Tourism as a Tool for Strengthening the “Soft Power” of Azerbaijan

Abstract The relevance of this topic is due to the fact that tourism today is a powerful and effective tool of “soft power” in Azerbaijan. The current state, principles and main directions of state policy in the field of tourism are considered. The importance of an integrated approach in the field of tourism research is emphasized. Scientific novelty lies in the analysis of new aspects and trends in tourism development, the search for new solutions and approaches to improving the tourist experience, as well as the application of new methods and technologies for the analysis and management of the tourism industry. The article provides recommendations for the development of tourism in Azerbaijan, which contributes to the strengthening of “soft power”.

Tourism as a tool for improving global education and international cooperation

The purpose of this paper is to assess the importance of tourism as a tool for improving global education and international cooperation. As a global economic phenomenon, tourism is one of the industries that contribute the most economic growth and the development of the world economy, where it also enables international cooperation by developing tourism and various activities at the global level. Tourism constitutes an important and influential sector of the economy, creating multiple uses and benefits. This sector, among other things, creates income, creates new jobs, influences the creation of international relations. The method. The empirical research was carried out on the basis of literature reviews by observing and analyzing the existing literature on the theory of sustainable tourism in the context of tourism and its importance. The conclusion. Tourism is considered as an economic activity and quite complex, becoming a powerful means of economic development of a country, therefore attention should be paid to global education, making the community aware of long-term sustainability and committing to international cooperation. Tourism today has grown into a special phenomenon. Based on its massiveness, it is accepted global industry. The global nature of tourism trends is expressed as the international transfer of ideas, information, capital and people of different cultures.

Evaluation of Social Media Tools in Health Tourism Marketing with Multi Criteria Decision Making Methods

Today, countries are turning to alternative tourism types due to the destructive and corrosive effect of mass tourism. Various factors in the global market affect consumer preferences and shape their demands. This situation leads countries to seek alternative tourism types. While developed countries tend to focus more on sports tourism, the rising value of health tourism stands out for developing countries. The high costs of healthcare services in developed countries, waiting times, and the lack of many health services offered by insurance companies lead consumers to outsource their helthcare needs. Relationship marketing plays a key role in health tourism services, and consumers seek first-hand answers to their questions. The health sector's sensitive and complex structure informs and raises consumers' awareness on the axis of relational marketing dimensions. This study aims to via multi criteria decision making to determine and rank the social media channels used in health tourism marketing. While the criteria weights are determined by the Best-Worst Method, the priority order of social media channels is determined by COmbinative Distance-based ASsessment. Expert opinions were consulted during the criteria determination and the ranking of the alternatives. As a result of the analyses, the importance of social media is emphasised once again. Social media tools, especially through mobile application applications, shape the age with the audience it reaches, the distribution between regions, the time spent and the information transmitted. The need for socialisation accelerates the development of technology with the rapid orientation of people towards this field. In this case, youtube, which has gained momentum with the number of users and the use of visual and auditory elements together, holds the leadership in the reflection of relational marketing on health tourism today, as it creates space for all segments, even though information pollution is experienced.

A Literature Review of Conceptualization Ecotourism-based Development Strategy to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Along with economic development and growth, the role of tourism today is increasing as a sector that contributes to considerable foreign exchange to people’s welfare. Development strategies that accommodate conservation interests with the interests of residents, government, and investors are based on ecotourism. Ecotourism is then seen as one of the alternative policies that can be used as a solution to the shift in cultural, social, and environmental wisdom values. Therefore, an overview is needed to explain ecotourism-based development strategies. This research uses qualitative research methods with SWOT analysis. The results of the study describe the concept of ecotourism, its management strategy, the benefits of ecotourism, and the results of the SWOT analysis of ecotourism. It is expected to be a conceptualization consideration in developing ecotourism and development strategies for national policies in the field of sustainable tourism and supporting regional economic independence. Jūjutsu Tourism: Great Masters and Important Places

Problem: Trips for jūjutsu/jujitsu studies do not only apply to the Japan. What is the specificity of jūjutsu tourism today? What are the characteristics of this type of martial arts tourism?Method: From the perspective of the General Theory of Fighting Arts, an attempt was made to describe and explain the indicated cultural phenomenon. The main method is the author's over 40 years of participant observation in the European and international jūjutsu environment. As is typical of the monographic method, various categories of sources and studies are also included.Results: A description and interpretation of today's travel conditions for practical jūjutsu studies were presented. Examples of famous masters, schools and dōjōs, and other important places are provided. Certain institutions and cyclical events are the driving force of this type of tourism.Conclusions: Jūjutsu tourism is currently multipolar. Trips to masters or to national and international training workshops depend on the location of the organization and the specific master. In search of practical knowledge, students follow masters who are not always of Japanese origin.

