Aplikasi Bimbingan Konseling Menggunakan CodeIgniter (CI)

At Padas 1 Public Junior High School, student violations were recorded by picket officers and Counseling Guidance teachers. The recording was carried out by the officer by writing it on a piece of paper form. Based on these problems, a guidance and counseling application was created using the codeigniter framework at SMPN 1 Padas based on a website. This system was created and developed using the waterfall method and the testing method using blackbox testing. The system created can add data, manage violation data, add attendance data and several other features. It is hoped that the system that has been created can help counseling teachers manage student counseling to be more efficient and effective, as well as make it easier for parents to supervise their children. The results of system testing using black box testing of the counseling guidance application system are made to get a success percentage of 100%.

Junior High School or mostly called SMP, is often referred to as a transitional period. During this time, students often face challenges and difficulties that require guidance and counseling services to help them navigate this crucial stage. However, limited access to guidance and counseling services prevents students from receiving optimal support. This can lead to various problems, including unaddressed student issues, declining academic performance, and impaired mental health. Therefore, strategic steps are needed to strengthen guidance and counseling services in SMP.This study employs a qualitative library research method. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that guidance and counseling in SMP need to be strengthened to ensure optimal delivery of services. The following are strategic steps for strengthening guidance and counseling services in SMP: (1) Increasing the number of guidance and counseling teachers. (2)Enhancing the professionalism of guidance and counseling teachers. (3)Developing infrastructure and resources. (4)Implementing a comprehensive and systematic guidance and counseling program. (5)Establishing collaboration with internal and external stakeholders of the school. It is expected that by strengthening these services, guidance and counseling can be effectively delivered, creating a conducive learning environment, and supporting holistic student development.

Attitudes of Teachers towards Individuals with Mental Health Problems and Affecting Factors

Aim: Teachers are in a good position to provide first aid to students with mental health problems. The aim of the study is to determine the attitudes of teachers towards individuals with mental health problems and the factors affecting them. Materials-methods: The research, which is a cross-sectional descriptive study, was conducted with teachers reached online via social media. Sociodemographic information form, Hospital Anxiety-Depression Scale and Community Attitudes towards the Mentally Illness Scale were applied to the teachers via Google forms. The data were evaluated with the SPSS 20 statistical program. A p value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: In this study, 477 teachers were participated. Psychological Counseling and Guidance (PCG) teachers' “mental health ideology” (19.24±3.99) and “goodwill” scores (18.07±3.16) were found to be lower than the scores of preschool and classroom teachers (p=0.001; p=0.014). The goodwill score of male teachers (20.27±3.66) was found to be higher than which of female teachers (19.38±3.19). The risk of anxiety was found in 17.00% of the teachers participating in the study and the risk of depression was in 27.62%. The goodwill approach of teachers with anxiety risk to those with mental problems was lower than those without anxiety risk (p=0.003). Conclusion: It is noteworthy that the attitudes of teachers towards individuals with mental health problems are at a moderate level, and that the attitudes of teachers who are especially young, women and who frequently encounter these patients are negatively affected.

Implementation of the Kirkpatrick Model in Evaluating the Use of Digital Technology in Counseling Guidance Programs at SMP Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Utara

This research aimed to evaluate the Guidance Counseling (BK) service program in the use of digital technology at SMP Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Utara using the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model. This research method was quantitative with a descriptive approach. Data is technically collected using questionnaire techniques which are the main data source. The subjects in the research were 60 class VIII students who were determined based on a saturated sampling technique where all members of the population were used as research samples. In the context of this research, students act as evaluators or beneficiaries, while the guidance and counseling teachers and school principals are the parties who evaluate the guidance and counseling program services that are implemented. The results of the research show that: 1) At the reaction level, BK services are perceived as showing a scale using digital technology that is on a medium scale with an average of 3.35, 2) At the learning level, BK services in terms of technology use obtain an average of 3. 57 in the high category, 3) At the behavior level with indicators of application of values in the program it is in the medium category with an average of 3.38 in aspects of technology use that need special attention to be optimized, 4) At the results level, students assume that the use of technology is in the medium category with an average of 3.35 which needs to be maximized to improve the quality of the BK program at the research location.

