The characteristics of a machining center greatly affect the machining quality of the products is creates. Therefore, researchers need to establish a machinability evaluation method for high-quality products. In this paper, a machinability evaluation of a three-axis machining center with a NC rotary table is investigated. This machining center utilizes a new X-axis component as a NC rotary table. A new test specimen for the evaluation of both the machinability and machining center is proposed. Experiments were carried out by the machining center and the characteristics of the machine were analyzed with a machined specimen. The results of this study can be applied to similar areas of machine tool development.
