The Recent Progress China Has Made in Mining Method Transformation, Part I: Shrinkage Method Transformed into Backfilling Method

The shrinkage method is one of the earliest and most widely used mining methods in China’s underground mines, but shrinkage mining is often accompanied by a number of problems and safety hazards. With the continuous improvement of the filling process and filling material preparation and transportation technology, the application of trackless equipment such as drill jumbo and LHD (Load-Haul-Dump), and the continuous promulgation of mine safety and environmental protection policies, a large number of mines have transformed from the shrinkage method to the filling mining method. Suichang Gold Mine has improved its technical and economic indexes after transformation from the mine shrinkage method to the filling method. Its daily production capacity has increased from 30 t/d to 110 t/d, the dilution rate has decreased from 40% to 10%, the comprehensive recovery rate has increased from 95% to 98%, and the cost saving and revenue increase in the middle section of the test area of +180 m~+240 m has totaled 18,151,000 RMB.

Charge Generation and Enhancement of Key Components of Triboelectric Nanogenerators: A Review.

The past decade has witnessed remarkable progress in high-performance Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) with the design and synthesis of functional dielectric materials, the exploration of novel dynamic charge transport mechanisms, and the innovative design of architecture, making it one of the most crucial technologies for energy harvesting. High output charge density is fundamental for TENG to expand its application scope and accelerate industrialization; it depends on the dynamic equilibrium of charge generation, trapping, de-trapping, and migration within its core components. Here, this review classifies and summarizes innovative approaches to enhance the charge density of the charge generation, charge trapping, and charge collection layers. The milestone of high charge density TENG is reviewed based on material selection and innovative mechanisms. The state-of-the-art principles and techniques for generating high charge density and suppressing charge decay are discussed and highlighted in detail, and the distinct charge transport mechanisms, the technologies of advanced materials preparation, and the effective charge excitation strategy are emphatically introduced. Lastly, the bottleneck and future research priorities for boosting the output charge density are summarized. A summary of these cutting-edge developments intends to provide readers with a deep understanding of the future design of high-output TENG.

Implementation of reengineering technology in the technological preparation for general aviation airplane wing tip manufacturing based on the construction of a digital mock-up

The object of this study is the technological preparation of the production of a light aircraft wing using reverse engineering technology. The subject of research is a quality indicator – the geometric accuracy of manufacturing the convex-concave parts of aerospace technology. Calculations of geometric accuracy were performed for the program-instrumental method of co-ordination. As the experimental part it was taken the worn out wing tip of a light aircraft. The following results were obtained. An approach for specifying the aerodynamic airfoil and cross sections of the wing tip when constructing its digital model has been proposed. A 3D scanning of the wing tip with the formation of a digital portrait in STL format, as well as its refinement into a STEP format, using organic and mechanical methods, was accomplished. A digital mock-up of the wing tip was built taking into account the geometry of the aerodynamic airfoil in cross sections as well as a digital mock-up of the form (mould) for its manufacture according to the polygonal model, which was created by the organic method due to it had the highest dimensional accuracy. It was determined that the maximum deviation of the actual wing contour from the theoretical one was as follows: the upper deviation was 0.84 mm, the lower deviation was –0.65 mm. The maximum deviation of the actual wing contour from the theoretical one was ±0.3 mm. The expected (calculated) errors did not exceed the specified value of the tolerance on the wing outer contour that equal to ±1.0 mm, thus, the adopted method of assembling the wing under the conditions of co-ordination by the program-instrumental method ensured the specified geometric accuracy. The results of experimental studies confirmed the adequacy of the proposed approach for determining the aerodynamic airfoil of the cross-sections of the digital mock-up of convex-concave parts for aerospace technology during their technological preparation for production with the use of reverse engineering.

Evolution of microstructure and properties of CuCr50 alloy prepared by liquid phase sintering coupled with complementary copper infiltration