Effect of Bullying on Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Case of a Selected Special Unit at the Mainstream in Kabwe Zambia

This manuscript was a study which focused on the effects of bullying learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder in mainstream. The main objectives of the study were to assess the reasons of bullying learners with autism Spectrum Disorder, to establish how bulling affected learners with autism and to find out interventions the school had to put in place to stop bullying of learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The study was conducted at the special unit at the mainstream and homes for learners with autism because that is where these learners were found. The study was qualitative in nature. Thus the instruments for data collection were the focused group discussion for parents, special education teachers, regular teachers and school administrators, structured interview guide for regular and Guidance teacher and lastly observation checklist for parents. The study revealed that the reasons for bulling learners with autism were as a result of failing to socialize with peers, being violent towards friends and having an antisocial behavior, failing to speak properly when with friends and not looking at the person they were talking to. The study also established the negative effects bulling had on these leaners such as increased violence, changing of antisocial behavior from bad to worse, they became more depressed and their low self-esteem became worse too. With regards interventions that were put in place by the school to stop bullying of learners with autism, the school plan helped learners develop and regain their loss of confidence by involving them in school activities such as academic work and giving them simpler work and reward them through praise or giving them something for doing something commendable, by helping them improve on their social interactions through encouraging them to interact more frequently with peers in order to correct their lost confidence. Suggested recommendations from the study includes, putting up a deliberate policy by the school to help autistic learners develop commutative skills, socialize frequently and positively with peers at least every day. Introduction of anti-bullying club at school to make other learners respect and accept these children’s condition without segregation. It was also recommended that the future study on the effects of bulling learners with autism in the mainstream would be necessary to establish more challenges faced by these learners in the mainstream and the research concerning autistic learners should be included in all mainstream schools in central province of Zambia in order to help these learners fully.

ANALISIS KINERJA GURU BK: PELAKSANAAN BIMBINGAN KLASIKAL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN

This study aims to look at the performance of guidance and counseling teachers at SMKN 1 Cikarang Utara in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a case study design with a focus on developing an in-depth analysis of the performance of guidance and counseling teachers. Data collection techniques using observation of the environment of SMKN 1 Cikarang Utara, interviews with the head of bk coordination and 3 guidance and counseling teachers and documentation in the form of photos and collection of supporting data. Data validity techniques use validity and credibility tests by triangulation as reinforcement and supporting data. The results showed that the implementation of the classical guidance program carried out went well in accordance with the objectives to be achieved. There is a change for the better in achieving service goals before and after being given a classical guidance program. These changes were accepted by several students. Changes that occur include changes in behavior, mindset, insight and knowledge.

Teenage Pregnancy and Education: An Analysis of Dropout Rates in Selected Public Schools in Kabwe District, Zambia

This study used a mixed-methods case descriptive design to investigate the impact of teenage pregnancy on dropout rates in public schools in Kabwe District, Zambia. The study aimed to determine the prevalence of teenage pregnancy and its effects on dropout patterns, identify socioeconomic and cultural factors contributing to educational attrition among pregnant teenagers, assess long-term consequences of teenage pregnancy on educational trajectories, and propose evidence-based recommendations. Data collection methods included interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. Key findings were that guidance teachers and parents can significantly reduce teenage pregnancy, but more joint efforts are needed. Detrimental impacts on schooling included dropout, delayed completion, lack of concentration, and psychological consequences. It is crucial for all stakeholders to work collaboratively in supporting young women's education and empowerment. The study provides insights into these complex issues in Zambia and recommends comprehensive multi-sectoral approaches to address teenage pregnancy and promote sustainable education.

LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KARIR DALAM UPAYA MENGURANGI KECEMASAN SISWA SMA DALAM PEMILIHAN KARIR

This research aims to determine the results of services in an effort to reduce students' anxiety in choosing a career using the SLR (Systrmatic literature review) method. Literature sources were obtained from the crossref metadata database in the Indonesian Bebrahasa journal for 2016-2023. In this research there are several results from career guidance services in an effort to reduce students' anxiety in choosing a career, including; (1) career guidance services; (2) career anxiety; and (3) the role of guidance and counseling teachers. There are several strategies from guidance services that have provided positive results in the success of career guidance services, including; (1) career guidance services, (2) trait factors, (3) Rational Emotive Therapy (TRE), (4) cognitive information processing career counseling, and (5) Client Centered Therapy.

