Evaluation of Denpasar Type C Terminal Facilities to Improve Quality and Efficiency

In 2016, Ubung Denpasar Terminal transitioned from Type A to Type C, as determined by the Mayor of Denpasar through Decree Number 188.45/1060/HK/2016. Located on Jalan Cokroaminoto, Ubung Village, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City, this terminal serves as a vital transportation hub. However, due to infrastructure problems and damage, all Inter- Provincial Buses ceased operations at Ubung Terminal. Consequently, the terminal now exclusively serves mini/micro buses within the province and Trans Metro Dewata in Bali Province. To address the terminal’s needs, comprehensive research was initiated to evaluate facility shortages through inventory analysis. Using a qualitative descriptive analysis methodology, the research aims to identify improvement areas, aligning with the technical guidelines in the Decree of the Directorate General of Land Transportation Number 271/ HK.105/DRJD/96 concerning technical specifications for public passenger vehicle stops. The expected outcomes are to enhance the functionality, safety, and comfort of Ubung Terminal, thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of public transportation services in Denpasar

The Relation between Flow Map Analysis and Residential Density Conditions in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta

The government of Sleman Regency has been seriously implementing the Smart Living concept under the Smart Regency idea. It is demonstrated by the achievements of the Transport Service Improvement Program in the form of developing type C terminal facilities, creating a transport licensing management information system, and data collection on public transport, types, number of modes, routes and route mapping. However, the affordability and availability of public transportation access in all government facilities (such as hospitals, schools and offices) as well as the integration of routes has not yet been fully realized. In order to support the identification of problems in the implementation of routes that should be integrated with residential areas, this research describe the relation between flow map analysis and residential density condition in Sleman Regency based on data respondent who has been living in Sleman Regency. The analysis was conducted by using quantitative method, especially using the ArcGIS as the analysis tool. Research data were collected through interviews, questionnaire distribution, observation which distribute all over the regency. The results showed that the current form of movement patterns originates from residential area that have high density (in terms of population), but not all of them are served by the existing transport public routes. The mapping results showed that although the majority of movement patterns are still operating in main service areas such as in the Yogyakarta Urban Area, however, there are still many areas that are not yet served, such as Kapanewon Moyudan, Minggir, Seyegan, Tempel, Turi, even Sleman as the administrative capital of Sleman Regency.

Research on the Construction of a Digital Twin System for the Long-Term Service Monitoring of Port Terminals

Structural damage is a prevalent issue in long-term operations of harbor terminals. Addressing the lack of transparency in terminal infrastructure components, the limited integration of sensor monitoring data, and the insufficient support for feedback on service performance, we propose a novel digital twin system construction methodology tailored for the long-term monitoring of port terminals. This study elaborates on the organization and processing of foundational geospatial data, sensor monitoring information, and oceanic hydrometeorological data essential for constructing a digital twin of the terminal. By mapping relationships between physical and virtual spaces, we developed comprehensive dynamic and static models of terminal facilities. Employing a “particle model” approach, we visually represented oceanic and meteorological elements. Additionally, we developed a multi-source heterogeneous data fusion model to facilitate the rapid creation of data indexes for harbor elements under high concurrency conditions, effectively addressing performance issues related to scene-rendering visualization and real-time sensor data storage efficiency. Experimental validation demonstrates that this method enables the rapid construction of digital twin systems for port terminals and supports practical application in business scenarios. Data analysis and comparison confirm the feasibility of the proposed method, providing an effective approach for the long-term monitoring of port terminal operations.

USERS’ SATISFACTION WITH INTERCITY BUS TERMINAL QUALITY IN LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA

Globally, efficient intercity public transport relies on well-designed and high-quality terminal facilities and services to enhance accessibility, mobility, and safety for passengers and freight. Despite governmental efforts, bus terminals in Nigerian urban areas are becoming hotspots for unregulated activities and traffic chaos. In response, this study investigates users’ satisfaction with Lagos State's intercity bus terminal quality, analysing socio-economic profiles, satisfaction levels with quality of terminal facilities (QoTF) and services (QoTS), and challenges impacting terminal operations. Using a cross-sectional survey, 200 questionnaires were distributed to terminal users, employing a multistage sampling technique. Descriptive (weighted mean analysis) and inferential (multiple linear regression [MLR] analysis) statistics were employed for data analysis. Results indicate that the majority of respondents are male, aged below 40, and permanent terminal users. Satisfaction is noted with 13 out of 24 parameters of QoTF, with top-ranking parameters including parking space, restaurant facilities, and waste disposal facilities. However, dissatisfaction is expressed with 8 out of 14 parameters of QoTS. Least-satisfied QoTS parameters include staff attitudes, passenger safety, and bus service reliability. Top-rated challenges affecting terminal operations are security concerns, sanitation facility deficiencies and insufficient passenger amenities. MLR analysis indicates a significant influence of terminal facilities on overall service satisfaction (F= 2.899, p= 0.000 <0.05). In conclusion, enhancing both terminal facilities and services is crucial for efficient operations in Lagos State's bus terminals. Recommendations include improving security measures, sanitary infrastructure and staff training to address user concerns and enhance satisfaction.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE CASHLESS PAYMENT SYSTEM AND TERMINAL FACILITIES ON SERVICE USER SATISFACTION AT THE PELINDO TANJUNG BALAI KARIMUN PASSENGER TERMINAL

