Design of hybrid Ag–Au nanostructure based fully elastomeric nanocomposite electrodes for soft integrated electronics

Recent advancements in stretchable devices have opened new avenues for constructing soft electronics for use in applications such as health-monitoring wearables, advanced integrated circuits, and soft robotics. Meeting the increasing demand for enhanced functionality in soft electronics requires the development of soft conductors with high electrical conductivity, mechanical durability, and cost-effectiveness. Researchers have addressed this challenge by creating percolated networks within the elastomer as a nanocomposite using low-dimensional conducting nanomaterials to endow non-stretchable metallic materials with mechanical stretchability. For example, silver nanowires (AgNWs) have found wide application as essential fillers in soft conductor nanocomposites owing to their remarkable aspect ratio and cost-efficiency. However, their application is limited by their susceptibility to environmental degradation and poor compatibility with semiconducting materials. In this work, the hybrid Ag–Au based nanomaterials as a filler nanomaterial within an elastomer in a nanocomposite format was generated, as it exploits the strengths of each material while mitigating their respective weaknesses. Specifically, the work introduces the merit of the hybrid elastomeric electrodes that consist of AgNWs decorated with Au nanoparticles (AANWs), and Au nanosheets (AuNSs) embedded in a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) elastomer. These electrodes exhibit remarkable mechanical resilience and electrical conductivity, making them suitable for application in transistors, logic gates, integrated electronics, and soft displays. The work explores the synthesis and properties of hybrid materials comprising AgNWs and AuNSs, highlighting the promising potential of these materials for future research and development.

Synthesis of hybrid materials containing H-ZSM-5 and CeO2 for green butadiene production

Synthesis of hybrid materials combining two or more components with different properties is a commonly used strategy to obtain high-performance materials for a wide range of different applications, including catalytic reactions with a complex reaction network. In this work, two synthesis approaches are investigated to prepare hybrid materials containing two well-defined phases, i.e. H-ZSM-5 and CeO2. By dispersing nano-sized H-ZSM-5 on CeO2, and by synthesizing a core-shell catalyst with a nano H-ZSM-5 core and a ceria shell, a high intimacy between H-ZSM-5 and CeO2 was obtained, while keeping the characteristic properties of each phase. The dehydration of 1,3-butanediol is used as a test reaction to explore the potential of these materials. A ratio between the selectivities of the desired product and intermediates, i.e. 1,3-butadiene (BD), 3-buten-2-ol (3B2OL), and 2-buten-1-ol (2B1OL) to the undesired product propylene (PP) was defined: (BD+3B2OL+2B1OL)/PP. Dispersing H-ZSM-5 zeolites on a CeO2 surface was the optimal synthesis route to enhance the 1,3-butadiene selectivity, and a (BD+3B2OL+2B1OL)/PP selectivity ratio was obtained (3.9) compared to its parent material (2.1).

New Nano-Crystalline Hydroxyapatite-Polycarboxy/Sulfo Betaine Hybrid Materials: Synthesis and Characterization.

Hybrid materials based on calcium phosphates and synthetic polymers can potentially be used for caries protection due to their similarity to hard tissues in terms of composition, structure and a number of properties. This study is focused on the biomimetic synthesis of hybrid materials consisting of hydroxiapatite and the zwitterionic polymers polysulfobetaine (PSB) and polycarboxybetaine (PCB) using controlled media conditions with a constant pH of 8.0-8.2 and Ca/P = 1.67. The results show that pH control is a dominant factor in the crystal phase formation, so nano-crystalline hydroxyapatite with a Ca/P ratio of 1.63-1.71 was observed as the mineral phase in all the materials prepared. The final polymer content measured for the synthesized hybrid materials was 48-52%. The polymer type affects the final microstructure, and the mineral particle size is thinner and smaller in the synthesis performed using PCB than using PSB. The final intermolecular interaction of the nano-crystallized hydroxyapatite was demonstrated to be stronger with PCB than with PSB as shown by our IR and Raman spectroscopy analyses. The higher remineralization potential of the PCB-containing synthesized material was demonstrated by in vitro testing using artificial saliva.

Synergistic Self-Healing Enhancement in Multifunctional Silicone Elastomers and Their Application in Smart Materials.