IMPLEMENTATION OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING PROGRAMS IN STUDENT LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

It is very important to have a good understanding of guidance and counseling in the education of students in primary schools, especially with regard to teaching and learning activities in the classroom. The objectives of this article are to: a) Explain how the guidance and counseling program is implemented in elementary schools; b) Explain the role of teachers in implementing the guidance and counseling program; c) Explain teachers' efforts to implement student learning guidance; and d) Explain how guidance and counseling teachers communicate with parents about student learning outcomes. This research is categorized as field research, which uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods used observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses qualitative analysis, which means that the data is described in words or sentences and then comes to a conclusion through the following steps:: a) data reduction; b) data presentation (data display), c) conclusion drawing (verification). The results of this study indicate that at SD Negeri 1 Kenanga there is already a counseling guidance program (BK) which includes student learning guidance services. The teacher as the executor of the guidance provider has provided learning guidance to students who are experiencing difficulties well.

Student Perceptions of the Role of Guidance and Counseling Teachers Impact on Subjective Well-Being Ambon City High School students

This research aims to determine the influence of: (1) students' perceptions about the role of teachers guidance and counseling towards subjective well-being high school students in Ambon City. This study used a quantitative approach to the type of survey research. The minimum number of samples according to Isaac and Michael with a population of 10,661 is 264. The sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling with a sample of 314 students. The data collection technique used a scale, namely scale of students' perceptions about the role of guidance and counseling teachers, and scale of subjective well-being. The data were analyzed using path analysis, which had previously carried out various assumption tests, namely the normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The research results show that (1), there is a significant positive influence on students' perceptions of the role of guidance and counseling teachers' subjective well-being with a coefficient of 0.287

PENDEKATAN PREVENTIF DALAM MENCEGAH PERMASALAHAN DAN MENUMBUHKAN KARAKTER SISWA KELAS XII MIPA SMA NEGERI 1 SELEMADEG

Preventive action in classroom management is the prevention of deviant behavior. Preventive efforts are social control in the form of preventing disturbances. However, there are still some students who lack religious character and discipline, such as some students who still violate school rules, there are students who do not participate in activities who are less polite in speaking, lack respect for their teachers, and there are students who experience obstacles in character building. The aim of this research is to find out how to take a preventive approach in preventing problems and developing the character of class XII MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Selemadeg. This research is descriptive qualitative field research. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The collected data was analyzed by data reduction, data description, interpretation, strengthening theory and then drawing conclusions. The results of research carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Selemadeg Tabanan in 2024 show that there are preventive efforts by guidance and counseling teachers in shaping student character, so that guidance and counseling teachers have carried out several efforts to shape student character, namely religious character and disciplinary character. This character formation is also instilled in students through the regulations implemented at school. Strategi Komunikasi Interpersonal Guru Bimbingan Konseling (Bk) Dalam Menangani Kenakalan Siswa Smk Negeri 8 Padang

Delinquency in students occurs because the condition of students is still unstable or in the process of searching for their identity. Apart from that, student delinquency can also be influenced by their environment, whether from family, friendship or community environment. With communication between teachers and students who have problems, they will experience their own satisfaction and experience catharsis (the release of the underlying problem with relief and understanding of the problem). But in helping to solve student problems, guidance and counseling teachers need various ways to find out the real problem, and to be able to provide students with an understanding that the student is having problems. Therefore, interpersonal communication strategies are really needed so that students who have problems can express something hidden beneath their self-awareness, beneath their abilities and beneath their feelings. Interpersonal communication strategies themselves have a big influence in changing bad student attitudes. Because face to face or individually, the teacher will know better the reasons why the student committed the act, making it easier for the teacher to find a solution or eliminate the student's bad behavior. Communication is an important aspect of human life, communication is divided into several types of communication, including: interpersonal communication and group communication. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach and uses Social Penetration theory. The results of this research explain the interpersonal communication strategies of guidance and counseling teachers in handling delinquency students at SMK Negeri 8 Padang with full empathy, understanding, openness and good relationships with students.