CuCr alloy has become the preferred contact material in the field of environmental protection vacuum switches because of its good mechanical and electrical properties, and the development of preparation technology of highly dense and homogeneous CuCr alloy has become one of its research directions. In this paper, the concepts of liquid phase sintering and complementary copper infiltration are coupled to prepare CuCr50 alloys, which are subjected to secondary treatment using solid solution as well as aging heat treatments, to observe the evolution of the microstructure and properties of CuCr50 alloys. It is found that CuCr50 alloy can be prepared stably by liquid phase sintering coupled with complementary copper infiltration. The average particle size of the Cr-rich phase in CuCr50 alloy is 48.9 μm after liquid phase sintering, solid solution treatment and aging treatment, and the uniformity of the distribution of the Cr-rich phase is improved compared with the billet and sintered state. At this time, the density of the CuCr50 alloy is 7.94 g·cm−3, the electrical conductivity is 22.77 MS·m−1, and the hardness reaches 113.2 HB. Compared with the requirements in the national standard GB/T 26867-2011, the density, conductivity, and hardness are increased by 0.51%, 42.3%, and 41.5%, respectively. The peak of the density of states at energies around −5 eV on the total density of states diagram is contributed by the superposition of the 3d orbitals of Cu and the 3d orbitals of Cr, which is a reason for the stable existence of the CuCr50 alloy.

Recent Updates on Diverse Nanoparticles and Nanostructures in Therapeutic and Diagnostic Applications with Special Focus on Smart Protein Nanoparticles: A Review.

Nanomedicine enables advanced therapeutics, diagnostics, and predictive analysis, enhancing treatment outcomes and patient care. The choices and development of high-quality organic nanoparticles with relatively lower toxicity are important for achieving advanced medical goals. Among organic molecules, proteins have been prospected as smart candidates to revolutionize nanomedicine due to their inherent fascinating features. The advent of protein nanoarchitectures, which explore the biomolecular corona, offers new insights into their efficient tissue penetration and therapeutic potential. This review examines various animal- and plant-based protein nanoparticles, highlighting their source, activity, products, and unique biomedical applications in regenerative medicine, targeted therapies, gene and drug delivery, antimicrobial activity, bioimaging, immunological adjuvants, etc. It provides an extensive discussion on recent applications of protein nanoparticles across diverse biomedical fields as well as the evolving landscape of other nanoproducts and nanodevices for sensitive medical procedures. Furthermore, this review introduces different preparation technologies of protein nanoparticles, emphasizing how their design and construction significantly influence loading capacity, stability, and targeting effects. Additionally, we delve into the construction of different user-friendly multifunctional modular bioarchitectures by the assembly of protein nanoparticles (PNPs), marking a significant breakthrough in therapies. This review also considers the challenges of synthetic nanomaterials and the emergence of natural alternatives, which provides insights into protein nanoparticle research.

Silage harvesting for small farms by using vacuum sealing in flexible polymer containers on a converted trailer

The article presents an analysis of milk production in Kazakhstan and identifies the reason for its low level, which is due to deficient feed, especially in small farms and in the private sector. The difficulty of saving the limited silage volume is due to the lack of preparation technology for preventing spoilage. The objective of this work is to complete the necessary equipment of a mobile tractor-trailer to reduce the specific energy consumption when preparing silage in flexible containers using a vacuum seal to increase the productivity of dairy cattle farming in smallholder and the private sector of the Republic. The basic rational parameters for sealing the silage by vacuum in the field on a mobile tractor-trailer for ease of transport and storage are obtained: silage weight in a flexible container – 769.6 kg, geometric dimensions of the sealed container by height (0.90 m), width (0.85 m) and length (0.85 m). The efficiency of the specific energy consumption of the proposed method for silage preparation is established at 35% compared with the traditional method. The recommended technology of silage preparation in flexible containers will be possible when conventional tractor-trailers are retrofitted with standard portable equipment (internal combustion engine-based (ICE) electric generator, vacuum pump, film welder).

Designing Semantic Tutoring Maps for Enhancing Peer Learning through Lesson Preparation

Advancements in Natural Language Processing technology present significant opportunities to enhance student learning through peer tutoring. While there is substantial research on the effectiveness of peer tutoring in learning science, few studies focus on the lesson preparation stage of peer tutoring. This study utilizes Semantic Web technologies to organize tutoring maps, aiming to develop an innovative learning artifact to address this research gap. Adopting a design-based research methodology, this study first provides a literature review regarding the application of semantic technology in education and peer tutoring preparation. Subsequently, a tutoring map application based on a semantic database is developed, encompassing the organization and storage of tutoring lesson plans using Resource Description Framework (RDF) technology, and the querying and feedback on lesson plan quality based on SPARQL Protocol and RDF Query Language (SPARQL) technology. This paper describes the theoretical basis and design rationale by which student tutors’ learning is improved through structured tutoring preparation. This includes enhancing cognitive and meta-cognitive abilities in designing learning activities, raising questions, anticipating answers, and providing guidance responses to incorrect answers. The paper concludes with recommendations for educational researchers and practitioners. Future research will focus on empirical studies of peer tutoring in scientific fields to verify the validity and adaptability of the design, further facilitating peer learning by tutoring and collective knowledge building.

