A Research Study on the ERP System Implementation and Current Trends in ERP

The ERP archive found from long back years may be in 1970, and it had been initiated with the aim of business processes integration. The Gartner Group coined the name ERP, and it had implemented at the start of the year 1990. Software firms such as SAP had initiated to deploy ERP at the start of the 1990s. SAP further delivered the R/3 version in the year 1992. The SAP R/3 had been equipped with the addition of customer-server hardware construction to work on many stages at a time. The year 2000 had seen the solution over the problem of Y2K by all major ERP software system providers. Over the last 10 years, the ERP software market has to spread immensely with service providers are catering business-wide application with a complete range of application and functions.This paper tried to study the detailed ERP system implementation process and current trends in ERP software. Further, we found out some problems or gaps in an ERP system application process and tried to answer it with proposed solutions.We conclude this study as “an ERP system integrates all the functions in an organization like finance, marketing, manufacturing, and human resource with an advance real-time data collection, processing, and communication with very fast speed and allowing the organization for a quick decision on the real-time issues to control the complete business process day today.”

PRINCIPLES OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE VERTICAL GREENERY SYSTEM (VGS) IN ARCHITECTURE

The environmental problems of cities have caused an increase in energy consumption in buildings, which can be slowed by improving the buildings’ energy efficiency. Energy consumption in buildings is affected by the building envelope, and integration of the greenery with the building envelope will contribute in saving energy and increasing the buildings’ energy efficiency. Therefore, the vertical greenery system (VGS) has received a lot of attention in recent decades as a model whose implementation can increase the energy efficiency of buildings. Defining the basic VGS system implementation will allow engineers to systematically approach the process of VGS system implementation and help them choose the best VGS system model for a selected site or building.

THE EFFECT OF PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT SYSTEMIMPLEMENTATION ON THE JAMBI LOCAL GOVERNMENT PERFORMANCE

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the implementation factors of Performance Measurement System (PMS) on government institution to the organizational performance of the Regional Device Work Unit (RDWU). Implementation, use and accountability are the stages of activity undertaken in the design of performance measurement systems. While the performance of the organization is the achievement of management as measured from the level of achievement of the program plan determined by the realization of the program that has been determined. Performance is measured by using a financial and non-financial approach whose data comes from the financial bureau and the regional organization bureau of Jambi province. The respondents of this study are 52 civil servants who are mostly part of the program staff. The type of data used is primary and secondary data from over 50 RDWU Jambi. This study is based on Quantitative Method of Structural Equation Modeling method using Partial Least Square (WarpPLS 6.00) analysis to test the hypothesis built. There is evidence that management commitment and leadership style have a significant positive effect on the use of PMS information. Legislative Council Authority and Supervision of Supreme Audit Board (SAB) also have a significant effect on performance accountability. This research has theoretical implication that institutional isomorphism occurs in everyday practice in the field and it plays an important role in the implementation process of performance measurement and accountability system in the public sector, especially in government of Jambi province. From the policy-making perspective, this research can be considered by the central government, legislative council and SAB that internal and external performance measurement system has a positive effect on the use of PMS and performance accountability in the provincial government of Jambi.

Desain Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Akuntansi untuk Usaha Bengkel Studi Kasus pada AA Cempaka Auto Service

This study aims to design an accounting information system application in AA Cempaka Auto Service workshop. Case study used as research approach. The application design process begins with studying the forms and reports that are required by the workshop business i.e purchasing form, sales form, general journal form, vehicle service record, debt payment and receivables. Required reports consist of transaction journal records, general ledger, balance sheet, income statement, balance sheet, inventory position, and vehicle service record. Application development stage using Microsoft Access 2007 software and VBA facilities for automation of journal posting and inventory cost calculation based on moving average method. The next step is to test the application to get sufficient confidence in transaction processing by comparing the results of the processing with the manual calculations performed. The implementation process is carried out by converting the initial data on the conversion date and inputting the transaction up to the company's operating date. After carrying out the implementation and conversion, the final stage is to carry out training to users and carry out the process of improvement and adjustments to the application based on feedback received from the user. The system design and implementation process have been deemed successful after the user has stated that the application has met all user needs and is operating properly.

Can evidence-based decision support tools transform antibiotic management? A systematic review and meta-analyses.

