Unveiling Digital Transformation and Teaching Prowess in English Education During COVID‐19 With Structural Equation Modelling

ABSTRACTThe present research looks at the reputation of digital platforms in online pedagogical English education in Pakistan, and the use of digital technology in virtual classrooms during public health emergencies. It explores how faculty members use digital technology in their pedagogical English teaching approaches by analysing their technological skill level. To achieve the study's objectives, an online survey was undertaken to gather primary data. University teachers delivering online courses during COVID‐19 in several cities throughout Punjab Province answered an online questionnaire survey. Smart‐PLS 3.3.9 and structural equation modelling (SEM) were used to investigate the recommended research framework. SEM analysis results showed that all proposed hypotheses were confirmed. This research presents an overview of faculty members' online pedagogical teaching abilities and digital technology during COVID‐19. The research findings are critical for determining how to incorporate technology during the pandemic period and to integrate technology into higher education during the new normal.

Effectiveness of Principal Supervision for Teacher Professional Competence

This study aims to determine the efforts used by school principals to improve eachers' professional competence, as well as the obstacles faced by school principals. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the school principal made efforts to improve the professional competence of teachers through academic supervision, providing training, workshops, and MGMP. However, there are still obstacles in the form of limited time and budget, as well as variations in teacher abilities. In conclusion, the active role of the school principal in carrying out supervision and coaching of teachers is very important to improve the professional competence of teachers.

Curriculum reform and practice of Experimental Acupuncture and Moxibustion under the background of "emerging medicine discipline"

Experimental Acupuncture and Moxibustion, as an interdisciplinary course, integrates traditional acupuncture and moxibustion with modern science. It is an important way for cultivating students' scientific thinking and innovation. The teaching group of Experimental Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Shandong university of TCM developed the content of courses under the guidance of talent construction of "emerging medicine discipline", aiming to cultivate the talents for the upright and innovation of acupuncture and moxibustion, and being abide to the advanced teaching concepts of students' cognitive law and outcome based education. Base on teaching design, teaching mode, curriculum ideological and political development, and teaching evaluation, a series of new measures have been implemented, e.g. "two-line, three-stage and eight-step measures", "six dimensions and five combinations" and "five combinations and three measure gauges". Through practice and exploration, the students' satisfaction, the innovation and creativity, and teaching ability of teachers have been enhanced. These reforms could provide the new approach to the development of the first-class courses related to traditional Chinese medicine.

Factors Affecting the Use of ICT by Teachers at Nan Yang Technician College, China

Background and Aims: Nowadays, the application of information and communication technology in education is becoming increasingly widespread, which poses new requirements for the ICT application ability of teachers. The aim of this study is to explore: (1) The ICT ability level of teachers at Nan Yang Technician College; and (2) Factors affecting the ICT ability of teachers at Nan Yang Technician College. Methodology: The data was collected from 185 Chinese teachers from a technician school engaged by using the questionnaires and analyzed by Mean, standard deviation, and one-way ANOVA. Results: Research has found that: (1) The overall ICT application ability of teachers at Nan Yang Technician College is at a good level (M=3.56). From the five dimensions, only the evaluation and diagnosis dimensions are at a poor level (M=2.68; SD=0.92). The Technician literacy dimension (M=3.86; SD=0.65) and the learning and development dimension scored the highest (M=3.87; SD=0.62), both reaching a good level. The dimensions of planning and preparation (M=3.19; SD=0.64) and organization and management (M=3.35; SD=0.98) are at a moderate level. (2) There are significant differences in ICT application abilities among teachers of different age groups. The overall level of young vocational school teachers is higher than that of older teachers, especially in terms of planning and preparation, as well as organization and management. There is no significant difference in ICT application ability among teachers of different genders, educational levels, and teaching majors. Conclusion: The overall score of ICT application ability of teachers at Nanyang Technician College is at a good level, but it is relatively low compared to teachers from similar schools. The evaluation and diagnosis dimensions are at a poor level. In terms of influencing factors, age has a significant impact on the teachers of Nanyang Technician College. The ICT application ability score of older teachers is significantly lower than that of younger teachers. The ICT application ability of older teachers needs to be paid attention to. Other factors such as gender, education level, and the courses taught have no significant impact on the ICT application ability of teachers. Based on the analysis of research results, this study suggests that unique ICT enhancement strategies should be developed for different age groups of teachers. The development of learning activities should be based on the analysis of the teacher's situation, such as strengthening the evaluation and diagnostic abilities of teachers.

