Soybean cultivation in Russia under modern conditions

The article presents an analysis of the current state of soybean production in the Russian Federation. It is shown that the production of this valuable high-protein oilseed crop over the previous years has made a huge breakthrough in conquering the market and increasing its share in the country’s total agricultural production. In Russia, in 2023, a record was set for the gross soybean production in history, with a total grain of 6.8 million tons. At the same time, the production leader also changed: from the traditional Far East, where soybeans have been cultivated for more than 100 years, to the Central Federal District, which has achieved the largest gross soybean yields in the country – about 3.0 million tons. Production growth is realized not only through extensive development paths, but also through increasing crop productivity. In 2023, the average yield in the country was 1.92 t/ha, which is also a historical maximum. It should be noted that in increasing productivity, the direction has been taken, according to the Food Security Doctrine, to increase to 75% the share of seeds of domestic varieties in the total volume by 2030, and for this there are all the necessary resources.

Estimación de la huella hídrica agrícola del DR 011, alto río Lerma

In the search for indicators that help measure the impact of human activities on the environment and natural resources, there is one that is very useful as an indicator of demand for global water resources. Estimating the water footprint of agricultural production allowed the identification of crops that can reduce it in favor of increasing water use efficiency. Hoekstra et al. (2011) methodology was used to estimate the water footprint of agricultural products in Irrigation District 011. It was found that of 14 crops in the district, in the average total water footprint in the irrigation modules (dam3 t-1), those of peanuts, beans, and nopal report the highest levels (1.7, 1.6, and 1.8, respectively), while those of lettuce, husk tomato, and carrot crops are the lowest (0.15, 0.29, and 0.25, respectively). Of the water footprint of total agricultural production (dam3), it was observed that corn participates with 43.4%; however, it accounted for 52.8% of total production. The peanut and alfalfa crops in module 05 are economically unaffordable, with high blue water costs per tonne ($8 623.00 and $11 914.00); nevertheless, they occupy 1% of the planted area. The variation of the water footprint of crops among the irrigation modules obtained helps identify the agricultural practices that contributed to increasing yields and optimizing the application of irrigation, consequently providing greater economic benefits to producers.

Forecast, analytical and trend analysis of the development of the agro-industrial complex of Russia in the main agri-food markets as an area of state strategic guidelines

Abstract The modern structure of the Russian agro-industrial complex has the properties of consolidation, expansion and prevalence of agricultural organizations and agricultural holdings, as evidenced by the factor of their provision for about two-thirds of the total agricultural production. This circumstance states the growing dominance of large agricultural business and the progressive evolution of the agricultural sector, as well as the reduction in the importance of individual farms of the population. In the course of the study, the current state of development of the agro-industrial complex of Russia is considered, a forecast, analytical and trend analysis of the development of the domestic agro-industrial complex is carried out through the prism of the fundamental agri-food markets and the contours of the subsequent progress in the development of the agricultural sector in the context of the evolving restructuring of the social, economic and political situation are determined. The novelty of the research lies in the presentation of forecast estimates and trends in the development of the main agri-food markets of the Russian agro-industrial complex, which determine the presumptive transformation of the agrarian mechanism of Russia in the medium and long term: destabilization of international political and trade-economic cooperation, intensification of economic restrictive measures, as well as fundamentally new state priorities. The agricultural sector of the economy tends to react extremely sharply to the current situation in recent years, manifested in unstable international economic relations and foreign policy crises, which directly negatively affects the conditions for the functioning of the agricultural business. The presented forecast scenario for the development of agri-food markets will contribute to the formation of directions for state strategic management, planning and regulation of the agro-industrial complex for the medium and long term.

