Tempe industry is one type of industry that produces liquid waste which can cause pollution if it is not managed properly because it contains high enough organic compounds, to overcome these problems then the idea arises to utilize tempe liquid waste to become a useful final product by managing it. as organic liquid fertilizer which is useful for fertilizing plants. This study aims to determine the pH, nitrogen and total bacterial content of tempe wastewater fermentation in this study. In this study there were two treatments, namely the processing of tempe liquid waste without bacteria (blank), the processing of liquid tempeh with the addition of the bacterium Pseudomonas sp. Analysis of fertilizer quality parameters such as pH, nitrogen and totalbacteria.

Peningkatan Kualitas Kemasan Tempe Menggunakan Mesin Continuous Sealer

Tempe is a cheap food that people widely consume at any level. In the Industrial Revolution 4.0, Small and Medium Industries (IKM in Indonesia, including tempe industries, were required to increase their productivity. Currently, the tempe packaging processes use manually by wax. It takes a long time, and there are problems while exposed to the wind; the candle will die. This activity aims to improve the tempe packaging process from manual to machine. Methode was used production location survey, interview about packaging process, purchasing and handover machine to the partner, and evaluating the packaging process using the device then describing it. The location of the activity was carried out in a household scale tempe industry, Gang Baru 2, Gunung Lingai, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The result of the action was an increase in production; the packaging process was more efficient, and there were no obstacles. Tempe packaging becomes tidier and more attractive.

Serbuk Biji Asam Jawa (Tamarin Dusindica L) untuk Pengelolaan Limbah Industri Cair Tempe (Studi Kasus Mataram)

Most of the tempe industry have not been equipped with a waste water treatment unit. It is usually a water soaked soybeans and soybean excess water is still discharged directly in the into the environment. Liquid waste industrial of tempeh contain high organic materials. One of the process for wastewater treatment is coagulation with the addition of a positively charged polyelectrolyte in tempeh wastewater as negatively charged. One of plants in Indonesia that can be used as an alternative coagulant is tamarind seeds (Tamarindus indica, L).it can be used for wastewater treatment is more economical. The aims of this experiment is to determine the optimum stirring time, optimum pH of the waste and optimum coagulant dosage for treatment of the tempeh wastewater with coagulant tamarind seed powder. The experiment studied were stirring time, the pH of thetempeh wastewater and coagulant dosage to the percentage decrease in turbidity and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand). The variables in the experiment were stirring time (10,15, 20, 25 and 30 minutes), the pH of the waste (3; 3.5; 4; 4 and 5) and the dosage of tamarind seed powder (100, 300, 500, 700, and 900 mg / L). COD testing methods is closed reflux method by spectrophotometry and turbidity testing using Turbidimeter. The results showed that the with coagulant tamarind seed powder effectively lowered cod levels and the dryness of tempeh liquid industrial waste. The optimum pH obtained is pH 4, optimum stirring time is 25 minutes and the increase in optimum coagulant dose is 500 mg with a percentage decrease in COD levels and noise by 90.57% and 78.94%. Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Keberhasilan Usaha Pada Industri Kripik Tempe di Desa Sadang Ngawi

<em>These research aim to know the influence of the factors analysis that influence the successful of work “Kripik Tempe Industry” in Sadang village Ngawi. In this research we use the survey research method and the data collecting technigue, that use the questionare, observation, interview and the library study. As a sample from this research, we use the tempe kripik industry all in Sadang Ngawi there are 87 people in here. We use a double regression method. From the result of research, variable X1 (financial capital), variable X2 (experience), variable X3(promotion), variable X4 (work capability). Partially, it influence to variable Y ( work succesfull). Score t from variables respectively. As far the score t from variables respecttively: Variable Capital business (X1) we get t : 3.036, business experience (X2) we get t : 3.166, promotion (X3) : 3.647 and score t from business capability: 4.235.The result from the test F : from the four variables influence to the succesfull of work simultanly, score F :20.714 is on P < 0,05. From the result of coefisience determination, we know that the successfull of work is influenced by bussiness capital (X1), work experience (X2), promotion (X3) and the work capability (x4) : 0,503 or 50.30 %, and rest of effort 0.497 or 49.70 %. they are influenced by the other variable that it is not in this research</em>