To assess the effectiveness of clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) at reducing unnecessary and suboptimal antibiotic prescribing within different healthcare settings. A systematic review of published studies was undertaken with seven databases from database inception to November 2018. A protocol was developed using the PRISMA-P checklist and study selection criteria were determined prior to performing the search. Critical appraisal of studies was undertaken using relevant tools. Meta-analyses were performed using a random-effects model to determine whether CDSS use affected optimal antibiotic management. Fifty-seven studies were identified that reported on CDSS effectiveness. Most were non-randomized studies with low methodological quality. However, randomized controlled trials of moderate methodological quality were available and assessed separately. The meta-analyses indicated that appropriate antibiotic therapy was twice as likely to occur following the implementation of CDSSs (OR 2.28, 95% CI 1.82-2.86, k = 20). The use of CDSSs was also associated with a relative decrease (18%) in mortality (OR 0.82, 95% CI 0.73-0.91, k = 18). CDSS implementation also decreased the overall volume of antibiotic use, length of hospital stay, duration and cost of therapy. The magnitude of the effect did vary by study design, but the direction of the effect was consistent in favouring CDSSs. Decision support tools can be effective to improve antibiotic prescribing, although there is limited evidence available on use in primary care. Our findings suggest that a focus on system requirements and implementation processes would improve CDSS uptake and provide more definitive benefits for antibiotic stewardship.

Application of Traceability System for Dumping Garbage of North Canal Embankment Based on Ai Artificial Intelligence Recognition

Based on the analysis of the process of retrospective management of dumping garbage in the North Canal embankment, the AI artificial intelligence technology is proposed for image recognition of the retrospective system of dumping garbage in the North Canal embankment. The developed system can accurately obtain the photo information, and analyzes the design and implementation process of the river dike dumping traceability system by taking the dumping of the North Canal River Dike as an example.

Model Based Testing Process for Software Systems

Software Testing Process is a very significant issue that influences the standard of software system, that plays a very key role within the development of entire software system life cycle. Software testing is evolving, and Model Based Testing (MBT) is an integral piece of modern test automation. Compare with ancient testing strategies, Model Based Testing is in a position to maintain and achieve testing responsibilities in a quicker, inexpensive and very effective manner. MBT has grown interest with the familiarization of models in the software system design process and implementation process. This paper provides a outline of Model Based Testing and describes its approaches. It discusses software testing evolution. The MBT process is represented, and also the activities are discussed in detail. Additionally, challenges, benefits and drawbacks with Model Based Testing are briefly bestowed. It also describes the suitable applications of Model Based Testing.

Implementation of HIV Interventions Into Faith-Based Organizations: Models and Methodological Considerations.

Implementation of evidence-based interventions aimed at reducing and treating HIV can have a wider spread if funneled through faith-based organizations. However, there is a paucity of frameworks or process models aimed at providing the best practices to implement HIV interventions into faith-based community organizations. Implementation framework and process model for African American faith settings. Presented here is a systems multilevel implementation framework and implementation process model for integrating HIV interventions into faith-based organizations. We conclude with presentation of key methodological considerations and recommendations and discuss strategies for moving implementation science forward in faith-based organizations. Because of their key role in the African American community, faith-based settings must be engaged in implementing evidence-based HIV interventions. Through use of a multilevel systems framework and process model, the methods and approaches of implementation science can be leveraged to encourage the spread of HIV interventions in the African American community.

Electrical Stimulation in Combating Pressure Ulcer for Immobilize Subjects: A Conceptual Framework

A paradigm shift in health system did intensify the need for research on wearable electronics. There are numerous reasons that could lead to skin ulcers. The most common are lesion due to constant pressure, incontinence control, excessive humidity and postural changes. Over the years, there have been numerous interventions ranging from specific skin treatment, introducing prevention programs as well as to mechanical intervention. On the rise in such clinical rehabilitation program is the use of electrical stimulation (ES) at a therapeutic level, wound care and muscle function restoration. This paper presents a concept development and implementation process of a new pressure ulcer intervention system which can be used for both chairbound and bedridden patients. The concept here is to integrate the use of electrical stimulation, interface pressure mapping and redistribution with antimicrobial protection not only to act as therapeutic but at the same time as a means of prevention of pressure ulcers by improving muscle tone and decreasing atrophy among immobilized subjects.

Analysis of the maintainability and portability of ERP host to host system using ISO 9126 model

Telecommunication industry in Indonesia that have a complex system and interconnected for the payment transaction to each vendor. the quality of the system is very influential on each division in the company and the goals are to analyzed host to host quality system. The implementation process of the new system in terms of internal portability and also in terms of the quality system if changes are made, according to the requirements of certain conditions in this case including in terms of internal maintainability, in this case, to be in line with the company that is helping companies in managing business processes according to with company goals and able to carry out operational activities more efficient and more effective. In the process, the analysis of system quality this time was carried out in the system. To analyze the quality system, it was carried out with the ISO 9126 standard as a model and to analyze the internal variables are using Maintainability and Portability. In the analysis, the process is using SPSS 25 and SMARTPLS 3 as processing tools. The results of this analysis process are in the form of recommendations in terms of stability contained in internal maintainability and portability testing, which is taken from the results of the hypothesis and also measurement testing for each related variable. The recommendations proposed are the Improvement System, from the existing SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S / 4 HANA which has advantages in system stability.