Improving Teachers' Ability to Design Physical Education Learning Scenarios

This study aimed to: 1) Produce a draft lesson plan (RPP) in accordance with physical education learning. 2) Produce the design of physical education learning scenarios. The population in this study was elementary school Physical Education teachers in Ambon City, Central Maluku, and Tual City. The sample was determined by 1 Physical Education teacher from each district so that there were 4 teachers; 1 teacher from SD Negeri 65 Ambon, 1 teacher from SD Negeri 7 Masohi, 1 teacher from SD Negeri Sohoku, and 1 teacher from SD N Kolser Tual City. The area sampling technique was chosen based on the best representatives from each region. Data were collected using observation and documentation techniques. The assessment instrument for the preparation of Physical Education learning scenarios used the teacher professional education (PPG) assessment rubric. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of preliminary data analysis show that the first, second, third, and fourth respondents all have very poor abilities. This can be seen from the results of the assessment score obtained amounting to 125 out of a total score of 280, or it can be said that the ability was 45%. Meanwhile, the fourth respondent hads an ability of 40%. Thus, based on the assessment scores of the elements of the learning model indicator, it was known that there is no teacher's ability to plan a learning model that can be used to teach the subject matter based on the demands of the 2013 curriculum. This can be seen from the acquisition of the average assessment score at the achievement of number 1. The Effectivity of the PBL Model in Learning Outcomes Analyzing Variations Basketball Playing Skills for Class X SMAN 7 in Central Maluku Regency

This study aims to analyze the ability of Physical Education and Sports Health teachers using the Problem-based learning model to improve basketball playing skills of class X-IPA1 High School 7, Central Maluku. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research participants were Physical Education and Sports Health teachers at class X. The data collection techniques used were; (1) observation; uses innovative learning assessment format of 19 assessment indicators, (2) interviews, (3) documentation, and (4) triangulation. To analyze data, use the model qualitative analysis technique from Milles and Huberman. This research produces several points: (1) The average ability of subjects to utilize problem-based learning in Physical Education, Sports, and Health, especially the material analyzing variations in basketball playing skills, is 69,47%, so it is in the “Good” category. (2) Based on 19 innovative learning assessment indicators, the results were as follows: (a) The best category had 5% or only 1 indicator, (b) the “Good” category had 42% or 8 indicators, (c) the “Sufficient” category had 48% or 9 indicators, (d) “Poor” category of 5% or 1 indicator. Even though the subject’s ability is in the average category, there is 1 indicator in the “poor” category. In conclusion, (1) the research subjects were not optimal in implementing the problem-based learning model in learning Physical Education, Sports, and Health, especially the material analyzing variations in Basketball Playing Skills. (2) Subjects have not activated the ability to analyze variations in students’ skills in practical activities in the field. (3) Participants had not carried out assessments of learning processes. Project -Based Steam Learning Based on Sound of Green: Empowering Students Creative Thinking

This research aims to investigate the ability of teachers in designing sound of green-based PjBL STEAM learning to empower creative thinking skills and to determine the differences in creative thinking abilities in junior high school students. This study emphasizes the assessment of the effectiveness of project-based STEAM learning based on sound of green in empowering students' creative thinking in natural resource processing, involving 162 students in schools in music tourism attraction villages in Ambon city. The study reports that the respondents' results and creativity levels, including fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration among students, were excellent. Overall research results indicate that the majority of students are at a good level after being taught with the sound of green-based PjBL STEAM model. The increase in students' creativity with guidance and direction from teachers, especially in the technical, art, and mathematics stages in STEAM, is evident. Initially, many students lacked fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration dimensions in detail, resulting in an inability to generate more ideas and provide answers. Consequently, their originality decreased, and they lacked ideas to further elaborate on the given answers. However, findings from several meetings show a significant improvement among students. This is because implementing project-oriented learning models that empower the environment around students enhances every domain of creativity in science subjects. Additionally, the researcher suggests conducting further research on students' creative thinking processes based on the unique advantages of each school's geographical location. Teachers are expected to better understand students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities, improving students' creative thinking skills in every dimension of creativity according to the geographical conditions of the learners' environment. Factors Impacting Students’ Learning Performance in Higher Education in Chengdu, China

