Active Learning Strategies in English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges

With the continuous development of modern society, the demand for international communication is increasing day by day, which also puts forward the demand for modern talents. Master and be able to communicate with English, has become one of the directions of talent training in various universities, and the importance of English subjects in higher vocational colleges is gradually increasing. The use of active learning strategies in higher vocational colleges to carry out teaching activities can mobilize students’ learning initiative, create a better learning experience, improve their oral English expression ability, and develop their critical thinking. This literature review mainly combines an analysis of the current situation of English teaching in domestic higher vocational colleges, presents the use of active learning strategies in the teaching and learning process in order to provide some support for the healthy application of English teaching activities in higher vocational colleges.

Innovative Development of Civic and Political Education in Higher Vocational Colleges and Universities in the Context of Multiculturalism

Abstract Multicultural integration brings opportunities and challenges to the field of education, and the innovation of Civics education in higher vocational colleges and universities becomes increasingly essential. In this paper, the reinforcement learning algorithm is used to construct a Civics teaching mode with precise teaching intervention, which quantifies students’ learning ability and learning status by combining the Civics learning ability level parameter. The difficulty coefficient of Civics exercises determines the students’ mastery of Civics content. Based on the students’ Civics learning ability and learning status, a precise teaching intervention strategy was formulated, and the teaching intervention was used in practice to explore the effectiveness of the accurate intervention Civics teaching model in terms of the change of students’ ability and performance. The results show that under the Precision Intervention Civics Teaching Model, students with low collaborative learning and high problem-solving ability changed from unidirectional PR→RS to bidirectional PA↔PR, indicating that the Precision Intervention Teaching Model can improve students’ learning ability. The passing rate of students under this model were maintained at 70%, the average score was above 70, and the students’ performance in Civics was significantly improved compared with the traditional teaching model.

Construction and Practical Application of Precision Evaluation System for Labor Education Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges and Universities

Abstract This paper builds a precise evaluation system for labor education teaching, and uses the Delphi method to test and eliminate the rationality of the indicators of the evaluation system to ensure the rationality of the evaluation system. The hierarchical analysis method is used to establish the hierarchical structure matrix of each index in the evaluation system and to calculate the weight value of each index in the evaluation system. Then, verify the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation set according to the weight value, calculate the value of each index system in the evaluation set, and calculate the comprehensive evaluation results using the weighted average type-bounded operator. The analysis of the precision evaluation of labor education teaching in Higher Vocational College A using this evaluation system reveals that the score of precision evaluation for labor education teaching in this school is low. Teachers lack precise guidance in teaching, and the average evaluation score of the indicator “quality of labor education for A32 students” is only 2.52 points. After implementing this evaluation system in labor education teaching, students’ performance in labor education has significantly changed. The average score of the experimental class is 27.13 points higher than that of the control class, with a significant difference (P=0.003<0.05). The evaluation system in this paper provides a reference for the evaluation of precise teaching of labor education in higher vocational colleges. It lays a foundation for improving the teaching quality of labor education.

Research on the Teacher Team Construction of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Higher Vocational Colleges and Universities under the Background of “Double Creation” Upgrading

Abstract With the promotion of “dual-creation” education, higher vocational colleges and universities face the challenge of building faculty. This study explores the strategies for making the faculty of innovation and entrepreneurship education in the context of “dual-creation”. The study adopts the evaluation model based on Backpropagation neural network. It proposes targeted construction strategies by analyzing the teaching process, teacher conditions and teaching effect of innovation and entrepreneurship courses. The results show that by optimizing the construction path of the faculty team, the teaching effect of innovation and entrepreneurship courses is significantly improved, the proportion of students participating in entrepreneurial practice has increased by 40%, and the number of declared innovation patents has increased by 47.6%. In addition, the percentage of rejuvenation of the teacher team grew by 10%, and the professional ability of teachers was significantly improved. Artificial intelligence technology such as neural network optimizes the path of teacher team construction for innovation and entrepreneurship education in higher vocational colleges and universities, which can effectively improve the quality of teaching and the professional ability of the teacher team.

