Developing Elementary Science Online Learning Content Using Schoology

The development of science and technology can make students interested in participating in the learning process so that it can increase student competence. The reality in the field is that there are still many teachers who have not used schoolology-based online learning because of a lack of information. Teachers are less creative in developing teaching materials that suit the characteristics of students. This research began when researchers discovered gaps in conditions in the field that teachers were still not using technology enough, so that learning was less varied. The aim of the research is to produce online learning content using Schoology in elementary school science learning that is practical, valid and effective to increase student competence. The research uses the ADDIE model which consists of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research produces online elementary science learning content using schoology. The results of the research show that based on the expert assessment of the material, language and media the learning content developed was declared valid, practical based on the responses of students and teachers, and effective in increasing students' competence.

Development of E-Learning Materials Assisted by Augmented Reality on Human Digestive System Material to Improve Elementary School Students' Learning Outcomes

This study aims to develop, test the feasibility, effectiveness, and practicality of Augmented Reality (AR)-assisted e-learning materials to improve student learning outcomes. This study is a Development Research (R&D) using the Borg and Gall model. This study involved 42 fifth grade students of Kedungmundu State Elementary School (SDN) in the 2024/2025 academic year, with a small-scale trial on 15 VA class students and a large-scale trial on 27 VB class students. Data collection techniques used test techniques (pretest - posttest) and non-test in the form of interview results, questionnaires, observations, score lists, and documentation. The results of validation by material, language, and media experts which showed that AR-assisted e-learning materials were declared "very feasible" with an average score of 89%. The practicality of e-teaching materials is shown from the results of the questionnaire responses of teachers and students to the use of e-teaching materials assisted by AR showing a "very positive" level of satisfaction, with a score of 97% from teachers and 86% from students. The effectiveness of e-teaching materials assisted by AR is proven through the results of the t-test with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and an N-gain of 0.67, which is included in the "moderate" category. The results of the study indicate that e-teaching materials assisted by AR meet the criteria of being feasible, practical, and effective in improving learning outcomes in class V science learning at SDN Kedungmundu.

Development of Natural Sciences Learning Media Based on Science Literacy on the Topic of Solar System in Elementary School

The lack of learning media that enables students to learn makes it challenging to understand the learning material. This research aims to describe the design process of solar system multimedia products and determine the validation results of solar system multimedia products according to the results of expert reviews and individual trials. This development research uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) method. Data collection uses a questionnaire method. The research results show that the learning media developed has a very feasible category, with the results of student responses being very feasible with an overall average percentage of 95% and the results of teacher responses getting a percentage of 89.3% with a very feasible category. This demonstrates how well-suited the learning resources created for the solar system are for use as classroom instruction. According to the research, learning materials could be a solution for creating science learning materials that improve and ease students' comprehension, particularly regarding solar system content.

Academic Entitlement and Expectations: Instructor Responses to Student Cell Phone Use in Class

ABSTRACT This study investigated how and why academic entitlement shifts the expectations of students about instructor responses to student cell phone use in class. Framed in variables from expectancy violation theory and communication competence, the experiment (N = 480) indicated that violation valence, violation importance, and violation expectedness were influenced by faculty responses (or lack of response) to off-task cell phone use. In addition, communication competence judgments were influenced by faculty responses to cell phone use. Academic entitlement was also negatively associated with violation importance and perceptions of faculty appropriateness. The most expected and appropriate response reported was faculty requesting that students put away their cell phones rather than assigning a point deduction or ignoring the off-task cell phone use.