ANALISIS RESIKO USAHA INDUSTRI TEMPE DI KOTA SURAKARTA

Tempe cannot be separated from the daily consumption habits of people in Java. The raw material for the soybean tempe industry in Surakarta has imported soybeans because Surakarta was not a soybean-producing area. This study aims to know the risks of the soybean tempe industry in Surakarta City. The method of determining the area was done by purposive sampling. The data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and data recording. The results showed that the average total cost incurred by the tempe industry entrepreneurs per month was Rp. 18,222,146. The average revenue earned in one month is Rp. 29,474,038, so it can be seen that the average profit earned is Rp. 11,251,892. Tempe industrial business has high risk with the coefficient of variation obtained of 2.09, the coefficient of variation obtained is greater than the standard coefficient of variation of 0.5. The lower limit of this industry's profit was negative Rp. 35,729,041.54, so that the tempe industry entrepreneurs are at risk with a possible loss per month of Rp. 35,729,041.54. Administrative efforts are needed in the bookkeeping of the tempe industry and additional income from the sale of waste and tempe product innovation

Analysis of Business Differences in The Tempe Industry in The City of Surakarta

The purpose of this study was to identify the business performance of the tempe industry and to analyze the tempe industry in Surakarta. The basic method in this research is method explorative. Data retrieval apart from census technique was also carried out through in-depth interviews with several key informants using snow ball technique. The research location was determined purposively. Types of data consist of primary data and secondary data. The method of data analysis used analytical descriptive analysis, explaining and analyzing descriptions of the business performance of the tempe industry. The results showed that most of the sources of capital for tempe-making business come from their own capital. Based on the results of the study, the total cost of one month incurred by tempe craftsmen is Rp. 26,096,657. The average tempe production for one month produces 40,529 tempe. The amount of monthly revenue for the tempe industry is IDR 28,779,571.00 so that the business profit in one month is IDR 2,709,914.00. Suggestions given based on the results of this study are that the producers of the tempe industry increase tempe production, so that higher business profits can be obtained, producers optimize promotions by utilizing social media continuously

STRATEGI NEGOSIASI DAN KONSEP KONTRAK PEMASARAN PADA KELOMPOK USAHA TEMPE DI MEDOKAN SEMAMPIR KOTA SURABAYA

Medokan Semampir Surabaya has a tempe business group chaired by Mrs. Pujianti, where when she founded her business for the first time, the tempe industry was one of the household agro-industries with great potential to be developed. Constraints on agreements between entrepreneurs and buyers who are large entrepreneurs whose credit payment patterns make entrepreneurs afraid of not being paid, so there is a need for an appropriate agreement for the security of both parties, with assistance in writing letters by legal practitioners and law teachers to make the agreement safe. Promotional assistance in the form of digital marketing also makes sales increase to buyers outside of existing ones. The purpose of this community service is to make micro entrepreneurs understand and be familiar with the safe sale and purchase legal agreements for sellers and buyers and to start entering the virtual world for selling their tempe products. This community service methodology is by direct assistance to entrepreneurs to make sales agreements and create social media accounts for digital marketing. The results of this community service are in the form of a letter of agreement and a social media account for tempe entrepreneurs.

ANALISIS PENERAPAN PRODUKSI BERSIH PADA INDUSTRI TEMPE

Tempe is one of Indonesia's special foods made from soybeans. This study aims to identify and analyze application of cleaner production to the tempe industry. Analysis of the application of cleaner production is done by the quick scanning method at each stage of the production process and then tested for its technical and economic feasibility (PBP). The analysis results of the application of cleaner production in the tempe industry are tool modification, fuel substitution, use of personal protective equipment, reuse, recycle and reduce. Based on the results of technical and economic feasibility tests, the alternative application of cleaner production in the form of solid waste utilization of soybean husks as animal feed is the first priority scale to be applied to the tempe industry

Stone Tiles: Unique Souvenirs for the Sanan Malang Educational Tourism Destination