Organosilicon polymers (silicones) are of enduring interest both as an established branch of polymer chemistry and as a segment of commercial products. Their unique properties were exploited in a wide range of everyday applications. However, current silicone trends in chemistry and materials engineering are focused on new smart applications, including stretchable electronics, wearable stress sensors, protective coatings, and soft robotics. Such applications require a fresh approach to methods for increasing the durability and mechanical strength of polysiloxanes, including crosslinked systems. The introduction of self-healing options to silicones has been recognized as a promising alternative in this field, but only carefully designed multifunctional systems operating with several different self-healing mechanisms can truly address the demands placed on such valuable materials. In this review, we summarized the progress of research efforts dedicated to the synthesis and applications of self-healing hybrid materials through multi-component systems that enable the design of functional silicon-based polymers for smart applications.

Construction of SnO2/SnS2 n-n heterojunction anchored on rGO for synergistically enhanced low temperature formaldehyde sensing performance

Creating metal oxide heterostructures is a promising way to enhance sensing performance by modulating their electronic properties. Herein, SnO2/SnS2 n-n heterojunction anchored on rGO (3.84 % of SnS2) was constructed using a hydrothermal route and fabricated as sensors for detecting formaldehyde (HCHO). The response value of the SnO2/SnS2/rGO sensor is 8.91 to 10 ppm HCHO (100 °C), which is about 2.6 and 1.8 times higher than that of the SnO2 and SnO2/SnS2 sensor (200 °C), respectively. The SnO2/SnS2/rGO sensor is also sensitive to ppb level HCHO (1.33 to 100 ppb), exhibits fast response/recovery speed, good reproducibility and long-term stability, and remarkable selectivity. The significant enhancement performance of the SnO2/SnS2/rGO sensor could be ascribed to the synergistic effect of the n-n heterojunction between SnO2 and SnS2, as well as the presence of rGO, which acts as a charge carrier facilitator and enhances the specific surface area boost the high sensing properties. This work provides a practical approach to synthesizing hybrid materials with adjustable micro-morphology, and a promising strategy for designing HCHO sensors with high sensing performance.

A New Avenue in Hybrid Polyoxometalate Chemistry: Synthesis and Characterization of Mn (II) Functionalized POM Based Ionic Liquids

The synthesis of novel hybrid materials, combining the properties of organic and inorganic components in one compound, results in materials with unique physical and chemical properties. The organic-functionalization of POMs with covalently or non-covalently linked organic species opens a large spectrum of possibilities and research challenges. The development of such novel systems for metal−organic architectures is an attractive research field. Lacunary polyoxometalates (POMs) offer structurally well-defined coordination sites with various coordination directions; thus, lacunary POMs are ideal building blocks for inorganic−organic architectures. Here, we report the successful self-assembly of transition metal substituted anionic POM along with a new generation POM based ionic liquid. We know that the counter-cations in polyoxometalate chemistry play immense role beyond charge balance. That is why the resultant structure is furthermore utilized as a stable and reactive building block to synthesize POM based ionic liquid (POM-IL), an inorganic−organic architecture comprising 3d-metal substituted mono-lacunary POM and tetrabutyl ammonium (TBA) ligands.

Enhanced Catalytic Performance of Carbon Nitride-Functionalized Titanium Dioxide through Efficient Oxygen Vacancy Defect Engineering for Electrochemical Recognition of Epinephrine

Oxygen defect engineering is a reliable and efficient approach to modulate the electronic structure of metal oxides for the improvement of catalytic efficiency. In this work, carbon nitride supported titanium dioxide nanoparticle, with the space group of I41/amd, was prepared using a high temperature synthesis route. Transmission electron microscope study revealed that titanium dioxide particle were dispersed uniformly on the carbon nitride network. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis predicted the formation of oxygen defects in the matrix of titanium oxide, and it also indicated the presence of titanium ions with mixed valence states. The synthesized hybrid system was evaluated as an electrocatalyst for the electrochemical detection of epinephrine using cyclic voltammetric and square wave voltammetric techniques. A custom-made device was also fabricated using synthesized hybrid material for the purpose of evaluating the electrochemical sensing of epinephrine in a pharmaceutical sample.