The potential of the institutional sector in the development of the tourism industry of the Republic of Yemen

This article presents the problems of institutional weakness in tourism development, despite the presence of many tourism resources and opportunities. Tourism today is an important element of the global economy in the 21st century, making it a global industry where countries compete in various related sectors. Tourism in the Republic of Yemen and the prospects for its development in terms of opportunities are considered as one of the strategic directions. As is known, the driving core of tourism in any country is concentrated in the companies that manage, organize, and develop tourism products and activities in the tourism and hospitality industry.

GREEN PRACTICES TO THE OWNERS AND MANAGEMENT OF RESTAURANT BUSINESS: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY

Despite making a significant economic contribution, tourism today clearly has a negative influence on the environment. Along with other stakeholders, visitors are worried about environmental deterioration, and as their awareness of this issue grows daily, green practices in tourism are born. Restaurants can benefit from green practices by adopting them because they play a significant role in the tourism industry. The study focused on restaurants’ given importance on green practices. The research’s findings are obtained using a random sample technique, structured questionnaire interviews, and data editing in a reasonable way. The study explores that a poor number of restaurants can define green practice correctly but among them most of the restaurants have it consciously or unconsciously although such practices are not under full-fledged. Results also show that restaurants have a mixed grasp of environmental practices. Despite the fact that both owners and management understand the importance of environmental concerns, there is still a lack of instruments to fully execute them. The restaurant business must work together to prioritize and implement all practical green practices. In light of the restaurant industry’s negative effects on the environment, this research stresses the need of immediate collective action in the face of rising tourism.

Design and Development of Middle-Aged and Elderly Tourism Products Based on Fuzzy Decision Support System

Tourism product design and development is anxious with intricate decision-making processes that need to strike a balance between many criteria, goals, and limitations. In today's diversified and ever-changing tourist business, there are substantial sprints in developing and implementing products that appeal to middle-aged and older travellers. In this research, the utilization of fuzzy decision support system (FDSS) is investigated to personalize travel experiences for the elderly based on their unique interests and requirements. The main objective of this study is to reduce the complex tourism business patterns. This study presents a systematic framework for middle-aged and senior tourism products based on the literature on tourism trends, FDSS, and product creation in the tourism industry. This study proposes a middle-aged and elderly tourism product based on fuzzy decision support system (METP–FDSS) that employs fuzzy logic. This approach takes into account cultural sensitivities, accessibility concerns, travel preferences, and demographic data to create tourism experiences that are welcoming and immersive for older tourists. Through the application of fuzzy logic concepts, FDSS provides a flexible and robust decision-making platform that can aid in the development of personalized, inclusive, and immersive tourist experiences for the elderly. Customer happiness, accessibility, and the decision support system's ability to steer product development are all highlighted in the proposed METP–FDSS framework. Research on tourism among the middle-aged and the elderly also benefits from understanding user experience, cost effectiveness, competitive advantage, and social and environmental impact. While navigating the complexity of today's tourism sector, this study recommends using fuzzy logic as a decision support system to provide one-of-a-kind experiences for older and middle-aged tourists.

Perception and Attitude Towards Wildlife-Based Tourism: Bangladesh Perspective

This study aims to know the prospect of wildlife tourism and measure visitor satisfaction in this market segment. The world tourism industry is proliferating with many changes, and destinations must cope with all these changes that are determined to tourist satisfaction. Bangladesh is an emerging tourism destination and shows immense prosperity in wildlife tourism. This study adopted a quantitative research approach. A well-structured questionnaire was designed to collect data, and 207 questionnaires were selected for further analysis. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for data analysis. This study shows that tourists are satisfied and interested in wildlife tourism in Bangladesh. The challenge of wildlife tourism today is to develop more marketing strategies to attract more tourists. Wildlife operators must make appropriate connections with other attractions to maximize exposure. Policymakers must consider wildlife conservation and ensure the proper security systems in developing wildlife tourism in Bangladesh.