Article Review: Relationship between Toxoplasmosis and other Diseases

Water provision is sensitive to climate change, and agricultural production and food supply are sensitive to water availability. Water scarcity affects food security and agricultural economic development through changes in agricultural production and changes in the composition of produced goods. Recent droughts also led to a decrease in the volume of water allocated to agriculture, which led to a decrease in total agricultural production and exports, and this has subsequent impacts on food security and economic development. The research aimed to measure the impact of water scarcity on agricultural economic development for the period 1990-2022. The research included three behavioral equations with three endogenous variables: the cultivated area, the value of agricultural output, and the value of gross domestic product, and four exogenous variables: the amount of available water, agricultural labor, and the value of agricultural investments and the income of other sectors, the studied model is called the sequential model, which was estimated using the Recursive method, using the ordinary least squares (OLS) method. The results indicated that increasing the amount of available water will lead to an increase in the cultivated areas by 141,129.2 dunums, and that increasing one thousand dunums of the cultivated area will increase agricultural output by 0.00821, and that agricultural labor is inversely proportional to agricultural output. It became clear that if the income of the rest of the sectors increased by one unit, the domestic product would increase by 0.1873. Water scarcity will reduce cultivated areas, which in turn will decrease agricultural output, causing the value of agricultural output to decrease and its contribution to the gross domestic product to decrease. In turn, it will have serious repercussions on agricultural economic development. Therefore, the research recommends the necessity of integrated water management and improving the efficiency of its use, as well as the application of modern technologies in agriculture, such as sprinkler irrigation, hydroponics, and redrawing crop compositions to ensure maximizing the net return per unit of water.

A quantitative framework for characterizing the current and obtaining a future sustainable agricultural production mix meeting environmental, nutritional, and economic goals

Transitioning toward sustainable agriculture production is key in achieving sustainable development goals. However, quantifying the sustainability status of current agricultural mix and figuring out a future sustainable crop and livestock production mix that is nutritionally adequate, low in environmental impact and profitable to farmers, is a formidable challenge for any country. Here through a case-study on Indian agriculture, we demonstrate the application of a framework to first characterize the current agricultural mix by comparing 31 sustainability indicators with respective benchmarks across nutrition (social), environment and economic dimensions in each of the 36 Indian states. Next, we demonstrate the application of mathematical optimization algorithms to calculate the sustainable production mix in each state with the objective of maximizing the farmers’ profit under the constraint that the total national agricultural production meets the nutritional requirements of population without exceeding the current environmental footprint levels. Characterization results show that India does not produce enough of certain micronutrients (vitamin-E, and choline) and the carbon, nitrogen and freshwater footprints exceed their planetary boundaries while the farmers’ income remains below national targets. Optimization algorithm generated the sustainable production amounts of 138 crop and livestock items in each state and showed that fruits, vegetables, legumes, and oilseeds production needs to increase by 50%–100% while the cereals production amounts need to reduce to 50% of current levels in India. This will result in an increase in farmer’s income by 25% on average, fulfil the nutritional requirements of population and reduce the environmental footprint by 10%. Our approach can act as a template for other countries in collecting necessary data on sustainability indicators and determining optimum crop and livestock mix.

Liquid Nano Urea: Step Forward to Smart Agriculture- A Review

Chemical fertilizer is necessary for the growth and development of crops. However, the efficiency of conventional chemical fertilizers is very low. Nowadays, fertilizer use efficiency (FUE) is the focus of agriculture cultivation practices to meet economic and environmental challenges. Around half of the total agricultural production relies on urea fertilizer, and the reduction in soil fertility has led to 3.56%. Liquid Nano Urea (LNU) can play a vital role in ensuring food security in Bangladesh. It can replace 50 % of conventional urea and can save subsidies to the govt. In addition, it is environmentally safe and reduces production costs, ensuring an increase in the total yield of 8-20%. Ensuring 90% work efficiency, the utilization of cutting-edge technologies and modern innovation in agricultural practices to enhance sustainability and efficiency in farming. Only two sprays of LNU can change the whole scenario of food safety. Recommended dose of optimize the use of nano urea for improved crop productivity and sustainability. The proper application of nano urea holds immense potential for enhancing crop production efficiency and sustainability.

Risk assessment of Retithrips syriacus for the EU.

Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Plant Health performed a quantitative risk assessment for the EU of Retithrips syriacus (Mayet) (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), a polyphagous thrips, regarded as a tropical/subtropical pest occurring in several countries of Africa, South America, Asia and in the EU in Cyprus. The current risk assessment focused on potential pathways for entry, the climatic conditions allowing establishment, the expected spread capacity and the impact considering a time horizon of 10 years (2023-2032). The Panel identified the import of cut roses, persimmons, table grapes, as well as plants for planting of the genera Acalypha and Terminalia from third countries and those of Persea americana (avocado) from Israel as the most relevant entry pathways to consider. Over the next 10 years, an annual median estimate of 95 (90% Certainty Range, CR, ranging from 13 to 1832) potential R. syriacus founder populations per year are expected to successfully transfer to a suitable host in the EU NUTS2 regions where the climatic conditions are predicted as suitable for establishment; this value drops to a median of 4.6 founder populations per year (90% CR: 1 every 1.9 years - 85.6 per year) after considering the actual probability of establishment of a potential founder population. The estimated number of founder population per year is mostly driven by the import of cut roses and plants for planting. If such founder populations were to establish, R. syriacus is estimated to spread at a median rate of 0.05 km/year (90% CR 0.02-2.30 km/year) after a median lag phase of 1.1 years (90% CR 0.3-3.3 years). The overall impact on yield (expressed as % of the total agricultural production) directly attributable to R. syriacus when considering: (i) the main R. syriacus hosts in the EU, (ii) the areas of the EU where establishment is possible, (iii) the current agricultural practices and (iv) the evidence of impact from the countries where the pest is established for a long time, was estimated at 0.065% as the median value of the uncertainty distribution (90% CR 0.001%-0.571%). Options for risk reduction are discussed, but the effectiveness was not quantified.

Ethno Veterinary Approaches on Control and Treating Parasitic Diseases

In most African countries livestock contribute 30% of total agricultural gross domestic product. More than 60% of the population depends on agriculture for their livelihood. Parasitic worms or helminths occur worldwide parasitizing the body of humans and domesticated and wild animals. Conventional medicine is a remedy or drug used for diagnosis, treatment of disease and for maintenance of health of an animal. Continuous use of these drugs has resulted in the development of resistance by some internal parasites. “The ability of parasites to survive doses of drugs that would normally kill parasites of the same species and stage”. In general, most of the Ethno-botanical remedies are considered as economical and safe. Furthermore, these remedies are easily available, simple to prepare and/or administer, at minute or free of cost to the farmer. Today many of the allopathic anthelmintics available in the market are either not effective or have induced resistance, resulting in recurrence of parasitic infestations. External parasites affecting different animals are ticks, mites, lice and fleas. Extract the active compounds from the medicinal plants and then test their anthelmintic activity, through in vitro and in vivo systems. Traditional medicine in Ethiopia has been widely used by various ethnic groups, about 90% of livestock population depends on traditional medicine and most of it comes from plants. Herbal medicine has not been documented adequately in Ethiopia and there is a danger that this knowledge will soon be lost as traditional social patterns are increasingly disturbed by globalization, environmental degradation, agricultural expansion, cultivation of marginal lands and urbanization.

A Study on the Influence Factors of Agricultural Carbon Emissions in Hunan Province Based on Random Forest Model

Agricultural carbon reduction contributes to the realization of “carbon peak and carbon neutrality” strategy. This article analyzes the previous years’ data of agricultural carbon emissions in Hunan Province, and obtains the variation of carbon emissions; Using the random forest method to analyze the influence factors of agricultural carbon emissions in Hunan Province, it is proven that unit crop production value, unit energy carbon emissions in agriculture, and unit agricultural GDP energy consumption are the three most critical factors affecting agricultural carbon emissions in Hunan Province. LDMI method is used for validation. Sensitivity analysis was conducted on factors such as agricultural energy consumption, total production value of AFAF(Agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishing), total agricultural production value, crop yield, crop planting area, and non-urban population. The first five changes have a positive impact on agricultural carbon emissions, while non-urban population has a downward and then upward trend.

Transfer of farmland operation rights and improvement of productivity of farmers: theory and empirical evidence

PurposeThe results of this study have significant policy implications for charting a new course toward enhancing agricultural productivity among Chinese farmers.Design/methodology/approachBy establishing a rural household decision-making model based on the transfer market of farmland operation rights, this paper systematically analyzes the effects of land transfer-in and land transfer-out on the productivity (per labor income) of rural households. The authors conducted basic regression analysis and robustness tests using propensity score-matching and proxy variable approaches based on the micro survey data from rural households in 30 counties in 21 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions in 2013.FindingsAfter the completion of land transfer, the total productivity of rural households transferring in lands will increase with an increase in the agricultural productivity; the total productivity of rural households transferring out land will increase due to a rise in non-agricultural productivity and the absolute total productivity of rural households not involved in land transfer will remain unchanged.Originality/valueUnlike previous literature, this paper discusses the impacts of land transfer-in and transfer-out on total productivity, agricultural productivity and non-agricultural productivity among various rural households (i.e. those transferring in land, transferring out land or which are self-sufficient).