Development of PCL/TiO2 composite as an efficient antibacterial, anticancer drug and biocompatible properties

The present investigation focuses on the synthesis of hybrid materials (organic/inorganic) for biomedical applications using titanium dioxide (TiO2) and polycaprolactone (PCL). Nano-structured titania produced from a newly synthesized titanium(IV) heteroleptic complex using sol–gel method. In order to develop PCL/TiO2 nanocomposite, three different compositions (30 wt%, 40 wt% and 50 wt%) of TiO2 was processed with biodegradable PCL matrix via sol–gel technique. The resulted nanocomposite material was characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analyses. PXRD patterns of the hybrid material revealed that the crystallinity of the PCL/TiO2 was found to be decreased as the amount of nano TiO2 got increased in the PCL matrix and crystallites size was observed as 27 nm for 50 wt% composite. FTIR spectra indicated the interaction between the nano titania and functional group of the PCL. Surface morphology and elemental composition were analysed using FE-SEM and EDX. Using the well diffusion technique, PCL/TiO2 composites were tested for antibacterial activity against four infective microbiological strains such as Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis), Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) and Escherichia coli (E. coli). PCL/TiO2 composite (50 wt%) demonstrated good results against S. aureus (16 mm) and E. coli (17 mm) strains. Protein binding interaction of composite material with bovine serum albumin (BSA) exhibited highest binding affinity for 50 wt% of PCL/TiO2 (Kb = 0.88 × 104 M−1). Biocompatibility of very PCL/TiO2 composite was evaluated against osteosarcoma cancer (MG 63) cell line and observed half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) value as 35.37 µg/mL estimated by MTT assay. Apoptosis was also carried out by using acridine orange/ethidium bromide (AO/EB) staining.

The synthesis and application of crystalline-amorphous hybrid materials.

Crystalline-amorphous hybrid materials (CA-HMs) possess the merits of both pure crystalline and amorphous phases. Abundant dangling bonds, unsaturated coordination atoms, and isotropic structural features in the amorphous phase, as well as relatively high electronic conductivity and thermodynamic structural stability of the crystalline phase simultaneously take effect in CA-HMs. Furthermore, the atomic and bandgap mismatch at the CA-HM interface can introduce more defects as extra active sites, reservoirs for promoted catalytic and electrochemical performance, and induce built-in electric field for facile charge carrier transport. Motivated by these intriguing features, herein, we provide a comprehensive overview of CA-HMs on various aspects-from synthetic methods to multiple applications. Typical characteristics of CA-HMs are discussed at the beginning, followed by representative synthetic strategies of CA-HMs, including hydrothermal/solvothermal methods, deposition techniques, thermal adjustment, and templating methods. Diverse applications of CA-HMs, such as electrocatalysis, batteries, supercapacitors, mechanics, optoelectronics, and thermoelectrics along with underlying structure-property mechanisms are carefully elucidated. Finally, challenges and perspectives of CA-HMs are proposed with an aim to provide insights into the future development of CA-HMs.

Remediation of organic pollutant from the aqueous environment using in-house fabricated polyaniline-based hybrid composite (PANI-MnPBA/NiCoMnS) materials

Polyaniline-based hybrid material (PANI-MnPBA/NiCoMnS) was prepared by hydrothermal-solvothermal approach. Synthesized hybrid material was characterized through FTIR-spectroscopy, p-XRD, SEM, EDX, BET, and Zetasizer techniques. Hybrid material as adsorbent for removal of Congo red (CR) from water system showed excellent results such as 98 % removal efficiency and 254 mg/g adsorption capacity. Furthermore, various studies like adsorption isothermal, kinetic, thermodynamic, and statistical analysis were performed to understand the adsorption phenomenon. From various kinetic models, pseudo-first and second-order kinetic models, intra-particle and liquid film diffusion kinetic models, pseudo-first-order kinetic model, and liquid-film diffusion kinetic model both are most suitable for explaining the adsorption phenomenon due to the greater value of R2 (0.955) for CR. According to these kinetic models, physio-sorption and diffusion play a basic role in the adsorption of CR. Moreover, ΔG (-1779.508 kJ mol−1) and ΔH (61,760.889 kJ mol−1) values explained the spontaneous and exothermic nature of the adsorption process, respectively. Furthermore, for support of the adsorption mechanism via electrostatic attractions before and after the adsorption process FTIR results of as-synthesized adsorbent were measured (NH peaks before 3668.88, after 3541.41 cm−1). These results confirm electrostatic attraction for the adsorption process. Finally, the statistical model was added (n < 1), according to this model, adsorption follows a multi-anchorage approach and adsorbent contains enough sites for adsorption of CR.