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Audio Visual Berbantuan Aplikasi Geogebra Classic 5 3D Pada Materi Bangun Ruang Oleh Siswa Kelas V SDN 105380 Kramat Gajah Tahun Ajaran 2024

This project involves the development of audiovisual learning media using the Geogebra Classic program, which specifically focuses on building materials for Class V at SDN 105380. This study is based on the inadequate use of technology by educators, especially in the application of learning media for teaching mathematics. To improve the teaching of mathematics using building materials, audiovisual learning media using the Geogebra Classic 5 program was created to diversify math learning resources and increase student engagement in math classes. This study uses ADDIE paradigm. This Model represents analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study involved a cohort of 32 students from Class V SDN 105380. This research instrument uses questionnaires that include validation questionnaires for two experts, instructor effectiveness questionnaires, and student effectiveness questionnaires. The findings of this study indicate the creation of appropriate resources for the learning process, achieving an average value of 80% in the very feasible category according to the material validator, and a value of 88% in the very feasible category according to the media validator. The efficacy of Learning media resulted in scores of 93% for teacher responses and 87% for student responses, indicating that the criteria for Learning media are very successful. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the audio-visual learning media assisted by the geogebra application has been declared very feasible and effective.

Development Of Instagram-Based Microblog Learning Media On High School Buffer Solution Material

This research is included in Research and Development (R&D) research which aims to develop Instagram-based microblog learning media with buffer solution material that is valid, feasible and practical. This development research uses the Lee & Owens development model which consists of the analysis design, development, implementation and evaluation. This research was carried out at SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi with research subjects namely class, student and teacher response questionnaires. Data validation and distribution of questionnaires were carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, the learning media developed has been tested as highly valid by material expert validators with a validity percentage of 84.4% and media experts at 92%. Furthermore, learning media is also very practical for students to use with a practicality percentage of 91% and a practicality percentage from teachers of 89%. From the research results it can be concluded that the media developed is suitable for use in the chemistry learning process, especially buffer solution material.

Cognitive, Behavioral and Educational Outcomes in Children Aged 5-11 Years With Spina Bifida in Northern Ireland.

While improved medical and surgical care for children with pina bifida has improved their survival, some may have lower cognitive, behavioral and educational performance. The paper assesses the effect of spina bifida on cognitive, behavioral, and educational outcomes in 5-11 year olds. A cross-sectional study design was used where data were collected from parents/guardians and teachers using Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function, second edition (BRIEF2), Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), and Teacher Academic Attainment Scale (TAAS). Nineteen parental and 13 teacher responses were received for children with spina bifida, and 8 parental and seven teacher responses for children without Spina Bifida. Overall, the majority of the sample were female. Children in both groups performed at a similar level across subscales of BRIEF2 with the exception of Working Memory. No group differences were found in SDQ scales as assessed by parents; teacher assessment of conduct problems. Hyperactivity/inattention and peer problems were higher for children with spina bifida. Anticipated matched analysis was not possible due to unequal number of participants between the groups. Children with spina bifida performed similarly as peers without spina bifida in all subjects across the curriculum with the exception of English, Mathematics, and History. Based on this small sample, a potential need for evidence-based interventions to assist children with spina bifida in the cognitive area of working memory and also in English, Mathematics and History is postulated. Larger longitudinal studies are required to confirm these findings.

Pengembangan LKPD Berbasis Discovery Learning dalam Mata Pelajaran IPAS Materi Indonesiaku Kaya Raya Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 34 Pontianak Selatan

This study aims to produce a product of discovery learning-based student worksheets on the material of my rich Indonesia in grade V elementary school that is feasible. The research method used is research and development (R&D) by adapting the Thiagarajan 4D development model (define, design, development, and dissemination). The data source of this research is the validation result from one validator, and teacher response questionnaire. The data collection techniques were validation instruments and teacher response questionnaires. The results showed that during the research conducted using four stages of define, design, development and dissemination. The level of validity of the learner worksheet based on the results of didactic expert assessment with an average of 4.07 with the category “good”, construction 4 “good” and technical 4.5 “good”. Furthermore, the response from the teacher obtained an average of 4.91 in the “very good” category.

