Changes of spin structures in the course of chemical reactions have been investigated on the basis of the Heisenberg model, asseming two different exchange integrals. It is found that an axial spin structure changes to another axial spin structure passing through the torsional structure such as the triangular spin arrangement in the cyclic three-electron system. The spin structures of odd polyenic cyclic radicals and the tetrahedral H 4 radical are also torsional spin arrangements.