In-situ synthesis of carbon nanotubes-graphite hybrid materials

This contribution deals with a commercially scalable catalyst preparation method for the synthesis of a new generation of hybrid materials based on carbon-nanotubes-graphite. Commercial natural graphite in spherical or flake shapes, with varying particle sizes and textural properties, were used as catalyst support. They were impregnated with aqueous solutions containing cobalt nitrate in the presence of a non-ionic surfactant agent and then dried and calcined under controlled experimental conditions. Catalytic activity properties were evaluated in a rotary tube reactor using ethylene as a carbon source at a temperature of 650 °C and a residence time of 5 min. It was observed that the use of a surfactant agent in the impregnation step significantly improved the adsorption and dispersion of the active metal on the hydrophobic catalyst support surface, enabling the formation of a dense coating of carbon nanotubes on the graphite particles after the synthesis. The multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) showed diameters ranging from 10 to 20 nm and lengths between 5 and 10 µm, with most of them growing via the base-mode growth mechanism. The morphology properties of the graphite particles play a key role in influencing the active metal surface deposition, the MWCNT yield, and their aspect ratio properties

Enhancing Visible-Light Photocatalysis with Pd(II) Porphyrin-Based TiO2 Hybrid Nanomaterials: Preparation, Characterization, ROS Generation, and Photocatalytic Activity

Novel hybrid TiO2-based materials were obtained by adsorption of two different porphyrins on the surface of nanoparticles—commercially available 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin (TPPS) and properly modified metalloporphyrin—5,10,15,20-tetrakis(2,6-difluoro-3-sulfophenyl)porphyrin palladium(II) (PdF2POH). The immobilization of porphyrins on the surface of TiO2 was possible due to the presence of sulfonyl groups. To further elevate the adsorption of porphyrin, an anchoring linker—4-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHBA)—was used. The synthesis of hybrid materials was proven by electronic absorption spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering (DLS), and photoelectrochemistry. Results prove the successful photosensitization of TiO2 to visible light by both porphyrins. However, the presence of the palladium ion in the modifier structure played a key role in strong adsorption, enhanced charge separation, and thus effective photosensitization. The incorporation of halogenated metalloporphyrins into TiO2 facilitates the enhancement of the comprehensive characteristics of the investigated materials and enables the evaluation of their performance under visible light. The effectiveness of reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation was also determined. Porphyrin-based materials with the addition of PHBA seemed to generate ROS more effectively than other composites. Interestingly, modifications influenced the generation of singlet oxygen for TPPS but not hydroxyl radical, in contrast to PdF2POH, where singlet oxygen generation was not influenced but hydroxyl radical generation was increased. Palladium (II) porphyrin-modified materials were characterized by higher photostability than TPPS-based nanostructures, as TPPS@PHBA-P25 materials showed the highest singlet oxygen generation and may be oxidized during light exposure. Photocatalytic activity tests with two model pollutants—methylene blue (MB) and the opioid drug tramadol (TRML)—confirmed the light dose-dependent degradation of those two compounds, especially PdF2POH@P25, which led to the virtually complete degradation of MB.