Perspectivas dos gestores ambientais dos municípios consorciados ao CIGRES no processo de implantação da coleta seletiva

Ainda são insuficientes os municípios brasileiros que realizam ações em prol de um gerenciamento adequado dos resíduos sólidos urbanos. Diversos fatores contribuem para que o trabalho de educação ambiental em muitos casos sejam ausentes ou pouco eficazes. Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar os métodos de educação ambiental, as fragilidades e potencialidades no processo de implantação do sistema, visando análise, discussão e proposição de ferramentas, soluções e/ou mitigação das dificuldades encontradas. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualiquantitativa direcionada aos gestores ambientais dos municípios da região noroeste do estado do Rio Grande do Sul-RS. Diante dos resultados constatou-se que muitos municípios ainda estão atrasados neste processo e a grande maioria tem se deparado com inúmeros desafios, entre eles a falta de apoio dentro da própria administração municipal e da população em geral. Evidenciou-se também a necessidade da implantação deste sistema ser intensa e ininterrupta, integrando atividades de informação, sensibilização e mobilização de todos os envolvidos. Posterior a análise dos dados, realizou-se uma palestra com os gestores ambientais onde foi apresentado e discutido os resultados da pesquisa, além disso, foram compartilhadas dicas para facilitar o processo de implantação da coleta seletiva, sendo muitas delas apresentadas pelos próprios gestores ambientais em suas respostas.

Design of Campus Bicycle Rental Management System Based on SSM Framework

In view of the chaotic management of bicycle rental in colleges and the high waste rate of resources, the purpose of this paper is designing a bicycle rental management system to make it easier and more efficient for students and leasing businesses to complete bicycle rental. According to the elaboration of the system framework, the design and implementation process of the database, the design concept and use principles of the system are introduced in detail.

ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI ERP (ENTERPRISE RESOURCES PLANNING) ORACLE CLOUD FINANCE PADA PT. HADJI KALLA MAKASSAR

This study aims to determine the challenges and obstacles in the process of implementing the Oracle Cloud ERP system. Cloud-based ERP models are still rarely used by companies in Indonesia. For Oracle cloud, PT Hadji Kalla was the first group of companies to use in Indonesia. The implementation process lasted for 2 years from 2017-2018. This research is a qualitative approach with analytical methods using phenomenological analysis. Data collection is done by interviewing key informants involved in the system implementation process. The results of this study indicate that the informant feels that sometimes the perception of the user (Buyer) is not the same as the results of the system output after implementation. This causes differences of opinion between the implementor and the user towards the final results of the ERP system implementation. In addition, some outputs that were produced were not in accordance with the applicable financial reporting standards in Indonesia (PSAK). So users need to process again (customize) to suit the needs of users. As well as the user's expectations for the emergence of efficiency, it is precisely for them to feel the impact of additional costs. Because of the increased process and resources needed to support the ERP system. Therefore, for users who will implement, there needs to be an initial process of in-depth introduction between the implementor and the user to equalize. So that disappointment does not arise later on. This research is expected to contribute to the ERP system implementation process in the world of practitioners. While theoretically, the results of this study reinforce the concept of schemata theory in the acceptance of a technology.

Councils’ environment management system: an isomorphism inquiry

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to understand how external and internal drivers influence the implementation of the environment management system by selected local councils in Malaysia from the institutional theory and national culture perspectives. Design/methodology/approach This research used a multiple case study approach focusing on three selected Malaysian local councils. The data collection method included semi-structured interviews with officers directly involved in the environment management system implementation. Findings Organizations are more influenced by external rather than internal drivers in implementing the environment management system, and dominated by the normative pressure. This study offers insights into the effectiveness of the identified drivers in the environment management system implementation process, by relating to the type of conformance, either by “compliance” or “convergence.” Research limitations/implications This study demonstrates the effect of national culture on the isomorphic influences of the internal and external motivations by local councils to implement the environment management system, namely, large power distance, collectivism, short-term normative orientation, masculinity and uncertainty avoidance. Practical implications The outcomes can be useful to managers of local councils with responsibilities for environmental decision making. Originality/value Institutional theory and national culture values are used successfully to explain the implementation of the environment management system in the three selected Malaysian councils in this study, in line with the public sector reform agenda undertaken by the Malaysian Government.