Research Progress of Solid Scale Inhibitors Used in Oilfield

Solid scale inhibitor has the advantages of long operation time, low operating cost and simple operation, and has broad application prospects in oil field production at home and abroad. Process optimization of preparing CMOS backplane for ultrahigh pixel density red Micro-LED display

Abstract In this paper, an AlGaInP-based red Micro-LED display measured 17.78 mm (0.7 in), with a resolution of 1920 × 1080, a light-emitting mesa size of 6 μm, a pixel pitch of 8 μm and a pixel density of 3175 PPI was designed and fabricated with a CMOS driver backplane. The metal bump preparation technology of the complementary metal-oxide semiconductor driver backplane was optimized to enhance the bonding yield and create an optimal display effect. Improper sizing of the etched window in the SiO2 insulation and passivation layer can have a detrimental impact on the metal bump preparation and subsequent bonding process. By optimizing the settings of lithography and dry etching, the appropriate size of the etched aperture in the passivation layer was achieved. The high density, small size, and large aspect ratio of the photoresist openings for the bump fabrication made it challenging to remove the photoresist following the metal evaporation. To successfully remove the photoresist, it is important to carefully choose suitable experimental conditions for the removal. Afterwards, an 8 μm AlGaInP-based red Micro-LED display was effectively integrated with complementary metal-oxide semiconductor using flip-chip bonding technology. This work may be of reference value to those who work on ultrahigh density red Micro-LEDs that is challenging but crucial for future full color micro displays.

Polymer microsphere inks for semi-solid extrusion 3D printing at ambient conditions

Extrusion-based 3D printing methods have great potential for manufacturing of personalized polymer-based drug-releasing systems. However, traditional melt-based extrusion techniques are often unsuitable for processing thermally labile molecules. Consequently, methods that utilize the extrusion of semi-solid inks under mild conditions are frequently employed. The rheological properties of the semi-solid inks have a substantial impact on the 3D printability, making it necessary to evaluate and tailor these properties. Here, we report a novel semi-solid extrusion 3D printing method based on utilization of a Carbopol gel matrix containing various concentrations of polymeric microspheres. We also demonstrate the use of a solvent vapor-based post-processing method for enhancing the mechanical strength of the printed objects. As our approach enables room-temperature processing of polymers typically used in the pharmaceutical industry, it may also facilitate the broader application of 3D printing and microsphere technologies in preparation of personalized medicine.

The preparation technology and catalytic mechanism of PVDF/PVP/a-MoSx porous membrane for water flow driven piezoelectric PMS activation

Piezoelectric catalysis couples with peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation technology can efficiently increase the yield of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Herein, a novel flexible polyvinylidene difluoride/polyvinyl pyrrolidone/amorphous molybdenum sulfide (PVDF/PVP/a-MoSx) membrane with finger-like pore structure was prepared by non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS) method. As a result, a-MoSx nanosheets can be exposed out of the pores to provide multiple active sites. The PVDF/PVP/a-MoSx with large dipole moment can form enhanced polarization field under water flow to accelerate the charges separation and transfer, thereby promoting the breakage of the OO bond of PMS. The mechanism of piezo-photocatalytic activated PMS was confirmed by COMSOL multiphysics simulations, electrochemical experiments, contribution of active species and DFT calculations. Moreover, a self-cycling degradation reactor was proved more effective in generating piezoelectric potential and improving the degradation efficiency, supporting the practical potential of this strategy. This study provides a new platform to develop piezoelectric porous membrane for enhanced PMS activation under low density flow water energy.

PVA-based formulations as a design-technology platform for orally disintegrating film matrices