Malang has several thematic tourist destinations, one of which is the village of Sanan. Sanan is known as an educational tourism destination. As the center of the tempe industry, the people of Sanan are able to process tempe into 50 types of preparations, such as tempeh chips with various flavors, tempeh satay, mendol sticks, tempeh brownies, dry tempeh, and nata de soya. Some Sanan people also use the soybean waste to feed their cattle. Many local tourists visit Sanan Village, including school students, university students, employees from government and private agencies, civilian officials, military officers and businessmen. Unfortunately, this tourist destination does not yet have any unique souvenirs which represent the identity of Sanan, and can be used for promotion and as keepsakes for tourists. Because of this, a group of mothers who are members of the Sanan community were given training to make special souvenirs in the form of decorative stones or painting stones with the medium of andesite stone tiles.

Optimize the Time and Network on the Distribution of Tempe Industry by Using the Approach of the Assignment and Networking

The problems that occur in the soybean tempe home industry are the competition in the market sector and unstable prices. The purpose of this study is to determine the assignment of employees in performing their works and to distribute them to each destination with the shortest distance. The research method used is assignment, networking using the assistance of the operations management software program - quantitative methods (POM-QM) for windows. The data used are the primary data conducted in a preliminary study. In addition, data collection techniques are carried out in several ways, namely interviews, observation and schedule recording. The finding provides optimal results for all four employees based on suitable jobs. Each employee is employee 1 with a type of laundering taking 17 minutes. Employees 2 with a kneading type of work taking 35 minutes. Eemployees 3 with wrapping job type taking 10 minutes. Meanwhile, eemployees 4 is breawing taking 15 minutes. In addition, the distribution of tempe to the destination point with the shortest route produces a distance of 76 km.

Jaringan Komunikasi Sosial Komunitas Tempe Tenggilis dalam Rangka Bertahan Hidup di Surabaya

This paper studies a unique phenomenon that in the middle of economic pressure, a lack of resource access, and high-level life competition, urban migrants can survive in a city by optimizing traditional communication networks in Tempe industry. This field-research study uses a phenomenological approach through participative observation and in-depth interviews. It indicates the patronage pattern, in the form of business patronage system conducted by tempe maker community, gives a chance for migrants to be able to survive in the city. Interaction patterns between soybean suppliers and tempe makers can save them from the crisis. The moral value of “sabaya pati, sabaya mukti” becomes a core message for the clients in conducting verbal and nonverbal communication networks with their patron. This is a sustainable life guarantee so that tempe makers in 3 Tenggilis clusters remain survive in Surabaya with their limits.

STATUS MUTU AIR SUNGAI GEDE KABUPATEN JEPARA

Gede River used by people in Karangrandu Village, Jepara for farming, animal husbandry, and source for clean water. Since 2015, river with 3 km long already been polluted. The river condition are black, smell, and can cause itching. This pollution caused by industry development in Jepara. The aim of this study are determining status of Gede River water quality also identifying polluted source which affect to status of water quality. Sampling taken on three locations, observation and measurement done in three days, where each day take two times on 08.00 AM and 04.00 PM. Analysis of river water measured by Physics Parameter (temperature and TSS), Chemical Parameter (pH, COD, and DO) and Microbiology Parameter (Total of Fecal Coliform). Status definition of water quality on this research based on Pollution Index method according to Decree of Enviroment Minister No. 115 Year of 2003. Status of Gede River water quality is light polluted with the most pollution on upstream that come from textile industry waste, tofu and tempe industry waste, and domestic waste. PEMBUATAN ARANG AKTIF DARI TEMPURUNG KELAPA DAN APLIKASINYA UNTUK PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH CAIR TAHU TEMPE