Exploring Suicidal Ideation Among High School Students in Central Java: A Comprehensive Analysis

There has been an increase in suicides in Indonesia in recent years. Suicide is the leading cause of death in the 15-29 age group. Suicide attempts begin with suicidal ideation. Suicidal ideation arises because the pain or suffering experienced by individuals occurs continuously. This study aims to analyze suicidal ideation that arises due to hopelessness and the desire to be free from pain in adolescents. Data were collected using a questionnaire adapted from the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS). The study was conducted on 1154 students at one of the high schools in Central Java. The results showed that 12% of students had the idea to make a suicide attempt. Further results showed that 86% of respondents did not have a specific plan to commit suicide, 58% of respondents thought about suicide less than once a week, 41% of respondents were able to control suicidal ideation easily, 40% of respondents thought family, religion, and the pain of death could stop suicidal thoughts, and 35% of respondents made suicidal ideation as an attempt to end pain. This shows that suicidal ideation in adolescents is a problem that needs attention from various parties, one of which is the Guidance and Counseling teacher.

Interpersonal Communication In Handling Student Indisiplinary Behavior at SMP Swasta Taman Siswa Polonia.

The focus of this research is the interpersonal communication efforts made by the Guidance Counseling teacher in handling student indisciplinary behavior and the communication barriers that occur in handling it. The theory used is interpersonal communication theory (Joseph A. Devito). This research method uses qualitative methods. The results of the study found that: the efforts made by counseling guidance teachers in dealing with students who commit disciplinary actions are by (1) Openness, through openness the counseling guidance teacher can find out clearly what is the main reason students commit disciplinary actions by calling students personally (2) Empathy, through empathy the counseling guidance teacher feels directly what is actually the main problem of students, through the expression of students' feelings and attitudes so that the counseling guidance teacher can then provide motivation and advice so that in the future the student does not repeat his actions. (3) Support and positive attitude, through the support of counseling teachers who already understand the conditions of students who commit disciplinary actions try to accept with positive thoughts so as not to affect emotions.Teachers find solutions by not scolding students so that communication is effective and the message of advice given to students is also conveyed properly. (4) Equality. The counseling teacher tries to give full trust to students not to repeat their actions, by giving trust the counseling teacher believes the student will think again when committing disciplinary actions because their teacher has given them trust. The barriers found in the interpersonal communication process are first, psychological barriers where students are afraid or embarrassed (minder) when they know they are called by the counseling guidance teacher so that students become closed and unable to communicate well.Second, technical barriers, where there is only one counseling teacher so that counseling services become less optimal. Third, cultural barriers mean that differences in socio-cultural backgrounds between counseling teachers and students result in differences in perceptions so that counseling teachers must provide understanding repeatedly to equalize perceptions.

Examining the Opinions of Medical students Regarding the Process of the Thesis Implementation and Its Importance in Medical Education

Introduction: Examining the opinions of medical students about the thesis, its implementation process, and its effectiveness can make the planners, familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the existing conditions and provide the possibility of its correction. The present study was conducted to investigate the opinions of medical students of Ahvaz JundiShapur University of Medical Sciences regarding the process of general medical thesis implementation. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the opinions of 247 medical students of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences were examined through a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed. Questionnaires were distributed and collected face to face and online. Data were analyzed using chi-square and independent t-test through SPSS . Results: Students with an average score of 1.36 out of 3 stated that the thesis course has little importance and necessity in the curriculum of general medicine course. With an average of 2.5 out of 3, they wanted to replace the clinical course with a thesis course. Students with an average score of 1.85 out of 3 stated that they are relatively satisfied with the ability and cooperation of their guidance teachers. The results showed that there is no statistically significant difference between the students about the importance and necessity of the thesis course by gender (p=0.22, t=1.22) and the grade point average (GPA) (p=0.15, t=1.43). 89 (%79.7) female student and 106 (%85.5) male student stated that if the "thesis" was optional, they would not choose it (p=0.15). No significant difference was observed between the students by GPA with choosing the thesis if it was optional (p=0.41). Conclusion: According to the results, medical students were relatively satisfied with the ability and cooperation of the supervisors in completing the thesis, but they believed that the thesis unit is not very important in their medical profession and future career, and they wanted to replace it with clinical training courses.