In-situ Mg-Al LDH infused lignin-derived laser scribed graphene for facilitated ion transport in flexible supercapacitor application

BackgroundInnovations in the synthesis of hybrid materials have led to technology advancement of the microsupercapacitor. Delaminated layered double hydroxide (LDH) reduces self-agglomeration and increases energy density in graphene-based supercapacitors. The incorporation of delaminated LDH with oil palm lignin derived laser scribed graphene in neutral PAAS/K2SO4 gel electrolyte for flexible microsupercapacitor applications was investigated. MethodVarious concentrations of positively charged sucrose-delaminated Mg-Al LDH nanosheets produced through the coprecipitation method were hybridised with negatively charged oil palm lignin-derived laser scribed graphene (L-LSG) through electrostatic interaction. Significant FindingsHybrid laser scribed graphene developed from delaminated Mg-Al LDH at a concentration of 10 gL−1 (L-LSG/D-MgAl-10) had the largest surface area of 49.335 m2g−1. The incorporation of Mg-Al LDH nanosheets on l-LSG were further validated by FESEM, TEM, XRD, Zeta potential and other characterizations. It also had the highest areal capacitance and energy density, measuring 40 mFcm−2 and 0.00296 mWhcm−2, respectively, at a current density of 0.08 mAcm−2. The fabricated microsupercapacitor has exceptional bending capabilities and capacitance retention of 89.2% after 5000 cycles. In summary, by inducing additional pseudocapacitance, delaminated Mg-Al LDH improved the overall effectiveness of the oil palm lignin derived graphene electrode compared to pristine graphene.

Syntheses characterization, and photocatalytic property of an organic-inorganic compound obtained by bromine salt and the β-Mo8O26 anion

According to the structure/property characteristics of polyacids, the design and synthesis of new inorganic organic hybrid materials based on POMs is of great significance for the rapid and effective removal of pollutants in wastewater. In addition, many researchers have synthesized a large number of POMs-based inorganic organic hybrid compounds with organic cations as templates. Based on the above background, in this article, a new supramolecular compound named o-[C20H18N2O4][Mo8O26]0.5.H2O was obtained through hydrothermal method by reacting 1, 2-bis[4-nitrile-pyridine)-N-methylene]phenyldibromide (L1) with (NH4)6Mo7O24.4H2O. The compound was characterized by IR, PXRD, and single crystal X-ray analysis. Single crystal X-ray analysis shows that the compound consists of a [β-Mo8O26] 2–, a dicarboxylic acid chelating ligand and a water molecule. This compound exhibits good catalytic activity towards MB. The degradation rate of MB by photocatalysis of compound 1 was 75.2% . The novelty of this work lies in the synthesis of a cyano-hydrolyzed ligand and the high efficiency of MB degradation of the compound.

Tuneable Plasmonic Resonances Of A Dynamic Thin Film Of Ultrasmall Nanocrystals Modified In the Anti-Galvanic Reduction Process.

Ultrasmall gold nanoparticles (NPs) have revolutionized nanotechnology as they are an excellent starting substrate for the synthesis of organic-inorganic hybrid materials with photonic or energy conversion applications, often with a responsive nature. However, ultrasmall NPs do not sustain plasmonic resonances, preventing their use in plasmon-related applications. In the presented work, we show a method of chemical modification of ultrasmall gold nanoparticles in order to fabricate dynamically controlled plasmonic thin films. For this purpose, we used the Anti-Galvanic Reduction process (AGR) to modify the surface of small gold nanoparticles, inducing plasmonic properties without notable size increases. Au@Ag NPs are then modified with liquid crystal-like organic ligands. The obtained NPs can assemble into densely packed films with long-range order and temperature-dependent structural properties. Namely, we detect two, fully reversible phase transitions between the hexagonal and cubic symmetries. The combination of AGR and organic surface modifications enabled us to demonstrate the possibility of managing plasmonic properties in the thin film of ~2 nm diameter metallic NPs.

Self-Healing Antimicrobial Silicones-Mechanisms and Applications.

Organosilicon polymers (silicones) are an important part of material chemistry and a well-established commercial product segment with a wide range of applications. Silicones are of enduring interest due to their unique properties and utility. Recently, new application areas for silicone-based materials have emerged, such as stretchable electronics, wearable stress sensors, smart coatings, and soft robotics. For this reason, research interest over the past decade has been directed towards new methods of crosslinking and increasing the mechanical strength of polyorganosiloxanes. The introduction of self-healing mechanisms may be a promising alternative for such high-value materials. This approach has gained both growing research interest and a rapidly expanding range of applications. Inherent extrinsic and intrinsic self-healing methods have been used in the self-healing of silicones and have resulted in significant advances in polymer composites and coatings, including multicomponent systems. In this review, we present a summary of research work dedicated to the synthesis and applications of self-healing hybrid materials containing polysiloxane segments, with a focus on antimicrobial and antifouling coatings.

