaire was applied. The sample consisted of (281) teachers. Results indicated that the degree of total quality standards at Arab private schools and teachers instructional performance effectiveness were moderate. A statistically significant positive correlation between total quality standards at Arab private schools inside the green line and teachers instructional performance effectiveness. The study recommended the necessity of developing total quality standards at Arab special education schools by focusing on providing requirements for its effective application in schools.

The Degree to which Secondary School Principals in the Northern Triangle Region Practice Electronic Management and its Relationship to Achieve Total Quality Standards

The study aimed to reveal the degree of practice of secondary school principals in the Northern Triangle region within the Green Line of electronic management and its relationship to achieve total quality standards from the point of view of principals and teachers.The researchers used the correlational descriptive survey method. The study population consisted of all principals and teachers in secondary schools in the Northern Triangle area within the Green Line during the 2020/2021 academic year, which totaled (840) principals and teachers. A simple random sample was chosen consisting of (12) principals and (258) teachers, working in (20) secondary schools. The results of the study showed that the degree of electronic management practice among secondary school principals was high, and the results showed that the degree of achieving total quality standards among secondary school principals was high, and the results showed a positive statistically significant correlation between the degree of electronic management practice and the degree of achieving the standards of the total quality of secondary school principals in the Northern Triangle area within the Green Line.

THE MAXIMIZATION OF BENEFITS UNDER TOTAL QUALITY STANDARDS: AN APPROACH TO THE APPLICATION IN SMES OF THE AGRI-FOOD SECTOR FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SUPERFOODS

Through this document, it was possible to analyze the main characteristics of the volume of scientific production referring to the study of the variables Total Quality and Agri-food Sector in order to understand the maximization of benefits to SMEs in this sector that implement strategies based on total quality standards. A bibliometric analysis was proposed to analyze the details such as Year of Publication, Country of Origin of the publication, Area of Knowledge in which the published research is carried out and the Type of Publication most frequently used by the authors of each document published in high impact journals indexed in Scopus database. Among the main findings, it was possible to determine that for the execution of the different research methodologies, the report of 32 scientific documents related to the study of Total Quality and the Agri-food Sector was achieved. The year in which the highest number of publications of this type was registered was in 2022 with a total of 7 documents. The country of origin of the institutions that reported the highest number of records in Scopus, was Italy with 9 documents. The area of knowledge with the greatest influence at the time of executing the research projects that resulted in scientific publications was Agriculture, and Biological Sciences which contributed great theoretical material in a total of 21 documents and the type of publication used most frequently to publicize findings from the analysis of the aforementioned variables, was the Journal Article, which represented 78% of the total scientific production.

Design and Implementation of Balanced Scorecard for Maintenance Department at Hajj Terminal, King Abdulaziz Airport

This report is about the design and implementation of a PAX system, PAX system is a Balance Scorecard (BSC) for maintenance department of PPMDC (Port Projects Management & Development Company) at Hajj Terminals, King Abdulaziz Airport. It monitors customer satisfaction, optimum service availability, the compliance of maintenance practice to GACA quality standards, maintenance department expense, spare part management, and enhancement of employees’ skills, experience, and knowledge. The research uses a descriptive design surveys and formulas to assess scores, future target and suggests crucial initiatives to attain desired goals. Applying BSC, passenger journey satisfaction score indicator is 94.4% and a two-year projection of 96% and 98%. It achieved total quality standards compliance with General Authority of Civil Aviation Service quality standards (GACA) the indicator for current estimate of 4.55/5 Civil and for two successive years are estimated to be 4.60/5 and 4.65/5. The PAX systems availability indicator is 98.8% and projected 99% (for the second year). While internal process indicator was estimated at 94% and projected at 96 % in the sconed year. Department expenses indicator was 97 % for this year, while expected to be reduced at 95 % in the second year. Spare part inventory management measured at 88.3% and projected 90% for the second year. Lastly, for learning and growth indicator, the team’ skills and experience is estimate at 95% and anticipated to grow to 96% in the short term.

