Analysis of Barriers in Implementing Quality Management Initiatives in MSME Label Printing Firms for Sustainable Performance Improvement

Quality is essential in today’s competitive market to ensure customers are happy; recent research shows that about 90% of customers think quality is just as important as price when purchasing. Total quality management (TQM) has been a boon to the economies of many countries. Different tools and methods are used in TQM to give customers the best quality. However, there are some challenges that manufacturing organizations face when implementing these tools. Much research has been done on MSME sector, so far as label manufacturers are concerned, there has yet to be any research on a national or international level. In this study, we found 66 barriers to programs to improve quality in the label printing industry. We have used fuzzy MICMAC analysis and total interpretive modeling (TISM) to make a structural model. Our research paper provides an easy-to-use methodology and critically analyses the biggest obstacles to the successful application of TQM in the flexographic printing industry. Our research identified ten issues with the implementation of TQM in this industry. The paper has identified the interdependencies of the above variables. The findings of this research will aid in future planning, particularly in E-commerce and the pharmaceutical industry, where proper label printing is crucial.

The Factors of Employee's Productivity Towards Total Quality Management in Industry

Purpose: This study of this paper is to analyze the factors of employees ‘productivity towards TQM in industry. Employees’ productivity can be implementing to all level in organization. There have several TQM in organization which can apply to achieve productivity goals. Design/methodology/approach: Data used in the research was primary data obtained from interview and questionnaire, and secondary data obtained from the number of respondents in this research was 205. The analysis was done through SPSS method to gain the data of alpha, mean, standard deviation and significant. Findings: The findings of this study showed that employees’ productivity can be achieved by positively implement TQM in organization. Therefore, the organization needs to work on improving their TQM practices which have to meet the effectiveness. Research limitations/implications: Using a large sample size in the sampling procedure could improve the results. The implication of this study can be demonstrated through how top managers and subordinates in company can improve their employees’ productivity through TQM practices. Originality/value: This research used the variable based on the survey research. Employees’ productivity was measured using three indicators: human resources, tools, training and education.

Total quality management in education: problems and issues for the classroom teacher

Total quality management (TQM), a management philosophy developed for industrial purposes, is now attracting increasing attention in the field of education. Different interpretations of TQM in industry, however, may result in contrasting outcomes when TQM is applied in schools. Briefly reviews how TQM operates in the industrial context and clarifies how the philosophy of TQM may be translated into the context of education. Examines one inter‐pretation of TQM which aims at improving the quality of the production system in order to produce a quality product with “zero defects”. This may lead to a teaching and learning process which focusses exclusively on achieving good examination results. This is contrasted with a second interpretation of TQM as a never‐ending cycle of improvement in the system of production. In the context of education, this may lead to continually improving the quality of instruction in order to encourage students to become critical and creative thinkers in a fast‐changing technological world.

DISEASE MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES AND THE GASTROENTEROLOGIST

Best medical practice for a specific disease state results from sustainable quality improvement. This process requires ongoing systematic measurement of the local current process of care with integration of therapeutic algorithms aimed at reducing clinical variability and cost while sustaining quality and patient satisfaction. The dynamic application of these principles is disease management.