Karimun is a boarding and alighting service for domestic and international passengers. To support passenger services, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) continues to strive to improve its passenger terminal, both in terms of facilities and services. The Karimun Regent Regional Government remains committed to improving the regional economy, especially related to the tourism sector and maritime industry. Tanjung Balai Karimun Passenger Terminal offers excellent opportunities and prospects as it is strategically important for the positive impact of IMS-GT (Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore-Growth Triangle). In the digital age like now, money is an important part of the human economy. Money can be used for transactions that are acceptable to humans. Service quality has a very good and significant influence on passenger terminal facilities. Ha is accepted and the results of the t test calculation which is the hypothesis that service quality has a very important influence on passenger terminal facilities produces a value of t = 2.445 at a significance level of 0.008. And T count (2.445) > T table (2.01), the significance value is 0.008, which is 0.05 smaller. The value of port services is also reflected in the embarkation and disembarkation options for sea passengers at the Tanjung Balay Karimun Indonesia Domestic Port Terminal.

Strategies to Improve Competitiveness at Nusantara 1 and 2 Passenger Terminals through Enhanced Service Facilities

Tanjung Priok Port is one of Indonesia's largest and busiest ports, playing a vital role in goods trade and passenger transportation. This research focuses on enhancing the infrastructure at the Nusantara 1 and 2 passenger terminals to increase the port's competitiveness and value, particularly in the passenger terminal area. Using GAP Analysis, literature review, interviews, observations, and documentation, the study aims to provide solutions for improving and expanding passenger terminal facilities to enhance passenger service and value. The findings indicate that optimal maintenance of port infrastructure significantly enhances the port's value and passenger comfort. Observations reveal a yearly increase in passengers at the PURA 1 & 2 terminals, reaching 353,005 passengers in 2022. The temporary waiting room accommodates 1,600 passengers, while the general waiting room holds 3,666 passengers. Despite the good maintenance of these facilities, further improvements are necessary to meet the growing demands.

Assessment of Service Quality in Aviation Using the CRITIC-Supported TOPSIS Method: A Case Study of Central Airports in Asia

In this study, the service quality performance of 14 central airports that are members of SKYTRAX in the Asian continent are analyzed. The data of 2022 are taken as basis in the analysis process. The aim of the study is to evaluate the service quality of the airports included in the analysis. In order to compare the service quality performances of the selected airports, The Criteria Importance Trough Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods from Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Methods (MCDM) are used. The data of the airports included in the analysis are obtained through SKYTRAX. While the importance degrees of the criteria of the alternatives are calculated by the CRITIC method, the ranking of the alternatives is obtained by the TOPSIS method. The criteria used in the analysis are security screening, arrival, departure, terminal comfort, terminal facilities, food and beverage services. According to the findings of the CRITIC method; it is concluded that the most important criterion is departure and the least important criterion is terminal comfort. According to the results of the TOPSIS method; Singapore Changi Airport ranks first in terms of service quality performance. Seoul Incheon and Tokyo Haneda airports follow this airport in the ranking. Mumbai Chhatrapati Airport takes the last place.

Analysis of Optimization Waena Terminal Infrastructure, Jayapura City

A terminal is a part of land transportation which is the node point for various land transportation facilities (modes). The Waena Terminal has been equipped with terminal facilities and complementary buildings, but has not been used optimally, and even looks dirty and unkempt. This research aims to analyze the condition of the infrastructure, utilization and maintenance of the Waena Terminal. This research was conducted in Jayapura City, precisely at the Waena Public Transport Terminal which is administratively part of the Jayapura Municipal government area. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. The research results show that the physical infrastructure at Waena Terminal is very complete when viewed against the standards set by the government. However, in terms of soft infrastructure, the Waena terminal has not been fulfilled, namely there is no terminal management by the related parties. The use and maintenance of the Waena Terminal has not gone well because it appears there is no terminal management.