Background and Aim: The effectiveness of education has always been a focus of social attention. Previous research has mostly focused on the level of education in primary and secondary schools, and some studies have shown that college students may have different motivations and learning concepts. Therefore, this study aims to take Xihua University in Chengdu, China as an example to systematically examine various factors that affect the academic performance of university students. Through quantitative analysis, this study investigated the impact of five independent variables (learning attitude, learning anxiety, learning motivation, teacher ability, and student participation) on the dependent variable (academic performance), especially in higher education. Moreover, it aims to identify significant differences between variables. Methodology: Research Design, Data, and Methods: This study used the Project Objective Consistency Index (IOC) to test the validity of the questionnaire, and Cronbach's Alpha was used as reliability in the pilot study (n=30). They used the multiple linear regression method to analyze the effective responses of 80 students at Xihua University and verify the significant relationship between variables. Afterward, a group of 30 students underwent a 14-week planned study. Then, the quantitative results after and before the scheduled study were compared in paired sample t-tests. Results: In multiple linear regression, studies have shown that learning attitude, learning anxiety, learning motivation, teacher ability, and student participation have a significant impact on student academic performance. Finally, the comparison results of paired sample t-tests indicate substantial differences in student academic performance between the post-strategic and pre-strategic plan stages. Conclusion: This research endeavors to foster students' learning performance in the context of Chengdu, China.

Improving Children's Language and Literacy Through Snakes and Ladders Game

The rapid flow of globalization and modernization that has hit the Indonesian nation has made character education increasingly eroded. This can be proven by seeing the decreasing character of students regarding their use of language and impolite speech. Apart from that, students' interest in reading a text is decreasing, they may not even understand what they are reading. They are more interested in their respective cellphones which are only used for playing games, watching films, and even using social media. On the other hand, teachers' lack of language skills is a factor in slowing the transfer of knowledge to students. Therefore, the role of school teachers is needed to straighten students' characters and increase their interest in reading. The way to do this is through fun language and literature learning. So, the aim of this research is that the author wants to know how to improve student character and literacy through creative digital-based literary learning media. The method used in this service is class action through teachers. The result of achieving the target of this service is an increase in the teacher's ability to strengthen student character and student interest in reading.

Strategies of Effective Online Teaching and Learning in Vocational Computer Programming Education

Background and Aim: This research analyzes the existing issues with online teaching and learning in vocational computer programming education, devises strategies for online teaching and learning, and then implements and adjusts these strategies to confirm their effectiveness. The expected strategies for effective online teaching and learning proposed in this study include nine aspects: The study focuses on the following nine aspects: 1) the informatization teaching ability of teachers; 2) the autonomous learning ability of students; 3) the interaction between online teaching and learning; 4) the course content; 5) the teaching resource; 6) the teaching design; 7) the learning engagement; 8) school policy support; and 9) the online teaching and learning platform. Methodology: The sample consisted of 21 experts with qualified Delphi requirements from high vocational colleges in Guangxi, as well as 60 computer program students in their second year of study. Research instruments include an open-ended interview and Likert scale questionnaire, as well as data analysis using median, mode, interquartile range, percentage, and descriptive analysis. Results: The research results found that online teaching and learning in vocational computer programming education in aspects were at a medium-high level; after implementing and readjusting the strategies, the effectiveness of online classes was comparable to that of traditional classes. The research results summarized 80 strategies and suggestions for online teaching and learning in vocational computer programming education and put forward a discussion of the future development trend. Conclusion: The study's findings show that, with some strategic modifications, online instruction in vocational computer programming education achieved a medium-high effectiveness that was on par with traditional classroom settings. The study also offered eighty strategies and insights for the advancement of online education in this field in the future.

UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPAS MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MATERI WUJUD ZAT DAN PERUBAHANNYA

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the development of student learning outcomes, teacher and student activities, the teacher's ability to direct learning and student responses to the application of problem-based learning (PBL) in the learning process. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were class IV students of SD Negeri 02 Gejlig for the academic year 2022/2023, which consisted of 5 students. In this study, observation sheets, tests and questionnaires were used as data collection tools which were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that (1) the percentage of individual total perfection increased from Cycle I to Cycle II, namely 60% to 100%, as well as the percentage of total classical perfection increased from 50% to 100%. (2) The activity of teachers and students increases during the learning process. (3) the teacher's learning management skills increased from the adequate category to the good category. (4) Student responses were generally positive, with 100% of students saying they enjoyed learning using this constructive problem-based learning (PBL) model. From this study it can be concluded that the application of the Problem-based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve the science learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Bagi 01 regarding the material form of matter and its changes.