Research on the Application Strategy of 5G+ Virtual Reality Immersive Teaching to Empower Higher Vocational English Classroom

English teaching in higher vocational colleges often lacks the real context of language use, which can not meet the needs of a lot of repeated training. 5G+ virtual simulation can effectively solve the dilemma of English teaching in higher vocational colleges. This paper is based on the experience of virtual simulation technology integration in English classes in higher vocational colleges, which plays an important role in training students’ vocational skills and promoting employment.

Exploring the Strategies of Civic Education in Higher Vocational Colleges and Universities Based on Deep Learning

Abstract Deep learning significantly enhances Civic and Political Education in higher vocational colleges and universities by facilitating a nuanced understanding of students’ cognition of learning content, engagement in the learning process, and perceptions of the educational environment. This study involved collecting behavioral data from students in Civic and Political Education classes and applying the YOLOv5s algorithm—an advancement in deep learning networks—to extract and detect student behavioral features. Additionally, the enhanced ShuffleNetV2 algorithm was employed to classify and identify these features. Based on these methodologies, a student behavior recognition system was developed for Civics classrooms, and its practical application was evaluated. The findings indicate that the implementation of this recognition system resulted in increased classroom activity and engagement, with 70% of the participants demonstrating hand-raising and speaking behaviors. There was a statistically significant enhancement in students’ Civic learning behaviors following the system’s application in teaching (P<0.05). This study underscores the potential of digital intelligence technology to foster precise and intelligent educational practices in Civics education.

Construction and Reform of the Russian Audiovisual Speaking Course in Higher Vocational Institutions in the Context of Deep Learning

Abstract This paper focuses on the development and construction of language teaching in higher vocational colleges and universities under the perspective of deep learning, proposes the use of multimedia courseware to update the course content, interactive teaching to optimize knowledge transfer and skills training, and the creation of an interactive training environment for the Russian language. Analyze the language learning environment of higher vocational colleges under deep learning, clarify the direction of Russian language teaching, use wavelet transform algorithm to compress and process Russian language teaching resources, and enrich the teaching construction. Classify language classroom teaching interaction behaviors, clarify the criteria for judging teaching interaction behaviors, put forward connection timing classification technology under deep learning, and construct classroom interaction behavior recognition based on speech recognition. Combining video samples to analyze the classroom interactive behaviors of Russian language teaching, analyzing the use of Russian digital teaching resources, and evaluating the advantages of the reform of the Russian Audiovisual Speaking course in the light of students’ satisfaction with the reform of the course. In the interactive Russian language classroom teaching, the proportion of teacher’s and student’s speech is 24.24% and 30.205%, respectively. The proportion of open-ended questions and closed questions is 4.68% and 3.67%, respectively, and 83.62% of the students are satisfied with the classroom teaching of Russian Audiovisual and Speaking, so it can be seen that the construction and reform of the Russian language course forms a classroom that takes the students as the main body and the teacher as the auxiliary teaching This shows that the construction and reform of the Russian language course forms a classroom with students as the main body and teachers as the auxiliary teaching, which is in line with the needs of Russian language teaching.

Abstract Multimedia in modern educational technology has the advantages of being infectious and easy to stimulate students’ interest, which can change students’ perception of things and enhance their mental health awareness when carrying out mental health education in higher vocational schools after analysing the advantages of the application of modern educational technology in mental health education. Taking the visual characteristics of multimedia learning screen as an entry point, we explore the internal logic and law of its influence on students’ learning emotions, hoping to use the learning screen carrying emotional value as an intermediate medium. Subsequently, a CNN-based emotion recognition model is constructed to analyse learners’ expressions, visual emotion preferences and the emotions of the learning screen, and adaptively adjust the key visual features of the learning screen so as to regulate the learners’ learning emotions, stimulate the learners’ interest in learning, and guide the learners’ emotional state. Based on this, a method of using intelligent multimedia technology to promote students’ mental health education is proposed. Combined with the results of teaching experiments, it can be seen that this paper’s innovative mental health education method has improved students’ positive academic emotions significantly, negative academic emotions improved to a certain extent, and the level of mental health has been further improved.