The Application of total Quality standards in Primary School A field study in saida City Schools-Algeria

This study aims to determine the extent to which quality standards are applied in school management from the perspective of primary school principals in the Wilaya of Saida. For data collection, a research questionnaire has been designed and applied to a sample that consists of 60 principals . The study uses the descriptive approach. The analysis of data leads to the following results: Quality standards require great attention and great care for its development and dissemination as a culture in all departments of educational institutions in order to improve performance and achieve excellence. Various educational methods and modern techniques are used to deliver information to the students. The school administration is working to improve decisions in the educational field by employing new information technologies in its various educational processes to achieve quality standards and disseminate them among teachers and workers. The study did not indicate the existence of statistically significant differences due to the gender variable in the application of quality standards in school management There are statistically significant differences due to professional experience in favor for the years of experience less than 5 years

The administrative efficiency of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the Kurdistan Region - Iraq Using total quality standards

The importance of this study lies in the topic it deals with, its modernity in the educational administrative field and related to the philosophy of total quality management, and the effectiveness of its application in the field of sports management. Especially in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences. The research problem was to estimate and know the degree of effectiveness of the college's performance using the college's total quality standards. The aim of the research is to know the effectiveness of the performance of the college’s performance using the quality standards when managing the college. The human field included: (Dean of the College, Associate Dean, heads of branches and officials of administrative units) of the College. The descriptive approach was used, which is concerned with describing the various aspects of total quality management and for its relevance with the research procedures. As for the research sample, it was deliberately selected and made up of (the dean of the college, the assistant dean, heads of branches and officials of administrative units) of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Salah al-Din University - Erbil. (42) individuals. To complete the research, the research used the following tools: 1- Scientific sources. 2- A questionnaire form. In this regard, a questionnaire was used for the study (Al-Osaili, Raja Zuhair, 2007) to suit its axes and paragraphs and the nature of this study after presenting it to the experts to find out its adaptation to the environment in which the research is applied. The research reached several conclusions, including: - The efficiency of the administrative body in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Salah al-Din - Erbil - Iraq, is good in terms of planning, method of performing exams, creating an appropriate organizational climate, developing educational means and teaching methods, and changing and developing curricula. - The efficiency of the administrative body in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Salah al-Din - Erbil - Iraq in using information technology is not at the level required to develop the educational performance of the college. The research recommended several recommendations, including: Adopting comprehensive quality standards in the college administration in order to improve its performance level. A Study on the Effectiveness of Application of Total Quality Standards on the Sustainability of the Franchise Contract

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of application of total quality standards on the sustainability of the franchise contract and to identify the difference in the conception of sample about the effectiveness of application of total quality standards. For achieving the objectives, the researcher designed a questionnaire which included the main information and upon the hypotheses, data have been collected and analyzed by using graphs, then, the study concluded the following results; the study pointed out that the application of quality standards has an effective role on the sustainability of the franchise contract, as well as, the study concluded that the application of total quality culture, if applicable, between the parties of the contract raises the percentage of sustainability of the franchise contract. Many results support that the total quality standards have a real relationship with the sustainability of the franchise contract. Many recommendations have been proposed at the end of the article.

The impact of financial cybercrimes on total quality standards according to Jordanian Islamic banks workers: أثر الجرائم المالية الإلكترونية على معايير الجودة الشاملة من وجهة نظر العاملين في البنوك الإسلامية الأردنية

The study aimed to identify the impact of financial cybercrimes on total quality standards according to employees of Islamic banks in Jordan. Adopting the descriptive analysis method, and design a questionnaire was applied to a random sample of (293) employee, and the following results were reached: 1- According to Islamic banks employees, there is a negative impact of financial cybercrimes above mentioned. 2- There is a negative impact of infrastructure's targeting crime with software on the total quality standards. 3- There is a negative impact of the of payment's fraud crime represented by source misuse, and others misuse. 4- The Percentage of the impact of all cybercrime on the total quality standards in the banking sector to those working in Islamic banks in Jordan is medium. And the study also concluded with several recommendations including work in to set up a banking system aimed at achieving information security in the banking sector to protect it from the risks of these crimes.

The Effect of Total Quality Standards on Developing Textile Arts-Based on Creativity of Najran University Students

There is no doubt that the interest in the quality of production started in tandem with the beginning of the human learning of the letter, and this interest has increased with time. The increase in civil and its complexities , The multiplicity of competition between individuals, companies, and countries led to precise requirements for product quality , And this accuracy continues to evolve with the development of measuring devices tremendously due to the need for the purposes to be achieved according to the desires of the consumer. The current research aims to identify the extent of opening new areas of work through textile artifacts of an aesthetic and utilitarian nature and the use of total quality in their production to obtain the highest standards of quality and consumer satisfaction. The study relies on the descriptive and analytical approach in addition to the applied study due to the nature of the research that uses the description and analysis of designs. The study relied on using the tissue composition 1/1 to produce textile artifacts of an aesthetic nature and have multiple utility uses provided that this is done within the framework of comprehensive quality standards to achieve the highest possible Of the specifications that distinguish the product and satisfy the consumer. The study sample consists of a group of female students at Najran University (12 female students), and the study tools include a measure of professional skills (prepared by the researchers), textile products produced according to comprehensive quality standards (prepared by the researchers), and the data are processed statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program. SPSS by calculating the averages, standard deviations and correlation coefficients to identify the significance of the differences between the averages of the grade scores in the post and pre-measurement.