Development e-report character model for elementary school students to increase the effectiveness of assessment

The development of student character in integrated Islamic schools, which combine the Muslim personality-oriented Islamic Education Curriculum with the National Curriculum for behavioral assessment on report cards, is of paramount importance. This article focuses on the building of a practical and effective web-based character report card for elementary school children. This research utilized the 4 D methodology of Research & Development (R&D), including define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research findings on the development of e-report applications indicated a validity assessment by media professionals, yielding a score of 85.75%, categorizing it as highly practical. Evaluate the product's practicality with the t-test, which revealed that inputting values in the e-report application was more efficient than manual entry. The effectiveness is evidenced by the teacher's response, which garnered a positive evaluation with a score of 85.60%, categorizing it as very good. Utilizing web-based e-reports for processing assessments aids educators in effectively managing practical character behavior report scores for each assessment indicator description.

Development of Inquiry-Based Teaching Modules in Science and Technology Subjects Creative Economy Material for Phase C at UPT SD Negeri 192 Inpres Tamalalang

This research is development research (RD) which aims to produce educational products in the form of teaching modules for an independent curriculum that integrates inquiry-based learning. The aim of this research is to describe the profile of the teaching modules developed and produce teaching modules that are valid, practical and effective in learning. The development model used adapts the ADDIE development model with 5 stages. Research subjects included expert validators, science and science teachers as practitioners, and Phase C students at UPT SD Negeri 192 Inpres Tamalalang. The research results show that the validity value obtained from the validator is 4.82 in the very valid category. The practicality of the teaching module based on teacher responses obtained a percentage of 89.67%, which means it is Very Practical and student responses obtained a percentage of 91.11%, which means it is Very Practical. Based on the analysis of learning outcomes using the T test, a significance value (2-tailed) α (0.05) was obtained, which means that there was a real increase in learning outcomes before and after learning using the teaching module developed with an increase in the average student score of 33. 76%. So it can be concluded that the integrated teaching module of the Inquiry learning model developed is valid, practical and effective for use in learning science and science creative economics material in Phase C UPT SD Negeri 192 Tamalalang.

Development of PjBL-based e-worksheets utilizing the kombucha bioprocess in high school biology learning

Worksheets are still often made in the format of questions that are done individually. Kombucha, when viewed from the characteristics of the manufacturing process, have the potential to be innovations in conventional biology technology innovation learning. This study aimed to assess the feasibility and practicality of using project-based learning electronic worksheets with kombucha bioprocess for teaching biology. The research method employed was development research using the ADDIE model, focusing on the analysis, design, and development stages. The study involved one material expert, one media expert, two biology teachers, and 33 students. Data was collected using interviews and questionnaires. The electronic worksheet was evaluated by media and material expert lecturers for feasibility and by teachers and students for practicality The results indicated that this worksheet is both feasible and practical for biology learning activities with a material validity level of 72.6% (feasible), media validity of 98% (very feasible), biology teacher response 92% (very practical) and student response 85% (very practical). The findings of this study are expected to be an inspiration for educators in compiling media for learning activities, becoming the latest and most interesting learning content innovations in project creation.

DEVELOPMENT OF AUGMENTED REALITY-BASED MATHEMATICS LEARNING MEDIA TO FACILITATE STUDENTS' MATHEMATICAL COMPUTATIONAL THINKING SKILLS

The development of digital technology has positively impacted the world of education, especially in creating more interactive and innovative learning media. The integration of Augmented Reality (AR) in learning is one of the innovations that can provide new learning experiences for students by presenting visualizations of abstract concepts in real life. This research aims to develop AR-based mathematics learning media to facilitate students' mathematical computational thinking skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects involved 16 Insan Cendekia Sheikh Yusuf Gowa High School students. The research instruments used included product validation sheets, learner and teacher response questionnaires, and mathematical computational thinking ability tests. Analysis of research data focused on analyzing the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Augmented Reality-based mathematics learning media. The results showed that the Augmented Reality-based mathematics learning media developed had met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Development of Learning Media Digital Pop-Up Book Based Interactive Powerpoint Material Hearing Material Grade Five Elementary School