Industry of tofu and tempe continues to grow in the city of Jayapura. In the Kali Acai area there are at least four tofu and tempe processing plants. In its processing, the industry also produces by by side products in the form of solid and liquid waste. The lack of knowledge and the high cost of liquid waste processing equipment make the factory managers generally immediately dispose of the liquid waste to Kali Acai without processing it first. This can cause the waters of Kali Acai and the surrounding environment to become contaminated. To overcome this problem, socialization and training for managers and employees of the tofu and tempe factory were conducted at Kali Acai times, especially the Ojolali tofu tempe industry about processing liquid waste in a simple way by utilizing coconut shells so that disposed liquid waste is safer and environmentally friendly. The stages of activities carried out included: location surveys and partner selection, preparation of tools and materials, implementation of activities, evaluation and reporting. The implementation of the activity consisted of delivering material, making activated charcoal and processing wastewater using activated charcoal for. Activated charcoal is made from coconut shell with a closed system while the active charcoal application for processing wastewater uses an adsorption technique. The evaluation was carried out through questionnaires for the participants. The results of the activity showed that activated charcoal was able to adsorb color and acid from liquid waste. This is indicated by the change in color from cloudy white to be rather clear and able to increase pH from 5,04 to 7,45 so that it is safer for the environment. In general, the implementation of service activities went smoothly and successfully which was demonstrated through the enthusiasm of the participants and the results of the questionnaire analysis which was filled out by the participants. ANALISIS KELAYAKAN BISNIS SYARIAH PADA USAHA MIKRO TEMPE

Tempe industry is one of potential micro enterprises operating in Indonesia. Tempe isa well-known substitution food consumed by many people in the country. Thus tempeproduction has an important role in meeting the demand for Tempe in the domestic market in Indonesia. Practically in many areas, Tempe production is operated in a small scale due to lack of resources. This promising business is feasible to be developed into a higher scale. The feasibility study is an in-depth assessment in analyzing either a running business or a proposed business plan. The purpose of this study is to define a business condition with a statement that a business is feasible or not as per consideration in various analyzed aspects. In-depth assessment means that one enterprise will be studied comprehensively according to data and information, measured and examined with certain methods. One important aspect is marketing which will look at how large the market share of the business, how capable the business to attain the proportion of the market sharudie, relatively compare with the competitors, what strategies will be conducted in obtaining the expected results for the business. Financial analysis will assess the capability of a business in attaining revenue and minimizing the cost. By doing this analysis, the duration of payback period of an investment will be calculated precisely. The assessment includes financial records and cash flow report. Research method used in this study is descriptive both quantitative and qualitative using survey method and indepth interview. The research designed to capture the real condition regarding the analyzedobject based on valid data and factual circumstances. The collected data then analyzed and processed with the basic theory used in this research. This research was conducted in Tempe production center located on Jalan Ampera Tasikmalaya City. Based on the result from financial analysis, it can be stated that the business is feasible. Based on the result on sharia marketing analysis, it is found that the business is operated accordingly to sharia principles. However, the interview section found some problems regarding the financial management and marketing strategy which needed to be resolutely improved. The research results are expected to be considered as evaluation issue for the improvement and development of Tempe industry in Tasikmalaya City and eventually give some contribution for the economic growth in Tasikmalaya City.