In the majority of pharmaceutical applications, polymers are employed extensively in a diverse range of pharmaceutical products, serving as indispensable components of contemporary solid oral dosage forms. A comprehensive understanding of the properties of polymers and selection the appropriate methods of characterization is essential for the design and development of novel drug delivery systems and manufacturing processes. Orally disintegrating film (ODF) formulations are considered to be a potential substitute to traditional oral dosage forms and an alternative method of drug administration for children and uncooperative adult patients, including those with swallowing difficulties. A multitude of pharmaceutical formulations with varying mechanical and biopharmaceutical properties have emerged from the modification of the original polymeric bulk. Here we propose different formulation approaches, i.e. solvent casting (SC), 3D printing (3DP), electrospinning (ES), and lyophilization (LP) that enabled us to adjust the disintegration time and the release profile of poorly water soluble haloperidol (HAL, BCS class II) from PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) based polymer films while maintaining similar hydrogel composition. In this study, the solubility of haloperidol in aqueous solution was improved by the addition of lactic acid. The prepared films were evaluated for their morphology (SEM, micro-CT), physicochemical and biopharmaceutical properties. TMDSC, TGA and PXRD were employed for extensive thermal and structural analysis of fabricated materials and their stability. These results allowed us to establish correlations between preparation technology, structural characteristics and properties of PVA films and to adapt the suitable manufacturing technique of the ODFs to achieve appropriate HAL dissolution behaviour.

The application of dietary fibre as microcapsule wall material in food processing

In the food industry, functional ingredients derived from active substances of natural sources and microbiological resources are gaining acceptance and demand due to their beneficial health properties. However, the inherent instability of these constituents poses a challenge in utilizing their functional properties. Microencapsulation with dietary fibre as wall material technology offers a promising solution, providing convenient manipulability and effective safeguarding of encapsulated substances. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the current state of research on dietary fibre-based microcapsules in food processing. It examines their functional attributes, the preparation technology, and their applications within the food industry. Furthermore, the constraints associated with industrial production are discussed, as well as potential future developments. This article offers researchers a reference point and a theoretical basis for the selection of innovative food ingredients, the high-value utilisation of dietary fibre, and the design of conservation strategies for functional substances in food production.

Research progress on improving ionic conductivity of NZSP solid electrolyte

Due to the limited resources of lithium batteries, and the safety of liquid electrolytes, and the working principle of sodium batteries and lithium batteries are similar, and the cost is relatively low, so the development of sodium ion solid state batteries has its feasibility and necessity. Among them, NASICON solid electrolyte with its unique three-dimensional structure, and good thermoelectric performance has been widely concerned, in order to better understand the development of such materials and the latest developments, this paper reviews the crystal structure of NZSP solid electrolyte, conductive mechanism, preparation methods of research progress. NZSP solid electrolyte with its room temperature asymmetric monoclinic phase and large grain boundary resistance, resulting in ionic conductivity is not enough to meet the application needs, on the basis of the above content, for the existence of NZSP ionic conductivity low problem, related discussions were carried out. The research progress of improving the ionic conductivity of NZSP based on preparation technology, grain control and grain boundary control is discussed. And in the end, the possible future development trend of NZSP material is summarized and prospected, which will play a certain reference and promotion role for the future research on NASICON solid electrolyte.

Bimolecular Salt Strategy Enhances Heteroatom Doping and Porosity Optimization of Porous Carbon for Supercapacitors.

The incompatibility between electrolyte ions and electrode pore sizes, coupled with the extensive use of activators and dopants, significantly restricts the fabrication of porous carbon materials. Consequently, developing environmentally sustainable and efficient methodologies that exploit the intrinsic properties and pretreatment of materials to facilitate self-activation and self-doping becomes crucial. In this study, potassium histidine and magnesium histidine molecular salts were synthesized as precursors, enabling specific ion activation and bimetallic template-directed tunable porosity through a one-step carbonization process. Notably, the ratio of bimolecular salts significantly influenced the porous structure of carbon, the properties of heteroatoms, and the electrochemical performance. By optimizing the ratio, the porous carbon materials exhibited high accessibility to electrolyte ions and effective ion/electron transport channels. Consequently, the optimal sample (NOSPC-2) achieved a high specific capacitance of 318 F g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 and a good capacitance retention rate of 98.8% after 50,000 cycles at 5 A g-1. In addition, NOSPC-2 also boasted high energy density and power density, reaching 22 Wh kg-1 and 25 kW kg-1, respectively. This research represents a significant stride in advancing preparation technologies for small molecule derived porous carbon materials, providing valuable insights for the rational design of carbon electrode materials for capacitive energy storage.