The creation of pop-up book learning materials based on PowerPoint can improve learning results and student interest. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility pop-up book learning materials based on PowerPoint and its effect on students' listening comprehension on sound-based material. This research is a development research (R&D) using the ADDIE model development design, which consists of five stages namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the effectiveness of PowerPoint-based pop-up book was 97% based on the average validation of media experts, 95% based on the validation of teaching material experts, 95% based on the results of the classroom teacher response questionnaire and 95% based on the results of the student response questionnaire. Pop-up books with a PowerPoint foundation fall under the category of educational resources that are useful for learning. The N-gain test results also show that the learning media developed by researchers are in the very feasible category. In other words, it can be concluded that PowerPoint-based pop-up book learning media is effective, practical and efficient in improving student learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Practicality of Calligraphy Learning Model

This paper presents the practicality of the calligraphy learning model based on imlaiyyah rules. Imlaiyyah rules need to be mastered by calligraphers, as a means of control so that there are no writing errors in writing verses of the Qur'an. The verses of the Qur'an must be written beautifully visually and grammatically correctly so that every eye that reads it feels comfortable and there are no mistakes in meaning and interpretation. The research method used is the Research & Development (R&D) method. Teachers who teach calligraphy must also find it easy and practical to convey the calligraphy material to be presented. Do not feel burdened, happy to teach it, and can achieve learning targets as desired. The results of this study can be seen from the results of the instructor's response, including the range of very positive qualifications with very practical criteria.

Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Administrasi Bimbingan dan Konseling Berbasis Website Di Smpit Darul Fikri Makassar

This research developed a media information system for guidance and counseling administration at SMPIT Darul Fikri Makassar. The purpose of this study was to determine; (1) Description of the needs of web-based guidance and counseling information systems at SMPIT Darul Fikri Makassar, (2) Prototype of web-based guidance and counseling information systems at SMPIT Darul Fikri Makassar, (3) Validity of web-based guidance and counseling information systems at SMPIT Darul Fikri Makassar, (4) Practicality of web-based guidance and counseling administration applications at SMPIT Darul Fikri Makassar. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. The results showed that the website-based guidance and counseling administration information system media and guidebook developed were valid and practical for use in managing guidance and counseling data at SMPIT Darul Fikri Makassar, the validity and practicality of two experts in the initial product trial showed a good response with a high score and the results of the responses of counseling teachers and other users in the small group trial illustrated a positive response with high results. This shows that this guidance and counseling administration information system media is accepted and can be used as an administrative media for counseling teachers.

Monikielisyyden ja yhdenvertaisen osallistumisen tukeminen varhaisessa englannin opetuksessa opettajien kokemana

One of the aims of early language learning is to guarantee equal access to language learning for all children and to develop their plurilingualism. Studies on multilingual practices in early foreign language learning and teaching are, however, scarce. This study fills this gap by examining Finnish teachers’ experiences of the possibilities and obstacles for the development of pupils’ plurilingual repertoire and equal participation in the teaching of English starting in the first grade. The data comprised 550 teacher responses to a questionnaire on the practices of early language learning. Qualitative thematic analysis of the data revealed that teachers saw as supportive factors positive attitude towards language learning, children’s courage to interaction, development of linguistic and cultural awareness, teacher’s bilingual practices, and peer support. Problems in the skills of one’s first language and the school language and in teaching arrangements were seen as challenges.

Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Guru Pada Mata Pelajaran Akhlak Kelas IV di Madrasah Diniyyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah Masjid Agung Ashliyah

Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah was one of the non-formal education in Indonesia, however there are several problems in learning at MDTA such as those found in moral learning at MDTA Masjid Agung Ashliyah Padang Panjang, namely teacher textbooks in teaching have not met learning objectives because the material is still limited and incomplete, the books provided by the madrasah are also still limited and teachers have not used teaching tools in the form of lesson implementation plans (RPP) in the learning process, so that the learning process is less effective and efficient. This study aims to produce a product in the form of teacher teaching materials as a guide for teachers in teaching. This study is entitled "Development of Teacher Teaching Materials for the Subject of Morals for Class IV at MDTA Masjid Agung Ashliyah Padang Panjang". This type of research was Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model, namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate, but this research only goes as far as Develop. This research was conducted at MDTA Masjid Agung Ashliyah Padang Panjang from May 10 to August 5, 2024. This study focuses on research on the development of teacher teaching materials for the subject of morals for class IV MDTA on the material "Morals are Easy for Fellow Humans". After the development of the teacher teaching materials, a feasibility test was carried out by curriculum experts and media experts. The results of the curriculum feasibility test were 86% with very feasible criteria, while the results of the media feasibility test were 84% with very feasible criteria, while the response of the morals subject teacher to the development of this teacher teaching material was 89.4% with a statement of very feasible. So it can be concluded that the development of teacher teaching materials for the subject of morals is very feasible to use.

The Greenhouse Effect: Using Student-Generated Agricultural Data to Warm Up Students for Data-Based Decision Making

ABSTRACT This article describes a collaborative project across multiple institutions to compare two versions of a regression activity: 1) a website version that collected student data through an online simulation with corresponding apps for visualization and 2) a traditional paper handout version that had a static dataset. This allowed us to evaluate the differences in student learning and attitudes when students have a stronger connection with the data through an interactive—and hopefully fun—data-collection process than they do when they are given a worksheet with a pre-collected dataset. While student and instructor responses indicated they liked the activity in both formats, the PreTest and PostTest results showed evidence of a higher gain in knowledge with the website version. Finally, we discuss how the website version connects with pedagogical strategies for the development of modern statistics and data science courses.

Motivation to Become a Teacher: Emerging Trends From a Study of Preservice Teacher Education

This article explores the question, ‘what motivates the choice of teaching as a profession?’ Availability of adequate teachers, professionally qualified in institutions of higher education to meet the curricular and structural challenges of school education, is a critical policy concern. This article is based on a study of 54 student-teachers enrolled in a teacher education programme at a multi-disciplinary university. Student–teacher responses to a survey reveal that teaching was the first choice for almost three-fourths of the participants. Based on a three-fold categorisation of motivation as intrinsic, altruistic and extrinsic, participants are found to be strongly motivated in intrinsic and altruistic terms, further influenced by four demographic factors namely, gender, social category, type of school attended and discipline at the level of graduation. Extrinsic motivation is found to be related to social category and medium of instruction at the graduation level. Participants from marginalised backgrounds demonstrate stronger intrinsic and altruistic motivation compared to those belonging to general categories. They exhibit high levels of extrinsic motivation as well. These results are examined in the broader structural context of teacher education; implications for research, policy and practice are discussed.

DEVELOPMENT OF WEB-BASED E-STUDENT WORKSHEET USING WIZER.ME ON THE TOPIC OF HYDROCARBON COMPOUND COMBUSTION IMPACT AT GRADE XI

The Development of Web-Based E-Student Worksheet Using Wizer.me on the Topic of Hydrocarbon Compound Combustion Impact at grade XI. The combustion of hydrocarbon compounds is a critical topic in environmental chemistry that students must thoroughly comprehend. This research aims to analyze the feasibility of the developed E- Student Worksheet and describe the responses of teachers and students to the E- Student Worksheet on the topic of hydrocarbon compound combustion impact. The research method applied is research and development (RD) following the 4-D model, which includes defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The study was conducted at Senior High School 1 Ingin Jaya, involving 20 students from grade XI IPA 2 as the research subjects. The research instruments consisted of a needs analysis sheet, E- Student Worksheet feasibility sheet by validators, teacher response sheet, student response sheet, and System Usability Scale (SUS) sheet. Validator evaluation indicated a feasibility of 95% with a "highly feasible" category. The results of the teacher response evaluation to the E- Student Worksheet showed an excellent response of 91%, similarly, the students showed an excellent response of 91.13%, and the System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation scored 82.50, indicating a "good" category. Thus, it can be concluded that the web-based E- Student Worksheet using Wizer.me on the topic of hydrocarbon compound combustion impact is considered feasible to be used as an interactive teaching material with the utilization of IT in learning.