Culture is one of the local resources that can be a tourist attraction for domestic and even foreign tourists. The cultural tourism attraction has a competitive advantage because it has uniqueness and distinctiveness that are different in each region. Besides that, cultural tourism can provide new knowledge and experience, which is the essence of the growing trend of quality tourism today. However, cultural tourism space as a media for expression and preservation of local culture is still not clearly explained, so the application and development of cultural tourism space, especially in Indonesia, is still not optimal and has a direct impact on society and its environment. This research aims to explain in detail the concept and application of cultural tourism spaces as a forum for community expression, cultural preservation, and economic impact. This research uses a literature review method to be able to explain the concept of cultural tourism space in the context of Indonesia so that a description of the concept and how the application of cultural tourism space can be used as a guide to the development of cultural tourism space in the context of Indonesia can be produced.

An investigation in level of local community education on sustainable tourism development: The case of Uraman Takht in Iran

Today tourism is known as one of the most dynamic economic activities and it plays an important role in sustainable local development. The local community participation in the tourism sector is key to sustainable tourism development which it forms is a suitable context for the use of tourism. Therefore, education is an essential need to increase the community-understanding role of their effective participation. There is a direct relationship between tourism and education, and this relationship requires more commitment to sustainable development. Uraman County is a large region in the provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah in the western part of Iran from West enters Iraq. Uraman Takht is a collection of five villages that is part of the city of Sarvabad in Kurdistan Province and is one of the typical tourist areas. This study evaluates the level of education of the people of Uraman in relation to local sustainable tourism development. The aim of this study is to identify the capacities and roots of, Therefore, a survey form designed to collect primary data from the target group and analyzed with SPSS Software. The findings indicate that sustainable tourism with an average indicator (2.64) because the obtained average is considered below average (3), indicating a low level of education in tourism in Uraman. The second indicator is the level of knowledge and awareness of people about sustainable tourism with an average (3.22) because the average obtained is considered to be above average (3) indicates the level of knowledge and awareness about tourism. The last indicator is tourism economic, social and environmental changes, with an average (3.78) the average obtained is considered too moderate and close to 3 then the changes showing in various dimensions of tourism.

Маркетинговая политика в поддержке развития международного медицинского туризма: кейс многопрофильного стационара

The article reveals an approach to the selection and design of marketing policies to support the development of international medical tourism services as a new autonomously managed product in the structure of medical care of a general hospital. The study of scientific discussion shows the key problems and challenges for the development of medical tourism today. Marketing policy is con-sidered as a way to differentiate from competitors and create a value proposition for the target au-dience success-fully. The article demonstrates that a specific functional policy with a focus on se-lected tools can be applied to implement a growth strategy. In the study suggested about the leading role of promotion tools and customer support in the content of marketing policy. Certain healthcare institution has been studied as a participant in the international tourism market. The study reflexes the relationship between functional policies and the framework of the strategic development pro-gram, results of situation analysis and provides arguments for the necessary guidelines for strategic development, first of all, the launch of an updated program for the development of international medical tourism. Despite the in-tense competition in the market, the general hospital has advantages in certain areas of treatment (cardiac surgery and neurosurgery), which are identified as a window of opportunity. The path of the marketing policy is to update maintenance tools for new treatment programs and to launch a campaign to promote international medical tourism services. The segmen-tation of the market of foreign medical tourists has been implemented, and target segments have been identified. Goals and programs for the implementation of the marketing strategy have been defined. The example of promotion tools shows how part of the marketing mix can be built. Indica-tors to monitor the achievement of marketing goals have been identified. The different arguments provide a key to understanding the important role of marketing policy in the successful implementation of the strategy and achievement of goals for sales, markets and consumers.