THE APPLICATION oF TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT STANDARDS IN EGYPTIAN PHYSIOTHERAPY COLLEGES

Background and purpose: Higher education is the cornerstone of the societies progress. It has become very important for the educational institutions to implement the concepts of total quality management (TQM) and their specific standards to improve the quality of educational outputs. So, this study was conducted to identify the extent to which TQM standards applied to Egyptian physiotherapy colleges from the point of view of their administrative leadership, to determine whether there is difference depending on the type of faculty (government or private) and to determine the correlation between the number of experience years and the extent of TQM application. Methods: The study sample consisted of 12 administrative leaders (deans and vice deans) from 7 faculties. The study tool was a questionnaire consisted of 55 items with established validity and reliability; the questionnaire was divided into 7 fields, reflecting the total quality standards in education. Statistical analysis was performed using the means and standard deviations of the areas of the questionnaire, independent sample t tests and using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: although the overall average of the means of the scores was high, there is statistically significant difference between the means of the degree of application of TQM in the faculties of physiotherapy in favour of government colleges. Additionally, the results showed no correlation between the number of experience years of the study sample and the grades of their answers on the question axes. Conclusion: implementing comprehensive quality programs in education is highly recommended, paying special attention to private colleges.

THE IMPACT OF APPLYING TOTAL QUALITY IN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION ON ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT-AN APPLIED STUDY ON THE BUSINESS STUDIES SECTOR

The progress of universities is measured by the amount they provide to serve their societies. The progress of peoples is measured by the extent of success of their educational institutions to achieve sustainable development and the overall renaissance in various fields and sectors. Therefore, the interest in developing higher education institutions and studying of ways to achieve their developmental role is of importance. The aim of the current research is to achieving total quality management in university education to achieving sustainable development and in order to achieve this goal, we have reviewed previous studies and research related to the current study’s subject. The research has adopted the quasi-experimental method for conducting an exploratory study to determine the current status of total quality management for the study sample, and to prepare a questionnaire for total quality management in education and sustainable development. For checking validity and reliability of this research, the study is applied on a sample of (300) students as the experimental group, selected from Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University. The study comes to a number of results, the most important of which are: There is a significant statistically significant effect of the total quality standards in university education on achieving sustainable development. From this major result, the following minor results are derived: There is a statistically significant effect of total quality standards on the environmental dimension. There is a statistically significant effect of the total quality standards on the social dimension and there is a statistically significant effect of the total quality standards on the economic dimension. The most important recommendations of this research are as follows: The total quality standards and sustainable development should be incorporated into the curricula of universities to produce a conscious generation of the importance of total quality management. Also, the efforts of the state agencies should collaborate and activate the monitoring role and follow-up on universities and ensuring their commitment. Setting a comprehensive strategy that includes owners of industrial establishments to be subjected to environmental training and occupational safety and put it within the licensing requirements to ensure the preparation of an environmentally friendly facility. Finally, the media campaigns should raise awareness about total quality management and sustainable development within universities.

The extent of the achievement tests quality in lightened of the total quality standards (survey study at Afif College of education)

Abstract: T he aim of the study is to identify the extent of the achievement tests quality by investigating diversity of the test specifications in the Faculty of Education in Afif, the awareness of staff about the standards of good and quality testing and the level of commitment to those standards by the Faculty members while preparing their test papers. The study used the descriptive analytical method. The research tool used to collect data was a questionnaire to survey staff members opinions. A random sample of 46 staff members were chosen randomly to respond to the questionnaire. Furthermore, the study used the SPSS program to analyze the data using several statistical tests such as Pearson coefficient correlation and Alpha Cronbach to find the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. Mean and standard deviation was also calculated. Analyzing data, It was found that the tests contents prepared by the staff members are varied properly, the awareness of faculty staff members at the Faculty of Education Afif in terms of the standards of good and quality test standards was medium, the level of commitment to the quality testing standards was high and their level of commitment to quality specifications in their test papers was high.