DAYA SAING INDUSTRI TAHU - TEMPE DI KELURAHAN KLEAK KECAMATAN MALALAYANG KOTA MANADO

This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of the "ABC" Tofu - Tempe industry and the "XYZ" Tofu - Tempe industry, Kleak Village, Malalayang District, Manado City, North Sulawesi. This research was conducted for three months from October to December 2018. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The sampling in this study was consumers from the Tahu-Tempe Industry in Kelak Village. This research uses accidentally sampling technique. Primary data collection is done by interviews using questionnaires. While secondary data was obtained from financial records from 2 Tofu - Tempe Industries in Kleak Village, skripsi from Faculty of Agriculture Library, Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat), books available at local bookstores and the Internet through Google Scholar to access articles from various scientific journals and thesis from various universities. This study uses the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) analysis. The results showed that the price offered by the Tofu Industry - Tempe "ABC" and Tahu - Tempe "XYZ" showed a different assessment, the industry "ABC" was considered very affordable and taste was satisfied but the quality was not satisfactory and the capacity and benefits were considered not too important. While the industry "XYZ" shows the price offered is not satisfactory from all aspects. In terms of good products for the Tofu Industry - Tempe "ABC" and Tahu - Tempe "XYZ" showed different levels of satisfaction where the "ABC" industry for consumers satisfies in terms of cleanliness and completeness but in terms of unsatisfactory cleanliness and the availability of raw materials is very unsatisfactory but for the display ofsatisfying products but considered not important for consumers, while the industry "XYZ" shows satisfying product taste but from the aspect of cleanliness, product availability and completeness in the presentation of products is very important for consumers but not satisfying while thephysical appearance of the product is less important or something expected by consumers. Then in terms of the place used by the Tofu - TempeIndustry "ABC" and the Tahu-Tempe Industry "XYZ" the level of cleanliness of the room that is still less clean, the comfort of the room that is still affordable from smoked tofu - Tempe and the noise of the engine, the physical appearance of the room is also not good and must be repairedfor the "ABC" industry, the "ABC" industry is less competitive with the industry "XYZ", while the availability of production equipment and verystrategic locations shows very satisfied and good because many tools are used and marketing locations very strategic close to boarding houses,restaurants and markets. In terms of services provided by Tahu - Tempe Industry workers "ABC" and Tahu -Tempe Industry "XYZ" both fromspeed, alertness, knowledge and friendliness have been very satisfying to consumers, only for the "ABC" industry the physical appearance ofthese workers is not good from dress and neatness that is shown to not satisfy the buyer but is very important for consumers, while for theindustry "XYZ" consumers value some already satisfactory from dress and neatness and some are unsatisfactory from dress and neatness and thisaspect is considered very important for consumers. *eprm*

Studi adsorpsi limbah organik industri tahu tempe dengan karbon aktif kayu merbau [Intsia bijuga (Colebr) O. Kuntze

Study on adsorption of tofu and tempe industrial organic waste with timber wood [Intsia bijuga (Colebr) O. Kuntze] as the active carbon has been executed. The objective the research is to determine the optimum required consentration of HCl to active the coal of timber wood, discover optimum adsorption capacity of timber charcoal to reduce the level of BOD5 dan COD in fluids waste of tofu and tempe industry. Research method of activating timber wood charcoal is physically by heating 700oC of temperature and chemically by submersion in HCl 1M, 2M and 3M. First, variation is made of contact duration of timber wood active carbon and fluid waste for 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. Then, volume of fluid waste is also differed by 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 ml per 0.5 gram of active carbon. Result of the research shows that optimum condition for adsorption of tofu and tempe industrial fluid waste are as follow : at consentrate of HCl 3M, contact duration 30 minutes, fluid waste volume 250 ml per 0.5 gram of active carbon, optimum adsorption capacity of timber wood active carbon is achieved which lowering the level of BOD5 and COD of Rizky tofu and tempe industrial fluid waste; each by 60,600 mg/g and 12,500 mg/g. On the state where volume of the waste is 100 ml per 0.5 gram, optimum adsorption capacity of the timber wood active carbon in reducing the BOD5 and COD level of Sukamaju tofu and tempe industrial fluid waste is 82,400 mg/g and 164,200 mg/g each.

Analysis Of Profits And Feasibility Of The Tempe Household Tempe Crafts Manufacturer In Lamper Tengah Village, Semarang Selatan District

A small industry has a strategic role in driving the economy. One of the potential small industries to be developed is the tempe industry. This study aims to analyze the benefits and feasibility tempe crafts manufacturer in Lamper Tengah Village, Semarang Selatan District which is the largest tempe industry area in Semarang City so that the results of the analysis can be taken into consideration to further develop their business. This research design uses quantitative methods. This research is a case study so business owners making tempeh in Semarang City is used as a source to obtain information needed in research. The data used are primary and secondary. Data collection techniques carried out by interview, observation, and recording. Data obtained analyzed using profit analysis π = TR-TC and to find out business feasibility using the formula R / C Ratio. The results of this study indicate that the average total cost incurred by tempe producers in Lamper Tengah Village per month is Rp 16,916,210.70. The average amount of tempe produced was 18,108 packs with an average price of Rp. 2,500, so that the average monthly income earned by tempe craftsmen is Rp 45,270,556 and the average profit gained is Rp 28,354,355. The business of making soybean tempe has an efficiency value of 2.68, meaning that every one rupiah the costs incurred will get an income of 2.68 times the cost incurred, then the tempe industry business in Lamper Tengah Village is feasible to continue and can even be invested in industrial development the tempe. Productive Liquid Fertilizer from Liquid Waste Tempe Industry as Revealed by Various EM4 Concentration