Upshot of Exchange Rate on Export and Import of Agricultural Production in Bangladesh

An important factor in trade is the currency's exchange rate and fluctuation of exchange rate is very concerning issue in current period over the world. Bangladesh, a developing economy, depends mostly on agriculture sector, recent period’s fluctuation of exchange rates of the country influences its export and import of the agricultural production. This research examines how the real exchange rate affects agricultural production's import and export between 1977 and 2015 in Bangladesh. Variables like Total Agricultural Production, Real Gross Domestic Product, Exchange rates, and Exports and Imports of Agricultural Product have been taken for this study. Ordinary Least Square Method (OLS) and other related econometrical techniques are applied to find the association among indicators. The research indicates that the exchange rate shows no discernible effect on the import and export of agricultural production in Bangladesh. However, Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country portraits no significant influence on agricultural exports while portraits positive significant influence on agricultural imports. This research contributes to appropriate policies and actions that must be implemented at an equitable level.

The impact of climate change and production technology heterogeneity on China's agricultural total factor productivity and production efficiency

Sustainable agricultural production efficiency is important for global food security, environmental conservation, economic development, human Health, and social equity. However, Climate change has had a significant impact on global agricultural productivity. To this end, investigating climate change's effect on agricultural production efficiency is critical for the food security of any particular country or region, and China is not distinct. Further, the influencing factor of agricultural total factor productivity (technology or technical efficiency) and regional heterogeneity in agricultural production technologies of China are worth exploring for sustainable agricultural growth. To this end, this study employed the DEA-Malmquist Productivity Index to gauge the total factor productivity change (TFPC) in 31 provinces and administrative units of China from 2000 to 2021. Additional inputs of climate factors were added to the estimation process to explore the impact of climate change on TFPC for different periods and regions. The meta-frontier analysis estimates the agriculture production technology gap among nine regions of China. Results revealed that climate factors could overestimate China's average total factor agricultural productivity over the study period. Among 8 out of 9 regions in China witnessed the diverse effects of climate factors; however, it positively impacted agricultural TFPC in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. Sichuan Basin and surrounding regions performed best, ranked top in China with an average growth rate of 22.3 % in TFPC. Decomposing the TFPC into efficiency and technological change, the study found that the influence of climate on technological change is greater than compared to efficiency change. Northeast China Plain and Sichuan Basin and surrounding regions have superior agriculture production technology with a TGR score 1. Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis test proved the statistically significant difference among agricultural productivity scores estimated with and without climate factors and production technology gaps among nine regions of China.

Economic Study of the Impact of the Value of Egypt's Agricultural Production on Gross Domestic Product (GDP)

The gross domestic product expresses the economic value of goods and services during a specific period of time, and the agricultural sector affects the value of the gross domestic product. The problem of the research lies in the low contribution of the value of agricultural output to the value of the gross domestic product. Therefore, the research aims to study the value of agricultural production and find out the extent of its impact on the value of the output. Gross domestic. It was shown from the results that a one-unit increase in the value of the total agricultural production, plant production, animal production, and fish production on a trip basis leads to an increase in the value of the gross domestic product by 6.95, 12.99, 19.32, and 58.59 billion pounds, respectively, as the stability became clear. The relative values of plant production, animal production, fish production, field crops, vegetable crops, and fruit crops, respectively, where the coefficient of variation was estimated at approximately 0.34%, 0.36%, 0.49%, 0.32%, 0.40%, and 0.38%, respectively, during the study period. While it was found that the production values of medicinal and aromatic plants were relatively unstable, the coefficient of variation was estimated at about 0.58%. Studying the development of the total production values of field crops in the three loops shows the relative stability of the production values of winter, summer, and indigo field crops, respectively, as the coefficient of variation reached about 0.33%, 0.32%, and 0.26%, respectively.