Pedagogical Outlook on How Disability and Inclusive Education are Perceived in Educational Rural Contexts

In the process of building educational communities that include students with disabilities, it is a challenge to understand how diverse these students are in terms of their specificities, interests, potentialities, and expectations, to ensure their comprehensive development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the underlying assumptions in discourses about disability and inclusive education in the classroom, based on how these are perceived by teachers and counselors in public education institutions in the Colombian departments of Córdoba and Atlántico. The study is grounded on a qualitative, hermeneutic analysis, conducted in 10 focus groups, which took place virtually through the Zoom platform because of the global crisis generated by the pandemic. The data gathered were examined using the tools provided by Textual Discourse Analysis, focusing on giving visibility to the instructors’ voices and positions. The most relevant results related to the perceptions of disability were as follows: (1) For instructors, disability is associated with a lack, with incompleteness, or with an impairment. (2) For guidance teachers, disability is related to potentiality. Regarding inclusive education, both school counselors and teachers agree on (3) broadening the view towards a comprehensive and integrative approach to pedagogical work with students. (4) training in a pedagogical practice that contributes to different conditions of disability. One of the main conclusions is that the conceptions of disability and inclusive education are barriers present in the reality of rural educational institutions, therefore, they must be transformed systematically and gradually into affirmative actions from the reflexivity on practice.

Implementation of Islamic Counseling Guidance in Forming Student Character in Madrasah

This study investigates the scope of counseling and guidance services available in Madrasahs, focusing on their relationship with character formation among students. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study model, the research aims to understand the dynamics of counseling and guidance services in shaping the character of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Anwar. Data were gathered from school principals, guidance and counseling teachers, and students through interviews, observations, and documentation. Analysis of the data involved data reduction, presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal several key points: (1) Madrasahs offer various forms of counseling services encompassing orientation, individual, group, classical, learning, consultation, placement, content mastery, and career guidance; (2) there exists a strong correlation between counseling guidance and character development, with each reinforcing the other; (3) steps involved in using counseling and guidance services for character formation include group counseling, planning, execution, evaluation, and parental involvement; and (4) the effectiveness of counseling and guidance services in addressing issues and fostering character development in Madrasahs is evident through successful problem resolution. These findings underscore the active role played by counseling and guidance services in shaping student character through service provision activities.

Assessing Secondary School Teachers' Perceptions of Counseling and Guidance in Karachi, Pakistan

Study examines teachers' perspectives on guidance and counseling in secondary schools. Teachers are backbone of education to build personality of individuals, motivate and help them chalk out future plans. A simple random sampling technique selected 170 males and females. Quantitative research technique used, and data collected through survey.The survey questionnaire was developed, and data was collected from secondary schools’ teachers. The responses of the participants of the study were entered for analysis of the data in SPSS version 22. Most of the population agreed to enhance the guidance and counseling sessions in schools as they increase student understanding and fulfill student needs. Study recommended that teachers be aware of guidance and counseling to build students who can express their thoughts, opinions and develop social skills. School administration should organize the guidance and counseling program and hire trained guidance and counseling teachers to implement the guidance and counseling sessions.

Opinions of Psychological Counselor and Guidance Teachers Taking Work in Earthquake Psychosocıal Support Works (Malatya Province Example)

This study was carried out with psychological counselor/guidance teachers working within the scope of psychosocial support services in the earthquake region of Malatya in 2020. The research was carried out by using the phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research models, with the focus group interview method. 11 psychological counselors/guidance teachers participated in the study. During the interview, video and audio recordings were taken and the interviews were deciphered. Content analysis method was used to analyze the findings. When the findings of the study were examined, it was revealed that the motivation of the participants to provide psychosocial support services was prior experience and encouragement. Encouragement; In the title, the support and experience of the Guidance and Research Center Directorate (RAM), attending the coordination meeting and communicating with colleagues are mainly included. Findings were obtained that the participants did not feel professionally competent before starting psychosocial support activities. However, towards the end of the studies, there are also findings regarding the development of professional competence. It was found as the most extraordinary event that some of the relatives of the people who died due to the earthquake found solace in death. Participants stated their expectations and suggestions regarding post-earthquake psychosocial support activities.