Deep eutectic solvent incorporated AC/MIL-101 hybrid material catalysts for the production of fuel additives (acetins) from by-product glycerol

In this work, grafting of an AC/MIL-101(Cr) hybrid sample using acidic deep eutectic solvent (DES) was performed to enhance the acidity and catalytic activity for the acetylation reaction of glycerol. DESs are green solvents and have many advantages, such as easy preparation with the mixing of two or three components, high biodegradability, and an environmentally friendly nature. The synthesized hybrid materials, AC/MIL-101 and AC/MIL-101/DES, were characterized using different characterization methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), nitrogen (N2) adsorption, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and potentiometric titration to elucidate the structure of the material. AC/MIL-101 and AC/MIL-101/DES composite catalysts were used in the acetylation of glycerol reactions as heterogeneous catalysts. The AC/MIL-101/DES sample gave higher triacetyl glycerol (TAG) selectivity and glycerol conversion in the acetylation reaction of glycerol. The catalytic activity was increased via the incorporation of deep eutectic solvent (DES) into the AC/MIL-101 structure. The acidity value increased after incorporation of DES into the AC/MIL-101 structure, so the TAG selectivity value increased from 1.20 to 3.31% at 90 °C. The maximum conversion of glycerol was found to be 100%, and TAG selectivity was increased up to 15.88% by changing the process conditions. In addition, the AC/MIL-101/DES sample could be regenerated and recycled without any decrement in TAG selectivity or glycerol conversion values.

Synthesis of Hybrid Cellulose Acetate Membranes and Application of the Flynn-Wall-Ozawa Isoconversional Method

The synthesis of hybrid materials is a promising alternative in the production of materials with optimized properties. In this context, the classic cellulose acetate membranes are being modified. It is worth mentioning that knowing the thermal stability of cellulosic materials is an essential factor in their use since organic polymers have low thermal resistance, limiting their applicability. This work evaluates the synthesis and the study of the thermal degradation kinetics of hybrid cellulose acetate membranes. The synthesis was carried out using the sol-gel process, with the phase inversion technique, through the reaction of cellulose acetate with organometallic precursors: tetraethyl orthosilicate, TEOS; 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane, APTES, and titanium isopropoxide, TiPOT, in fixed composition. Thermal characterization was performed with thermogravimetric analysis at different heating rates under a nitrogen atmosphere. The kinetic parameter of thermal decomposition activation energy, Ea, was estimated with the isoconversional method proposed by Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (FWO). The degradation kinetics shows that the change in the chemical composition of the samples directly interferes with their thermal properties. Thus, it is possible to observe that the activation energy found for the reference sample, AC-Pure, in the first and second batches was 233.5 and 219.05 kJ/mol, respectively. The composition modification results in an increase in activation energy, in which sample B0//100-30 recorded 310.31 and 226.05 kJ/mol in the first and second batches; and sample B100//0-30 reached 452.73 and 424.74 kJ/mol. It is clear that the increase in the thermal resistance of the samples is associated with the change in the chemical composition and must be attributed to the increase in the TEOS content in the composition due to the formation and increase in the presence of siloxane groups in the material.

Capacitive Behaviour of Imidazole Azo Modified Carbon Nanotubes/Polypyrrole Composite in Aqueous Electrolytes

Here, we reported imidazole azo (Im) modified carbon nanotubes (CNT) grafted polypyrrole (PPy) via the chemical oxidation method. The synthesized hybrid material has shown a unique structure consisting of carbon nanotubes with a conductive network via polypyrrole. The presence of Im derivatives has helped CNTs to enhance their electrochemical performances. The as synthesized composite was characterized using various techniques like FT-IR, XRD, XPS, and Raman spectroscopy. The morphological studies were performed using SEM technique which also confirmed the nature of the composite. The electrochemical performances of the electrode material were investigated using cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in various electrolytes. The best performance of the electrode material was observed in 1 M H2SO4 with a specific capacitance of 305 F g−1 at a current density of 1 A g−1. The electrode material also showed a coulombic efficiency of 96% even after 5000 cycles.