Abraham Lincoln’s concept of democracy; from the people, by the people, for the people, is actually a ‘target between’ a combination of countries’ ideology and the interests of the political map oriented to the interests of public welfare.

Development and Evaluation Procedure of the Train-Centric Communication-Based System

Railway transport is reaching an important development stage worldwide. While different kinds of technologies have been applied to the train control system, the development and evaluation procedure remains a challenge. This paper aims to introduce main issues associated with the train control system's challenges, development and implementation, and evaluation methodology. A universal procedure is proposed to assist the development and evaluation of the train-centric communication-based system. After introducing the state-of-the-art and challenges, the train-centric communication control system is discussed. The possibly solutions associated with the train-centric communication system are illustrated in the system implementation process. Afterwards, Petri nets method is introduced to assist the system development. To evaluate the system, various evaluation methodologies are discussed, and a case study is given to do the illustration. It is hoped that this paper can help the researchers to analyze the current state, identify future goals, and refine the architectures and technologies for smart rail transportation.

Universal Autonomous Control and Management System for Multipurpose Unmanned Surface Vessel

Abstract The paper presents design, structure and architecture of the Universal Autonomous Control and Management System (UACAMS) for multipurpose unmanned surface vessel. The system was designed, installed and implemented on the multipurpose platform - unmanned surface vessel named HydroDron. The platform is designed to execute hydrographic survey missions with multi-variant configuration of the survey system (payload?) including multi-beam echo sounder, sonar, LiDAR, automotive radar, photographic and spectral camera systems. The UACAMS designed to provide flexibility that enables to operate on the different kind of surface platform and different type of functional payload. The full system configuration provides all four level of autonomy starting from remotely controlled to full autonomous mission. Each level can be implemented and run depending on user specific requirements. The paper explains the differences between autonomous and automatic mission and shows how the autonomy is implemented into the presented system. The full hardware structural design as well as the software architecture are described. In order to confirm initial assumptions the applied system was tested during four- week sea trials and tuned for a selected vessel to confirm assumptions. In the project, also the original shore control station was designed, produced and tested for the vessel, including specific user controls and radio communication system. Conclusions sum up all crucial points of the design and system implementation process.

The Impact of Employee Involvement and Empowerment in Lean Manufacturing System Implementation towards Organizational Performances

Lean Manufacturing System (LMS) implementations in Malaysia’s automotive industry has not been extensive in its expected reach, as extensive inquiries revealed it being adopted as a “pick-and-choose” system for certain processes or only upon determined levels within the industry. Current implementation strategy does not permit the industry to gain total benefits from the system itself. Undeniably, a few significant factors are being given less significance in multiple stages of LMS’ execution. Employee involvement and employee empowerment have been identified as part of these contributing factors in a successful implementation of LMS in an organization. However, important criterion with its contributing aspects of these factors is not given the necessary attention, translating into a lamer impact upon companies embarking on a LMS deployment. This paper examines the impact of these two factors in the implementation of a lean manufacturing system towards achieving organizational performances in the automotive industry. A questionnaire-survey was administered to gauge the impact of these two factors in an implementation process of a lean manufacturing system and later analyzing the effect towards their organizational performances. Data from 204 automotive parts manufacturers were gathered and analyzed. The correlation between the influencing factors, 5 lean activities and 6 organizational performances were measured. The results gained suggest that the integration between employee involvement and employee empowerment will be a valuable critical organizational capability impacting organizational performances towards the successful implementation of LMS in the Malaysian automotive industry.

Design and implementation of fire rescue scene frame polling dispatcher based on FPGA

In this paper, the design requirements of fire rescue scene frame polling dispatcher based on FPGA are analyzed. After expatiating the research status of video image scheduler and the principle of polling scheduling system, the hardware structure design and function simulation platform of the system are discussed. And then, we introduced the related code system implementation process. Finally, the function of the system design is verified and the result is simulated by the FPGA experimental platform. The whole system function and simulation results meet our design requirements. It has a good application prospect.

Implementation of Model-driven Complex System Engineering Development System

This paper summarizes the related technologies of model-driven complex system engineering development system and establishes a framework for the development system. Then, expounds the implementation process of the development system in detail and emphasizes the key path points of how to achieve the model-driven system research and development capability. Finally, the author puts forward two suggestions for the application and promotion of the development system.
