Speed-of-sound measurements were performed at pressures up to 150 MPa in the temperature range from 293 to 373 K on n-hexane in the liquid state. Theses data were then used to evaluate the isentropic and isothermal compressibility in the same range of pressures and temperatures. The speed-of-sound measurements, as well as the related compressibility coefficients, compare very well with the values calculated from the correlation of Randzio et al. Volumetric properties also compare very well with the direct measurements reported in the standard reference data tables.