College Teachers’ Informatization-Based Teaching Ability and Performance

Teachers' informatization teaching ability is vital for integrating modern technology with educational practices, especially as technologies continue to evolve. These skills are critical for advancing the modernization of education and improving teaching quality, particularly in higher education. National policies in China, such as the "Education Informatization 2.0 Action Plan," highlight the importance of enhancing teachers' technological capabilities to meet the challenges of contemporary education. Focusing on the informatization teaching abilities of college teachers in Hunan Province, this research employed a descriptive quantitative method, gathering data from students and teachers at five universities. Significantly low to no correlation was shown between students' evaluations of teachers' technological proficiency and teachers' self-efficacy, though other factors, including in pedagogical strategies and digital resource integration, did not show significant relationships. Although college teachers have acquired basic informatization teaching skills, there remains room for improvement in areas like teaching implementation and evaluation. To address these gaps, targeted training programs, collaborative skill development initiatives, and up-to-date professional development aligned with technological advancements are recommended as strengthening these areas is essential for enhancing teachers' informatization capabilities and supporting the ongoing modernization of higher education in China.

Reflection on Cultivating Students Appreciation Ability in College Music Teaching

As an important part of college art education, music plays a very good role in cultivating students artistic sentiment and emotion. In college music teaching, in order to further improve students music level, it is necessary for teachers to focus on cultivating students appreciation ability, and stimulate students emotional resonance to the works through appreciation and analysis of various excellent music works, so as to strengthen students music literacy in a deep level. Therefore, this paper mainly explores the strategies of cultivating students appreciation ability in college music teaching, hoping to provide some reference for the majority of college music teachers.

Pre-service teachers’ technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK): their readiness for online instruction

ABSTRACT Rapid changes and greater complexities bring new difficulties and place new expectations on our educational system. Teacher education programs must adapt to these changes and train pre-service teachers in various learning modalities. This study determined the readiness of pre-service teachers to teach online based on their technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK) when they are grouped based on their profile. Through proportional random sampling, 400 third-year pre-service teachers were surveyed using comparative research. No significant difference in the readiness of pre-service teachers to online instruction based on their TPACK when grouped according to their sex and specialization. However, it was found that the respondents when grouped according to their specialization were different in terms of their Technological Knowledge and Technological Content Knowledge. This study suggests that as the era of technological changes emerged, the abilities of preservice teachers must be highly targeted to cope with dramatic changes in the educational landscape.

Strategi Penerapan Media Pembelajaran Sesuai Perspektif Kurikulum Merdeka di MAN Binjai Sumatera Utara

This research aims to explore: First, evaluate the level of understanding and ability of MAN Binjai teachers in implementing learning media that supports the principles of the Independent Curriculum. Second, knowing the strategies that can be implemented to optimize the use of learning media in accordance with the Independent Curriculum at MAN Binjai. Third, knowing the obstacles faced in implementing learning media at MAN Binjai, knowing the strategies that can be implemented to optimize the use of learning media in accordance with the Independent Curriculum at MAN Binjai. This research method is a qualitative type with a descriptive approach. The instruments used in this research were observation, interviews and documentation studies. The location of this research is MAN Binjai, North Sumatra. This research data analysis uses three steps, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The research results show that: First, the implementation of the independent curriculum at MAN Binjai includes the implementation of intracurricular learning, extracurricular learning, and the Pancasila Rahmatan Lil Al-Amin (P5RA) Student Profile Strengthening Project. This independent curriculum emphasizes freedom to think, innovate, learn independently and creatively, as well as the freedom to feel happy. Second, the planning strategy for using interactive digital learning media at MAN Binjai begins with intensive training for teachers to integrate technology in their teaching process. The use of digital media also helps students develop technological skills which are very important in the modern era. The research results show that the use of interactive digital learning media at MAN Binjai has increased student engagement, expanded access to learning, and developed their digital skills. Third, the obstacles faced by Technological Infrastructure: One of the main obstacles is the availability of adequate technological infrastructure. Training Limitations: Despite intensive training, there are still challenges in obtaining adequate training for all teachers. Teacher Readiness and Willingness: Not all teachers have the same readiness in adopting and integrating digital learning media. Insufficient Content: Sometimes, the availability of appropriate and quality content to support project-based learning can be a challenge. Time Limitations: Implementing interactive digital learning media requires additional time for preparation and development of learning content. Student Engagement: While digital learning media can increase student engagement, there are also challenges in ensuring that all students can access and use the technology effectively.

Flipping the Voice Pedagogy Frame: Background, Foundation, and Framework

Abstract: Most music degrees focus on developing successful performers in lieu of developing proficient voice teachers. While they may take one voice pedagogy course as part of their curriculum, most singers do not receive focused training in educational principles. This article presents (1) a foundation for designing learning objectives using Bloom’s revised taxonomy, (2) a rationale for using a flipped pedagogy model, and (3) case study examples for using these models within a voice pedagogy curriculum. This framework develops and refines both marketable voice teaching abilities and so-called “soft skills” for musicians enrolled in voice pedagogy courses.