Mapping crop producer perceptions: The role of global drivers on local agricultural land use in Brazil

Agricultural trade and climate change have altered land cover and land use worldwide. For example, the recent growth of international soybean demand has been associated with 1.3 Mha primary Amazon forest loss and up to 13-fold increase in double-cropping areas in Brazil. Many studies have tried to understand which and how global and local drivers affect deforestation and agricultural intensification processes at the landscape level, yet few have incorporated the direct perspectives of actual land users. Under the influence of a variety of social, economic, and cultural factors, producers are the ones who make decisions that will cause a significant impact on the environment. In this paper, we adopted Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs), a semi-quantitative modeling approach to represent complex decision-making systems, and we modeled land use and agricultural management perceptions of 27 crop producers from the three states - Mato Grosso, Goiás, and Tocantins - important soybean production and export areas in Brazil. We analyzed individual models and integrated them into aggregated regional models to compare individual and regional differences among the producers. In addition, we simulated how producers from the three states will make land-use decisions under more trade and extreme climatic events scenarios using the FCMs. Our results indicate that extreme climatic events are among the most important factors producers consider when it comes to the sustainability of their operations. Climate change scenarios have a stronger overall impact than trade scenarios on local land-use changes, causing a 12% reduction in total agricultural production. The improvement of technology packages can effectively mitigate climate change risks and has an overall positive impact on land-use intensification than expansion. On the other hand, sharing accurate climate information and socio-economic improvements such as credits have larger impacts on agricultural expansion than productivity itself. Moreover, the model complexity shows differences among the three states. Soybean trade has more weight in the perception of producers in Goiás and Tocantins than Mato Grosso. Based on the results, we discuss the importance of co-designing place-based, alternative policies and mitigation options for both agricultural intensification and environmental conservation, taken into consideration through the intertwined global and local forces.

GLOBAL OVERVIEW OF THE ONION MARKET AND PRODUCTION PROSPECTS IN UKRAINE

Purpose. To overview the onion production in Ukraine and the world, to highlight major challenges and ways of further efficient development of this segment in the vegetable market under integration processes. Methods. Dialectical method of cognition to review scientific publications, mathematical-statistical, grouping, analysis of statistical series, abstract/logical reasoning. Results. The current onion production in Ukraine was considered. The portion of this crop in the total agricultural areas and gross production of vegetables was determined; data on the distribution of onion production by natural and climatic zones of Ukraine and farm categories are summarized. Factors that inhibit the efficient development of this segment of the vegetable market were identified; they include: outdated technologies; few or no innovations; few processing, packing, and storing facilities; lack of professional branding and effective infrastructure; underdeveloped agrologistics; non-compliance of domestic vegetable products with European standards. The general strategy and priority directions of scientific support for further onion production in the context of integration processes were outlined. Conclusions. As the population’s material well-being improves, the food basket composition changes in favor of vegetables, including onions, and their consumption rises. Along with the expediency of the maximum use of the existing natural and economic potentials for onion production, one should be guided by this waymark when justifying further development of the vegetable industry in Ukraine. Further development of the onion production in Ukraine must be directed towards high-intensity production based on new high-yielding varieties and hybrids, with high palatability, and towards scientific support for the production. At the same time, in the future, technical re-equipment of the vegetable industry, development of information support systems, creation of marketing services, and development of market infrastructure are necessary.

A Survey on Blockchain-Based Supply Chain Management in Agriculture

India is one of the fifth largest economies in the world by nominal GDP with 70 per cent of the rural households still depending on agriculture as their primary source of livelihood. India is responsible for 7.39 per cent of total world agricultural production. But the agricultural supply chain used in India is inefficient and caters less to the producer. Farmers who are the producers get very less profit from selling their produce. It is estimated that about 80 percent of the profits are secured by the middlemen who have significant control over the agriculture trade in the country. The lack of communication between different stages in the chain and data transparency is also one of the major reasons why the current supply chain in India is flawed. Proper communication is essential in any system to avoid the spread of any misinformation and at each stage in the supply chain sensors are required to share data with the users so that information is collected and made available to everyone concerned with the particular transaction of goods. The combination of blockchain and IoT in the agricultural sector can provide a better supply chain system from the ground up which addresses communication and transparency issues suffered by the latter systems.

Nitrogen Interactions Cause Soil Degradation in Greenhouses: Their Relationship to Soil Preservation in China

Proper greenhouse fertilization is crucial for establishing high-quality yields, particularly as food demand grows. In this review, the effect of fertilizers, specifically nitrogen, on greenhouses and degradation caused by nitrogen interactions are critically evaluated based on a literature analysis. Nitrogen (N) fertilizers, which represent reactive or biologically accessible nitrogen in soil, are currently used in agricultural systems. Soil, water, and air are endangered by reactive nitrogen pollution. Increasing food demand causes a rise in N fertilizer use, which harms the environment and living organisms. In developing countries, more N is used per capita than in underdeveloped countries. Greenhouse agriculture accounts for 3.6% of total agricultural production. It was revealed that greenhouses in China often get 13–17 times as much nitrogen fertilizer as traditional farming. N was overused abundantly throughout the year, which led to soil acidity, nutritional imbalance, and secondary salinization. Studies on soil salinization and secondary salinization in China date back 70 years. This review attempts to draw attention to the soil damage in greenhouses caused by excessive nitrogen. Nitrate leaching and soil acidity received special attention in this review. Numerous eco-friendly techniques for avoiding soil degradation brought on by the execessive use of fertilizer are also discussed.

