They infer that this is discrepant with our findings of HLA B27 in 22 and 73 patients with seronegative rheumatoid arthritis (2) but fail to comment on our predominantly male group of patients with B27, frequent subcalcaneal erosions, and absence of symmetrical upper limb joint involvement.