Recently, using of productive liquid fertilizer assumed as a proper and practical fertilizer for plant productivity purposes. Various ways of enrichment of liquid fertilizer were done to achieve certain quality. The purpose of this research was to determine the proper additional formulation in the process of making productive liquid fertilizer based on the various concentration of EM4 as well as comparated the result with SNI. Liquid tempe waste were collected from some tempe industries at Sidorejo Kidul village, Tingkir district, Salatiga. The concentration of EM4 which were added to the tempe wastewater are 0%; 0.20%; 0.40%; 0.60%; 0.80%; 1.00% respectively. The pH, temperature, C total, N total, C/N ratio, and PO43- were measured. Data was analyzed by using Randomize Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. Comparison between the average, the Honestly Significance Deference (HSD) 5% was used. The results showed that the addition of EM4 indicated there were a significant progress. Moreover, the most effective formula to increase the quality of productive liquid fertilizer from liquid waste tempe was found in addition of 1.00% EM4 with the gained analysis value for the C total, N total, C/N ratio, and degree of PO43- as follows : 4.395 ± 1.034%; 1.470 ± 0.081%; 3.01 ± 0.756; 685.28 ± 70.44 ppm . Associated with the need fulfillment of SNI hence can be concluded that result of Productive Liquid Fertilizer (PLF) from liquid waste tempe successfully fulfill SNI of liquid fertilizer for pH parameter and total N, only.

The Performance of Electricity Producing of Dual Chamber Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs) Using Wastewater of Tempe Industries

The performance of electricity producing of Dual Chamber Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs) using wastewater of tempe industries without glucose addition (as control substrate) and with (2% and 4%) glucose addition was observed. The anode chamber contained a waste substrate and a cathode chamber contained a 0.1 M Potassium Permanganate electrolyte solution. The salt bridge was required to stabilize the charge between the cathode and anode chambers, and the electrodes attached to the anode and cathode chambers as the electron catcher. Voltages and currents were measured using multimeter. Optical Density measured at 486 nm wavelengths was performed to estimate bacterial growth activity. All of the cells were observed for 72 hours of running time. The results of Optical Density curves showed an increasing trend of absorbance during 72 hours of running time. These were in agreement with the resulting power density, which tended to increase until the 48th hour and then relatively stable especially for the substrate with 4% glucose addition. These MFCs system could also reduce COD by 1.52%, 9.76%, and 9.64% on control substrate, 2% glucose addition substrate, and 4% glucose addition substrate, respectively.

Analisis Ekonomi Pengusaha Tempe dalam Menghadapi Kenaikan Harga Kedelai Impor di Kelurahan Semper, Jakarta Utara

Soybean is one of the important agriculture commodities in Indonesia after rice and corn. The increasing domestic soybean consumption exceed its production. To fulfill domestic needs, Indonesia import the soybean. One of the industries that have a dependent to the imported soybeans is Tempe production. The rising prices of imported soybean caused the increasing price of production factor and affecting the revenue of Tempe entrepreneur. DKI Jakarta is one of the provinces that have a large population of Tempe industries and use the imported soybean as a raw material of its production. One of the regions is Semper, North Jakarta. The result of estimation factors that influenced the Tempe production is the amount of soybeans (kg/production process). The total cost of Tempe production is increasing 19,80 percent and the cash cost is increasing 19,89 percent. The revenue of the cash cost and total cost is decreasing 53,62 percent and 54,04 percent. The amount of R/C ratio upon the total cost after the rising prices of soybean is 1,19. The activity of Tempe production is still giving revenue although there is rising prices of the soybean because the revenue is positive and the amount of R/C ratio is more than one.