Assessing costs and benefits of improved soil quality management in remediation projects: A study of an urban site contaminated with PAH and metals

Contaminants in the soil may threaten soil functions (SFs) and, in turn, hinder the delivery of ecosystem services (ES). A framework for ecological risk assessments (ERAs) within the APPLICERA — APPLICable site-specific Environmental Risk Assessment research project promotes assessments that consider other soil quality parameters than only contaminant concentrations. The developed framework is: (i) able to differentiate the effects of contamination on SFs from the effects of other soil qualities essential for soil biota; and (ii) provides a robust basis for improved soil quality management in remediation projects. This study evaluates the socio-economic consequences of remediation alternatives stemming from a Tier 1 ERA that focusses on total contaminant concentrations and soil quality standards and a detailed, site-specific Tier 3 Triad approach that is based on the APPLICERA framework. The present study demonstrates how Tier 1 and Tier 3 ERAs differ in terms of the socio-economic consequences of their remediation actions, as well as presents a novel method for the semi-quantitative assessment of on-site ES. Although the presented Tier 3 ERA is more expensive and time-consuming than the more traditional Tier 1 ERA approach, it has the potential to lower the costs of remediation actions, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, reduce other environmental impacts, and minimise socio-economic losses. Furthermore, the remediation actions stemming from the Tier 3 ERA were predicted to exert far less negative ES effects than the actions proposed based on the results of the Tier 1 ERA.

Degree of Applying Quality Standards in the Program of Preparing Special Education Teachers at the University of Princess Noura bint Abdurrahman in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the Female Students’ Perspective:A comparative Study between 2014 and 2017

This study aimed to find out the degree of applying the quality standards within the program of preparing special education teachers at the University of Princess Noura bint Abdurrahman in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the year 2017 compared to 2014. The study sample consisted of (108) students from eighth level, at the Faculty of Education – special education program in 2017. This sample was compared with a sample of (63) students with whom the research tool was used in 2014. To collect the data, a questionnaire consisting of (59) items was developed and classified into six themes: program objectives, curriculum, and methods of teaching, evaluation, facilities, equipment, and field training. The statistical analysis showed that the degree of applying quality standards in the program of preparing teachers of special education at the University of Princess Noura bint Abdurrahman in 2017 was generally rated as high. There were no statistical differences according to the variable of cumulative average. Also, the results revealed statistically significant differences in the degree of applying quality standards in the program of preparing teachers of special education at the University of Princess Noura Bint Abdurrahman in the period 2014-2017 in favor of 2017. It was recommended that total quality standards should be applied so as to achieve the target efficiency which aims to reach the specific objectives in the strategic plan of the university, faculty and department, and to ultimately achieve the national academic accreditation. It was also recommended to keep practicing standards of quality in order to achieve global standards.

The level of Applying Total Quality Standards in Graduate Studies at Palestinian Universities, Gaza

The study aimed to identify the level of applying total quality standards in the graduate studies at the Palestinian universities from the students' perspective. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to achieve the objectives. A questionnaire, consisting of (33) items divided into (3) themes, was developed and distributed to the sample of the study which was (129) male and female students, approximately constituting (15%) of the study population (860 members). To collect the data, the questionnaire was distributed to the sample, data was analyzed and the following results were obtained. The overall degree of applying the total quality standards in higher studies from the perspective of students was on average with a proportional weight of (62.83%). The theme related to the teaching staff scored the first rank while the theme related to the university administration scored the last rank. In addition, there were no statistically significant differences between the means of the study sample members regarding the degree of applying total quality standards in the graduate studies at the universities that were attributed to the variables of gender, university, and the academic level. Finally, the study proposed major recommendations the first of which was that more efforts should be exerted in order to improve the application of total quality standards in the postgraduate studies at Palestinian universities, and to continuously develop human resources as well. The second recommendation was that there should be a revision of future visions of Palestinian universities according to the total quality management standards, with wide participation of the university staff to ensure compliance with the total quality standards. The last major recommendation suggested by the study was to consider the university inputs to ensure that the outputs are in line with the quality standards. This can be achieved through persistent and continuous efforts on the application of total quality standards during the processing phase

The study aimed to identify the extent of availability of the total quality standards in the practicum program in the College of Education at Ibb ‘niversity from the viewpoint of teacher students. It also aimed to examine the differences among teacher students attributed to the variables of gender, specialization and overall average. A questionnaire of 64 items was prepared and distributed on seven domains: the objectives and planning of the program, content of the program, the role of practicum administration, the role of monitoring, the role of cooperating teacher. the role of school manager, and evaluation of the program. The sample of the study consisted of 253 final year students. The mean scores, standard deviation, ”t" test and one way ANOVA were used. The results of the study revealed that the degree of availability of the total quality standards of the practicum program was medium. However, the findings indicated that there were significant differences between male and female participants in favor of females, in addition, there were no significant differences among teacher students attributed to the variables of specialization and overall average