Technology of preparation and determination of the properties of kvas from table beet for use in bakery

In connection with the deterioration of the health of the population of Ukraine, the primary task should be to enrich the usual diet with products of functional purpose and to add natural biologically active additives that contribute to the removal of radionuclides, toxins, normalization of the body's systems and increased immunity. This work is devoted to the study of the process of beet processing and its further use in the bakery and confectionery industries. The refractometric method was used to determine the content of soluble solids. The content of trace elements was determined using the atomic adsorption method. When preparing kvass from table beets, additional raw materials were added: sprouted flax seeds, whey, yeast, viburnum powder, rye bread crackers. It was established that the variety of the Dutch selection Roket differs from the varieties Bordeaux 237 and Cylindra in terms of dry matter, organic acids, dyes and sugars. It is important to note that when improving kvass preparation technology, optimal fermentation conditions and dosing of additives are taken into account in order to maximize the shelf life of the product without losing its quality. In view of the increase in the number of genetic and complicated diseases, it is worth noting the introduction of specialized dietary programs, which are gaining more and more relevance. Such programs have been found to ensure food security and meet all essential nutrient needs. Considered the problem of the need for constant improvement of recipes of food products, study of new gluten-free alternatives and provision of access to high-quality gluten-free products. Studies have proven that the use of natural raw materials in the production of beet kvass is an effective means of improving its quality characteristics. Therefore, a promising direction in the production of flour products is the improvement of the recipe of the existing assortment due to the use of natural plant components of increased biological value. Kvass from table beet can be a source of natural biologically active substances (BAR). Table beets have a rich chemical composition. The nutritional value of beets is additionally balanced by the content of sugars and acids (citric and oxalic), the content of organic substances, minerals and vitamins. The production of bakery products using kvass from table beet as a natural food additive is relevant today.

Methodological aspects of developing motor skills in children of different ages during football club activities

The aim of the study is to examine methodological aspects of developing motor skills in children of different ages during football club activities. The article thoroughly explores training approaches for various age groups: preschool age (4-6 years), primary school age (7-10 years), middle school age (11-14 years), and adolescence (15-18 years). It is determined that each age group requires an individualized approach, taking into account anatomical and physiological characteristics and sensitive periods of children's development. The development of motor skills is achieved through various game exercises, comprehensive physical training, tactical preparation, and innovative technologies. The article also emphasizes the importance of psychological support and individualized training programs for older age groups.

Study on Preparation Technology and Quality Standard of Acne Granules

AbstractThe study aimed to optimize the preparation process of acne granules and establish their quality standards. In this work, the extraction process of Chinese herbal extract was optimized by the amount of water added, the number of decoction, the extraction time, and the soaking time with extraction yield as an evaluation index. The indexes of the acne granules such as molding rate, dissolvability, angle of repose, moisture content, and ease of preparation were evaluated. Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) was used to identify Salviae, Scutellaria baicalensis, and Indigowoad Leaf. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to determine the baicalin content in the granules. Based on orthogonal and single-factor experiments, the optimized extraction process of the prescription of nine medicinal materials was as follows: soaked in cold water for 2 hours, boiled three times, decocted with eight times the amount of water for 1.5 hours for the first time, and six times the amount of water for 1 hour for the second and third times. The combined extracts were concentrated to a relative density of 1.30 to 1.40 (20–30°C), and mixed evenly according to the mass ratio of extract to excipient 1:5, and dextrin: powdered sugar = 1:3. The mixture was granulated, dried, prepared into granules, and the acne granules were formed at a molding rate of 95.52% and a critical relative humidity of 82%. The spots in TLC were clear and easy to identify. The HPLC result showed that the content of baicalin was not less than 1.0 mg/g. The study provides a valuable reference for the production and preparation of the granules through optimization of the wet process and the excipient dosage. Furthermore, the established TLC method for the identification and the HPLC method for baicalin quantification laid the foundation for the quality control of the preparation in future studies.

Innovative design and experimental research on the world's first pilot plant for continuous supercritical hydrothermal synthesis nano copper

Supercritical hydrothermal synthesis (SCHS) is a promising nanomaterial preparation technology. We have successfully constructed the world's first continuous supercritical hydrothermal synthesis of nano copper pilot plant, with a yield of 100 kg/d and a grain size of nano copper products between 48–90 nm. In this work, the progressiveness of the supercritical hydrothermal synthesis pilot plant is systematically introduced, including rapid and uniform mixing, high Reynolds number, precise control of reaction time, avoidance of blockage and corrosion, and automation and safety control of the pilot plant. In addition, the synthesis mechanism and experimental results of supercritical hydrothermal synthesis of nano copper are further introduced. Finally, we analyze the economy of the pilot plant. The experimental research on the continuous hydrothermal synthesis of nano copper on a pilot scale may provide some guidance for future commercialization.