The relationship between rural employment rate and rural development: An analysis based on a bivariate VAR model

Rural development has been a traditional concern in China. With large rural populations, Communist Party of China focuses on solving the three agriculture-related problems. Currently, the transfer of rural population from country to city leads to an obvious reduction in employment in the primary sector. As a populous country, the agriculture is the foundation of China’s national economy. This paper investigates the relationship between the employment in the primary sector and the total output value index of farming, verifying the effect of labor factor. The econometric investigation based on the bivariate VAR model shows the employment in the primary industry has a dynamic change characteristic to total agricultural production. Further, the relationship changes from negative to positive.

Basin Runoff Responses to Climate Change Using a Rainfall-Runoff Hydrological Model in Southeast Australia

The effects of climate change have been observed in the Murrumbidgee River basin, which is one of the main river basins in the southeast region of Australia. The study area is the largest and most important agricultural production area within the Murray Darling Basin (MDB). It produces more than AUD 1.9 billion of agricultural products annually and accounts for about 46% of Australia’s total agricultural production. Since Australia’s economy largely depends on its natural resources, climate change adversely impacts the economy in various ways. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s fifth assessment report (IPCC, AR5), the adaptive capacity and adaptation processes have increased in Australia. The country has implemented policies and management changes in both rural and urban water systems to adapt to future drought, unexpected floods, and other climatic changes. In this study, future catchment runoff has been estimated using the hydrological model, Simplified Hydrolog (SIMHYD), which is integrated with data from three different General Circulation Models (GCMs) and future emission scenarios. Two different representative concentration pathway (RCP) emission scenarios, RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5, have been used to obtain downscaled future precipitation and evapotranspiration data for the period of 2016 to 2100. Modeling results from the two emission scenarios showed an anticipated warmer and drier climate for the Murrumbidgee River catchment. Runoff in the Murrumbidgee catchment is affected by various dams and weirs, which yields positive results in runoff even when the monthly rainfall trend decreases. The overall runoff simulation result indicated that the impact of climate change is short and intense. The result of the Simplified Hydrolog (SIMHYD) modeling tool used in this study under the RCP 4.5 scenario for the period 2016 to 2045 indicates a significant future impact from climate change on the volumes of runoff in the Murrumbidgee River catchment. For the same period, the climate change prediction showed a decrease in total annual rainfall within the range of 2% to 62%. This reduction in rainfall is projected to decrease river runoff in the upper catchments (e.g., Tharwa, and Yass) by 17% to 58% over the projected periods. However, the runoff trends in the lower sub-catchments (e.g., Borambola) have increased by 137% to 87% under RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5, respectively. This increasing potential runoff trend in the lower Murrumbidgee catchments gives an indication to build irrigation dams for dry season irrigation management.

Comparison of The Change in Total Agricultural Productivity Between the Groups of Developing and Developed Countries Using the Malmquist Method for The Period (1990-2017)

The economic disparity between developed and developing countries, and the gap between them, which were and still represent the interest of specialists and change in total agricultural productivity (TFP) is one of the most important measures of comparison to find out this difference. Therefore, the research aims at achieving a set of goals which, in aggregate, constitute an agricultural policy related to measuring the growth in total agricultural productivity (TFP) for both developing and developed countries (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia) DEAP data Growth in total agricultural productivity in developing countries (Jordan, Saudi Arabia) declined by an average of (0.45 , 0.59)% respectively compared to developed countries (Canada, Australia) which reached (0.82 , 0.88)% respectively. The study has a set of conclusions, the most important being the low capacity Competitiveness in most developing countries and low production and low quality may be due to high costs resulting from high input production prices. Therefore, the study recommends optimal utilization of human, natural and financial resources to increase productivity in agriculture, which is the main input in the development of the agricultural sector of these countries.