예비유아교사의 그릿과 메타인지가 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of pre-service early childhood teachers' grit and metacognition on self-directed learning ability. The subjects of this study were 176 students who were majoring in early childhood education at 4-year universities in G Metropolitan City and N City. Data were collected through study tools of ‘grit', ‘metacognition' and ‘self-directed learning ability', and collected data were verified through frequency analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study were as follows. First, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the grit, metacognition, and self-directed learning ability of pre-service early childhood teachers'. Second, it was found that the metacognitive-control and grit of pre-service early childhood teachers had a significant effect on self-directed learning ability. Therefore, it was necessary to understand and level of metacognitive-control and grit in order to improve self-directed learning ability of pre-service early childhood teachers’.

SOCIALIZATION OF THE DANGERS AND EFFECTS OF DRUG AND PSYCHOTROPIC USE FOR THE PROGRESS OF THE NATION (STOP DRUGS)

<p><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong></p><p>The service team carried out a community service program because the juvenile drug problem was already very worrying. The community really hopes that schools can prevent the harm and spread of drugs. However, there are several problems faced by the partner school, SMPN 1 Kras, including: the teacher council lacks the capacity and understanding of drug problems and dangers; lack of training and media socialization and education about the dangers of drugs; and lack of media development and socialization and education facilities about the dangers of drugs in partner schools. Departing from these problems, the service team provides solutions through community service activities, namely: a) Providing education to adolescents about: Dangers of Drugs and How to Avoid Drugs through training and seminars on the dangers of drugs, b) Improving the ability of adolescents to develop media used for socialization of the dangers of drugs. This service activity will be carried out for three days through training and socialization methods or methods. The results of the activity are known that there is an increase in understanding of various types of drugs, the impact on adolescents, and how to prevent them, Increasing the ability of adolescents, BK teachers, and homeroom teachers in making socialization and education media on the dangers of drugs using or utilizing social media, Building synergy of cooperation between partners and the service team of the BK study program of SMPN 1 KRAS in preventing the dangers of drugs for students at SMPN 1 KRAS in particular and the revitalization of the existence and role of PIK R in SMPN 1 KRAS to educate teenagers about the dangers of drugs.</p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: <em>NAPZA; Socialization; Adolescent.</em></p>

Analysis of the ability of prospective biology teachers to develop teaching modules on the kampus mengajar program

Kampus Mengajar is a program intended for university students in Indonesia to establish partnerships with schools and prepare themselves as future professional educators. Student participation in the Kampus Mengajar program requires mastery of pedagogical competencies, one of which is the development of teaching modules as a learning design that will be implemented. The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of Biology Education students of FKIP UNTAN to develop teaching modules, specifically, students who participated in the Kampus Mengajar Batch 6 (KM6). This research is descriptive qualitative research conducted by observing the completeness of the components of the 14 teaching modules developed. Based on the analysis conducted, it is known that the average percentage of general information is 98.81% with a very good category, the main components are 97.62% with a very good category, and the appendices are 78.57% with a good category. Overall, the average of all components is 92.44%, so it can be concluded that the ability of Biology Education students at FKIP UNTAN to develop teaching modules can be categorized as very good. The results obtained show that there are still flaws in the 14 teaching modules analyzed. Students need to develop their pedagogical professionalism so that their knowledge and skills in developing teaching modules increase.

A Study on Teaching and Learning by Competition in New Business Studies in Sichuan Tibetan Areas

How to improve the level of students' professional knowledge integration is a systematic project, especially after the construction goal of the new business discipline is put forward, it is a very significant challenge to the teaching of the new business discipline. Based on the research background of the comprehensive and professional disciplinary competitions such as Internet+ innovation and entrepreneurship, and the participating student teams as the research object, this paper points out that there are problems such as insufficient cognition of the value of promoting learning by competition, insufficient new student sources for promoting learning by competition and insufficient digitization of the participating teams, etc., and puts forward the research plan of integrating the teaching concept of promoting learning by competition into the talent cultivation program, digitizing the teaching by competition under the cooperation between schools and enterprises, and improving the teaching ability of teachers by competition, with a view to improving the teaching ability of the new business discipline. The research program of enhancing teaching ability by competition for learning is proposed in order to realize the cultivation of students who can flexibly apply their knowledge of inter-disciplinary knowledge at the level of their majors.