Digital Twins in the Context of Seaports and Terminal Facilities

Increasing freight volumes and challenging environments in seaports and container terminals worldwide require streamlined and reliable operations. Digital twins are seen as important drivers of the digitalization in seaports by providing a basis for higher transparency, control and data-driven decision making. In this context, however, the concept is rarely studied, and implementation issues are not comprehensively discussed. The paper presents an exploratory study of digital twins in seaports based on a literature review and case studies. The analysis reveals a standardization deficit for digital twin implementations, an inflationary and improper use of the term digital twin, and fields of research that need to be explored further. The application of optimization methods and the integration of simulation-based optimization in the field of seaports and container terminals is examined, due to its relevance for digital twins. Important lessons learned can be taken from the most advanced implementations, integrating simulations and emulations with optimization methods. An in-depth examination of multiple case studies and discussions with global port leaders yields valuable perspectives on the varied levels of digital twin implementations being applied today, including insights into the most advanced implementations currently being used in ports and container terminals. As a result of the analyses conducted, various research directions and a research agenda are presented.

The Past, Present, and Future Implications for Buddhist Nursing in Japan: A Narrative Review

This study aimed to clarify the past, present, and future implications for Buddhist nursing in Japan through a review of literature. Using Ichushi-Web, the medical literature database in Japan, a search was undertaken for papers containing the keyword “Buddhist nursing,” resulting in 10 hits. These were carefully perused, contents extracted and then organized using the matrix method (Garrard, 2020). These were qualitatively described through discussions among five researchers. Buddhism was officially introduced to Japan in 538 CE, after which the practice of Chinese medicine began, also based on Buddhist thought. Japan’s oldest nursing book was written by the monk Ryochu around 1240 CE. From 1868, however, Buddhist nursing fell into disuse following Shinto’s establishment as the state religion. In 1885, nursing education began as a profession, and nurses began caring for the affluent. Terminal-stage patients have concerns about the meaning and purpose of life, as well as the afterlife, and Buddhist nursing is currently practiced in Vihara terminal care facilities. One problem, however, is that no system of certification of qualifications for Buddhist nurses presently exists. Nonetheless eight Buddhist nursing colleges or universities offer instruction in Buddhist nursing. Previous studies on Buddhist nursing have been insufficient to produce evidence. From a historical perspective in Japan, it is believed that the essence of Buddhism, which is “teachings to bring happiness to the living,” can be applied to nursing. We believe that Buddhist nursing can serve as one of the keys to solving nursing problems in a modern society that is fraught with difficulties.

ABSTRACT
 West Java is one of the regions in Indonesia with a variety of extraordinary tourist destinations. The attraction of destinations in West Java can invite local and international tourists to come to visit. Pangandaran is one of the regencies in West Java Province. The area of Pangandaran Regency is 168,509 hectares, with the greatest potential of Pangandaran Regency is tourism both beach and river attractions. Seeing the number of tourist attractions in Pangandaran Regency, the number of tourists reached 3.6 million tourist visits to tourist attractions in Pangandaran. The large number of private vehicle users that cause congestion is caused by inadequate infrastructure facilities in Pangandaran Regency such as public transportation, namely bus transportation. Currently, the terminal facilities owned by the Pangandaran Regency government only have 3 terminals with the condition of the bus terminal is very worrying, not managed properly, does not facilitate to existing tourist areas, and there are no terminal facilities that function to serve intercity transportation between provinces (AKAP). Therefore, Cijulang Pangandaran Type A Bus Terminal presents a Modern Ethnic Nusantara concept to introduce and preserve the Ethnic Nusantara in West Java.

Level of Service Assessment for People with Disability in Kawo Bus Terminal Park Kaduna State, Nigeria

This study presents measurements of the overall level of service (LOS) for people with disabilities (PWDs) at public bus terminals. According to user perceptions, these metrics are helpful for evaluating the total LOS on a single scale. The process entails watching passengers and gathering a number of socioeconomic and physical factors that could affect how users rate the bus terminal. With the ability to assess and determine the LOS of transit terminals for physically challenged people, solutions to develop more empathetic transit terminals can be identified, and efforts to confirm the deficiencies can be put into place. It is possible to derive quantitative LOS ratings from survey data using a psychometric scaling technique. Following that, the relationship maps between these two categories of items were examined. The quantitative LOS ratings indices were rated using survey analysis. The findings revealed that the grand mean for expected service was 3.67 (SD = 0.77) while the mean for recorded LOS was 2.01 (SD = 0.58), indicating a significant gap between the two, thus needed attention to address LOS given to PWDs. A planning guideline for IPA is offered to design and optimise bus terminal access facilities for new or existing terminal stations, underscoring the practical usefulness of the approach. The outcome from this study evidently if incorporated in designing Bus Park will help in modelling bus terminal that will accommodate PWDs.