ETHNIC TOURISM: THE VALUES AND MEANINGS OF THE ORGANIZATION IN RUSSIAN REGIONS AND ABROAD

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the development of ethnic tourism in the Primorsky Territory at the present stage. Ethnic tourism today is considered as a way to preserve and popularize the ethnocultural heritage of peoples. The article characterizes the approaches to the term “ethnic tourism” of domestic and foreign researchers. It is worth noting that in the world literature the terms “aboriginal tourism” and “indigenous tourism” are found, which can be used synonymously in relation to ethnic tourism. In the domestic literature, the term “ethnic and ethnocultural tourism” is used. In world practice, unique experience has been accumulated in the development of tourism in places where indigenous peoples live. In the Russian Federation, ethnic tourism, especially in terms of indigenous peoples, is also gaining popularity. First of all, this is due to the multinationality of the state. Primorsky Krai has great potential for the development of this form of tourism. On the territory of the region, there are ethnocultural complexes, national parks, and villages where indigenous peoples live preserving their unique ethnic culture. The external attractiveness of ethnic tourism, upon deeper analysis, demonstrates features that are manifested in both the positive and negative impact of its development on the traditional culture of the Aboriginal people. The paper concludes that at the present stage of the development of ethnic tourism, there are a number of other problems that hinder its development. In the first place, this is the inaccessibility of the places of traditional residence of indigenous peoples, the underdevelopment of transport infrastructure, the consequences of the pandemic, and the ambiguous attitude of the bearers of traditional culture towards ethnic tourism.

Značaj menadžmenta u razvoju gradskog turizma u Srbiji

Tourism today plays an increasingly important role in the economy, and its further growth depends on the coordinated development and adaptation of the tourist product to modern market trends, where different forms of tourism of special interest are gaining more and more importance. City tourism is one of the special forms of tourism that offers this branch of the Serbian economy a long-term competitive advantage. The main strength of the city's tourist destination is the attraction complexes, which have two functions - to attract the guest and fulfill his expectations. The potential of this demand can be fully utilized by a planned and coordinated approach to the development of this tourist product. The development of urban tourism will also mean a better place for residents to live, and economic benefits for the entire community will be brought not only by higher tourist demand, but also by increased consumption of the local population stimulated by a more attractive place to live created by the development of tourist facilities. Despite numerous attractions and values, Serbian tourist products have not been properly marketed, adequately developed, nor presented and commercialized on the international tourist market. Serbia must significantly raise the competitiveness and attractiveness of tourist products through respectable world experiences and its own innovations, relying on those products and business sectors in tourism that have a global perspective and where Serbia can build global competitiveness.

PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM IN MARGINAL RURAL AREAS: A GIS DATABASE FOR THE PLANNING AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF EQUESTRIAN TOURISM (CASE OF STUDY IN TUSCANY - ITALY)

A form of rural tourism in expansion is horse tourism. Equitourism is a form of hiking that allows for an intimate and natural use of landscapes and local territories. Equestrian tourism today no longer represents a small elite market niche, as it has become a true form of pastime for an increasing number of users. Trail planning and management need to consider the changes that are already occurring, as well as those that are predicted to lie ahead. The key trends that are expected to have an impact on recreational horse trail planning and management are highlighted in this research. Many of these trends have been emerging over decades and have rapidly increased due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recent years, in many Italian regions, especially in Tuscany, thanks to the enhancement of the Tuscan equestrian routes, projects for the promotion of equestrian tourism have been developed. In this work the methodology applied was based on the identification of an appropriate database created in the GIS context and specifically coded for equestrian tourism. The aim is to guarantee the creation of an innovative and functional product to meet the needs of this sustainable tourism sector, providing information capable of facilitating the end user, who, through their GPS, georeferenced images and maps, will have the possibility of planning and traveling the horse trail in complete safety. The final result of this research (the first case study in Italy) is the creation of a modern and complete information database of a horse trail that can be managed using GIS.

IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM TEACHING FACTORY (TEFA) BERBASIS UNIT PRODUKSI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI KEWIRAUSAHAAN SISWA DI SMK KEPARIWISATAAN BANDUNG RAYA

Problems related to changes in the structure of employment opportunities in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the existence of competency gaps faced by vocational schools in the field of tourism today. The SMK revitalization program that is currently running has a very important role as an effort to prepare SMK graduates to become skilled workers who are ready to work in various economic sectors such as agriculture, industry, tourism, and even the creative economy. This program also answers problems related to the preparation of superior human resources to process economic potential spread throughout Indonesia. The Teaching Factory is part of ten steps to revitalize vocational schools launched by the government, but it feels not optimal. This phenomenon arises so that vocational schools in the tourism sector can implement teaching factory programs in accordance with project-based learning. The research method uses a quantitative approach with secondary data collection techniques such as questionnaires and interviews. In addition, data collection in the form of tourism education curriculum is a source of data in primary data collection techniques. The analysis method uses quantitative content, exploratory, and descriptive analysis. The findings are expected to be able to answer the targets of this study which includes identifying the distribution of the SMK Tourism teaching factory management program in Bandung City based on project based learning to increase entrepreneurial interest of SMK students.

A Sustainable Approach to Tourism Development in Rural Areas: The Example of Poland

The research presented in this article concerns the issue of rural tourism, which is associated with significant economic and landscape changes in the countryside. It is important that tourist development in these areas be subject to the principles of sustainable development, which are important for the preservation of the environment in which tourism operates. The research topic is related to two of the most salient features of rural tourism today, environmental sustainability and pro-environmental behavior, which are considered the right ways to achieve sustainability goals. The main research aim presented is to indicate which of the postulates of sustainable development are being implemented and how concerning the functioning and development of rural tourism is on the Polish tourism market. Another goal is to indicate what types of resources in the rural environment are the basis for the preparation of a tourist product; for whom and how these resources are to be used; as well as the participation of the local community in the management of the resources that constitute its own environment, one of the basic principles of sustainable development. The primary method used was a document analysis and an analysis of selected websites presenting rural environmental resources used in this form of tourism. The research identified that sustainable approaches to tourism development in rural areas in Poland are appropriate with respect to the resources available there and to both natural and cultural values. For resources used in a rural environment, emphasis is placed on the protection of both elements. It has been identified that one idea for their protection is sustainable sharing, which assumes rational use to an extent that would not affect the nature of the assets but at the same time could benefit the local community. Both values are used in different ways but, in addition to their purely recreational value, their educational value is equally important each time.

Konya'daki Gastronomi Rotalarının Belirlenmesinde Coğrafi İşaretli Ürünlerin Rolü

Gastronomy science also affects tourism activities because it reflects the food culture of a society or geography. In today's tourism understanding, travel agencies and tour operators appeal to different types of tourists with their gastronomic tours. Businesses determine many tour routes in line with the expectations of tourists. In this process, it is necessary to take effective and fast decisions that provide competitive advantage within the scope of gastronomy tours, which include alternative routes for businesses. Many methods are used for this. The aim of the research, prepared with this point of view, is to determine various gastronomic tour routes within the scope of geographically indicated products that Konya has. In order to determine the suitability of the routes determined within the scope of the research, the MULTIMOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on Basis of Ratio Analysis) method, which was used for the first time in 2006 and is one of the most effective methods in the multi-criteria decision making process, was used. Accordingly, it has been determined that the most suitable gastronomic tour routes for Konya are Meram, Selçuklu, Karatay, Akşehir and Çumra districts.

Penyuluhan Pengelolahan Ekonomi Rumah Tangga Ibu PKK Kecamatan Maitara Selatan

Maitara Island is a tourist destination, there are local tourist visits, visits for tourism, in addition to tourists enjoying the natural beauty of Maitra Island then, it cannot be separated from consumption, therefore, the provision of healthy food and drinks that must be provided by the community, especially mothers on Maitra Island, the development of tourism today, presents typical culinary problems in the area. The PKM methodtargets activities to mothers on the island of Maitara. This method of implementing community service uses the method; Lectures, Practices and Mentoring Participants. The results of the PKM on Sunday, October 5, 2023, took place at the village office, and 30 people were present for this PKM activity, who were mothers in Maitara Salatan village. In general, still managing the results of the husband's income to consume daily needs, and children's education, not used to do seving (savings), other problems there is no training on improving skills to produce products to sell, adding to produce.