Research on the Integration Path and Practice of AI Intelligent Technology and English Teaching Reform in Higher Vocational Colleges and Universities

Abstract The application of artificial intelligence technology in language learning, especially English teaching, is subverting the traditional learning mode. This paper discusses in depth the innovative strategies of English practical teaching in higher vocational colleges. It introduces an AI-assisted teaching system that synthesizes the reasoning mechanism, the student independent learning system and the mathematical model of knowledge forgetting. Through practical application, this study verifies the effectiveness of the system. The results showed that the grades of all students who used the AI system and had an average score of more than 60 did not decrease. There was a significant linear relationship between students’ engagement and grade improvement, indicating that the more serious the students were, the more influential the grade improvement was. In addition, there is a positive correlation between exam difficulty, passing rate and the number of high scores, and a negative correlation with the number of scores below 60, which verifies the reasonableness of the correlation coefficient. Students’ foreign language learning pleasure, burnout and self-efficacy have significant mean differences between the two classes, with p-values less than 0.05, indicating substantial differences. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the AI-assisted teaching system and provide valuable references for future teaching models.

Data-driven coordination of theoretical and practical education in higher education institutions

Abstract It is an indisputable fact that there exists a non-integrated phenomenon between educational theory and practice, and educational theory and practice have the correlation of both interdependence and mutual deviation, so how to make the two coordinate and harmonize the development of the two has become a hotspot of the current research. In this paper, under the perspective of evidence-based education, we explore the coordinated development of the two, construct the coordinated index system of theoretical and practical education, and utilize the entropy weighting method to assign weights to the index system. Subsequently, taking School A as an example, the data-driven web crawler technology was utilized to obtain the relevant data, and the internal coordination level and future development trend of its theoretical and practical education were measured by the linear weighting method, the coupled coordination degree model, and the GM(1,1) model, respectively. The results show that the coupling coordination degree of its theoretical and practical education increases from 0.1489 in 2013 to 0.5609 in 2022, and although it maintains an upward posture, the overall values are lower than 0.6, and the coupling coordination level is low. In addition, the level of theory and practice education coordination is showing a continuous upward trend, with an average growth rate of 15.19%, but has shown a slowing trend. The coordinated and healthy development of theory and practice education in higher vocational colleges and universities can be realized from three aspects: enriching the form of theory and practice education activities, strengthening the atmosphere of theory and practice education, and school-enterprise cooperation.

A Study on the Enhancement of Higher Vocational Students’ English Writing Ability by the Principle of Teacher-Student Collaborative Assessment in the Production-Oriented Approach

Abstract This paper introduces the basic content and characteristics of the production-oriented method and teacher-student collaborative assessment, shows the complete process of teacher-student collaborative assessment, and presents the overall evaluation design and implementation of teaching. Applying its theory to English writing teaching, it analyzes the English writing test paper, English writing learning interest questionnaire, and scale before and after the experiment. After analyzing, it can be seen that the signature. The value in terms of total score pre-test scores between Group X and Group Y is 0.54. The Sig. values in terms of vocabulary, structure, and total scores in the post-test between group X and group Y are 0.003, 0.004, and 0.002, respectively, which is a significant difference. In the comparison of the pre-test and post-test scores of group X, the post-test scores were significantly higher than those of the pre-test scores (Sig<0.05). Therefore, the teacher-student collaborative assessment method centered on the production-oriented method is effective to be used in English teaching in higher vocational colleges and universities, which provides new research insights for improving and upgrading English writing teaching.