Flexible facility requirements for strategic planning of airport passenger terminal infrastructure

Facility requirements determine how and when the capacity of airport passenger terminal facilities is adjusted over time to meet expected demand. Given high levels of uncertainty inherent in long-term airport planning, under and over provision of capacity is a recurrent risk, as conventional strategic planning methods fail to adapt dynamically to changing circumstances. This paper introduces a novel flexible capacity expansion model for airport terminals that considers simultaneously real options ‘on’ and ‘in’ systems. The model is validated for the provision of check-in facilities at Zurich Airport. Results confirm suggestions in the literature that incorporating flexibility creates planning and financial advantages over conventional alternatives. Indeed, for the case of Zurich, the financial value of the flexible alternative is approximately 5% higher than the best conventional phased plan. This also suggests that phasing developments can be carefully devised to produce satisfactory outcomes that enable ex-post application of flexibility ‘on’ systems.

Optimization Of Terminal Facilities Management For Passenger Convenience At Radin Inten II Lampung International Airport

Airport is infrastructure used to provide air flight services is. Radin Inten II International Airport is an airportmanaged by PT Angkasa Pura II. This study aims to determine whether the terminal of Lampung Radin Inten II International Airport has been optimized and in accordance with applicable regulations. So from this description, the author took the title "Optimization of Terminal Facility Management for Passenger Comfort at Radin Inten II International Airport Lampung". The formulation of the problem in this study is what are the facilities in the Terminal that support passenger comfort and how to optimize the management of terminal facilities for passenger comfort at Radin Inten II Lampung International Airport. Research Methods are qualitative descriptive methods, making observations in the airport terminal area, interviews, distributing questionnaires and literature studies and documentation of research objects. In the results of the study, there are still problems that there are still some facilities that are not in accordance with applicable regulations and can be optimized again to improve passenger comfort at Radin Inten II Lampung InternationalAirport. So that the conclusion that can be drawn in this study is the need to optimize the management of facilities in facilities that are not in accordance with the rules and facilities that can improve passenger comfort such as repairing facilities that are not in accordance with the rules, regulating temperature and ensuring the terminal area is clean

A Confirmation of Elemental Factor Toward Perceived Port Quality

There is currently a lack of up-to-date knowledge on the fundamental variables as elemental factors that influence perceived cruise-port quality. This research aims to examine the confirmatory components of those factors in reflective and formative terms in order to develop a set of perceived port quality (PPQ) variables. The study adopts a quantitative research methodology, collecting data via a questionnaire survey. The research sample consisted of 305 respondents, while the collected data were analyzed using GSCA Pro software version 1.1.6. The research findings reaffirm the elemental factors of perceived port quality (PPQ), constructed from the following five significant categories as first-order constructs, namely cruise terminal facilities, port service encounter performance, port location, ground port transportation, and physical port environment quality. These were assessed through the 36 observed variables in this study, which included significant reflective and formative constructs. Executives, cruise tourism managers, and ports, will be able to use the results of the study as guidelines for designing policies and strategies to develop cruise tourism in the port area. Meanwhile, academics may employ these sets of variables to examine in combination with other factors in future research.

Analysis of the Service Level of Wamena Class 1 Airport Terminal Facilities in Jayawijaya Regency

Jayawijaya Regency has one domestic airport, which is in Wamena City, called Wamena Airport. Therefore, the service standards and facilities provided by the airport management must be in accordance with standards that are able to create a comfortable and conducive atmosphere for airport service users. This research aims to find out the service level of Wamena Class 1 Airport Terminal Facilities in Jayawijaya Regency. This research uses data analyzed from Surfey which consists of 1 (one) variable, namely Airport Terminal Facility Services with indicators which include facilities in the passenger departure and arrival process, facilities that provide comfort to passengers and facilities that provide added value. The number of samples used was 123 people. The data analysis technique used is score analysis. The Surfey results show that the respondents' responses from the surfey passenger results were as follows: those who said they were very satisfied with a score of 55, those who were satisfied were 280, less satisfied at 120 and dissatisfied at 4. So the score regarding passenger inspection was 459 and was in the satisfied category.

Palangka Raya Tjilik Riwut Airport is currently optimizing the terminal. This is done with the aim of improving the quality of services at Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya Airport. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the terminal facilities at Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya Airport are optimal or not. This research is a qualitative research using primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained from interviews and observation results. Secondary data is in the form of company documents and searches through literature. Data analysis techniques using data reduction analysis, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the terminal facilities at Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya Airport are still lacking or can be said to be not optimal, such as the number of trolleys, directions in public areas, and smoking rooms. Facilities at Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya Airport are quite good, but there are several facilities that need to be optimized again, such as toilet facilities, ATM centers, air conditioning in the waiting room, resulting in services that seem not optimal.
